SQUARE ENIX Announces New Entry in Mana Series: Visions of Mana
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 7, 2023) – Today at The Game Awards, SQUARE ENIX® unveiled Visions of Mana™, the highly anticipated new instalment in the Mana series. This action-RPG game marks the first mainline release in over 15 years. Scheduled for release in 2024 on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam®, Visions of Mana explores a new adventure with Val, the protagonist. Val is a soul guard assigned to protect his childhood friend, who is chosen by the Faerie as the Alm of Fire. Their mission is to rejuvenate the mana flow by traveling to the Tree of Mana.
The newly released trailer showcases the enchanting world of Visions of Mana. Players can expect exhilarating gameplay, breathtaking environments, and battles against a variety of enemies and monsters, including the beloved Rabites. The game further emphasizes the connection between nature, elemental spirits, and the powers they possess. With real-time 3D combat, both fans and newcomers will experience a new and evolved gameplay mechanic.
Visions of Mana continues the Mana series’ tradition of immersive worlds, captivating characters, and high fantasy storylines. The game features new designs for the beloved creatures by Mana series Illustrator Airi Yoshioka, as well as a captivating musical score composed by Hiroki Kikuta, Tsuyoshi Sekito, and Ryo Yamazaki.
