Introducing FOAMSTARS
SQUARE ENIX® has unveiled FOAMSTARS™, a new online 4v4 foam party shooter, exclusively available for PlayStation®5 (PS5®) and PlayStation®4 (PS4®). As part of the February PlayStation®Plus monthly games lineup, PlayStation Plus subscribers can now access, download, and enjoy FOAMSTARS at no extra cost until March 4, 2024. Those who redeem the game during this period will retain access in their PlayStation Plus library as long as their subscription is active.
FOAMSTARS Launch Highlights
FOAMSTARS starts its journey with Season 1, known as “Starry Pop”, offering a variety of engaging events:
- Ranked Party: Climb up the FOAMSTARS ranks by participating in the solo player-focused Ranked Party Lonestar and the team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe.
- Extreme Party: Engage in two special themed modes – the All Mel T Party, where everyone plays as Mel T, and the Invisible Party, where players battle it out invisibly.
- Happy FriYAY Party: A weekend-exclusive event with no winners or losers, providing a sneak peek at the next FOAMSTARS season’s character, Coiff Guy.
FOAMSTARS Seasons and Updates
FOAMSTARS will receive regular free themed updates throughout the year. Each season, lasting about five weeks, introduces a new character, maps, events, and cosmetics. Players can progress through tiers via experience points (XP) earned from gameplay to unlock various rewards. All players immediately gain access to new modes and maps, ensuring they’re always part of the FOAMSTARS community. Additionally, a $5.99 Premium Season Pass is available for instant character unlocks and extra season-specific cosmetics.
Starting March 5, 2024, FOAMSTARS will retail for $29.99 on the PlayStation® Store and will require a PlayStation Plus subscription.
