November Version Update for FINAL FANTASY XI Online Now Available
LOS ANGELES (Nov. 9, 2023) – SQUARE ENIX® has announced that the November version update for FINAL FANTASY™ XI Online is now live. This update brings several exciting changes to the game, including updates to foes in Normal and Intense Ambuscades, the addition of a new battlefield, and more. In addition, a new co-op campaign event called Vana’Bout will be launching in late November. This event allows players from around the world to join forces and accumulate points by completing special Record of Eminence objectives to earn exclusive rewards.
New Battlefield
A new battlefield has been added to the Aht Urhgan region, featuring Flans as the main foes to be faced in battle.
Updates to Ambuscade
The Normal and Intense Ambuscades have been refreshed with new enemies. Poroggos and heartwings will be making a return.
Login Campaign
The 2023 Login Campaign is currently running until December 2 at 6:00 a.m. Pacific time. Players can earn points and exchange them for various in-game items, including this month’s special item, the Chocobo Chair II.

Players can also look forward to the upcoming Vana’Bout event, a cooperative event where players from all over the world can work together to reach a global goal and earn great rewards.
The WE ARE VANA’DIEL special site, which showcases various aspects of FINAL FANTASY XI and its history, has been updated with new content. The site now features WE DISCUSS VANA’DIEL Season 2, featuring a conversation with Nobuaki Komoto and Koichi Ogawa as they discuss their involvement with the Chains of Promathia expansion. In related news, Naoki Yoshida, the Producer and Director of FINAL FANTASY XIV, recently announced a new 24-player alliance raid battle content for the upcoming expansion pack Dawntrail™. This new alliance raid, titled “Echoes of Vana’diel,” will feature FINAL FANTASY XI. More details about this content will be revealed at the upcoming FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2024 in Tokyo in early January.
