While corruption is a human inevitability, I don't believe that had anything to do with the bombing. Maybe others who pushed for him to do it might have had corrupted reasons, but I believe he wanted to save as many lives as possible. After all, it wasn't like he thought about it for 5 minutes and said "Let it fly!" He took a very long time thinking it over.

Oh please, stop saying what the others are saying! Just by saying that no corruption was involved, you ruined your whole theory.

I am saying that I don't think that corruption affected his reasonings for going forward with it.

    Proof by intimidation.

I want to read a book if possible. Not that I disagree.

Okay then a book isnt needed, so I'll just write a reason which is the cause of my statement:

All humans are imperfect, correct? When a human isn't perfect, he/she has corruption in their mind, body, and actions. When the person made the decision just to kill people, that proves the corruption. Yes, he was trapped. He didnt have another choice. But why? Because of the war's start. If the war hadn't happen, then this wouldn't have happen, would it? The war happened because of the humans' corruption.

    So yes, corruption was involved.

Wrong. If I were to kill somebody because they were going to kill somebody I cared for, that wouldn't make me corrupt.

And not everybody is corrupt. I may not know any of them who aren't, but I know that there are some.

Your statement, reduced to an implication statement is simply this:

Corruption -> (the beginning of) The War -> Bombing

So yes, by Modus ponens, Corruption -> Bombing. Corruption caused the bombing, assuming that Corruption caused the war (which I don't think you need to establish). However this is not Truman's corruption, this is the corruption that began the war...this is oddly enough, an important distinction to be made.

This however says nothing about whether or not Truman was corrupt...merely that his hands were tied given that the war started. Eaglewings is claiming that Truman was not corrupt...nothing further (Infact, his post suggests that others were indeed corrupt, in his opinion). It sounds like Eaglewings believes Truman had a tough decision and tried his best to make the right call. You have not refuted this idea.

EDIT: Again this doesn't reflect MY opinion on the matter...I personally believe Truman was corrupt...I'm simply standing up for Eaglewings.

When you kill someone for protecting him/her, shows you are weak, which is part of corruption. But don't worry, everyone would do it, including me. So I am weak as well.

    Everyone is corrupt.

But willing to kill someone is part of corruption. So corruption was involved.

How does that make me weak?

    Prove it.

In time of war, you either make a decision to kill, or make a decision not to, and allow people to die.

In either case you have blood on your hands...whether or not there is corruption. You could roll a dice to make the decision for you...Is the dice corrupt?

Because you're leaning more towards your love for a person, and not the morality.

I don't need to prove, just by 'living' you can understand my statement.

Just by being part of the war, you are corrupted.

So it isn't the moral thing to do to protect those you love?

You don't need to prove it because you can't. Just like I can't prove that there are some who aren't corrupt.

And stop double posting. Just edit your post.
