Was this meant to be!

Saito scanned over the area, he wondered why they were still wasting time in the Mogue. He despised the place, it reminded him of all of the failed cases and unsaved 'john does' that filled his case files every time there was a major disaster. Luckily, during the I-87 fiasco, Sai wasn't the one who had to clean up, he led his own team for that sort of thing now. Plus, better with E-tech than with the Federal Governement. It was amazing to him, how E-tech had enough of its own funding, security, and close knit ties, that it ran on its own accordance with levels equal to that of the president of their country.

He smirked at Akira as she walked away from him, her fists clenched tightly. He knew the reasoning behind it as well, it would be impossible not to know after spending so much time in the building with super-natural beings such as Akira and Midori. Something dawned on him as he flashed his deep, blue eyes towards Seiya. His lieutenant had been acting kind of like Akira, flustered, perhaps angry. It seemed odd to him, but he payed it no mind for the moment. If Saito said anything else to Seiya, no doubt all of the doors on the Morgue wall would fly open and the dead bodies would roll out. Although, it would be funny to see the look on Akira's face.

He pulled out his carton of cigs from his jacket pocket and flipped the lid up, staring down, into the empty spaces inbetween his three remaining cigarettes. "For fuck's sake....I'm already out of cigarettes.." He grumbled and then snapped his fingers. "Major Tatsuhada!" He shouted.

"Yes General Kimura?" Takeiru rolled his eyes. He had talked to Saito about snapping. Each time Sai's fingers passed each other and made that noise it caused his ears to ache and his brow to twitch in irritation. He's just have to yell at his 'General' about it later. The boy was good at his job and Takeiru didn't mind handing over the title to him, he deserved it, but his attitude always had room for some adjustments.

Saito grumbled to Major Tatsuhada. "I need some cigarettes". He waited, and waited, before Takeiru grabbed his hand that had been in the air from snapping and placed a pack in it.

"Those are bad for you." He growled lightly before going back to what he was doing. Seiya was still huffing about.

Saito looked to the two girls. "Are you ready, or what?" He seemed incredibly impatient. "Midori is already on our asses Akira, wrap it up and lets go."

 

Akira glanced over her shoulder to see Saito was getting a little impatient and was snapping about Midori being already up their asses with work.
"I know that Saito. Just keep your damn pants on or I'll have to douse you in a cold shower later," Akira said as she turned back to Ava and grabbing her hand. She smiled up to the girl knowing that even though she might be scared still of the whole situation, she at least wants to make sure that the girl that nothing bad will happen.
Well, from what I know at the least, I won't do anything bad at this current moment., Aki thought to herself as she walked over to Saito, dragging little nervous Ava with her.

A sudden thought occurred to the black haired scientist as she looked up at Saito with an innocent look in her eyes, "I know that this really isn't your day with what I'm going to ask you next. Can you take the sweet little lassie with you to the training grounds? I have to go round up that blue haired idiot that came charging behind me carrying that sword of his."

Akira quickly let go of Ava's hand as she glanced back at the girl smiling, "Don't fret since Saito will make sure that you're safe for now! I'll be coming over to the training area, just let me know if you still wanna talk after we meet up again."

Akira glanced over at Saito's Major and First Lieutenant before she winked at them smiling, "Tatsuhada, Onayaka? Don't try to make the little cigarette-'diccted psychopath give me more reasons for me to 'accidentally' knock you two off your blocks for whatever the hell he has to deal with."
Before anyone said anything else, Akira bolted out of the Morgue and back down the hallway from where she came from.
I can't stand being in that god damn morgue. Creeps the ever loving hell outta me when I'm in there, Akira thought to herself as she looked around seeing that she wasn't far from where she left her 'exploding wall of water' and the blue haired boy.

She peeked around the corner to see that the wall was still up, but the water wasn't sparking anymore.
Huh, guess that the time on the electrodes is limited for just a while. I wonder how long I was gone for, The scientist thought to herself as she snapped her fingers as the water wall crashed to the floor as if someone dropped a bucket of water all over the place, but the water slowly evaporated as it slowly spread all over the floor.
She looked over at the blue haired boy with the sword before waving her hands slightly as she walked over and grabbed ahold of his shoulder, giving it a small squeeze, "I got what I needed taken care of kiddo, so why don't we head off to training area now? I think you'll get something out of all of this, and maybe some answers to what your powers might be."

Sandi looked over at Sean before smiling faintly, "Name's Sandi, and I'm a little glad that you can control your powers better now. But just out of curiosity, what are you going to do now that you have things under control? I mean, well... Midori did give us a chance to leave if we wanted to, or to stick around if we needed his help for our powers in any way... But about your situation with your dad and girlfriend..."

Sandi rubbed the back of her neck with her free hand not sure how to end the sentence on a note as if she already knew this guy's backstory from just hearing his thoughts, but she noticed that the buzzing was completely gone as she looked over to see Ro was hugging herself with her free arm.

A small sigh escaped the girl's lips as she slowly pulled her hand from Ro's grasp a little relieved that the girl was awake now, "So, are your powers accurate or whatever you needed to see?"

 

Sean got up from the ground to face Sandi.

"Midori? I'm sorry but my mind hasn't been.....well, I've in a way been in and out of consciousness until just now. the last thing I remember before I went into my rage we were all still in that room, but clearly we are not there now. And I'm not sure I want to leave just yet. I may have more control that before but that doesn't mean I'm skillful with this power. If i can leave whenever then I'm going to stay for a while and learn to control this fire."

 

Ro was shaking slightly as Sandi withdrew her hand. "So, are your powers accurate or whatever you needed to see?" Sandi spoke to her. Ro fell back against the wall and closed her eyes. "Yea...yea I think they are." I can see a persons past when I touch them. Maybe the future too because of what I saw with Midori, I have no idea why marie would have met with him in the past. It can only be that her captor ran through the Shuma 6 and they are both being held here.Ro sighed and opened her eyes again, slowly. "Sandi," she said, her voice barley a whisper. "I saw your past...what happened to you at school and, and your parents.....I'm sorry." Ro felt tears threatening to fall. Arent we all just so pitiable.

 

Sandi let a small smile creep its way onto her face as Sean talked. Something about this guy was a little impressive, maybe it was the fact that he wanted to control his powers before returning back to his life.
I wish I had the same type of guts to go back to my life with the powers I ended up having, Sandi thought to herself as she spoke, "That might be for the best for you because who knows what you can do with your powers."
Sandi glanced over at Ro as she whispered sorry about seeing her past. The smile on her face dropped as she nodded, with a hinted grimaced look on her face.
"It's all right. You don't have to be sorry about anything. Besides, what happened in the past, is the past! I doubt that anything will haunt me, for better or worse," Sandi commented as she suddenly wondered on what exactly this girl saw in her past. But instead, she then noticed that she didn't really ask about themselves.
"Oh, I don't think I ever asked what your names are," Sandi said as she looked at the two that were still with her in a sense, knowing that she'll probably enjoy being around these two in some way.

 

Ro sniffled a little bit. No use crying over it. She's right, the past no longer exists. Ro pushed herself up from the ground. "Like Mimi always said, "No day but today."" She smiled and extended her hand toward Sandi.
"I'm Rowena Hart." A thought struck Ro suddenly.

"Hey, I wonder, what's your special power? I don't think you ever told anyone. I assume it's not obvious like mine and Sparky's over there." She said, nodding her head toward the boy.

 

"It's Sean, not 'Sparky'" said Sean getting up off the ground. "And anyway I want to meet the guy in charge here. I want some kind of explanation of what's going on, What was the purpose of that chemical in the first place. I also want to know what they told everyone on the outside about us. You two should come with me, obviously, we're not doing anything right now. might as well find out the truth behind our accident."

Sean made his way to the door, weither or not Sandi and Ro followed him was their choice but he wanted his answers.

 

Ro watched as Sean left the room. She thought of what he had said, about finding Midori. Should I tell them about my vision? I don't quite understand it myself though. But I do know one thing, I need their help if I'm going to find Marie and get her back.
"I'm coming." She said firmly and walked out of the room, the only thing she knew of this facility, falling into step beside Sean. "The man in charge is named Midori. Some of the others suspect that he used this lab to create the Shuma-6 chemical and planned the spill in order to use us as human test subjects. I accidentally touched him earlier and from what I saw of his life," she paused, "That's entirley a possibility."

 

Sandi smiled a little about to talk about what she thinks her powers were before she noticed the two walking out the door. Sandi just stood there a little annoyed as the others left the room. Geeze, like we need to leave in such a hurry, She thought as she trotted out the door and skipped after Ro and Sean.

"Now, I don't know about you two, but I'm pretty sure that Midori is probably not going to be completely honest with us if we actually do ask with straight up these questions of ours," Sandi commented as she tagged behind the two in front of as she looked down the hallway behind her seeing the door that lead to the city and outside world.
Sandi sighed for a moment as she pulled on her headphones cord wanting to play with the cord wrapping around her fingers as she watched the two people in front of her as they made it down the right side of the hallway.
I wonder what's with these two. It's like on the outside, they're trying to portray that they are bold and confident. And yet what I've heard in their dreams, they scared nervous wreaks, Sandi pondered in thought as she wondered what their stories were entirely, besides of what she's already heard when they were unconscious.

 

Midori..." muttered Sean, he was glad to see the two girls followed him, it would have been lonely without company.

"There's no doubt in my mind that he will lie to us Sandi." said Sean. "But if I have to I will burn the answers I need out of him." as he said this a small flame flicked across his hand. Sean snuffed it out. "and anyway...wait.." he stopped walking. "I'm sorry I was a little rude before..what exactly are your powers again?"

 

Sandi noticed Sean was getting a little flared up when he spoke about what he'd do if Midori tried to lie to them. She stopped when Sean asked again about her powers.
"Eh? My powers? Well... First off, you don't need to apologize at all. Second... hell, I don't even know what my powers are specifically," Sandi said scratching the back of her head before she crossed her arms as she thought about what has happened to her so far since she's woken up.
"But... I do know is that what has been happening lately is that I've been able to hear people's... dreams, maybe even their thoughts to be more clear, through my headphones. I've only noticed it a lot more when you guys were passing out the last few times," Sandi said as she scratched her head as she pulled a small smile on her face, "In a sense, I guess I might be a dream reader if you want to call it that. Oh, I guess I should say sorry too since I took a small peek into your dreams a little while ago, the both of you."

 

Sean was embarrassed. "You heard all that then?" he asked Sandi. "then you know about my life outside of here, why I was so upset when we first arrived in this situation. I swear If this was all on purpose, this Midori guy is going to have hell to pay! but If I want the truth, maybe it's best that I don't use my powers." he looked Sandi in the eye. "You said you could hear thoughts right? well then maybe you can tell if someone is lying or not too? It's worth a shot anyway, better try that plan before I end up burning this place to the ground."

 

Sandi nodded to the first things he said until he asked about her being able to tell if people were lying or not.
"That much I wouldn't be able to prove if it's true by this point. It's not as easy as telling if someone is lying because of their heartbeat or because they won't look you in the eye. Even when they're asleep, the body is calm and relax for a reason," Sandi said taking a small step back because she was getting a little uncomfortable with him looking her in the eye, feeling as if he was invading her personal little bubble.
She closed her eyes for a second as she looked back over at the brunette, "And besides, how would I even get close enough to a person so I'd be able to read their thoughts without being suspicious? My power probably has some sort of limit on how far I can hear people's dreams from and so far, they're not really helpful when people are not asleep."

 

"Wait." Ro said, halting in her tracks. "Is it just me, or do you guys also see the opprotunity here?" she asked. "If we all work together, i'm certain that we can get Midori to talk." Ro was so sure of herself at this point. This is my chance.
Then her face fell some. "I..i need help too. Sandi, you remember when I fell onto Midori and touched his hand? Well....i saw his future. And it was, terrible." Ro's smile vanished as she remembered her vision. "And you should know sean....my sister was kidnapped in front of my eyes during the I-87 incident. I saw in Midori's future that....he has her. i know it. He has her locked up somewhere here in this facility and I will get her back!" Ro shouted.

"But, to do that, I need your help. Sandi, you can listen to the thoughts of the guards and Midori and gather information. I'll try to glean what i can from the workers, and sean, you can be our back up muscle. Midori said that we could stay here and train, well, how about it? We stay here and make them think we're one of them. But in reality, we'll be plotting their downfall.'

 

As much as Shuya hated it, he knew he would only be able to fully control his powers if he obeye. "...Okay...let's go..." he said in a depressed voice. "Well...so much for taking a stand...guess I could only look at the bright side of this now..." he thought to himself. "So...exactly how do I get to learn what my power is, and what type of training will it be ?" "Hopefully it's not too bad...". Then another thought came to his head. "Why was it so important to black me from getting to the lab...whatever hopefully it wasn't something too bad." he decided he would try to be enthusiastic about the training even though he knew he would fail.

 

A grin creeped its way onto Akira's face as she walked back down the hallway towards the first room where everyone was first coming into.
"Well, to be truthful, we don't really have a full, or well-done, procedure for you to learn what your powers are. Those who have been working on this chemical, like myself and Midori, don't even know exactly what all of your powers are. The Shuma-6 has had various reactions, seeing as those in that room were given different aspects. In a word, I have no idea what type of powers you might posess, but I think a way that we can test and learn what your powers are is going to have to depend on what type of situational scenarios you are in.
"But, besides putting through various tests, you can also just learn on your own if you want, which is a bit more difficult since you wouldn't know what would set your powers off as," Akira said crossing her arms as she walked forward before coming to a stop.

"Before I rant on anymore on the subject, I just want to let you know that the training process is not that bad! Well, at first it's a little difficult because of how we created the training programs & such, but don't worry so much about it," Akira said quickly as she glanced back at the blue haired boy before smiling.
"I know I might not be a reliable hand of some sort at first, but I do know how to help all of you! You'll just all have to trust me with what I might have in mind is all," She said with a smirk forming on her face as she spoke, "I maybe not be as strong as my friend with his big guns or as calm like Midori, but I have my ways in helping you with what I have in mind. You can thank me later when we actually get down to that. But instead of me chit chatting, let's make our way to the training area, shall we?"

Sandi just raised her eyebrow when Ro talked about her little scheme about helping her little sister that might be held here as a captive.
"Ok, as much as this little plan goes, do you really think that it is even wise to try and go against Midori & whoever else works with him," Sandi asked as she looked at the two nervously.
"I'm just saying, that what if there's something that we overlook and then we're found out about? I... I guess I can say I'm up for the idea for now, but I think we should think a little bit more on what we're actually going to plan I suppose," Sandi said throwing her hands into her air as she couldn't think of another reason on why this was a terrible plan from the start.

 

Sandi looked at Ro strangley, then began to negate her plan. Ro thought she was backing out until she heard "I guess I can say i'm up for the idea for now..."
"Well, if we don't do somthing...who will? He's given us plenty reason to bring him down. Do you really think all of our lives will ever be the same? Sean could very easily set his house or his family on fire if he gets angry just once. Could you look at someone the same way again if you knew what they were thinking? My power is activated by touch, training or not, i don't think I could live with it if knew the future of everybody I bump into. And besides," Ro stated, "You've never seen my plans in action." And with that said, she smiled widley at Sandi, inaudibly thanking her.

 

Sean thought about that. he had more control over his fire now, but his temper still had a say in the matter. Just, much less of a say since his meeting with his subconscious self.

"Well then, maybe Midori has a cure for that chemical." he said. "but that's a question for later. for now we should act like we're in a training session. with that cover we can make our way to a leading scientist or Midori himself. They will have the answers we want. We were told only nine people were infected...but maybe that was a lie too. if that's the case than many people's lives depend on this plan. Truth be told...I'm a fantastic liar. so if anyone asks us questions let me do the talking. if that doesn't work...we use plan B and fight our way out."

 

Sandi thought about it for a moment of what Ro was telling her. Seeing as if she was able to go back to her normal life and become involved with others, what is she supposed to think if some charming fellow she meets is actually not as much of a great guy from what she's heard in his dreams and thoughts?
Crap, I hate it when people are right. But that just means that I have to be asleep first before I hear their thoughts then... Right? Sandi thought to herself as she saw Ro grinning in her direction after speaking about something about the plan again.

She was able to comment again, but Sean started saying something about how there might be a cure and maybe we'd be able to lie to get the answers out of Midori and some top scientist working on this chemical.
After he finished speaking about fighting our way out if we come across no answer, Sandi finally broke in still a little troubled by their plans. But what she said was different than what she was thinking about.
"Well, I guess I can't argue against your two plans any longer," Sandi said not wanting to get into another argument with the two people as a crooked smile appeared on her face, "besides, maybe we'll just get lucky and get the answers we want in return in we play our cards right, wouldn't you two say so?"

 

"Absolutley." Ro said. She felt her soul rising as she took in the faces of her two companions, now co-conspirators. Until she encountered Midori, Ro had thought Marie was lost. Now, thanks to these two, she was everything but. Even if we can never go back to being normal, I'll take condolence in knowing that I'm not the only one. I know that we met for a reason. And maybe this is it.
"Alright. From now on, we're in this together. We have to look out for each other. And don't tell anyone else. If the wrong person finds out what we're planning then I can't imagine the consequences. For now we need to assimilate ourselves into this operation. Not to mention with the training we'll be doing, our powers will become sharper and more under our conttol. That could be vital."
