Warlords of the Borders: War of the North

  1. O.O.C.: He doesn't use shields, lol. Only two katanas, black and white.

The hair slowly began to fall, Leo moved in and shoulder bumped him and slashed at his hammer, disarming him. The hair lightly touched the grass and his blade was pointed at his throat as he opponent fell to the ground. "Hmm, it would seem that you need to train in the way of the sword. That is the weapon my people use. With it, we have never lost a battle. The sword represents the lions unbreakable strength and will. I . . . I shall teach you. You train with me along with my soldiers. Your training starts tomorrow."

The wind blew and threw the hair into the air. He looked at his opponent and slashed out at the hair. The hair split down the very middle of it and he smiled. "Wake up at the very first sign of sunlight. You'll need every once of energy, for you are not allowed to eat breakfast during the training."

Robin had lost, this was his third battle he had lost in his life, three to many for him. He love his hammers, and bow as well, but a sword when you swing takes time to swing back, with his hammer he could crush his oppentents with one hit sometimes. He got up and the king walked away. Training with the king to use a blade and with his soliders, not what he expected. He was being laughed at too, which made him mad. He got up and a knight, a young one came up to him. "Looks like your the laugh of the day, but dont worry, you are really good with a small hammer like that, and a blade hammer too. Being able to move and shot with a long bow is also something you dont see everyday. Your almost as good as the elves." the knight said, then he walked away. The king never said where he could sleep, and Robin did not care, he would sleep here. Then the same knight came up to him and said"if you want you can sleep in my room, i got two beds and my roommate left. So i got some room." he said, Robin took the offer,"Thanks, and my name is Robin, no last name, i mean i got one but cant say." Robin said and left at that.

  3. Leonardo walked towards the castle doors and was stopped by an old woman. She looked at him with piercing eyes. He smiled at her and bowed politely but was greeted with a somewhat hostile and trailing voice. "You are searching for something King Leonardo . . . but to claim it, you must lose something dear."

As the old woman spoke, King Reeron laughed as he leened against a castle pillar. It was getting late, he should be getting back to the elven castle. If he didn't, his daughter would get worried. An uproar like that in the castle would best be avoided.
He called the eagle, hid himself in the bright-brown feathers again and flew off into the sunset that set on the horizon.

Feghleen looked over at the city, which was faint from the distance he was at. He knew that his men were few, and their's were great, they didn't have much of a chance unless he found something to weaken them with. He looked around at his men, who were in the cave, some talking, some around a large fire, some eating, some sleeping. He knew his men were too worn out to fight again so soon.

Reeron heard something strange to the place he was in. He stuck his head out of the large feathers and looked through his thick goggles, only to see enemy bat riding bandits up ahead. The king sighed. He pulled out his elven greatbow as he saw the riders attack with their large spears.
The king was known not only for his strategic intellect, but also his great skill in the greatbow.
He quickly shot three arrows at the riders as the battle began.

  7. As Leonardo walked into the throne room of his castle he looked at the large mural painting of his father and smiled at it. His father had on his legendary armor that was used in one of the major wars in their history. He looked down to the left of the painting and saw his mother next to his father, smiling gently with her own armor and her hand on his armored chest. He thought to himself, "If they were here right now with me, things would be easier. I need his advice . . . more than ever now." he conitnued his walk until he was stopped by bumping into a woman. He had accidentally knocked down here things and started to pick them up. "I am sorry," he said kindly as he picked up the fallen fruits and vegetables the woman had.

He looked at her as she joined in the gathering of fallen fruits and veggies and was taken back by her beauty. She had long blonde hair that covered her blue eyes elegantly. She was about his age, 20 at the youngest and had a kind and gentle smile that made him feel warmer inside. She had a very gorgeous figure that was complimented by her face, which seemed to look like the heavenly goddesses that his people had in their polythesitic religion.

After the two completed the small mission they looked at each other for a moment and smiled. She bowed her head and said with a kind voice, "I am sorry my lord. I was not paying attention and have bumped into you. Forgive me."

He blushed lightly and said, "It is not you at fault, but merely me. Carry on and may the great lion be with you." He waved to her as she departed. He stared at the ground and noticed she had dropped a white rose. He picked it up and placed it in his room in a single small vase with water. "I shall return this to you new morrow."

Bartimaeus was on the floor breathing heavily, Jiggehlag had bested him, aparently he finally learned some good magic, he was surprised that he used mostly weapons then magic, after all the years Bartimaeus tought Jiggehlag, when Jiggehlag was Bartimaeus's pupil, only 15 years ago, 5 years after the war started, Jiggehlag was an amazing student, the best Bartimaeus ever had, he never thought that Greed would get to Jiggehlag. He strayed to Eastern borders to find treasure, he was overcome by the forces of evil and after the King of the East noticed his remarkable fighting skills, he turned him into a Troll. Terlahn Jiggehlag, had become an enemy, Bartimaeus never forgot this moment in his life, when his 29 year old apprentice who was like a son to him, turned into a monster..He teleported back to the northern kingdom. He walked into the castle and found Leonardo in his room "Your highness, the trolls, they have won the battle, i coulden't beat Jiggehlag, i tought him well..But onto the matter at hand, the forces of evil have extended their borders into ours, this is a bad thing your highness, i'm scared for my people.." Bartimaeus said in a concerned tone

  9. Leonardo finished taking off his armor and rushed to his friend and called out to servants to administer extra treatment for the wounds he had sustained. "By the Gods and Godesses in th heavens, why did you out by yourself?! You could've been killed!" He stopped his sentence sort as he saw the despair in his friend's eyes. He cleared his throat and placed a kind hand on his friend's shoulder and sat him down on the throne floor kneeling on one knee to him and spoke. "I understand why you left, when I saw my people held up my heart was heavy and woeful. But you fought valiantly for the honor and safety of your people. But you need to understand that your emotions should never cloud your judgement."

He rose to his feet and helped his friend up. "Now, there is a very serious matter to discuss--" his sentence was cut off by a bloody and beaten scout. "My . . . my lord . . ." the scout slurred and collapsed. "No . . ." he said, voice distantly trailing off into the night and ran to the fallen scout. He saw an arrow in his chest and looked away, bringing his hand and closing the eyes of the dead scout. "It is true . . . we are facing an enemy that is just as efficient in the way of the sword as we are. We must gather more allies. In three weeks we shall be traveling to the Dwarves . . . they are more efficient in the crafting of armor far greater than anyone else in this world. They created the armor for my father . . . so they may help us."

He got up and spoke out to his friend and everyone else in the room. "LIGHT THE BEACONS AND PREPARE THE ARMIES!!! I HEREBY DECLARE WAR ON OUR ENEMIES! MAY THEY BE CRUSHED BY THE POWER OF THE RAGING LION THAT REST IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS KINGDOM!!!" He lowered his gaze and spoke to his friend, "You shall be coming with me tomorrow and throughout the days following the depature, we shall train morning, noon, and night in the way of the sword with army. Be ready my friend, for we will all need the strength."

Robin was listening to the kings speech, so they were going to the small men, Dwarves. This was good, he could get a better hammer, he heard that they made there weapons with some kind of magic too. If he could get a new hammer blade that would be good, it was too small and the blade to skinny, he needed a axe blade and a flat hammer side too. It had to be big too. Robin went up too the King, he asked him," Um, Mister King, will i be going with you to the Dwarves, if i am to help you, i would need some new weapons, and they would be perfect." Robin said as he waited for a answer.

  11. Leonardo nodded to him and spoke, "Yes, your skills would be very usefull for the times to come. However, you are to be off to your chambers for much needed rest. I myself must be off, good night and rest well my young friend." He bowed very, very lightly and set off to his resting chambers. He closed his eyes knowing that the kingdom would have no trouble if the attacker tried again, for this time, they were ready.

As Reeron swiftly flew across the raging bat riders his eyes widened harshly.
"Wait.. Those aren't bandits. They're trolls!" Reeron thought as he observed them in the second he flew by.
He swiftly shot an arrow fiercely in one of the bat's back. The troll riding it quickly fell off afterwards as the bat staggered rampagingly and flew away. The other riders quickly came after him.
This won't do.. Reeron thought and put his bow away. He pulled out a scroll from his waist-pocket and muttered a few words. Quickly after, a mist cloud massively erupted, giving the king the chance to escape.

  13. King Leonardo blinked his eyes once, then twice as he slowly got up out of his bed and leaned his back against the wall. He looked to his right and saw the still dark sky outside. He smiled and looked at the sundial and saw that the time was three in the morrow. He got up and an assistant on his night shift came to him and Leonardo told him to awaken the troops and generals for the mornings training. The assistant bowed lowly in reverence and respect and started off to do his duties. Leonardo bathed himself briefly and opened his large dresser to reveal his armor and unhinged it. After finishing dressing, he got his two blades and started out of his chambers and into the main hall. Before opening the throne room doors and going out into the kingdom he knelled on one knee and said a prayer to their deity, the glorious lion, Sabim and left.

It was 3:30 AM, Bartimaeus was in a small clearing outside Leonardo's castle, meditating on what has just happened, he was bested by his own former pupil, the Trolls have taken over a small part of his people's land. His king declared war on their brother men..The war hadn't been so bad untill now. He then sensed something, first it was far away, then it was close, then far again, then close again. It was coming from the south, then the east, then the west and then it stopped. He heard a howl, a hiss, a roaring noise and what sounded like a falcon. He then saw what he never thought he'd see. A Giant ring of fire surrounded him, Bartimaeus jumped up "What is this?" He asked as he looked around, he sensed that presense again, it was very powerful. Then a grey Wolf, just walked through the fire, untouched by the flames. It had pearcing yellow eyes, it looked at Bartimaeus as if it was going to pounce, but it stood still. Then a lion, walked through the fire, it was a majestic animal, it's pelt looked as if it was made of gold. He also looked at him. Then, a giant snake slithered through the fire, it was as big as the lion and the wolf. Then a giant falcon flew down next to the Lion, Wolf and the Snake. They all looked at him, for once in 10 years, Bartimaeus was afraid, he didn't understand what was going on. Wolves are from the south, Falcons, the west, snakes the east, Lions from the north "What's going on?" Bartimaeus asked. The Wolf approached him "Be still, Bartimaeus, we will not hurt you." It said
Bartimaeus froze, an animal, just talked to him. "How did you..?"
"Talk? This is just my physical form...I am Kerando." The wolf replied
"The Wolf of the South..? How can this be?" Bartimaeus thought to himself
"Yes, i am the Wolf of the south." The Wolf said
"How did he know what i was thinking?"
"I am a god, i can read your thoughts. We have come to tell you of crysis that is unfolding before you and your king." The Wolf said, his voice, sounded deep and rough

"Very true, the events that have just happened were just the beginning of a long and dangerous war. The enemy is rising against you." The lion said, his voice, deep and calm.

"Your...Sabim? The Lion of the north?" Bartimaues asked

"What you say is true." The Lion replied.

The snake spoke up "Kerando's people have betrayed him, Bartimaeus, so have mine. It fills us all with grief."

"Your..Cajunadum, the snake of the east?" Bartimaeus asked

    The snake nodded.

Bartimaeus turned to the Falcon "I know you, your the watcher of my people, Venjinda, the Falcon of the West, please tell me Great Falcon..Why did you not enpower the mage's protecting Laherin to stop the Trolls?"

The Falcon put it's head down "I wish i could have, but all this evil has been draining my power to do so much."

"I used to think my people were great people, those dogs dare declare war on their own fellow men? This is outragous!" The Wolf said

"Calm yourself, Kerando. There are more ways of settling war. But i think i must agree with him, since the Trolls and Orcs, and Goblins and Ogres came to help their overlords, fighting is the only way to go. Bartimaeus, you must be strong, we can help you, but not much." Sabim said

"What must we do next?" Bartiameus asked

"The Dwarves wish to gain passage to the island, but they must gain the Dark Elf's trust before they can cross through their land to get to the High Elven lands. They cannot go around to your land due to the Easternlings. You will help them, you have more men then King Jathag does, you must go through the Eastern deserts to his castle and go with him to the Dark Forests of the Dark Elves." Venjinda said.

"We must go now Bartimaeus, we will try and contact you soon." Sabim said. They then dissapeared, the ring of fire, gone, Bartimaeus got up, it was a dream, a vision. It was already 6:00AM he got up and looked for the King

  15. Leonardo's body began to drip with sweat with every swing of his sword. His moves were strong and fast, the sound of his blades whistled throughout the air. The other soldiers along with him and his generals, mimicked the excellent form in unison. "Every stroke of your blades is like a new live, whether this new life you give your attacks is what brings your enemies down to their knees shows you how well the life of your blade is. Make your moves fast and swift, never failing to hit your target!"

He noticed Bartimeaus running to him. He told the general to begin a new training drill and he sheathed his blades. He stopped at his friend and spoke to him somewhat sternly, "It has been many an hour since we have started. You and I will be doing to extra methods later on so that you may help me with your magic abilites and I shall help you with your swordsmanship. What is the matter my friend? You seem troubled."

Bartimaues looked around and then at Leonardo "The..The great gods of the North, South, East and West...They came to me...In a physical form. In a vision.." He said. He knew the king woulden't believe him, he'd think that it was just a dream, true it was, but it was real and fake all at the same time "Sabim, Kerando, Cajunadum and Venjinda, they told me that in order to win the war we must aid the dwarves in crossing the sea onto the island, they have to go through dark elf lands, the gods want us to help them by going through the eastern deserts to the dwarven lands and help them, we have to go to Jathag's castle."

    Uhhhhh...Double post, somehow..

  18. Leonardo placed a pondering hand under his chin and began to think of the newly brewing situation. "Hmm . . . the gods have to come to him indeed, I can tell by his voice. However, we would have to do some major preparing our defenses while we are gone from here. I cannot risk coming back to a destroyed kingdom." After finishing his thought, he looked up at his friend and nodded, "Very well, our plans must be pushed forward to tomorrow then. I shall have my best generals set up defensive tactics. They will hold while we are gone. We ride at dawn. In the meantime, you and I must still train."

The giant eagle landed on the balcony of the royal chambers and King Reeron slowly jumped out on it.
He was covered in blood and has tears all over his clothes. The bat riders were not alone..
It didn't matter anymore though, they were all dead now..
Reeron petted the eagle on the head and it flew away. He slowly walked in the chambers and put off his goggles.

Feghleen watched as he saw something big fly in the distance, he watched untill it came close enough to make out what it was, it was a giant bat with a dead troll on it. When the bat landed Feghleen looked at the dead troll, it had an arrow in it's back, it was a well shot arrow, perfectly went through his back into his heart, whoever killed his scouts was quite the marksman.

Bartimaeus nodded "Yes..It will take us at least 4 days to get through the desert." He walked off to the magic training area, he was usually the only one there due to not many mages being in the north.

(OOC During these 4 days in the desert i will be taking my role as an RPmaster, i will tell everyone via the OOC thread when the day will be over and i will decide what will happen on that day. So basically when i say the day will be almost over, if anyone is having a conversation, finish it ASAP)

Jiggehlag watched as the remaining port workers and mages were exicuted in many different ways. Some had millstones tied to their necks and then thrown into the water, others were beheaded, some were thrown into furnaces, some were shot by arrows.
