Sits back in his chair as the beam of light comes out of the pendent. Dune has seen many diffrent kinds of magic, but this was really new to him. He watched in awe as Kane and zach talked to each other through this projector. Dune's world was still in medieval era with knights and magic running amok throughout the world. Even so, holographs and and two way callings is still a mystery to there people. They finish talking, after having a form of transportation easily used with out high spells or tags, Dune was still confused as to what he just saw, but quickly shook it off and regained his stature.

He looks over at Kane and asks "Who, or what was that? I have never seen magic like that before."

    >Dialogue<

"That was the most annoying aura user in my world, Zackarias house Holister. He also has some ties to Yuko apparently, and he's traveled around the dimensions. You wouldn't know about it because we don't use 'Magic' but Aura. Its a kind of energy our bodies give off naturally, and a select few of us have found out how to tap into it. He used his aura powers to send me this file, and he probably built this necklace the same way. I doubt there are any more and I don't really possess the knowledge to make one."

Gerik flipped through the case file. "Hmm.... Water based attacks. Potential god mode. About that tall." He closed the folder and set it down. "Well, since you're talking about him, I'm gonna go ahead and assume he's on this world." The people who were talking behind Gerik had already left. "And I'm also gonna go ahead and assume that you heard the conversation that was going on behind me a little while ago. Which then means if we want to find this guy, and your woman, we might want to start gathering some information on him." Gerik stood up, turning towards the door. "I'll be in the 9th circle, trying to find out something." He then started to walk towards the door.

    >Now it's your turn, right Zerieth?<

    >Yeppers. Note my guy was not in the place when that whole ninth circle thing was mentioned.<

As Gerik leaves Kane turns to Dune. "What is this whole ninth circle thing he was talking about? For that matter did you guys manage to figure out where we are?" As he asks Kane expands his awareness to encompass the whole room. It was a exercise he found to be very difficult but also useful. Back in his world everyone had an aura of their own but only a select few had the ability to tap into it. Expanding ones awareness meant expanded his ability to sense aura's. Some could do just rooms like Kane, others whole towns, and even still others could manage about a twenty mile radius. However Kane lacked that kind of fine tuned control so unfourtanetly he was incapable of expanding his awareness for much further than one town block. Still he didn't find Darmen but he did find that a lot of people in the room were surprisingly know where near drunk, though a select few were. Odd. This is a tavern so you'd think there was heavy drinking going on.

"Well, we didn't find out exactly where we are, but what those women said as they hoard around Mokona was that we are in the sixth circle of some large city. The Higher in numbers you go, the further away from the center you go. The Ninth is the place where you can gather all sorts of information."

Mokona stands up and starts grumbling. He then shakes his head wildly and his normal, peppy stature returns to him. "Mokona Is back, baby!" Looks around and sees all the girls are gone. "Awww, Mokona was having fun..." Dune Picks up Mokona and put's him on his shoulder.

"Any ways, it would probably be wise to follow him. I want to get a good look of the town, so I'm going to take my time getting up there."

"Mokona says we need to find and umbrella first!"

    >For the oddest reason, making this post is making me want to play FF7<

    >Denki, you made a slight mistake about the circles. I fixed it.<

Gerik looked around as he stepped outside. He saw a sign, at the edge of the fog. If the fog were any thicker, he wouldn't be able to see it. He read the sign. "7th circle this way. 5th circle that way. I'm guessing these are roads that connect each circle." He began walking down the path towards the outer circles.

Gerik reached the wall dividing the 6th and 7th circles. "I wonder why they have such large walls dividing the areas." He muttered to himself as he looked up. "Oh well. Onwards to the 9th circle."

    ----

Gerik reached his destination. "I wish this fog would let up. Makes it difficult to find any buildings that would give a clue as to who has information in this area."

"Mokona sometimes you just gotta deal with getting wet." Kane muttered unsure if Mokona would hear him. Aloud he said, "I guess I'll take to the roof tops. Let's meet up here again in an hour or so. I assume our friend Gerik will think to come back here."

Kane headed outside and looked up and down the street. Satisfied no one was around he jumped onto the roof and began hopping from roof top to roof top senses alert for any thieves that may have decided to do the same as him. He spotted one of the signs reading, "4th circle," and headed towards it. He was certain that Darmeth wouldn't be dumb enough to hang around such an obvious place as they 9th one so this was as good a place as any to start looking.

"Can do!" Walks outside in the rain as the fog was setting in. They walk over to a stand and buy a little mokona sized umbrella. The person behind the stand barely even batted an eye when he saw Mokona. Dune didn't get one for himself because his suit has a magic coating on it that made it essintially water proof. It doesn't have a hood on it, but getting his hair wet, doesn't seem to bother Dune very much. He looks up the street and, as well as he can tell, it goes to the high rings.

"Well, I'm sure both of them are going to the highs sector, so I think I'll check out the other side of the city."

"Mokona hopes people can understand them."

"That's right, you do make it to where people can understand us...hope that doesn't become a problem." They begin going down the road.

"Hello. I'm looking for somebody who would deal in information gathering. Would this building happen to have someone who does?" Gerik asked somebody who answered the door he knocked on.

"No." The person said, only showing their head from opening the door. "This circle may be known for information, but there are no official information gatherers. The whole information buisness here is an underground thing."

"I see. Thank you." Gerik said before walking away from the building. "Hmm... I wonder how I can find one of these people."

"Psst." A voice whispered out to Gerik. He turned around, looking for the voice. "Looking for some information?"

"Yes. Who is this and where are you?"

"Don't worry about that. If you need information, please go into that alleyway over there." Gerik saw only one alleyway, due to the fog. He walked into it.

    "Okay. I'm here." He spoke.

On a wall, a small panel opened up. Gerik could see somebody's eyes looking at him through the opening. "Need some information?"

"Yes." Gerik spoke, ignoring the complete strangeness of this. "I'm looking for somebody who goes by the name of Darmeth." Gerik then began describing him. "I believe his traveling with a woman who goes by the name of Kana."

"Hmm..." The information guy muttered, thinking about Gerik's search. "I haven't heard anything about a Darmeth. I recall hearing something about a Kana though. She suddenly appeared in the 3rd circle about a week ago. She was alone and wandering aimlessly. Some family took her in, cleaned her up a bit, yaddah yaddah. Anyways, about a day or two after she appeared, some man came looking for her. He took her from the family, probably going to kill them if they resisted."

"That doesn't really help." Gerik spoke, looking like he was glaring.

"Anyways, I've heard rumors that this Kana is being held in..." The guy told Gerik the locale. "The strange thing about it is that they should've been caught in their location. The majority of people may not know their way around that area, but the guards there know it like the back of their hands. It's a disturbing idea that they're there, if this Darmeth is who you say he is. Is there any other information you may require?"

"Not now. If I do, I'll come back." Gerik spoke, the guy closing the panel afterwards.

    >Gerik will tell them the location when he reaches them.<

    >Roger. Kane's sensing skills are less than to be desired so he will get a general direction but nothing more.<

This is so freakin frustrating. I can feel Darmeth lieing low but all I can determine is a very vague direction. I can't even tell how far out he is. Why oh why did I have to not pay attention during that sensor class? Actually it wasn't the fact that he didn't pay attention but more the fact that he simply wasn't built for sensing. While Kane was an excellent fighter and assassin he usually needed to be pointed at his targets before he could find them. Unless Kane came within a hundred yards of Darmeth he'd only get a vague image. No matter how hard he tried or extended his awareness. Some people had it and some didn't.

Kane checked his watch and realized for the first time that it was broken. In fact the hands weren't even turning at all. "What the hell?" he asked in wonder. "I just bought this so why is it stopped? Does it have to do with that Mokona thing? Did that dimension jump stop it? Or even more. Did it stop time for me?" He shook his head at the thought. "Doubtless, something fishy is going on. Time isn't moving for my watch the same as it did for Earth. Something to think on I guess. Till then," and with that Kane jumped into the air and vanished. It was time to head back to the meeting point.

The fog around Gerik quickly thickened. He wasn't able to see much farther past his own nose. "How highly unnatural." He muttered to himself. "Let's see... Fog is just the inside of a cloud. Clouds are made up of water. Darmeth, and others, has power over water. But did his file list fog-making as a power? This is highly inconvenient." Gerik closed his eyes, activating his Eyes of Horus spell. When he opened them, he could see the different colors of people's auras. "Much better. Now... Dune and Kane are in..." He slowly turned in a circle, looking for their auras. "That direction. If Mokona wasn't there I don't know if I'd find them." Gerik started heading towards the direction he saw them in.

The Fog got very thick where he was as well. Dune looked around trying to find his way, but it was a bit futile. Finally he saw an alley way, and got an idea. He quickly runs into the alley and in the blink of an eye, he and Mokona where now a bolt of lighting flying high into the air. They traveled higher and higher until they finally reached the top of the mist. He stopped in mid air, and levitated using the magnetic pulses. "Now, we where just right there and we travel for about....Ah Ha! That little light down there should be the Bar."

"This is awesome!" Yelled Mokona, as they bolted down to the ground and struck right in front of the Bar.

"There we go. I beleive this was the place."

    >Sorry it took so long to post. I've been having trouble getting anything done lately<

"Feels like Denki is well on his way. I so gotta figure out how his powers work. It's not aura but it has to tie into his body some how." Kane looked around him as the fog thikened. "Why do I feel that this fog isn't natural?" He vaguely remembered something about fog in the case file but didn't really remember it. I wonder. Kane held his right hand out and a wave of energy collected into it. Suddenly the energy exploded shooting wind in all directions. The fog was blown apart but almost instantly came back together again. "Figures he'd learn some new tricks." Kane continued back to the tavern hoping to arrive last.

Gerik was making his way through the 7th circle. Unsuprisingly, nobody was outside. With fog this thick, it would be suicide for the residents here to be out and about. All the auras Gerik saw were inside buildings. A strong, quick breeze blew by Gerik. "What the fuck?" He cursed out loud. The complete randomness of the breeze was what suprised him. "I think that came from the direction of Kane's aura. That, or we have a wind mage or something here. Shannon could do that, right? Wind magic and plant magic. Oh well. That's all the way back home." Gerik was getting closer to the entrance to the 6th circle. "Really creative guys." He muttered to himself. "Just meet back at the tavern. Then again, I don't know if they could see through this fog like I can."

Mokona was getting really fidgity as he jumped all over the place looking in every which way to try and find Gerik and Kane. "Where are they? It's too hard to see out here."

"You are very impatient aren't you Mokona? We don't even know if they are on there way back as well. Heck, they could be half way across the town by now." Dune looks around as Mokona jumps down onto his shoulder.

"This is boring. Mokona want Beer."

"I think you have had enough beer for one day."

"Mokona doesn't know what you are talking about." He turns to the side away from Dunes face and has a larger deviant smile on his face.

"I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like that face..."

    >Ok I wanna kick some butt so bare with me. Seeing as how everyone is taking their sweet time getting back and I wanna be last then I shall use this to take up time.<

Kane landed on the ground and began walking to the next building, which was to big a jump for him to make without drawing excessively on his powers. He didn't get to far before a strong brute of a man appeared out of the fog. He was a big guy, and, Kane was quick to note, had a big knife. "You're money or your life."

"Oh really? And you are expecting to beat me with what army?" Kane almost instantly regretted that piece of witticism as a large group of men came out of the fog surrounding him. "Oh."

"Does this army suffice?" The leader asked with a wide grin.

Kane sighed. "Not even close. Look I am just passing through and I'm broke. I really don't wanna fight you guys cause I doubt you'd be ready for a guy like me. Can't we just talk this out?"

Apparently Kane's poor attempt at tact wasn't going over well. People were gritting their teeth in rage. "You think you can just insult us and walk away with your life? Money or not you are a dead man walking."

Kane swapped tactics. "What ever. If its a fight you want then," his expression suddenly darkened into the face of a cold hearted killer, "you forfeit your life." With that Kane sprung into motion."

A bystander would have thought Kane had no chance in hell. That same bystander would then note just how unbelievably fast Kane moved. Kane struck out at the first two men who came after him, catching one in the jugular with an outstrectched hand, and the other in the chest. With his energy focused to his arms the attack was magnified by three, and the man fell back with blood coming from his mouth. The other went down in a heap, clutching at his throat.

The next two approached more cautiously, and with large cleavers in their hands. Kane went into a crouch, eyes constantly moving back and forth between them as they closed in. Suddenly one of them gave a loud bellow and charged in. Kane jumped up over the man and brought his heel down on the mans skull. He went down like a light, and Kane grabbed the knife from his raised hand as he did a fast flip to land squarely on his feet. The next came in swinging the knife but Kane easily blocked the attack.

"Ok you two," Kane begins by pointing at the last two before the main man. "If you come at me I think you might live. You won't touch me but you might survive with a lot of bruises. If that over grown brute of a man comes at me though he will die. So you three still wanna come at me?" The three make a rush at Kane. "Figures."

Kane ducked low to sweep the feet of the first man out from under him. He went down with a crash. Kane came up slightly to punch the second man in the stomach, knocking the breath out of him. Finally Kane threw his knife into the leaders chest, and created a ball of high speed wind in his hand. Kane drove it in were the knife was, drilling a huge hole in the mans chest. The leader looked at Kane with a confused expression before falling to the ground.

Kane turned and walked away saying, "Told you so." With that he jumped onto the next roof top and continued on his way. In the shadows behind him Darmeth smiled. "Wow you never change do you Kane?"

    >A simple 'Kane reached Gerik and Dune' would've sufficed. Also, is Darmeth gonna be the villain? Or somebody else?<

Gerik was at the gate connecting the 6th and 7th circles. He stopped his eye spell, causing his eyes to revert back to normal. "I know my way from here." He thought to himself as he continued walking to the tavern. He reached it before the rest of the group. "Might as well get a drink while I wait for them." He muttered, walking over to the bar. "Barkeep, a pint please."

"Sure thing." The barkeep muttered. He filled up a mug and slid it down the bar, straight into Gerik's hand.

"Thanks." Gerik said before taking a sip. He had a gold coin in his hand. "He didn't mind last time. After all, it's solid gold. Who cares where it came from?" Gerik flicked the coin off his thumb, the coin landing in the tip jar.

    >I think he means it is taken too long for us to post, which I'm sorry for. I've barely had time to make new comics Lately. So is the life of a High School Senior<

Mokona continually gets more and more fidgety, jumping up and down, and all around trying his best to look through the fog. "It really is taking them a while to get here" Said Dune "I wonder how much longer it will be..."

"Mokona tired of waiting! Mokona is going inside."

"Hey mokona, wait." Dune hands Mokona a bag of a few silver coins. "That should suffice for a drink or too"

Mokona takes the money with a giant grin. "You caved!" Runs on into the tavern.

Dune shruggs and laughs as Mokona runs into the Tavern, through the endless furniture and up to the bar where he jumps up to the counter and asks for the barkeep. "Beer over here!". Looks over and sees Gerik sitting next to him. Then looks back at the Bar keep. "Make that Rum."

    >Ok I guess I can be the second guy in.<

Kane landed on the ground in front of the tavern with practiced ease. "Bout time. I was worried I wouldn't find this place though that cream puff ball puts out enough energy to make himself show up from miles around, even to me." Kane pushed open the door to see Mokona ordering a drink. "Make it Rum!" Mokona called cheerily. Kane warp stepped behind him, and stared at Mokona's back.

Mokona started, then turned around slowly to see Kane's face right in his own. "What, did, I, say, about, Drinking!?" Kane finished with a roar. He snagged Mokonas money away.

"Nooo! I want Rum, I want Rum!"

"TO BAD! Barkeep if you got something non alcoholic you can give it to him. We established that he was to have no beer or alcohol of any kind."

"You got it," the barkeep called. He plopped three fruit juices down for Kane, Mokona, and Dune. Kane give him the money, then grabbed his drink.

Mokona drank his drink sobbing quietly to himself while Kane looked over to Dune. "Well, you find anything out on your stroll?"

"No alcohol for Mokona." Gerik chuckled to himself, noticing that Kane hadn't seen him there yet. Even though he was at the bar. He then spoke up to Kane. "As for myself, I might've uncovered Darmeth's possible location." Gerik got up and walked over to a booth. As he did, he spoke out so Kane and Dune would hear him. "It'll probably better if we get some form of privacy. I'll tell you what I heard once I get your guy's stories. Wouldn't want any conflicting info. But boy do I have a story for you. I think you'll be interested in it Kane." Gerik sat down in one of the booths, drinking from the mug. He waited patiently for everybody else to get there.
