"What wonderful faith Mokona has in us." Gerik thought to himself. He heard yelling up near the mountain. He looked up to see Kane running down, the dragon following him. "That was awfully quick." He turned to Dune. "Looks like it's just about your turn. Make us proud." He took Mokona off of Dune's head. "Since you wanna fight the dragon so badly, stay with me."

The dragon roared as it chased Kane down the mountain. This was the first human stupid enough to dare approach its cave. The dragon was oblivious to everything except Kane. It had no idea the plan that it was running into. The dragon shot a few more bursts of fire.

"Now would be a good time to get into position Dune." Gerik spoke as he climbed up a bit of the mountain. It was out of Kane's path, so the dragon wouldn't notice him. He readied himself.

Standing at the base of the hill and looks up at Gerik then at the Dragon and Kane. He then closes his eyes and clutches his Sword with both hands. His robe began to flow outwards, as if there was a wind coming from inside the cloak itself. In an instant, he disappeared into a bolt of lightning. In an instant, the dragon lashes back in pain, and a cut appears on it's face.

"Hey Ugly!" A voice came from above the dragon. The dragon instantly stops and looks up, only to find Dune floating in a defense form high above him.

The dragon screamed in anger and began to fly up at Dune. Dune clapped his hands together and a complex purple ring wraps around him, with Kanji Like letters all over it. As the Dragon got closer, Dune pushed his arms out and the Characters spread out, then wrapped around the Dragon. They all formed together to create a Poison tag that floated round it. "Now to lure you to the ground, you giant lizard!" The fire from the dragons breath came towering up at Dune. Dune whips out his Guns, and shoots a fire shot, canceling the pillar of flame, then fires an ice shot at it's wings, freezing them in place.

Th dragon flew a little Higher from propulsion, then begins to plummet to the ground. "That shoul-" The Dragon regains his balance and breaks the ice off the wings. And crashes feet first into the ground, creating a large Dragon shaped crater. The dragon was now more furious then ever. "Crap, I was sure that would bind him till the end." Dune begins to fall himself, The dissapears in Lightning again, appearing on one of the jagged rocks going down the mountain. Now it is your turn Gerik...Good luck.

    >Sorry for such a long post.<

"Got you, you over grown lizard!" Kane roared with fury as he held his right hand high into the hair. "WINDS HEAR MY FURY!" He didn't have to actually say anything, aura worked more by thought than sound with the exception of the swords, but Kane felt it would sound cool. Instantly a vortex erupted from thin, ahaha, air. The dragon tried to lift its wings to take off again but the winds sliced its wing tips seven times each and the dragon had to brings its wings back down or let them be shreaded. This didn't seem to please it, and it sent a rather large fire ball at Kane.

With no time to dodge Kane could only do one thing. "Crap I suck at these," he growled as he brought his hands together then seperated them. Instantly the fire ball went out. This perplexed the dragon a little, and it tried again only to get the same result. Kane had managed to create a void and without air the flame was going out on contact. Of course the void wasn't particularly big but it was just enough to block the fire balls the dragon was pouring into it. "GERIK DO IT NOW! I CAN'T HOLD IT FOREVER!" Kane was dangerously close to his limits, and unless he went into his final form he wouldn't be able to hold the void open forever.

Gerik crouched down. He muttered something, and the ground directly shot out, giving Gerik a push to be above the dragon. He pulled both swords out of their sheaths as he was over the dragon. He began falling down, pointing the swords towards it. He threw one of his swords down at the dragon, like a dart. "Let's see how tough the dragon's scales are." The hilts of Gerik's swords had sand inside them. Using his magic, Gerik pushed the sword at a much faster rate than it would normally have gone with him throwing it. The sword pierced the dragon's flesh. Gerik then held his remaining sword with both hands as he fell.

Gerik reached the dragon, his momentum only stopping when his sword's handle was touching the dragon's scales. Gerik looked up to see the dragon turn its head to look at him. The dragon shot a river of flames at him. Gerik jumped up, pulling both swords out of the dragon. He landed on the dragon's head. Before the dragon could try to shake him off, Gerik thrust both swords into the dragon's head.

The Dragon flailed around spitting fire into many different directions, till it finally collapsed. All muscles in it's body fail and it just drops into the dirt, creating a huge cloud of dust around it. The dust remained for a few seconds, till it was blown away by the wind, with the giant dead lizard still dead where it lay.

"...Well that was easier than expected..." Dune said, till shortly after thinking Crap, I hope I didn't just Jhinx us.

Mokona hopes over to Dune, and lands on his shoulder.

    >I really don't know what else to say...hope it was fine that I ended it here...hm...<

    >NOW I SEND MORE DRAGONS THAN 9000 SO WE ALL GET BARBEQUED!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA... Just Kidding, Ya this world is getting to drawn out so we'll end this world with this last post then Des can take us to the next one.<

    "Ya. That was super easy."

Mokona jumped down from Dune's shoulders, and said, "Follow me =D." With that he runs up the mountain and disapears inside. "Wait here guys, I'll be right back." Kane tells everyone, then jumps into the air and warp steps up to the cave.

He walks inside expecting a treasure hoard, but in the end only finds a single round white rock. Mokona is grinning happily to himself as he picks it up. "Here, this is for you Kane. Maybe she can help you?"

Kane suddenly realizes what he is looking at. "A dragon egg. You want me to have a dragon egg? That's what this whole thing was about?"

"Dragons are very magical. They do best when they grow up around people, and they take on the color of those they are around most. This dragon is white, which means it doesn't know what color to be yet. Maybe you can help it though."

Kane wordlessly picks up the egg, and tucks it inside his coat pocket. "I'll do my best." They both return from the cave, and Kane resolves not to tell everyone about the egg until they reach the next world.

Suddenly several horns sound behind them and soon a bunch of horses are riding down the hill side into the valley. On them are several lords and their retainers. Even the two generals are there. "Hey guys," one the generals calls but Kane can't remember his name. "I see you met with success."

    "Ya you could say that."

"These are the lords of our land. They want you to decide right here who it should be."

Kane looks at all the lords, then finally sighs. "I don't think that a person who was willing to tear a whole country apart deserves that position. None of these are fit to rule."

The lords's mouths drop open. "WHAT!?"

    "BLASPHEMY!"

    "BUT THE PROPHECY!?"

"HEAR ME!" Kane roars above the screaming. Everyone instantly goes silent. "If you were all willing to wage a war that would tear this country apart simply so you could rule, then none of you are pure enough to take on that position. And no dragon slayer is gonna decide who is fit to rule. I'm just a fighter, killing is what I do. I wonder if any of you lords have ever wielded a sword with the intent to kill someone. None of you have that mark in your eyes that appears when you see someone die by your hand. So why not let the people decide out of the generals of all your lands. Let the people pick who has the right to rule."

Kane sighs, and feels that now would be a good time to get out of here while the getting was good.

    >Ok Des, take us out of here.<

"Oh the joys of choosing your leader." Gerik chuckled to himself. The magic circle appeared from underneath them. Mokona sprouted wings and opened his mouth, sucking up Gerik, Dune, and Kane. They left to the next world.

    ~World 3, Radiant City~

The group appeared in the middle of a city. It was probably a few hours after noon, but there was a thick blanket of fog, preventing anybody seeing where the sun was. The buildings disappeared into the fog, and it was hard to distinguish where one ended and the other began. The buildings had the same dull grey color as the fog. The buildings were made out of a combination of straw and cobblestone. There were electric lampposts on the sidewalk, acting as guides for the roads. The air outside was freezing, due to a combination of rain and wind. The group couldn't see it, but the entire city was one massive circle, divided into ten layers. They were in the sixth layer away from the innermost layer.

Gerik looked around at the buildings he could see. One building, across the street, had a wooden sign hanging near the entrance. It read 'Breg Medio Tavern.' "Hey, there's a tavern right over there. Let's head over there to get out of the rain." Gerik suggested, heading towards the tavern.

Inside was a bit brighter than outside. There were some lights turned on, enough to illuminate the entire room. Nobody seemed to notice the newcomers. There was a group playing cards in one area. Another group was huddled together, talking about something.

    >I was originally going for a more futuristic kind of thing, but I couldn't think of anything good. So this is more modern, but older. I keep on thinking something like 18th century London for some reason. As as for the layers thing, picture it like Minas Tirith.<

Follows Gerik into the tavern, hiding Mokona in his arms under his coat trying to keep from raising suspicions. Dune looks around the tavern a while and say "Just from looking, it doesn't seem like a dangerous place. Kind of a conforting place."

"Mokona like it!" Mokona said as he poked his head out of Dune's arm.

"Quiet down Mokona. You need to stay descrete till we find out more about these people. We don't know if this is normal or not for them." Dune thought for a second then said "Hmmm...I guess that really wouldn't be all that normal anywhere would it." Dune Shruggs it off.

Kane had never banished his sword, so he pulled out his cleaning kit and went to cleaning his sword while eyeing the crowd. "Seems pretty interesting to me. But Dune we are wearing clothes from a different land so we stand out anyways."

The tavern looked pretty busy (I can change it if you like des) and already Kane was getting some odd looks. "Hi there," Kane said with a smile. "Don't mind me, just doing some maintenance on my gear." He emphasized this by raising his sword a bit, then resumed cleaning.

Gerik grabbed three mugs and sat down at a table. Behind him was the group that were quietly talking.

"What were you saying happened Dave yesterday?" One of the men quietly asked.

"That guy he got into a fight with. He was saying something about traveling around. There was a woman with him. Something seemed off about her though. Like he was holding her hostage."

    "Did anybody say her name?"

"The stranger did. But only once. He said something like 'Stay put Kana.' Or was her name Karen? I don't know."

"Was there anything distinguishable about the guy?"

"Dave was sayin' that the closer he got, the wierder he felt. This guy seemed to thrive off of fighting. It's a miracle Dave even survived."

Gerik wasn't sure if Dune or Kane could hear the conversation. They were whispering and Dune and Kane were on the opposite side of the table. Gerik himself could barely hear the conversation. He was trying as hard as he could to listen without appearing like he was eavesdropping.

Dune is completely oblivious to what Gerik is doing as he is looking at the drink inside the mug, and then pushes it away. "Meh, I'm not much of a drinker. Mostly just Sake for me."

Mokona rustles around and then jumps out of Dune's arm, and sits on the table grbbing the Mug. "Mokona will drink it!" puts the mug to his lips and chuggs the liquid inside. He kept going and going, till he finally finished it, in one sitting. "Ah! That's good!"

    "...You amaze me Mokona"

Suddenly three women come over and start crowding around Mokona. They started saying how cute he was and mokona just lapped up the attention. Dune starts laughing as he is watching these girls. "I guess I was wrong, this really isn't that odd here." Looks at Kane. "Oh by the way, great speech in the last world. I don't know why, but you really don't strike me as the type."

Kane was able to listen in on what Gerik was hearing. If a bystander possessed the sight that allowed them to see aura they would comment on the white halo around Kanes ears. He was straining very hard, but he didn't mention. Part of this game would rely on secrecy in a big way. So the game begins huh? Even if I do manage to get kana back I still have to get her to my world again. That could be a problem. Seems that Mokona operates at random and there is no steering him.

Kane tried again to remember her being captured but the memory was locked up good. He could remember the fight against Darmeth, a S Class threat against the AMS. Darmeth relied on water techniques that astounished Kane to no end. Also it turned out that Darmeth had a very wicked final release. Darmeth. You're a dead man when I see you again. Count on it.

The lights in the tavern dimmed. Everybody's attention turned to a stage off in a corner of the room. A woman walked up towards a microphone. Soft music started playing as the woman started singing a song. As she sang, people started talking again, quietly though.

Gerik turned to the women who were admiring Mokona. "So ladies, my friends and I are new here. Would you be able to tell us anything interesting about this place?"

One of the women answered Gerik. "Well right now we're in the 6th circle. The lower numbered circle represents proximity to the center of the city and a higher layer than the higher numbered circle. The 1st circle, what we usually call the inner circle, is closed off from dusk till dawn. The marketplace and inns are all in the 5th circle."

"But." One of the other ladies interrupted. "If you're looking for anything unusual, you want to go to the 9th circle. That's where all the investigators are. If there is any information you require, that place is your best bet."

"Interesting." Gerik muttered. "And why is it the inner circle closes down every night?"

"That's when all the government buisness is finished for the day. The entire circle is closed down and nobody enters."

"I wonder what secrets they hide there then." Gerik thought. He then smiled to the women. "Thank you very much ladies."

Kane couldn't sit still anymore. "Excuse me guys. I need some alone time." With that Kane stood and left the tavern, then jumped up onto the taverns roof. He say down with his legs crossed, his sword resting on his knees, then closed his eyes in preperation for meditation.

"That won't be necessary," a voice said from behind him. However this voice was very strange. It sounded like two voices speaking at once, one male, and one female. Two figures materialized out of thin air. The first was male and wore a block robe, and the other was female and wore a white one. Both had blonde hair, and they both had blue eyes.

"Was just about to call for you."

"We sense the sword Shin Rio Dikenu in this world."

"Good. I wanted to make sure it was who I thought it was," Kane said in satisfaction as he stood.

"However that could mean many things. We are the essences of the people we belong to, and no matter what existence that man leads Shin Rio Dikenu is still his inner essence."

"So he could be the wrong one then."

    "Yes."

Kane looked out over the city. "I have a feeling that he is the right one. I could almost feel Kana's presence the second we appeared here. If only I knew how he was traveling dimensions."

"Kane, no matter what we stand ready to assist you."

Kane smiled as he looked at the two. "I know, Rai Den."

    >Note no one can see these two but Kane. Also no one can hear them so it looks like he is talking to himself.<

Dune puts his elbow over the head of the chair following Kane. "Ok, just don't go getting lost. don't want to accidentally leave you in this world." Dune Chuckles a bit then turns back to Mokona, who is already in Kanes seat with the girls all around him. "You are just a little player aren't you Mokona?"

"Mokona's got the skills" The girls started laughing and talking to him even more, with mokona still enjoying every second of it. He would drink and talk, and laugh. It wasn't until he fell on his back in the chair, that the girls started leaving. They had to be somewhere in a bit of a rush leaving Mokona unconscious and happy.

"That reminds me."He turns his view towards Gerik. "Weren't we supposed to find something in the last world we went to? I don't remember if we got it or not. Or what is is for that matter. Mokona could probably tell use...but I think he has had one too many. What do you think Gerik?"

"Kane has whatever it is." Gerik answered, drinking from the mug. He motioned his head towards Mokona. "Mokona led Kane to it. Whatever it is was in that cave. I'm not gonna worry about it too much though. I'm sure Kane will tell us what it is when the time comes it is needed." Gerik just realized a mistake he made when speaking. "That's right. The cave was too high up for Dune to see. I only saw it because of my Eye of Horus spell. And none of them know about it yet. But hey, most of the dragons I've encountered lived in caves. That'll be my excuse if Dune questions me about it." Gerik leaned his head back, looking directly at the ceiling. Nobody could see his face unless they looked at him from above. He activated his eye spell again. "Hmm... Is that Kane up there?" While not true X-Ray vision, Gerik could see people's auras through walls if they were close enough. "I can't tell. Is he talking to somebody up there? It looks like his aura is swirling together with another aura or two very close to him." Gerik closed his eyes, deactivating the spell. "Well then, once Kane gets back we can begin looking around through town."

    >I guess this will be the new cycle. Sorry =\<

Kane huffed to himself as the rain kept falling. "I better go inside. I take it you got my back in this whole thing?"

    "Was there ever any doubt?"

Kane just laughed and jumped from the roof. He went back inside to see Mokona's fan club gone, and the object of attention himself fast asleep in a drunken stupor. As Kane approached he pointed at Mokona. "No more beer/sake/alcoholic beverages for him." Kane picked him up, and plopped him down on the table. "So I sensed someone quite nasty here. I guess I should fill you all in." At least halfway.

"A few weeks ago in my world I was attacked by another person like me. His name is Darmeth, and we both turned out to be pretty evenly matched. After it was clear neither of us could be sure of victory he grabbed my betrothed, Kana, and jumped to a different dimension to escape me. I thought her dead for a time until someone told me otherwise, then sent me to Yuko. The rest is history.

"Darmeth is incredibly powerful, and like me he has the final form state. It is a near god like form that our swords can assume when our aura's and spirits are in perfect harmony. If he uses it the form can multiply his power by seven times. I didn't get much of a chance to see it in our last fight, the battle didn't go long enough, but his case file does conclude him to be an S class threat in our world. That would be the highest. He uses water type abilities, and he is once again, very dangerous. When we fight him I want to do it alone. It's personal." And this time no fooling around. I'll go straight to final form to kill him.

"Well, I'll help you to the best of my abilities. At the moment...I don't even know if I want to return..."
Fern is dead, and I'm sure the villiage would follow right after under me. He told me to come here and learn how to become a better leader... He finishes thinking to himself, when he remembers Gerik. "Oh, and of course I'm going to help you as well Gerik. by the way, what are you out here for again?"

Mokona fidgets around a bit and then rolls over and lets out a big sigh of happyness and content as he continues to sleep.

Dune puts his arm down from the table onto the chairs arm rest's, waiting for a responce.

"I thought I was the one offering help." Gerik spoke, sitting up. "I'm just feeling homesick, that's all." Gerik then thought about Kane's enemy. "God mode huh? I wonder who's is stronger." Gerik finished his sentence in his mind. "His or mine." He stood up. "Well then, shall we take a look around town? Maybe we could find out something interesting in that 9th circle those girls were talking about." "And I'm guessing Kane's aware that his enemy is probably here. I don't see any other reason for him to bring up that guy, not after hearing what I heard from those guys at that other table." "And water abilities." Gerik spoke about Kane's enemy again. "I know a guy who is pretty powerful in water magics. Pity we aren't near him. I'm sure he'd be a great asset if we fought Darmeth or whoever."

"I guess I don't mind you guys helping me find him but when we do I want him all to myself. If I die then well..." Kane looked down at the table. "You guys get second crack at him." He looked back up at his companions. "I need to talk to someone, hope you all don't mind." He yanks his necklace out from under his shirt and grabs the pendant. "Now how does this JESUS CHIRST!" A light shot out of the pendant and into the table. Then the smiling face of Zackarias appeared. "Howdy. What can I do for you?"
Kane looked at Zack. "Uhh, you didn't warn me how sudden it would be to call you."

"Time is relative. It took me a whole two minutes to respond on my end. Anyways what do you need?" Zack looks around the room. "Oh cool. I've been here before. I can't remember the name, no wait don't tell me." Zack put a finger to his lip in thought. "Oh yeah. The name is.... I don't remember."

    "ZACK!" Kane roared.

"Oh what did you need again?" Zack asked in his usual cheery way.

    "I need Darmeths case file."

"Oh that's it? Why didn't you ask. Here you go." A folder suddenly appears on the table. "Happy?"
    "
    "Yes. Good bye."

"No wait, how have..." but Zack was cut off as Kane ended the connection. "That guy is way to annoying. So now we have a case file, so we all know everything that all the agents knew of him as they fought him."
