The Way To Dusk

Jasmine wasn't sure what to do but she promised to stay out of the conversation and she wasn't about to break a promise. She sighed irritably and looked at Jalden, "How long do you think they will be in there?" she asked suddenly.

This is only going to happen once but I think she could help. Besides, she was one of the last people to see Voltiar. We'll say this is about a week after the end of The New Organization.)

Someone spoke from the top of the staircase behind Semnax, "Maybe I could lend a hand." said a voice that sounded almost exactly like Jasmine's only darker in a way. "Voltiar did show me and Kat a few things before he took off."

 

Jaxx nodded, there was a lifeless look to her expression that hadn't been there since about twenty years earlier. "Yes lets all get chocked up about it." she said sarcasticly as she walked down the stairs toward Semnax and Gerik. "It's been a long time, Semnax. How've you been?"

 

Jaxx avoided Semnax's question by answering Gerik's. It was easier to think about Voltiar than about the rest of her past anyway, "Last time I saw Voltiar he was at The World That Never Was..." she was interrupted by annother voice as a different girl walked up next to Jaxx.

"He said something about Kingdom Hearts... I don't know quite what he was planning to do but he promised me it wasn't evil."

Jaxx looked at the other girl, "Kat I thought I told you to stay put."

The other girl just smirked, "And let you have all the fun? Yeah right."

 

Jaxx caught Semnax's hand just as it moved for him to hit her. Just because she looked worn out didn't mean her reflexes were any slower. If anything she seemed faster. She looked at Semnax, for a moment and then looked away again. Why did he have to keep saying that name? Every time he did it was like he stabbed a red hot knife through her heart. "Technically he hated you." she said quietly.

Kat shrugged, "I'm not sure..."

 

Jaxx shook her head, "Oh quit being so dramatic Semnax. When I last saw Hunter he had his usual grin on his face. In fact he's a little PO'd that I came here to see you. He's still got that jealousy issue."
Technically none of what she was saying was a lie. No matter where Hunter was she was sure he didn't like her going off to see Semnax of all people.

Kat smiled, "Yes maybe you will... but we may not ever run into him together you see..." she pointed at Jaxx, "I go wherever she goes. It's a long complicated story but she doesn't plan on being here for more then maybe an hour. We have an important misson ahead."
