The Takeover!

“What was that?!” Hazel said aloud. She was not far from where the others were, in hearing range if anything were to happen. More thugs?! Where are they coming from, how many are there. She went towards a rather large tree and pressed her ear against the bark. She could hear it, the charging of many men not too far away.

“One, two, three, twenty.. twenty-five,” she said as she tried to follow the vibrations being absorbed by the tree. There’s too many of them, I can’t count a specific number. She firmly gripped her sword then decided to quickly head back. If there was going to be a fight she did not want to miss it.

 

Fly emerged from her room soon after hearing Xan leave.

"He need's my service." She said, lifting a blue bottle up and tyeing it to her shuriken. She defeated death, but at the loss of another soul. The monk who helped her. She jumped onto the wall and threw her shuriken. On impact with the enemy blue thunder spread like wildfire killing all the bandit's surrounding Xan.

Pulling the blade from her shoe she threw it at Xan, then jumping off the wall and charging towards the Bandit leader and his two henchmen.

 

Fly saw a man rushing toward's her. He carried a massive buster sword that looked like an alligator's head. Seeing his brooding weapon she realized she was unarmed.

"Shit!" She announced as he swung his sword in a roundhouse motion at her. Using as a launch dock she kicked off it, kicking down with her heel on the man's head.

The man began to fall, but used his new position as a chance to attack. With one knee on the ground he cut a crescent scar into the lush green earth. Sending dirt into Fly's eye's.

"Foul move!" She said. "So be it". He was playing dirty, so must she. She down a sliding attack kicking the shin he was supporting his weight on from under him. As he was falling she put her foot up, so his bit's crunched agains't it with the man's full body weight.

She stood up and looked down at the man, "You would've won undoubtably if it weren't for your foul play." She raised his sword above her own head and decapitated the man.

 

Nicole ran out and hopped on the horse she was riding when first arriving she ran forward and hopped the gate and drew her sword. She hung low for a second picking up a dead thug's sword and ran to Fly.

"Fly!" Nicole yelled slightly tosing the sword to where Fly could get it as it landed sticking out of the ground, she rode over to another man and pulled out an arrow of a dead thug and threw it at him landing in his shhoulder, yet he wasn't dead.

 

Hazel jumped out of the trees and approached the gate. Charging at it she dug her sword into the ground enabling her to do a back flip over it.

“Sword still intact,” She said smiling while she looked at her hand. Hazel landed on the ground, she softened the landing by using her red cloak. It was always a handy part of her outfit. Raising one eyebrow she thought to herself. These guys are like ants, you kill one and a whole swarm come at you.

However it appeared that Fly and Nicole could handle things, maybe she wasn’t needed after all.

 

Nixer went to pick up some arrows in the the corpes. After he picked most of his arrows, he quicky equip them and took his bow for more confrontation, but he needed to make sure if he was needed.

Nixer ran to Hazel and asked: "Hazel, are we needed in this battle? I can see there is only 1 and Xan.

 

“Do I you see fit,” Hazel replied. Then walked off towards where the monks were. If they needed her she would be ready. But she honoured one on one battles. This was Xan’s fight, not hers.
She slid her katana back where it belonged. She felt there was no reason to use it for now.

 

Xan does like taking all the action I see. Hazel said to herself. She sighed then within a flash she was by Xan’s side. He had still not fully recovered from his first encounter back in the woods, it was risky to go up against Sachiko.

“You need to rest,” she nimbly mentioned. She looked around the settlement to see if anyone else was injured. Hmmph, I see Fly is all better. From the corner of her eye she could see the girl, Hazel didn’t like Fly’s new look, but then again she didn’t like her old look either. Maybe she just didn’t like Fly all together.

Helping Xan, Hazel brought him back to the settlement to recover.
"The monks will look after you," she said then left the room.

 

Nicole had finished up her enemy and softly stroked her horse which had blood splattered on and on it's hooves. She looked back up to the sttlement and began to ride the horse up there. She went into the barn and began to brush the horse and took a moist towel and began wiping away the blood soon revealing the beautiful brown stallion being fine. She headed inside and began to look around for Fly, now she would go and yell at her.

 

The fight was over, Xan was recovering. As for the others, Hazel couldn’t care less. She went outside to find her horse. Approaching the beautiful stallion she finally decided to give it a name.

“Hey.”She whispered softly in the horse’s ear. “I’ve decided what I’ll call you.” She said as she mounted the horse preparing a little ride along the landscape.

“Nightmare.” Hazel said as she stroked the horse.

“Maybe Night for short.” She smiled as she saw the horse neigh. Reaching for her pocket she took out a carrot she had earlier got off a monk.

“You deserve it,” she said as she fed Night. Soon after Hazel began riding across the terrain. Keeping within a 1 mile radius of the settlement.

 

Fly was playing with her sword. It was much larger than her, almost 7 foot long. But after a bit of practicing she got the hang of it. It was slower than she would have liked but it could chop down a tree with hardly any effort. And with attack's she put effort into she could take out up to 20 tree's, just with the blow back, the tree she actually hit would shatter into bite size piece's.

"I could get used to this!" She said attempting to lift it overhead with one hand.

 

After a while of Nicole walking around, she soon found Fly.

"Fly!" Nicole called to her. "We need to talk, now." Nicole said to her.

 

Fly turned around and look up at Nicole on her horse.

"Wow a horse, that's pretty neat." She said sarcasticly turning back around and swinging her sword around abit more. She combined Gymnastic's in with her attack's making them look very neat and become very effective.

 

Nicole rolled her eyes.

"Listen here, Fly, where did you run off to when we were leaving, huh? To get some stupid cloths!?" Nicole exclaimed in anger. She glared at Fly right in the eye for running off. She stroked the horse and looked at Fly still waiting for her answer.

 

"Why shouldn't i have run off? Its not like i knew any of this would happen? And did i not return and save the day AND reveal a traitor? So don't get all high and mighty. Because without me Xan would be dead and possibly the rest of you killed off by Ikito." Fly was kind of annoyed at Nicole's accusations.

 

"Yeah, well if you didn't run off, we could have had extra helped and Sinclair wouldn't be dead, Xan might not have been injured. Plus we could have assured the monks their safety, and they wouldn't have lost some of their own people." Nicole told Fly making sure she was listening. She hopped back on her horse.

"Besides, you don't need new cloths, either way, they're both kind of ugly, plus whats with putting your hair up like that it's looks odd." Nicole told her.

 

Hazel had decided to end her little horse riding short. Hmm, I wonder if Xan is doing better. Or the others, she then began to think of Fly and Nicole.

“Strange match up.” She said aloud to Night. The horse neighed, this made Hazel laugh.

“So you agree,” she chuckled. Night cantered then quickly began galloping back towards the settlement. The horse was a fast stallion and didn’t waste any time. This made Hazel smile, she was in a good mood.
Once she reached the settlement she quickly got off her horse and went to see Xan.
