The Night We Danced [Private RP] Rated M

A question had now surfaced in Arabelle's mind. She was naturally a curious person, but being shy had often interfered with that. She couldn't let being timid hold her back as much anymore; This question was burning up inside her and she just had to ask. It probably had been floating on the back of her mind all day, but the topic was brought up once again which made it an opportune moment.

"How do you know that you love me ? We've only been talking for a few hours. How could you possibly know what I'm like ?" Arabelle hushed after this before inserting, "And I don't know if I'll be able to stay over tonight. My parents will worry about me."

 

Holding the phone in her hand, Arabelle decided that she might as well call her parents and tell them that she's staying at a friends house. She was sort of curious and was wondering how today would turn out if she were to stay at Sho's house and let's face it, if she went home she wouldn't ever know. You only live once, right ? Arabelle would have to make up a decent lie though, her parents would be furious if they knew that she was with a boy.

She quickly dialed her number, put the receiver to her ear and fought back nerves as the phone rang.

"Oh hey mom ! I'm at... Raven's house. You know, Raven from my Calculus class. Listen, I'm going to be staying over at her place tonight... I know I don't do sleep overs often... Mom I'll be fine... Why do you have to get all spazy with me ?... Well, mom it's the truth... Look, I'll be back tomorrow, I promise... Yes, all right. Bye."

Arabelle hung up the phone with a sigh of relief. Her mother was probably the most terrifying person to ever exist, but atleast she was all right with her staying at "Raven's" place. This was probably the only time that she actually lied to her parents...

 

"Yeah, thanks for buying it for me. I had been looking forward to getting it for a while." She said gratefully. Arabelle wondered if she should tell Sho that she had lied to her parents about her whereabouts. It's not like he would know the difference if she hadn't mentioned it, but it's always better to start on a more truthful note. She propped herself on her elbow to face Sho and said,

"Honestly, I told my parents that I was staying at some girls house for the night. They would have killed me if they knew I was here." She giggled before continuing, "It's not that my parents wouldn't have like you, it's just that you're a boy." Arabelle smirked before laying back down in the bed.

 

"What was that ?" Arabelle was shocked by that comment. Did she hear him properly ? Surely she couldn't have, I mean, how can he not be a boy or a girl ? Last time she checked, there weren't many "it's" in the world or any for that matter. Unless if he's an alien or a science experiment gone wrong, she thought. Arabelle laughed at the thought of that; She was quite ridiculous at times.

"Beg pardon. I don't think I heard you right Sho. What did you say ?"

 

Talk about being perplexed, Arabelle had no clue on how to process this information ! She hadn't heard anything like this before, read anything of the sort, and was just in utter awe. This reminded her a bit of a science fiction novel, except on a whole new level. She knew that it would take her some time to wrap her mind around this, but she noticed that Sho was crying half to death. Atleast she knew how to deal with this part.

Arabelle got up, move towards Sho, and gave him a nice warm hug. She tried to calm him down by gently stroking his hair,

"You know, you haven't given me any reason to hate or leave you."

 

"Woah ! What just happened ?" Today was becoming more strange than Arabelle could have ever imagined. Sho actually looked like an overgrown feline... How cutely weird. She wasn't entirely sure if he could talk in this state (as a matter of fact, she wasn't even convinced that she was really awake), but she decided that she might as well pet this beastly creature (?) How on Earth could he have hidden something like this for so long ?

"Sho, you look quite adorable."

After today, nothing will honestly be able to shock Arabelle again. The world would be out of balance if there was some greater secret, wouldn't it ?

 

"Awh, who's a cutie pie !" Arabelle said as she continued to run her fingers through his fur. He seemed like such a sweet heart when he was a beast, how could he have possibly killed anyone ? Some things are difficult to add up, even for math lovers such as herself, and this was one of those instances. There was always a logical explanation for everything, even for something so improbable as this, but she had a feeling that she knew the answer.

As she pet him, Arabelle wondered how long he could stay in this form. It wasn't like he was a werewolf and could only transform on a full moon, there had to be something that triggers it...

Events like this made her want to know even more about Sho.

 

"Awwwwhhh~" Arabelle grabbed Sho and squeezed him tightly as a child does with their favourite stuff toys. She couldn't help herself, it was the cat she had always wanted. She nestled her face against his fur and felt a little giddy inside as she continued to hold him.

However, today had been a long one and it was starting to show some wear and tear on Arabelle. She was exhausted and could use some sleep. Since everything had settled down a bit, she decided to take this opportunity to go to bed for a while. She leaned into Sho and quietly whispered,

"I'm going to bed now hun."

 

Arabelle was shaking all over and it wasn't from being cold, she was in the midst of a nightmare. She didn't often experience those, but whenever she did have one, it shook her very core.

Arabelle was running, she wasn't entirely sure from what, she just knew that she had to get away. It seemed as though there was an ever prominent shadow chasing after her and gaining ground every second. Soon it would catch up to her and every moment was leading to more and more suspense. Eventually it got to the point where Arabelle could hear the footsteps right behind her and then BAM. Game over; She was gone.

She awoke with a shrill scream. The entire package was present as well, cold sweat and short of breath. Arabelle needed a few moments to calm herself down.

 

"You're a doll, but I don't think I'll be able to go back to bed Sho." Arabelle confessed. There was something so lifelike about that dream; It was best if she just stayed up until she was able to shake it off.

Arabelle sat up, brushed Sho's fur and rubbed at her eyes in order to wake herself up. In the middle of all of this, she noticed that her stomach was starting to growl. Arabelle was hungry; Yesterday had been such a crazy day that she probably didn't even notice.

"Sho, I'm actually going to go get something to eat." With that, she got up out of the bed, ran her fingers through her hair and then kissed the catlike creature's forehead. She was almost at the point where she was willing to raid the nearest cupboard.
