The New Organization

Kat and Voltiar walked throught the portal to a large and brightly lit room. Kat looked around, it appeared to be empty but she doubted it. Deciding to follow the basic routine she always did when she got back, she smirked like nothing was wrong and called into the empty room, "I'm home! Miss me?!"

Some people appeared in front of them all of them were also using the portals that were not created by darkness. "Hey there, Kat. Welcome back, you broke cerfiew." one of them said.

Kat shrugged, "Well, you know I'm not a big fan of following rules."

A few people snickered and the same guy spoke again, "Who is your friend." he asked, nodding his head in Voltiar's direction.

Kat cursed herself in her mind as she realized she hadn't come up with a fake name for Voltiar. Too many people would recognise his real name. Without hesitation, she said the first name that came to her mind, "This is Ian." she made a face and said someting to the guy about how Tom was clueless about the organization. "He's a friend of mine and he's a little lost. He's going to chill out here with me until he knows where to go next."

A few people nodded and the leader of the group they were talking to laughed a little, "Fine by me, just don't let him get into any trouble. Any harm he comes by while he is here isn't our responcibilty." he looked at Tom, "No offence, Ian. Just protocall."

 

The guy smiled, "Then we should get along just fine. Nice to meet you, my name's Demion." he held out his hand to shake Voltiar's.

 

*Ya, sorry about that. My computer is a little stupid tonight. I deleted them though.*

Demion smiled and nodded then he looked at Kat "Your employer wants to have a word with you later tonight." he said casually.

Kat nodded, "I'll see if I can find time to go see him." she said sarcasticly.

The others left. Kat looked at Voltiar, "I don't think the are listening to us but it would be better to talk telepathicly when speaking to me as 'Voltiar'." she said telepathicly to him.

 

Kat thought for a moment and then held out her hand. In a flash of light, another glass sphere appeared in her hand. She handed it to Voltiar, "This is like a keyspere. Basicly a skeliton key and a map to this castle. You think of a question about this place and it usually knows where you want to go. I don't really know what you're looking for but I owe your friend that I shot so I'm going to get something for her that I think that she'll find really useful. Meet me back here in an hour. If anyone asks you who you are or what you are doing here, tell them you are here with me and I sent you to get a keysphere for me because mine broke."

 

Kat nodded and then walked into a door not that far away from where she was standing. She had to use her keyspere to get the door to open. When she stepped into the room, the door dissapeared and she was standing directly in the middle of a large library. "Ok... nobody heart...." she started walking down the isles, not exactly sure wether to look under 'N' or 'H'.

 

Kat finally found the file she was looking for. She pulled it out and read the title 'Nobody Heart'. She opened it up and looked through it, there were pictures and fingerprints. But most of it was stories an notes. The last one was the one that caught her attentoin. The man who it was Kat's job it kill, Blake. She read it over, Blake was a nobody but he had a dark secret. He knows how to give nobodies back their hearts. It was Kat's job to capture him and bring him back to her employers. But the problem she faced was that he was Hunter's best friend, and that she had to make sure his friends thought he was dead. Just the thought of refusing the mission made her dizzy but she had an idea. If she were to just leave this file where Hunter, Jaxx, or Page could find it then... but then again what would they think once they knew that he knew the answer to what they had been looking for all along?
Kat shook her head and stashed the file in her bag. She would show Voltiar, he wasn't a nobody so it would be different with him.

 

(lol I know she's being a little dramatic and emo right now but who wouldn't be a little discouraged at this point?)
Jaxx wasn't sure what to do anymore. Everything was getting so complicated and hopeless. She was starting to wonder if she and the others could ever really be truly happy. She and Hunter both didn't say anything as she helped him to his room. She kissed him once softly and then left. She went into her own room and closed the door behind her. She just stood there silently for a moment, her room was perfectly in order as usual. Her hands balled into fists, her hand was resting on a large blue book on her desk. She suddenly picked it up and threw it across the room with a lot of force. It shattered the mirror over her dresser with a loud soud that could probably be heard in other rooms as it fell all over the floor. Jaxx ignored it as she walked over to her bed and lay there face down, half wanting to die because of how much of a failure she was becomming. She was beginning to think there was absolutely nothing she could do at all. She and her friends would live forever tourmented by the fact that they would never be whole. She would never know what it felt like to truly be in love and neither would Hunter. She knew from the beginning that all of her emotions were cheap immitations of human emotion. She stopped thinking about the future, for once, she didn't want to figure out what was going to happen next because she was sure now that it would never change. No matter how many enemies they killed or how many hours she studied it, things were never going to get better.

Kat wasn't sure what to do while she waited for Voltiar to be done with whatever it was he needed to do. To be honest, she knew who she needed to show the file to, Blake's best friend. She laughed at the irony of it. The one she absolutely needed to talk to was Hunter and he was the last person on earth who would trust her. She sighed, "Ok... here goes nothing." Kat made sure Hunter was alone before she used a light path to teleport to where he was. She watched as Jaxx left and walked into her own room, then she heard a crashing noise from Jaxx breaking the mirror. Kat whistled, she knew she startled Hunter even though he didn't jump. "And people say I have a temper problem... how much property does she break in a day?" she asked Hunter sarcasticly. Then she readied herself for the worst.

 

Kat just rolled her eyes, "Look, I really don't want to be here as much as you don't want me here. But unless you want all of your friends to die, I would suggest you grow up a little." she said with sudden coldness. "And for real, get over yourself. I'm not here about you. We havent seen eachother for years and I don't know you enough to hate you." She put the file that she had taken from the library in her organization's castle in Hunter's hand. "You might not like what you read in this but it's the only way to save yourself and your friends. And don't ask why I'm helping you. I'm still trying to figure that one out myself." She left before he even had a chance to look at her. She was late, Voltiar would be expecting her to get him out of the assasin's castle in only a minaute or two.

 

Jaxx didn't respond to Page for a while. Why did she always have to show up when she wanted to be alone the most. "You're almost as bad as Hunter you know." she said irritably as she sat up. "I'm fine." seeing the expression on Page's face, she knew she wasn't going to leave her alone until she explained. "I just have a lot on my mind is all."

Kat walked into the main entrance to the castle and waited for Voltiar to show up.
