The New Dawn 5: Shadows Awaken

Anselm was a huge dusk nobody, with teeth shaped like a demon's. He was about to eat Kiba and Melody to make Siah suffer but a beam of light hit his large arm and he dropped them to the floor. It was Nicole. She casted fire on the cage and the metal came apart. She took Kiba and Melody out before Anselm could attack and teleported them to where Siah and the others are. Nicole smiled.
"You don't think I'll be left out of the action, do you?"
Harone smiled aswell and hugged his wife. Their children were being looked after by Kairi. Suddenly Sora appeared through a portal behind his daughter. Calder looked around the group and put out his hand.
"Let's do this together" he spoke.

 

"The wind is slowly dying. . ." Vale remarked, resting for a moment while he watched everybody else amass around the enormous creature.
"Vallie. . . He'll be alright, won't he?"
"That I do not know, Kalia. . ."

Symm lay on a bed in Disney Castle, breathing slowly. The healers had done all they could, but it was too far for him. He sat there, drifting out of conciousness, when a voice - No, a multitude of voices - as clear as day rang throughout his head: "Symm, wake up. There is but one more task awaiting for you."
His body glowed for a moment and his wounds healed, as well as an elaborate armor inlaid with the image of white lilies appearing. His scythe mended itself, and forced itself into his hands just a second before he fell through a portal of light. Symm appeared in the sky above the battlefield, the winds themselves supporting him. From a distance, he was unrecognizeable. The mercenary felt a power surging in his veins and a righteous fury fill his heart. . .

 

Melody looked at Anselm, with worry. She turned to Kiba.
"Kiba, I used to be bad but I've turned good. We must give Anselm a chance"

Dusk Anselm, swung it's arm towards the figure in the sky.

Calder looked at Siah. He kissed her on the lips and then let go after a few seconds.
"I'm sorry about what I've done. I was foolish. I thought it was best for you but I only made it-
"Now's not the time for this, Calder" Harone told him.
Calder nodded his head.
"Right"
Harone and Calder ran out. Nicole was right behind them. Melody danced with her baton and her clothes changed into a sparkling white dress and a white flower shown in her hair. She looked beautiful. Unicorns paraded around the girls.
"I hope they'll help"

Nicole smiled at Melody, as she got on her unicorn. It neighed, as it started to charge down towards the fight. One stopped by Siah.

 

Calder pecked Siah on the lips, briefly looked into her eyes and turned away, running out towards Sora and Harone. They stopped, looking at the great beast.
"What should we do?" Harone asked.
Calder stepped into the conversation.
"We need to destroy the darkness inside of Anselm. This is what's making him like this" Calder told them.
Harone looked confused.
"I thought Anselm himself was evil"
"Well perhaps he is but Raven just told me that Anselm himself isn't like this. I wasn't like this before I was evil, remember?"
Harone nodded.
"Right"
Sora smiled.
"You really have grown wiser since you were 12"
Calder smiled aswell but as he looked at Anselm, he frowned. Symm was distracting him at the moment.
"We have to get inside of him" Sora told the two young heroes. They both agreed with a nod and the trio, entered inside a gummi ship. They rose up and behind Anselm's back, Sora lifted the ship upto it's head.
"Calder, Harone, you have to enter his mouth. I'll help Symm fight off Anselm"
Calder walked upto the door, with his heart thumping. He pushed it open and saw Anselm's massive mouth. Calder closed his eyes and jumped through his mouth. It smelt like rotting apples. Harone was right behind him.

 

"Naturally." Voltair answered. "Just thinking of any precautions that might need to be made. I've gotten a little tired of fate. This time, when the fight's over, I wanna change fate. Have something new happen this victory. Not the same thing that happens to us each time." Voltair quickly caught up to Raven. "If we're lucky, we're not bounded by fate."

 

Melody looked towards Siah.
"I think we should go with Siah. Harone, Calder and Harone are strong enough to handle themselves. Also Anselm scares me. I feel safer with your sister"
She held his hand and walked upto Siah.
"We're coming with you"

Calder and Harone drifted down the creature's body. There was nothing but white other than the endless hole of darkness below them. They soared down.
"Hello, Calder" a voice rang out.
"Who's there!?"
The voice laughed and suddenly a snake like creature from the darkness entangled Calder with it's tongue and pulled him down into the darkness. Soon there was nothing but black.
"WHERE ARE YOU!?" he shouted, as he slashed the snake's tongue away. A scream pierced through his mind. He suddenly felt weiry.

A thorn grew out from the walls around Harone and flicked him away and out of it's mouth. He was starting to fly through the air but he landed on his feet, running away from the massive scale of Anselm's size. He was almost stomped but one of Melody's light unicorns were able to save him. The light warrior stroked it's head, of a sign of thanks.

Calder franticalluy looked around, hearing high pitched sounds. His vision was blurred. Something lashed his back but he was able to grab the attacker's hand. Calder turned towards him and saw a hooded creature with lazer red eyes. It did not have usual eyes. The whole of his face except for his eyes were shrouded in darkness.
"Who are you?"
"I am the darkness that has lurked throughout the worlds for centuries. I am the cause of the heartless and nobodies. Everything. It was not Ansem or Xehenort. They were only pawns in my plan"
"A plan for what?" Calder asked with slight fright.
"Destroying every single world, to create a new universe without a single speck of light. Kingdom Hearts is weak and now it is time to attack"
"Siah will stop you"
"The princess of light? Oh really!?"
His dirty skeletal hand reached Calder's throat.
"Everything that has happened is for a reason. Everything has led upto this event and now everyone will die"
"No...I won't let you!" he gasped, with lack of breath.
A burst of light shone from Calder's body, repelling the skeleton away. Calder took a deep breath and looked at his hands. They were brightening in the darkness. His whole body was in light. At that moment, Calder saw the darkness. He saw under his black coat, hints of a skeleton under it. Snakes were growing from within his skeletal body. A keyblade, as sharp as a metal saw and his other hand illuminated in fire. The red glow from his lazer eyes, were flaming. He was ferocious. Darkness enveloped around him and Calder had an angellic glow around him.
"Kingdom Hearts has given you power but it won't be enough"
"We'll see" Calder said with hate. Once he defeats the darkness, all the worlds will be safe from it forever. There will be no more pain or despair. Pictures of his Kiba, Melody, Sora, Raven ran through his head, along with Voltair and Symm. He had to fight for them. Then he thought about Siah and their relationship. He would marry her and then in the future have kids with her. They would have a happy life together. He remembered when he first asked her out to the dance by the waterfall, he remembered their accidental kiss on the gummi ship, when he tripped. He was going to fight for his friends and Siah. He was going to fight for his future. A building of energy flowed through Calder.
"I will defeat you so I can have a happy life with my friends and Siah"
4 keyblades, Oathkeeper, Star Seeker, Kingdom Key and Fenrir floated around him.
"I will fight for the people I love"
Calder dashed towards the darkness and pounded him with the four keyblades. It backed away as the light grew around him. The darkness was weakening but it still managed to appear behind him and lash him with his saw like keyblade. Calder shouted in pain but then stabbed the four keyblades into the skeleton. The snakes once again screamed.
"YOU KILLED MY SERVANTS!!!" he screamed, as the darkness thrusted his fiery hand towards Calder. The hero slashed it away. The darkness' skeleton then enraged into flames, burning Calder's chest. The light backed away, clutching his wound. The two opposites started to pant.

 

"I'd love to hurry. But in all honesty, I can't tell what our target is." Voltair said. "There's that giant version of Anselm. But you said that he himself isn't evil. And then Calder just got eaten by that giant Anselm. Why can't we have regular enemies? Ones that don't constantly switch on us?"

 

The temporarily resurrected Symm appeared by Calder in the darkness, his elaborate armor shining as he gripped his scythe tightly. He gave a light smile to the boy and remembered some of the memories they shared, and began to speak.

"Calder. . . I don't have a lot of time left in this world. The souls that saved me only have a bit of energy left to keep me alive. . . You think we can finish this dance quickly?" He asked, gazing at the menace that was in front of the two.

The darkness laughed.
"So the wannabe mercenary and the wannabe hero are here to defeat me. Interesting"
He thrusted his saw like keyblade towards Symm but Calder blocked the attack. A blast of fire was shot towards Calder but the hero stepped back and casted Reflect. Suddenly their surroundings changed and they were on the roof of the heartless castle in Radiant Gardens. It was very rickety and the roof could break at any moment. Symm summoned the wind around him and shot the tiles, that the darkness was standing on, up. The skeleton was in the sky and Symm struck it with his scythe. It was beaming white. The darkness staggered.
"Powerful...very powerful for the light"
As it was staggering, Calder shot a blast of Blizzaga at it, frrezing it to the spot. Calder, then pointed his keyblade towards his true enemy. A beam shined from out of it but the darkness escaped and rolled out of the way. He shot waves of dark energy towards Calder and Symm. Calder was by the edge of the roof and was holding onto the ledge.
"AH!"
Symm went to help him but the darkness kicked him away and slammed his keyblade down on the mercenary. It scarred his body. Calder's hands were stuck on the ledge. He could not pull himself up. The darkness put a spell on him.

 

Symm struggled for a moment under the dark being, and was unable to reach his scythe to strike back. Nut then, remembered about his last stitch kamas, and so he flung out his arm. The kama flew out of the sleeve and into his hand, unfolding the blade just a moment before he threw it at the dark being. He pulled out the other one and kept it folded, throwing it to Calder so he could use it like a climber would a pickaxe.\

"I am not light, nor darkness. I am not neutrality. I am balance. I am harmony." Symm chanted, his armor glowing.

 

Voltair snapped his fingers. The heartless exploded. The darkness swirled around and shot out in different directions. "No point in wasting energy. Much quicker to just eliminate them here and now. What now? Attack Anselm? Or do something else?"

More heartless came. They jumped. Their bodies were knocked back like they hit a wall or a force field. The heartless couldn't get close enough to attack, no matter how hard they tried.

 

Calder started to climb up the wall. The saw like keyblade in the skeleton's hand mutated and formed into a spear. In the speed of sound, it was thrown towards Symm's heart.

The attacker slashed again at Siah's back.
"This is when you will die. You will never see Calder again but perhaps, Calder would die along with you. He's facing darkness himself. He's suffering right now, under the overwhelming power of the darkness"
He hacked his blade at Siah's back again.
"You are next"
