The New Dawn 5: Shadows Awaken

Calder stood up with widened eyes.
"Raven?"
He ran up to her and looked at Raven's face. She looked tired.
"They used my body and turned it into darkness. I'm exiled here, until Brakdern is defeated. Brakdern is me"
Calder stopped and looked down.
"This is all my fault. Why did I join them? I did it for Siah so she wouldn't get hurt. The darkness was hurting us too much and I had enough. I thought it would solve our problems but it's only made it worse"

Melody beamed at Siah.
"I need you to hold my hand. You too Kiba! We can do this!"
As Melody took Siah and Kiba's hands, a white glow surrounded them. The nobodies repelled away from the three.
"I call the light from my heart and summon the great power within!" Melody exclaimed.
A herd of horses were charging behind the heroes. They were sparkling in light. Melody stroked a horse and jumped on. She took Kiba by the hand and slung him behind her.
"This is my power. This is what I was meant to do. Now you must do yours, Siah"

 

"I don't think you'll have to worry about that" Brakdern said behind her, with his blade raised. His face was the same as Calder's.
"Now Siah, I cannot allow you in there. My master is up to something very important. He's becoming King. I'm sorry Si but you cannot fight him" he said with the last line being from Calder's voice.

Calder could see Brakdern's thoughts. He felt a sharp pain throb through his mind. He heard screaming and saw images of Brakdern torturing Siah. He fell to his knees, hand on his head with squinting eyes.
"NO SIAH!!!"

 

Calder was sweating, as the pain grew immense. His ears felt as though they were about to burst because of Siah's screams. He couldn't hear what Raven was saying. Tears ran down his face.

Brakdern smiled and waved his hand to reveal a swirl of dark energy. The swirls formed to show how Calder was hurting. The picture then fading away.
"Calder will die soon. His emotions and memories are giving him too much pain. In that world, Cal is weak and always has been. Now Si, let that rage enthrill you"

 

Voltair slammed his keyblade into Brakdern, knocking him down. Brakdern hit the ground with so much force that cracks formed under him. "I'll supply the rage here. Siah has no use for it. Have I ever mentioned how much like a roach you are? No matter how many times we think you're dead, you just manage to come right back. I'll sever each and every connection you have to exsistance." Darkness formed all around Voltair's keyblade. He slammed it down on Brakdern, causing the ground to shatter underneath them. As Brakdern was falling down this newly formed hole, Voltair was continually slashing Brakdern, not giving him a moment's relief.

 

Brakdern shouted in pain but he was laughing as well.
"Voltair, you are so idiotic. You do know Calder will die, if you kill me? This is his body"
He let Voltair strike him but the pain caused him to grit his teeth.
"And I'm sure if I kill Rai, Raven will die too"
He screamed in laughter, which could shatter the eardrum because it was so shrill.

Symm mustered up most of the energy he could, breathing in. When he breathed out, he stretched his arms outward, palms facing forward with the fingertips pointed inward, to send an enormous surge of white energy out - decimating a huge chunk of the forces that faced him.

"Damnit. . . Guys, we may need some reinforcements. . . Got any ideas?" He called out, grabbing his scythe to defend against the next wave. But then he got to mumbling about something. "Or. . . waitaminute. . . Maybe if I call them on their dues. . ."

 

Brakdern smiled and his hand glint in darkness. The darkness rose up his body and he disappeared. He reappeared infront of Siah, scarred and bruised. His face was slashed by Voltair's keyblade. The face that was battered and scarred was both Calder's and Brakdern's. Brakdern could hear Calder's screams inside his mind. He enjoyed them.
"Your dear Calder is suffering now, Siah. Whatever you do to me, is what happens to Calder aswell.

Calder was breathing harshly, scarred and bruised with the horrible shouts of Siah throbbing through his mind. His heartbeat was racing and he shouted in anguish.
"RAVEN! IT'S BRAKDERN, HE'S DOING THIS TO ME!!!!"

 

Brakdern suddenly froze on the spot. Calder stood up on his feet, hand to his arm. Suddenly Calder crept down to his knees, with his eyes closed. He was trying to focus on getting control of Brakdern. He thought it was impossible.

Brakdern ran upto her and slashed Siah's face with his keyblade and pushed her down to the ground. A gash was across her cheek, the nose and to the other cheek. Brakdern held his keyblade down to her neck.
"Calder cannot control me. He's feeble"

Calder was trying to focus. Light arose around his body. He opened his eyes and they brightened.
"Raven, get away from here. Run away as fast as you can"
He saw Siah lying down by Brakdern's control. He was about to kill her.
"NO!!!"
Calder burst with light and suddenly Brakdern appeared next to him and away from Siah.

Brakdern looked at Calder furociously.
"How dare you"

Calder summoned his keyblade.
"We must finish this"

Brakdern smiled.
"Yes, we must"

 

Voltair got to Siah. "Calder's fate is up to himself now. Let's go. We've got another to get rid of." He turned to Anselm. "We'll end this. No matter what happens. The fighting will cease."

 

Symm was busy avoiding an attack when fire rained down from the sky in the area around him. As it happened, Symm turned and smirked, smiling at his old team arrived. " 'Bout damn time you guys arrived, Vale! I sent out the call two minutes ago!"

The man wearing a red robe with a peculiar staff that Symm had addressed was rolling his eyes. "You do realize that all of us were in different parts of the universe, right?" He had only just finished before a tall woman with wolf ears and a purple scarf asked the mercenary, "The situation appears dire. Enemy total is unestimable. You always knew how to challenge us. . ." A child wearing red and white threw a bottle of Mega-Elixir to Symm before cheering, "Well, cleanup time! You have friends that need help right? Vallie, Ayrie, and I will take care of these baddies!"

Symm nodded to his old crew before dashing off to Siah and Voltair. The moment he arrived, he used the Mega-Elixir on the group. "I got some reinforcements, so the army problem is taken care of. Now, I believe we have a psycho to beat down?"

 

Anselm bowed down to Kingdom Hearts.
"Kingdom Hearts, give me the ultimate power. The darkness must be supreme for stability. The light has caused disputes in all worlds, not obeying to their masters. We must now gain an upperhand on them"
Anselm darkened. His skin turned as black as coal and his eyes were sharply blood red. They looked like they were a hawks. He could see from farther away. 5 keyblades hung above his head, hovering like sparrowhawks. His robe was torn and his nails became dagger sharp. His tongue became forked and a glow of black surrounded him. He saw Symm, Harone, Siah and Voltair by the doors. Dark wind was formed from the darkness around them, which formed behind the four and pushed them inside.
"You will now know the power of darkness" he told them with his voice deepened and echoing around. Daggers with a blade of black, formed in masses; masses of ten thousand. They gathered like a flock of wasps and thrusted towards the people of light.

Kiba and Melody were outside by themselves. There were still thousands of nobodies crawling around the area. Melody looked at Kiba with frightened eyes, as they surrounded them.
"Kiba....I'm scared"

Brakdern stared at Calder.
"I have all your memories and I must tell you that, after I destroy you, The Dark Order will rise again. We will kill every good living person in sight and it will be your fault"
Calder had a tear in his eye.
"SHUT UP!" he shouted in anger. Their surroundings changed and they appeared at the 2nd District in Traverse Town. There were dark clouds hanging over them and the buildings were completely destroyed. The only building that still existed, was the Gizmo Shop clock tower. It generated energy in the world. It was useful to the New Order. Everything else wasn't.
"This is the future, I foresee"
Calder clenched the hilt of his keyblade and his heart was pounding in anger. His face was red.
"This WILL NEVER HAPPEN!"

 

"Eeey! Vallie! I found two kids!" The young girl of the trio called, smashing her chakrams into some nobodies in her way. Vale fired flame and incinerated all those standing between them and the two young ones, and ran to their side. "I suppose you two are lost?" He asked as a ring of fire surrounded them.

Not even a moment had passed since Siah, Voltair, and Symm had entered when the reaper summoned the petal shield to protect them from the blades of darkness. He asked, "Quick, plans?" before glancing around.

 

"I've got a few. Either we draw him deep into Kingdom Hearts, causing the pure light to kill him. Or I'll destory him from the inside out." Voltair answered. "The first option will probably kill me. The second option, I'm not sure what would happen."

 

The daggers started to break through the shield and a knife went through Harone's shoulder. Harone took it out, as darkness ran out of it. It seeped along the floor and went into Anselm's mouth. Harone kneeled down, panting.
"Don't let those daggers hit you. He's taking my powers away" he said, as more energy flowed out and went into Anselm's mouth. Then he looked up at Voltair, holding onto his shoulder.
"Follow your heart, Voltair. What is right to you?"

Calder raised the hilt of his keyblade.
"I've had enough of you, trying to make my life a misery. It wasn't a misery but now, it is and it's affecting others. I won't let you torture Siah!"
Calder ran and jumped towards Brakdern but as Brakdern was going to block the attack, Calder side dashed to his side and struck him. Brakdern smiled.
"Very clever, Calder but....I can do so much more"
Suddenly metal plating enravelled around his body and placed itself onto it, like a knight, a black knight.
"YOU WILL SUFFER DEATH!"
Brakdern disappeared and reappeared behind Calder. He hacked his keyblade onto Calder's back in furious speed, leaving Siah's hero to be gasping for breath. He fell to the ground, feeling his back slashed and sore. He felt blood trickling down his back and fell down to his knees.
"You are weak, Calder"
"NO I'M NOT!"
Calder turned towards Brakdern and a blast of light, about the same size as Brakdern, sent him towards a wall. Calder felt tired, but he had to carry on for Siah. He promised her he would return. Brakdern was struggling to get up but Calder was able to. He sprinted towards him and thrusted his blade towards Brakdern's dark heart but he disappeared and their surroundings changed. They were in a desert with rocks overhanging them. Suddenly the dark knight, grabbed hold of the back of his throat and slammed Calder onto the rocks. Calder casted a ring of fire around him to make Brakdern back off. Fury was in Calder's eyes.
"NO MORE!"
Calder sent a block of ice towards Brakdern's feet. He was forzen to the spot and before Brakdern could react, Calder stabbed him through. Brakdern's eyes became from red to black. The armor broke off and his eyes turned from red to yellow. Fur started to build on him and he stood on all fours. His body enlargened and sharp teeth formed. He was turning into a beast and soon he became a beast twenty times larger than Calder. He was huge.
