The New Dawn 5: Shadows Awaken

Melody saw Calder crying....sobbing in fact.
"What's wrong Calder?"
Calder looked at Kiba and Melody with an annoyed expression.
"WHY ARE YOU HERE!?" he shouted in anger.
Melody stepped back behind Kiba, hand on her mouth. The other handling Kiba's hand.
"Calder...."
Suddenly the ship shook violently.
"What's going on!?" Melody screamed.
The man, Calder met before with scars on his face appeared behind Melody and Kiba.
"Love always gets in the way, Calder. That is why I must do this"
He took them by the shoulders and they disappeared.
"NO!!!"
The man threw the two kids in a cage as they reappeared in The World That Never Was. Melody held Kiba as soon as she could. She was petrified. The man looked really scary.
"Who are you?" she demanded.
"My name is Anselm and you will suffer the same fate as I have very soon"
Melody was shivering.
"Kiba...I..."

Vanquish appeared next to her son and she held his shoulder.
"Anselm, how wonderful it is to see you again"
She hugged him but Anselm pushed her away.
"Protect this hallway. Stop anyone coming in"

 

Voltair set Raven down gently on the ground. "Raven...... If this really is you..... Please. Wake up. I'm lost. I don't know what to do. I let them get what you tried to keep safe. Without you...... I've got no idea what to do." He sat down, and took a deep breath. "If you can hear me, I'm coming in." He closed his eyes. The image of his spirit got out of his body. It then flew into Raven's body.

 

"Maybe." Voltair said as he turned around. "But you know me. I never listen. If I did, I probably wouldn't be here. So is my deafness a good thing? Or a bad thing?"

 

Melody held his hand and nodded.
"Yes, I believe in you"
She kissed his cheek and smiled.
"I know you won't let me down"

 

"Interesting how people can be connected. But I suppose now isn't the time to think back on the past. I need you to wake up. And the bad guys said that you're keeping yourself asleep." Voltair said. "But now you're in a safe place. Can you please wake up? You've been sleeping for too long. Even I don't sleep that much."

 

Melody whispered in Kiba's ear, so close that her lips were touching it. She didn't want Vanquish to overhear.
"What are you going to do?"

Calder was angry. He had to finish this. They have ruined his life and countless others too many times before. He couldn't stop thinking about Siah. Was it the right thing to do? To break her heart?
He saw The World That Never Was ahead of him.
"I'll save them first and then I will kill the darkness" he said darkly. He wasn't like himself. The thoughts were scaring him. What will he become?

 

Symm had disappeared from the group - and moments later, it was apparent where he went, as a shout of "SONOVA -----" was heard throughout the halls of Disney Castle. He rejoined the others, cursing under his breath. "Ragh! Calder stole my ship and nobody told me! Why I oughtta. . . ."

 

Anselm entered through a portal and walked out of it, seeing Rai.
"Rai, I have a task for you. I want you to bring back an old friend of mine. With him, the worlds will crumble to the darkness. There will be no last star. Nothing will survive. Not even Siah and her precious Calder"
Suddenly a heartless came upto Anselm.
"What is it?"
The heartless pointed towards the window and Anselm saw a gummi ship enter inside the atmosphere.
"Interesting, very interesting. The fool has come alone"
Anselm messaged Racheal "Come. We must fight an enemy of mine. We need to overpower him. Also I want to see your skills in the darkness"

Anselm smiled.
"Saki was too weak to take control of the situation. That is why I have eradicated him"

Calder was starting to panic, thinking of Kiba and Melody being trapped.

Melody trusted Kiba completely. SHe knew he wouldn't let her get into trouble.

 

"Anselm.... Sounds like somebody said Ansem wrong. But I'll fix this. I don't know what I'll do. Or how deep in the darkness I'm willing to go. But I'll make sure that this won't happen for another millenia. And I'll bring you back. No matter how long it takes."

 

Symm rubbed his temples with his eyes closed for a minute, and then sighed.

"Well, I can't guarantee it, but I believe I can track the ship by entering the computer's data into another ship. But, like I said, there's no guarantee." He told her, shrugging. "I just hope that fool hasn't gotten himself into trouble. . ."

 

Calder landed in The World That Never Was, keyblade out ready to fight. He knew he shouldn't have come alone. He should have let Siah come with him. She would be so upset...
Suddenly a voice rang out in his mind.
"Having troubles with your girlfriend?"
"WHERE ARE YOU!?" Calder shouted in anger.
Suddenly someone kicked him from behind. Calder looked back and no-one was there.
"Do you remember Brakdern?"
"Ofcourse I do!"
"Do you remember his anger, his leadership, his ruthlessness?"
Anselm appeared infront of him.
"Yes I do but now I must stop you!"
Calder swung his keyblade at Anselm but he simply held it in his hand and crushed the blade with his tightening grip.
"You will not need that anymore"
Calder was shocked and stepped back.
"Who are you?"
"I am Anselm. Ever since Nicole "killed" me, I have been watching you...and your future. It looks grim indeed and it leads to Brakdern"
"What...what do you mean?" he asked with fear.
"You are Brakdern. Haven't you noticed the darkness take you over the past few years?"
Calder looked down, darkness hanging over his body. Red eyes forming onto his pupils.
"This is your destiny, Calder and we must rewrite history. If you do not, I must kill Siah"
Calder bowed down to Anselm.
"Just leave her alone. I'll do whatever you want....master"
"Good, I knew you would come to reason"
Anselm held a keyblade in his hands. It was black bladed and a red handle formed.
"This is your keyblade from now on"
Calder took it. He felt the power coming from it. His clothes turned more rugged and black, as he placed it in his hand. His hair turned blood red.



"So what is my first mission, master"
"Kill King Mickey and Voltair. They are the strongest out of them"
Calder grimaced and looked away.
"I will do it"
He was thinking of Siah, only wanting to protect her. If the darkness kept coming and he was darkness himself, she would be kept safe. Calder felt it was the only way and the darkness strengthed his decision. He didn't want Siah to witness what he has become.
"Call me Brakdern from now on, Anselm. I do not want Siah to know of my identity"
Anselm nodded and walked away into the shadows. Brakdern jumped onto the rooftops of the World That Never Was, thinking about what he just did.
"I'll have to make it seem I've died"
He raised his hand and suddenly a copy of Calder appeared on the street, lying down on the street, with no heartbeat and scar marks around his body. There was an injury at his heart, meaning it was thrusted through by a blade. The skin was pearl white. As pale as a ghost. Tears ran down Brakdern's face.
"I'm sorry Siah...I'm so sorry" he said to nothing. He got a piece of paper and wrote onto it, with different handwriting "Calder's last words were, enjoy your life Siah. Find someone more special than me. Life goes on. Goodbye"

Brakdern couldn't stop a teardrop from falling onto the piece of paper. He walked away from the body and entered inside the castle, a few minutes afterwards. He sat on a chair in the throne room and looked down, tears making his face red.

 

Symm shuddered as he followed Siah into the hangar.

"Geh, I'm getting a feeling of doom lying ahead. . . ." Symm began, before he grabbed Siah by the shoulders and turned her to a particularly sleek ship with many wings. "That one. It's the fastest thing in this place, so we should be able to cat- I just realized. . . what happened to your brother?"

 

Harone followed Siah and Symm. He was worried about his children and the future. Where did Calder go off to? Also would Emily ever come back to being good again?
"They were in the gummi ship. I hate how reckless Calder can be at times" Harone told Symm. He clenched his fist in anger.
"He's going to get himself..."
He stopped, thinking about how Siah would be feeling right now.

 

"Don't worry. What could possibly happen to me?" Voltair smiled. He started to back up. He then flew backwards, out of Raven.

The ghostly figure of him walked back into his body. Voltair then stood up. "Alright. No holding back anymore. Get rid of them and do it fast."

 

Harone frowned.
"I'm sorry Siah but you must know this. That boy loves you. I heard your argument and I know he didn't mean that. He has risked his life countless times, like you said, to save you. He wouldn't do that to you if it wasn't for a reason. Men do anything for their lovers, even if they suffer"
He walked inside the gummi ship and started the engine.

Everyone soon entered inside and the gummi ship thrusted into space. Harone was side driver.
