The New Dawn 5: Shadows Awaken

Kiba smiled and shrugged "I dont want anything bad to happen to you so I guess so." he said "You're ok with that right?"

They had been flying for a while before Siah saw Disney Castle in the distance. She was relieved that they were almost there and hoped that the king or queen would know what was going on. She didn't even notice that she was holding on to Calder's hand very tightly due to worry.

 

Siah laughed a little "Well technically Raven brought that question on. She was acting weird that day if I remember correctly anyone would have wondered of those two liked eachother but were either arguing or too stubborn to admit it. I think even Symm was wondering the same thing." she leaned over and kissed his cheek "Besides I thought the romantic side of you was cute."

Kiba smiled "Dont worry about it." he said he didn't even seem to notice that he was holding her hand.

Just then a voice came through the radio "Symm? Harone? Is that you?" it was Chip.

Rai sighed not being able to find anything else that sparked her memory so she shrugged and looked at Voltair "This is just getting more confusing I dont see what memory I would have wanted to keep from whoever Hunter is working with."
She glared or if there is its a well guarded memory.
"I'm guessing we should try the next one." she pulled out the last card, the second city of dawn one.

 

Rai shrugged "Well I'm not sure why he would want to give us one of his own memories. I mean what would that accomplish?" she said as she followed him toward the ladder. She payed little attention to where she was going except enough to know she was going in the right direction. She had pulled out the card Hunter gave them and was looking at it. She still had no idea what world it was plus that last memory of Raven talking to herself confused Rai too. Raven never had a habit of talking to herself, thinking too deeply about things yes but not talking to herself. It was almost like she was talking to someone else.

 

Kiba's face felt hot. He turned away unsure how to answer her. He had never met a girl quite like Melody. It was odd to him.

Arlene appeared next to Vanquish "Kidnapping children? Hmph and they say I'm the heartless girl of the group." she said with a sarcastic smile.

Siah laughed "I know we were so little... but it doesn't seem like it was so long ago oddly." she said thoughtfully. She could see Disney Castle getting bigger out the window.

Back in the 11th floor of the castle, Rai looked at the two cards. "This is weird. Why would he give us thirteen cards for a twelve floor castle. It doesn't make sence." she said to Voltair.

 

Arlene smiled "Oh no one I suppose same as you." she said with a shrug. "I'm curious though, you said you wanted to kill your light side but you share the same body. You kill her and you kill yourself as well right?"

Rai shrugged "Okay then." she said as she walked toward the door. She held out the City of Dawn Card to the door and it opened slowly. She was pretty use to this by now so she walked through without hesitation, dissapearing within the light that came through the doorway.

Chip didn't answer for a while when he did he said "Thank goodness! You better get down here quick. The king has been expecting you for hours."

Siah smiled "Yeah they are... but who is that girl anyway? Kiba only had the chance to introduce her to me briefly."

 

Siah smiled "I think we will have time for that later. It looks like Melody is kind of scared as it is." she laughed a little.

Kiba put his arm around her "Of course not. I promise, I wont let them hurt you." he whispered to her, secretly hoping she wasn't going to cry or anything. He was never that good at that sort of thing.

Rai walked straight into the memory of Siah and Raven out in the outskirts of the city. Rai recognised it as the place that she had been when Porter had fought them earlier that day. Raven looked different in this memory than the others, almost Voltair's opposite with white wings and her body seemed to give off it's own light. She was in front of Siah, who looked like she was about to have a panic attack. Rai immediately became a part of the memory.

the memory flickered slightly like it had before in Traverse Town. Siah dissapeared for a moment and then came back.

Rai was confused, she knew what this memory was. Why was it skipping around so much? It was like the memory was tampered with and Rai didn't remember saying any of the things Raven was saying. Try as hard as she was, she couldn't break through watever was messing with the memory Damn she thought to herself. It flickered again and everything almost went totally black but then it came back clearer than before but it wasn't the same time. She could see Raven on the ground, she wasn't moving and there was no color in her face. She could see Siah running back to the city.
Ok... so that should be the end right? She died. We can both see it now.
She was about to turn to look at Voltair but she saw movement from the corner of her eye. She turned around to see a small girl appear a short distance away. Her silver hair cut so short it was in messy spikes and her eyes crimson red.
Rai then heard a sound so quiet she almost didn't hear it at all: a weak, but sudden breath.
She looked back at Raven to see that she had reverted back to her normal form. Rai's eyes were wide with shock. Raven was breathing. She wasn't dead. The memory came to an end there but it only skipped to some time in the future.

The girl that they had seen in Twilight Town was standing near the door with her arms folded, watching Porter and Saki intently. One of the two men spoke but the memory was too unclear to know which one had said it.
"Where did you find her?"
The girl shrugged "Lost in the dark relm of course. By all scientific reasons, she should be dead or a heartless. It intrested me that she wasn't so I brought her back here. Besides, I think Saki here knows her."
Porter stepped back "Amazing. You're right by all explanations, this girl should not be alive. Her heart is... well it's there but it isn't supposed to exist."
Saki said something but the memory was still very unclear everything that the three said was unclear for the next few minutes. Rai kicked the ground absently.
The memory ended with the two men stepping away and the silver haired girl stepping forward. All of the colors blurred and wavered like a broken TV would and then Rai and Voltair were standing in an empty room with white walls and floors. The memory had died away without them having to leave the room. Rai looked confused and a little frustrated "Is that normal here?"

 

Rai shrugged "I dont really know for sure." she said, already walking toward the door "There were a lot of people asking me about you and then I tried to leave and one tried to stop me so I fought him and then found my way back here. It's not that intresting of a story. Pretty much the same song and dance that we've been dealing with since I met you."

 

Kiba sighed "I promise everything's going to be fine. Ok Melody?" she said as he helped her up. "Just trust me. I wont let anything bad happen."

Chip was about to answer but a voice interrupted him "Where on earth have you been? We've all been worried sick!" it was Dazy that came storming out of the castle "Darkness spreading all over the place, evil people comming back from the dark relm, the cornerstone losing power, AND Voltair gone missing. With all of that going on we thought you might be dead or worse!"

Siah bit her lip "Sorry Dazy, we couldn't be here sooner because bad things kept stopping us from comming sooner."

Dazy sighed irritably as she reached the group, Chip and Dale backed away exchanging looks that said 'here we go again...'. "The king and qen are in the library you better hurry up and go see them. They havent come out of there for days."

 

Siah walked into the library slowly "Your magesties..."

Mickey shook his head "No time for formalities Siah. We have got a big problem on our hands."

Siah nodded "Thats why we came here. We thought you would be able to tell us whats wrong."

Mickey nodded "Do you remember a year ago... what happened to Raven?"

Siah nodded solemnly and looked down, saying nothing.

"Good..." Mickey said "Theres something that you all should know then."

Arlene appeared next to Hunter "So I made you ap romise right? Its about time that Rai and Voltair should be at the top floor of the castle. You still up for comming along?"

Rai shrugged "Anyway we have one card left so..." she walked toward the door and held the card to the door. It opened and Rai walked through the door. What she saw around them confused her. She was sure she had never seen this before. "This isn't my memory." she said, sure of it this time. They were in some sort of tower that seemed to stretch as far as she could see both up and down. There was only one window where she and Voltair were standing and outside was just empty space but she could see Destiny Island in the distance in one direction and a giant dark world far away in the other direction. "Where are we?"
