The New Dawn 4: Attack of the Final Star

Siah nodded "Its... more than that." she looked away "I dont want to get married in the middle of war and pain. I want there to be a true reason for happieness and I dont want any worry for what's going to happen tomorrow cloud over a day thats supposed to be perfect." she sighed "I dont know if I'm making any sence but I want to wait not only until we're a little older, but more importantly after we have restored light and piece to our lives and the worlds. I owe at least that much to you, to have our wedding day be a day in which we dont have to worry about the darkness outside."

Jaxx dodged the Voltiar copy with ease and kicked him in the back of the head, very hard causing him to fall over. Jaxx looked back at Voltiar "You could try but those little tricks only work on the weak minded. Maybe you could get it to work on yourself or Raven." she laughed "But if you'll be a good boy and calm down then maybe I'll tell you what I know."

 

Jaxx didn't seem very convinced that the fighting was over. She also put her weapons away, including the sword that Voltiar had thrown off, though she didn't let her guard down as she looked back at Voltiar "There really isn't much to explain that you probably wont already know. I just saw it from some interesting memories locked in Raven's heart when I first met her. Did you know she's been there since you last saw her? That she actually found a way back and didn't tell you?" she shrugged "Sounds like a pretty big secret to keep from someone she so called loves."

 

Jaxx read the suspision in Voltiar's eyes and shrugged "Haven't the foggiest clue how all I saw was glimpses and a few thoughts." she said with a yawn "But what buisness is this of mine anyway? For all I care the two of you could both be dead." she turned to walk away but then turned around "You really think she wouldn't keep secrets from you? Thats laughable and very naive." she took something from her pocket and tossed it at Voltiar. It was a photo taken years ago. Child like faces of Raven, Voltiar, Amelia and a few other friends from the destroyed world looked out at Voltiar with smiling faces. "You've been told lies since before the City of Dawn was ever destroyed. You dont even know who and what you really are." she then dissapeared.

Jaxx appeared next to Colded "Look, not to interrupt the little family meeting but theres something I think you should know." she said.

 

Raven stared out the window in the Tower. Voltiar was late. SHe kept trying to tell herself that this was normal but these days you never know was was going on especially seeing as he was stuck in a world that was never safe. She sighed and closed her eyes trying to focus on not worrying. She had already had a stressful enough day without putting unnessesary stress on her mind. She was sure he was fine... wasn't she? She smiled a little at herself I'm starting to think like Siah she mused before she looked back at Destiny Island through the window. Only one little step could save them... all of them forever. But it could also lead to all of their distruction.

 

Raven smiled a little despite the fact that she was still worried she was glad at least he seemed happy as far as she could tell. She didn't turn to look at him when she answered him "Well you are late so what do you think?" she said sarcasticly before she turned around so she could see him.

 

Raven examined the picture and her smile faided a little but then she gave it back to Voltiar. She ignored his first comment seeming to have completely forgotten it "It's just a childhood picture of us. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need much explaining." she said kind of briskly. "You sure Jaxx isn't just trying to mess with you?"

 

Raven rolled her eyes "Yeah well she is all for the dramatics as long as it gets someone confused." she said but then she sighed "But what she said is technically true though we werent lied to. You cant be lied to if no one ever knew the truth." the smile that had originally been on her face was gone. "Neither of them were lying."

 

Siah almost didn't want to let him go but she did anyway. She was sure her mom was going to have a lot of questions and stuff for her when she went inside. "Night Calder... I'll see you in the morning." she said before she stood up. She remembered something vaugely from whatever happened after she and Calder went into the heart of Destiny Island. Early wedding present?... she shook her head and started walking back to her house.

Raven sighed, obviously not willing to do this but she really didn't have a choice at this point and besides he had the right to know anyway. "I cant tell you.... but I can show you." she opened a light corridor and walked through it leaving it open for Voltiar to follow. When the two of them stepped out of the light they appeared in a world that looked like this: . When Raven looked back at Voltiar she looked sad "Welcome home." she said sarcasticly.
