Link just stared at the great gardian of the forest in disbelief. "...no that can't be." he shook his head "You got the wrong boy..." he said.

The Deku tree interrupted him "It was not of my chosing. The goddess Farore chose you to save Hyrule. Would you deny her athority?"

Link shook his head "No... but..."

The Deku tree laughed a little "You are worried because you are just a forest boy. Until today, a FAIRYLESS forest boy."

Link nodded.

The Deku Tree sighed and Navi flew off the branch to Link as he spoke "Link there is a story nobody told you... exactly twelve years ago on a very stormy and dark night a injured, pregnant and frightened woman came to seek safety in the forests. A few of the Kokirian tribe found her lost and unconcious in the lost forest and brought her home. She was healed back to health. She died durring child birth a week after her arrival."

"Link you are the son of that woman who arrived here twelve years ago... you are not really Kokirain at all. You are... a Hylan!"

Link was so shocked he wasn't sure what to say. "You.... thats why I never had a fairy." this brought wory to hiim. THis meant he would grow up someday and Saria never would.

Link just nodded, speachless. "What... what am I supposed to do?"

"I am dying, Link. A dark sorcerer cast a curse on me when I refused to give him the spiritual stone of the forest. Link As a final wish of mine, please destroy the evil that now rests inside of me before it spreads through the whole forest. Retrieve he speritual stone and bring it back out here..." It's immense mouth opened revealing a cave inside. The Deku's voice spoke from everywhere "Find the stone and destroy the evil... but be quick chosen hero of time..."
