Raine shook her head.

"You didn't fail me, I failed you, Caliber was able to unlock the knowledge for Matthius earlier unknown he was doing it, I didn't, if anyone failed anyone, it was me failing you as your key." Raine explained.

"Not all the hope is lost though." She told him. "Our time, as just this time realm and us belonging to this time realm may be over, however, in a different time realm, there is hope." Raine told him. An image appeared in front of them.

Two children sat in a pit in the ground, both beaten up pretty bad, heartless standing over them.

It was the younger version of them. The image faded.

"They will suceed, I can just feel it. But for us, though our time is up." Raine explained.

"But we're togeather in this, always." Raine smiled at him and took his hand as a light doorway appeared in front of them she started walking forward into the doorway.

 

Lost. All lost. Everything she had worked for, everything she would work for, all for naught. The two fools had gotten themselves killed, and all that was left was a mage on the verge of death and a girl with her great power being absorbed by a 'god'. And as Malisa reflected on the events, she dropped her barrier and began to sculpt something powerful, something special, with mana.

Moments before. . .

"And now she addresses me. . ." The sorceress groaned, putting her barrier to full power. It was doing a dandy job of slowing down the impending death immensely, especially with the mass of clones outside draining it. "And how am I supposed to send her back in time without a body anyways?"

Malisa's face turned into one of obscene pity and sadness as the bodies passed through her shield.

"They should have listened. They should have LISTENED!" She cried, punching the ground with a mettalic THUD. "I swear, I'll figure this one out. . ."

Malisa finished sculpting the mana empowered pendant, looping it around the dead Raine's neck. Engraved on the back were the words, "Press the gem, and all will be known." Checking the body's pocket, she heaved a sigh of relief knowing that the scroll was still there, and slipped the star Angel gave her in as well. With an almost evil grin, she turned to where Matthias had exited and snarled, "Oh, you may win this time, but I'll make sure it is the most miserable and lonely existence in the world."

The sorceress finally began weaving the time traveling spell, wrapping the body in a sphere of pure energy as she incanted the words necessary for the magic to coalesce. With one final shout, she blasted the thing into the Etherflow of the omniverse, praying that it arrived intact.

"And now, to imprison Matthias. He may have expected everybody else in this reality, but unfortunately for him, I'm not a part." She said sinisterly, hovering in the air. "8 is the most powerful that can freeze one area, 9 freezes all of one plane of existence, but 10 freezes all of them. I'm sorry for doing this to you, Angel, but this entire omniverse needs to be sealed off."



"ICE-10!"



The one shout it took to cast the spell never even reached her companion's ears. By then, everything and everywhere was frozen. Even the Void of space could not withstand the ultimate magic involved. And thus did she seal off that future forever.

Raine looked up from their hill. "This is going to be difficult, with your right leg and my left hand, we can't climb up out of here." Raine said looking up.


Racing to Save who he looks after...

Jiminy cricket hurried along before getting back to the ship seeing the condition it was in. "Malisa, Raine and Jaden are in trouble!" Jiminy stated jumping up and down.

Worried of What He Thinks...

Raine helped Jaden sit down on a rock. Before sitting down on another one. She sighed looking down at the ground. 'Why can't I bring myself to say it?' Raine thought to herself. She looked over at Jaden, both of them were in pretty poor condition from their fall.

"Jaden, there's something, that it's kind of odd and I'm sort of confused a little about, but it's important." Raine started to say but suddenly she saw a shadow get cast over her. She quickly looked up and saw that around the top of the hole above them they were surrounded by heartless. She raised her right arm summoning her keyblade while her left arm hung by her side.


A Vortex From Doom...

Suddenly a vortex opened up in the sky. Raine looked up quickly.

"Jaden!" She exclaimed unsure of the vortext. A light burst out as all the heartless disappeared. Something came falling out of the vortex. Raine hurried to what fell out desummoning her keyblade.

A girl lied on her back, dead. Raine laid her hand on the body her head hurt in a second and was over. She flipped the body over.

It was a girl about the age of 18, the odd thing was the girl looked sort of like her.

"Jaden...?" She looked up at him.

(Act II)
The Undying Chase​

 

"Impressive." Matthias thought to himself as he stood there, frozen solid. "I gain immortality, and she makes me into a popsicle. And it appears that this magic makes a wonderful blockade for that knowledge that was previously flowing into me. I'm gonna have to think of something to break out. Not like it matters for this reality. But the other reality of three years ago... Jaden's gonna live. I wonder how our fight ends out in that reality. Well, if I ever break free I'm gonna have to finish absorbing the knowledge so I will know how the fight ends. Well, she said this'll be the loneliest existence ever. But I do have more time than I know what to do with."

 

Raine knelt down by the two bodies. "Hmm..." She looked over at her body and found a scroll and star in the pocket. She looked up at a giant gem on a chain around the neck. She pulled off the chain and looked at the gem and ran her finger over it. She felt an engravement and looked.

"Press the gem and all will be known." She said aloud looking at it. She pushed down on the gem.

 

A semi-holographic image of the future Malisa's head and shoulders appeared, the body still apparently metallic.

"Greetings Raine," The recording announced, "I hope I got this right. If Jaden is still alive and well, then we still have a chance to save the future. I don't exactly have much time left, so I'll try to keep this brief. If this spell transported this body to the right time, then you should be on Infortunus, the world he was killed on. Point is, he was killed there sometime in your near future, and I am trying to prevent this. His death results in not only the destruction of your entire reality, but of the entire multiverse. It eventually leads to your future self's death, as you can tell by this body. Now-"

The recording phazed out for a moment before the pendant flashed. Malisa and Kain* appeared next to them from spheres of energy.

"-I have two things to give you. Past me, the scroll is for you. It contains many pages of the book you've been studying translated, and it should make things easier for you in the long run. It also has a few other notes of interest, but I'll leave you to them. Now, Jaden, Kain, and Raine. This star was given to me by Angel, and it is some sort of teleporting device. You have to find Angel. She'll help you. She told me she is at 1180 Louie Drive in Fruitland, Idaho, whatever that means. Now, Malisa, you will be forced out of this dimension, soon. I suggest you hold onto that scroll tight. I really wish I could tell you more, but I've got to seal this future off before my body destroys itself. I wish you all luck on your journey, and Jaden: Matthias is the real enemy here. Good-bye, forever."

The pendant disintigrated after that.

"Well, that was certainly interesting." Malisa remarked, walking over to the scroll and nabbing it. "You know, I've always said to myself that if I ever learned how to time travel, I'd give myself a hand with that tedious book I've been reading."

Raine nodded hearing the things. She was still confused. Raine turned to the others.

"I'm not too sure what that was all about, but whatever it is, I think a lot of details are missing like how is Matthius the real enemy and when Jaden and my future self die, how does that ruin the future?" Raine stated. she looked at the star in her hand.

"We need to figure this out." Raine stated when suddenly the star began to glow.

 

Raine just stood there and blinked at the many creatures and looked back at the boy and listened in on both of the fighting boys.

"Will the two of you knock it off. To be teachnical our parents and homes were created by creators, we just came from them." Raine spoke the little bit of sense she got from it all. She looked at Mario Junior.

"That's a long name, why not just go as Junior?" Raine asked him.

 

Malisa didn't come with them. By that time, the dimension had rejected her, ejecting her about the same time the star was activated. And thus, she would begin a long and arduous journey to find her brother in time. The scroll she had told her the way, the people to watch out for, the events unavoidable. Now, it was up to the sorceress to enact her future self's final wishes. Only time will tell whether she accomplishes them or not.

 

Xohka was on Starship Mario, abandoning the Syneptophies for a little while. There was a rumor in this universe about a machine that can create worlds so he decided to look for it and accomplish his personal goal first. He got the ship from the Lumas; they owed him for saving their lives from a small black hole. There was a small flash about a light year away from where he was. "Is that it?" he pondered. He jumped (very high because of the low gravity) into the chimney and into a room with a telescope and ball of light. He looked through the telescope and saw a Koopa on a pirate-like ship attacking an observatory. The heroes were there. "Eh? How'd they get here?" Then his ship suddenly jumped into overdrive and was suddenly close to the battle. "What the heck happened?" Xohka jumped back out and saw a baby Yoshi stepping on the switch in front of the wheel. "What the hell are you doing here?" he asked. The Yoshi answered with a 20-foot long lick. "Stop that. We have to get out of here before-" The ship rocked from an exploding Bullet Bill that destroyed the engines. Instinctively, Xohka created his Shadow Dimension, enveloping the ship inside a giant black ball. It was almost invisible in space.

 

Raine looked at the events and she found a star and copied what Jaden and Jr did. The star took into flight quickly.

"Woah!" She exclaimed and kept her balance.

She found held onto it to dear life. But during this time she began to ponder things. Somethings she learned and thought about the future.

 

Raine couldn't control the landing neither. She looked and pushed off the star towards the platform and held on to the edge over the lava by about 6 feet. She pulled herself up and looked at Jr and Jaden. She sighed.

"That was way to close." She said to them. She looked towards the path. She crossed her arms. She saw Jaden nervous even sweating a bit. She crossed her arms. She wish it was a lot cooler here. That's when she got an idea.

"I got an idea to get accross this, maybe we could freeze the path." Raine suggested. She was sure they could just cross it, but better not take a risk though.

 

"How ironic." A voice echoed out. "Here I was searching for a new world for us to consume, and I stumble upon you of all people." Above Jaden and Raine, a massive shadow went past them. "I suppose you will make a decent snack." A fireball shot out to Jaden and Raine.

"Zabrynth, I'm going back to Earth." Matthias told him. "I'm going to find out if there are any secrets there that will give us the upper hand."
