The Dominion of Everything

Malisa, during this whole time, was taking some agression and energy out on the nearest town she was in, which was pretty safe considering that nobody lived there. She had just set a house on fire when the voice of Sora broke into her thoughts.

"What in the multiverse. . . Learned Babeldom." She incanted, a transparent sphere surrounding her head and giving her telepathy. "Who are you, what are you doing in my head, and how do you know Raine?"

 

Matthias watched Raine and Caliber the same way he communicated to Kilm. "Kilm's puppet abilities are rather interesting. Watching these two children, it would be better to say 'Dance puppets, dance' if I had his abilities. All in due time. Once I've acquired the blade, everything will be within reach. Nothing will be denied to me. But until that time comes, how about a little mind screw?" Matthias snapped his fingers, creating individual illusions for Raine and Caliber. They couldn't see what the other person saw.

"Hello Caliber." His hallucination spoke. What Caliber saw was a figure that looked like him. "You don't recognize me, do you?" The figure mockingly laughed at him. "I suppose that is to be expected from somebody as weak and pathetic as you. I can't believe you're the one who is allowed to control the body. I'm the real you. I'm the darkness in your heart. I'm your ambition, your courage. A pathetic wimp like you shouldn't exist. You can't even muster up the courage to talk to a stranger. And Raine, don't even get me started with her. She's just using you. She doesn't love you. She loves Jaden. She's using you to make up for lost time with Jaden. Just you watch. If he ever comes back, Raine will leave you in a heartbeat. She'll go running back to Jaden, completely forgetting the time you two spent. And you know what will become of you? You will die on the inside, begging me for the strength to win her back. And my answer? No. You don't deserve my help with a woman who doesn't love you. Did it never occur to you that something was wrong? She was grieving over Jaden, and then she immediately jumps to you. Have you never considered the possibility that she's not who she claims? Her heart is weak, easily controllable. I continually wonder to myself, why you never thought about it. Raine has been by herself for three years now. And she is a pathetically weak fighter when compared to the likes of the Syneptomy. Do you want to know the truth? Raine is dead. You've been traveling with a fake, created by Matthias."

"Raine..." Raine's illusion began speaking to her. "Raine... My daughter..." Her hallucination was Sora, bloodied and bruised. He was even missing his left arm. "How could you let this happen to me? You failed your duty. With your self imposed exile you allowed the Syneptomy to dominate everything. How can I call you my daughter? You banish yourself to the Keyblade Graveyard, not even trying to save the hero Jaden. You abandoned him when he needed your help the most. And now you forget about him all for Caliber, the one man in all of existence who is more of a wimp than Jaden. And now, because of your mistakes, I'm on the brink of death. Matthias... He cut off my arm... Because you let your guard down. When he pulled your soul from your body, he learned how to use your keyblade. It was your weapon that caused this damage to me." The Sora hallucination collapsed. "You've fallen for every trick they laid out. Caliber is their tool, don't you know. He's being... Controlled by Matthias. He's getting close to you to grab Jaden's sword and give it to Matthias. And this is because you were too weak to see through such a simple charade."

 

Raine looked at the Sora hallucination and sighed. She ignored him.

'A common hallucination of darkness, I can see the dark aura around him, a fake created by a being of darkness, not quite sure but was created by a being f darkness, he doesn't even act like my father.' Raine thought to herself and turned to the woman.

"Excuse me would you happen to know where a girl name Angel lives?" Raine asked the woman frowned.

"Angel disappeared 3 years ago, her family and her lived right next door, her family were taken by the syn due to them being such powerful creators. I sure hope they're ok..." The woman stated. Raine nodded.

"I sure hope so too." Raine stated. "Well thanks." Raine told the woman who nodded and closed the door. She stepped off the porch and looked at the empty abandoned house to the left. The grass was at least 4 feet high, siding of the house was peeling off. Windows were broken, the entire house was a disaster. She looked up and stopped. She could see light! From a being, a powerful one at that!



Sora heard the voice and knew it wasn't Raine.

"My name is Sora. Raine is my daughter." Sora told Malisa.

 

"Oh great. This reality's Sora. Useless bunch you are. . . I am Malisa, omnipotent sorceress extra-ordinaire." She muttered grudgingly, as she took a seat on a rather large piece of rubble nearby. The sorceress then asked, "Any messages you would like delivered, since I need to get back to her anyways?"

 

"Meh... Fair enough." Matthias muttered as he dispelled Raine's hallucination. "Although she is rather uneducated about my magic. I don't use darkness you idiot!" Matthias yelled at Raine, even though she couldn't hear him. "Oh well. I'll be sure to rip out Sora's soul once she finds him. Then, if necessary, kill Caliber to further break her down. She'll break at some point. People like her cannot keep up their attitude if all their loved ones die. I think they came up with a term for people who do that in writing. Something about them being too perfect and unrealistic. Oh well, every piece advances towards their positions."

 

Kain fired off arrows into the puppet's head as it dropped and vanished in a puff of black smoke. Mickey slashed away a greed minion before it began spinning wildly with its club, making the mouse and Hylian duck for cover. Kain put away his bow and drew out his sword and shield as Mickey got ready. "Now!" They yelled in unison as the demon stopped spinning, apparently dazed by it's own attack. The two stabbed it, each in a seperate head and it vanished in flames. They then began to fight off the other enemies surrounding them.
"There's too many!" Kain yelled as he cut down a puppet.
"We gotta keep going!" Mickey shouted back as he cut a greed in two. They continued for many minutes until Kain had an idea. He quickly knocked them back and pulled out his amulet. He gave it a few quick presses before tossing it into a group. There was a flash and suddenly the group vanished.
"I opened a path, let's go!" He yelled as he started running. Mickey followed as the others were still wondering what happened to the group.

"What was that?" Mickey asked.
"My warp amulet. It's how I was able to travel between worlds after the incident. I set it to warp in three seconds and tossed it into the group. They should be in some place called 'The Underworld' now." Kain explained. Suddenly the screeching started again and they looked back to see the enemies had started chasing them again. "Well, no time to talk. We've gotta get to the Tower!"

 

OOC: I don't know where Hope is but I'll control angel for now

Raine quickly turned around and looked around. She ran towards the light and stopped in front of it seeing a girl stepping out. The girl smiled and waved.

"Hello." The girl said. Raine looked at her and crossed her arms.

"So you're Raine?" The girl asked looking Raine up and down. "You must be Caliber." She turned and looked at him.

"How do you know our names? Who are you?" Raine asked.

"I'm a creator choosen by the Dominion of Everything to protect it and all the other worlds and realms out there." The girl explained. "My name is Angel." She smiled. Raine couldn't believe it and pulled out the cell phone in her pocket belonging to Jaden. She slid it back in her pocket. Jiminy hopped up on Raine's shoulder.

"Then you may know what happened to-" Jiminy starte before being cut off.

"I believe you have more friends some where that need your help." Angel stated. She closed her eyes.

In her mind the tower in Tokyo was shown inside the tower Kain and Mickey with another man, Xemnos were fighting a bunch of heartless. She opened her eyes and smiled extending her hand a portal of light was made.

"After you guys." Angel stated. Raine grabbed Caliber's hand and walked through the portal. Soon Angel followed.


Raine stepped through and saw Kain and Mickey. She also saw Xemnos. Her mind instantly became angry but soon calmed down. She shook her head, whatever that was, was strange. He was in trouble. She summoned her keyblade and ran forward towards the heartless and such before they all disappeared. She was worried.

"Your majesty!" Jiminy stated. Raine looked up and saw the king and smiled. She was glad to see her teacher safe. She also saw Kain and waved to him.



Sora sighed.

'Maybei t be better off we spoke in person.' Sora stated to her. Malisa was quickly surrounded in light and appeared out side the cage that held Sora in. He was still chained to the wall. He looked up at her.

 

"Chained up? Tsk tsk." The sorceress chided Sora, her eyes beginning to glow. With a wave of her hand, the bars of the place were blasted into nothingess, and with another the shackles did the same. Malisa walked up to the keyblade bearer and put her hand on his shoulder, then the two were surrounded by a sphere of magical energy. When the sphere dissolved, Raine and the others could be seen in the distance.

"Funny, this should have put us right next to her." She grumbled, walking towards the motely crew.

 

"You do many things for love, but anger blinds you." Sora stated. Sora started forward and smiled looking at Raine but slowed down seeing Caliber. He shook his head and smiled.

'No, the puppetmaster's probably playing, I have to-' Sora started thinking to himself before he forgot what he was going to say.

"Your majesty! Caliber! Raine..." He yelled and fell to his knees happy to see his daughter though safe and sound.


Raine turned and saw her father.

"Dad!" She exclaimed happy to see him. He was older, but so was she. She ran up to him and hugged him. The last time they saw each other was 3 years ago. The hug wasn't any different, it was the same hug, it was as if she was 15 all over again. They stood there crying both happy to be reunited. Soon the hug broke apart. Raine looked up at Malisa and frowned. But smiled glad to see her again.

 

Presumptuous fool. Malisa seethed internally, hovering to catch up.

"This reunion is touching and all, but I have work to do." She told them with a glare. "Now, as I was saying a while ago, I have a way to make things back to the way they were. BEFORE everything was ruined. It involves you, Raine."

With a little magic, a hologram of Stonehenge appeared above her palm. "This Stonehenge thing is one of many focal points in existence. With it, I can achieve the impossible. Time travel, to be precise. I can send you back to fix everything. Make this destruction have never happened. With this, you can prevent Caliber from ever dying."

 

"Oh, but there is so much more that can be done with Stonehenge." Matthias spoke as he appeared near them. "This world was created as a seal." Matthias glanced up at Xemnos. "This traitor knows all about it. Stonehenge is the lock that seals this world. Through that lock, the answers to everything can be found. Once the lock is open, and I have gained access to that dimension, I shall become all knowing. Xemnos, you were wrong about one thing though. I have no intention of killing Jaden. I have.... Other plans for him." Matthias stabbed his sword into the ground. Chains burst out of the ground, binding everybody. "Your light will not break these chains. They are not made of the darkness you so valiantly fight. Puppeteer, you may come out now. You may turn whomever you want into your personal puppet." Matthias then focused on Caliber. "Now, you may bring me that sword that Raine holds."

 

"I did not get stronger just to be held back again!" Kain yelled. His hand was still gripped on his sword and altough he couldn't get a good strike on anyones chains he did come up with an idea. He flicked the sword up at his other side as hard as he could and managed to knock his shield off his arm. The sudden drop made the chains loosen and before they could retighten Kain jumped out of them. He quickly slashed the chains off everyone before turning to Matthias. "Everyone, I'm sorry for running before. But I'm not going to run now. Go to stonehenge and fix this. I'll hold off Matthias, we have unfinished business." Kain slowly picked his shield back up and stood at the ready as he glared at his fathers killer.

 

Matthias smirked. "I certainly hope that you've gotten better. Your father was a pushover. I could've killed him while sleeping." Matthias' sword dissapeared. "While fighting him I did learn his sword style." A copy of a Hylian Shield and the Master Sword appeared in his hands. "Can you live up to his legacy? But, just so they don't interrupt our fight..." A votex appeared inbetween Kain and Matthias. They were both sucked in.

They appeared at another dimmension. They looked like they were floating in air. "Welcome to my own personal dimension. No one shall interfere here. Before we fight, you should understand something. I have almost achieved immortality. I do not get tired from fighting, and I cannot die from a regular wound. I can tear out your soul from your body and end your pitiful life right then. My actual sword contains the power to rewrite the universe, Jaden's sword is the same. I have mastered countless forms of magic and I control my own personal demon. I tell you this so you understand your mistake, choosing to fight me. Now, we may fight."

Kain was shocked at the change. He actually expected Matthias to just ignore him and go after the others. Kain made sure to check himself quickly. He had his sword and shield, his bow and nine arrows, his new clawshot items, as well as his special item he picked up in his travels. Kain the closed his eyes and calmed himself before looking back to Matthias. "I'm not going to back down." Kain quickly ran in and began to slash at Matthias. As he did he also used his shield to try and bash Matthias back, basically attacking with both weapons.

 

Matthias jumped to the side and rolled around Kain. As he got behind Kain, he jumped up and hit Kain with the side of the sword, not cutting him at all. "Did Link ever teach you anything? This was a basic move of his. Matthias swung the sword in Kain's direction. A magic bolt shot out towards Kain. "Since I am only copying Link, I can do things that he couldn't do if injured." Matthias spun around, sending out a wave of magic energy with his Great Spin Attack. He jumped up, getting above Kain's head. "Finishing Strike." Matthias dropped down to Kain, pointing the sword at his head.

Kain stumbled when he was hit by the flat of Matthias' blade. He managed to get his shield up barely in time to stop the magic bolt and energy wave. As Matthias jumped up Kain knew what was coming and rolled off to the side. As he got back up he sighed and looked down. "You really are copying father. If that;s the case then fighting in that style is useless, he always beat me like that." Kain tossed his shield aside and pulled out a clawshot. "But I could beat father when i fought like this. If you're truly copying him then it stands to reason that this will beat you as well. So, lets see how much of a copycat you are!" Kain fired the clawshot onto Matthias' shield and with the press of a button began to retract the chain, causing him to come flying at Matthias with his sword aimed to stab him through the heart.

 

"Never attach yourself to an enemy." Matthias muttered. He swung his arm with the shield, pulling Kain's body along with it. He made the sword and shield dissapear, causing Kain to fly right by Matthias. "You're inventive. I'll give you that. Let's go for stage two." New weapons appeared in Matthias' hands. A longsword appeared in his right hand, and a shorter sword appeared in his left. He was holding the shorter sword backwards. "Haste." Matthias' body began moving faster. As he moved, his body appeared to leave images of him that quickly vanished. He moved in a diagonal patteren, getting closer to Kain.

 

"Heh, thought so. You're scared that I said I could beat father with that style so you changed." Kain tried to track with his eyes how Matthias was moving but barely could keep up. Too fast to watch. Damn... I never was good at that trick. Guess I have to try it though. Kain put the clawshot away and grasped his sword with both hands and held it in front of him. As he did he closed his eyes and became perfectly still. Don't think, it clouds your senses. Don't move, it changes your energies. Just feel, know the enemy before they know themselves. Act... Kain swung up his sword in an arc low around him. "To counter all!"
