The Death War (real rpg)

Suddenly an image of a video camera on top of a white mail envelope appeared on Triston's computer screen. The name read "K" so hurriedly Triston clicked on the "accept" button but covered up his camera so Kare wouldn't be able to see him. There was no way to know if Kare might be in trouble with Kira. Althought it was good to finally hear from her. It had been such a long time since they had talked and if she wasn't in any immediate danger it would be nice to catch up. Triston also opened up the voice augmentor and pulled his microphone close, "Hello?" The scrambled voice carried over the mic to Kare's ears.

 

"Hey hey~ You're looking as good as ever. You even seem a little more adult from the last time I saw you." He joked. The joke probably would have sounded better if it weren't for the scrambled voice he was using but he had to be cautious even with Kare. Without waiting for Kare to respond though he went right on, "I'm glad we could talk again though now I'm wishing the circumstances were different so we could talk about pleasent things.." He paused a moment before continuing, "What is it you need 'my' help with?" He asked her in a serious tone that was again lost in the mix of voices.

 

"Kira? Besides his sudden reappearence not much else. L didn't keep me up-to-date with the Kira case when he was dealing with it. When the Kira killings stopped I thought L had won. I guessed wrong it looks like." Triston pulled out a pen from the holder that was to the left of his computer and was ready to write, "Just tell me where you're staying at and I'll get there A.S.A.P."

 

Kyle sat in his room, within his mansion. He held a knife in his hand. He watched as the sharp steel shined in the light. Thoughts rushed through his heads about the boy he had encountered at the park earlier. "If I knew his name," he muttered under his breath. "He would be dead by now. Although, who needs a Death Note when you have sources?" He slowly walked out of the room, hiding the knife in his pocket.

He walked outside for a while when he saw that a new movie was out that day. "I........need a date," he said.

 

"H-Hey!" Triston exclaimed when Kare hung up unexpectedly, "Damn that girl.." Shutting off his mic and exiting the video mail, Triston then removed the cloth he had used to cover up the camera on his computer, "The five star Holiday Hotel? You'd think she'd have been more specific.." With a sigh Triston executed a program that allowed him to track IP addresses. To his astonishment the hotel Kare was at was in Japan! "Oh this is going to bust the Chief's wallet.." He groaned as he rose from his chair and headed out of his office.

 

Triston raked his hands through his short dark hair and sighed heavily. Not only had the Chief ripped him a new one, but the crazy old timer had approved of him going! So much for the amazing speech he had prepared to hand to the Chief in case he had said 'no'. "Chief can I go to Japan for the Kira case?"
"You crazy little bastard! Do you think this station is built of money? I want you outta my sights and in Japan in two days and if your not I'm firing you!"
"Crazy old coot.." Triston slouched and instead of pushing his door open with his hand he just kicked it slightly which allowed him to slip his hand through and grab his hat off of the rack. When his hand was out of the door way he shut the door with his free hand. There wasn't a need to shut down his computer as it'd automatically shut down when his key card was swiped upon exiting the building. And the janitor would take care of the lights. Now all he had to do was head home and pack. Just before he left the building though he snatched up a black scarf that would match his trench coat and wrapped it around the lower half of his face tight. He placed his cap on top of his head and thrusted a free hand into his coats inside chest pocket and pulled out a pair of circular shades. Never too careful.

 

Triston finally got to the airport and paid off the cab driver with his money. When he slammed the taxi's trunk shut the cab driver sped off not caring if he had gotten all of his luggage out of the car. Luckly though Triston had, and even luckier for him it seemed he would be flying on the only plan with the number thirteen! Today certainly was going well. If not for the security it would have been grand. The wig he wore over his head itched something fierce and he wished he didn't have to wear it, but since he couldn't wear his scarf over his face this would have to do. When he was finally allowed to board the plane everything seemed to be going well so he decided to kick it back and relax.

 

It looks like I'll be a while yet, so no rush. I'll text you when I land, but I need to shut off my phone for now. Airport policy and all. Later. Quickly Triston replied and then shut his phone down.

 

Dot had an idea to retrieve these items. "See, I don't always need your help Shiku" he taunted.
Tearing a piece of one of the pages of his Death Note, he taped it to his hand. Walking towards one of the stalls which conveniently had most of the items he needed, he pulled the arm of the owner allowing her to touch the piece of paper.
"What is it little boy?" she asked politely, but before Dot could answer back, she saw Shiku making her tremble. "What is that!" she screamed. The woman at the stall ran off appearing crazy to others around her.
Dot proceeded taking things that he needed and wanted without no one noticing as they were all distracted by the screaming woman. By the time he got everything, everyone was still looking into the distance at the woman.
"Hey Dot, did you get her name?" Shiku asked
Dot nodded with a small nod and wrote something in his Death Note. That woman fell to the ground quickly dying. Everyone around was terrified but thought it was a heart attack from fright judging from her screaming. "Let's go back now, I think I've had enough fun for today" whispered Dot.

 

After the planes excruciating-hours-on-end ride, Triston was finally glad to be on the ground again. The security was just as tight as ever, and he tried to make sure his disguise didn't fall apart.

 

It was getting late and Dot was lost, he couldn't go back home the way he went out since the alley's were blocked off by the Police investigating the dead people lying around. "Shiku, what should I do?" he asked.

"Find a new house, a bigger and better one!" She laughed.
