    Alex sighed. "No Will, actually I was talking about a different one, but if we could do that one as well we would have a great show." Alex smiled as Brandon pulled out his cell phone. The look on his friends face change his mood.

    "Shit what is it? Dan's Grandmother died? Florida? To hell with it..." Alex repeated the statements. "Well what are we going to do now? without a drummer we don't sound the same."

    Will shook his head. There was the new kid he talked to on the bus in the mornings. He could keep a good beat and knew alot of songs. "I might have a person. That kid Aaron on my bus." He said.

    " I know man we really need to find a replcement" Brandon said shutting his car door and walking up to the front door of Mcdonalds.

    "ohh by the way we are opening for Protest the hero and Rise Against so we need a drumer if we are to open for two amazing bands, we cant sound like a bunch of amatures" Brandon stated

    Brandon couldnt stress this enough cause he knew without a drumer there show would be horrible. Brandon walked up to the counter adn ordered his meal and went and found a table to sit at. As Brandon was sitting there his phone rang again Brandon awnsered it was his mom.

    "alright mom see ya later" Brandon replied to his mom

    Will ordered his usual double quarter pounder with cheese, no onions, and a large vanilla shake and sat down. "Man, I'll see what I can do." He said to Brandon, munching on some fries.

    Alex ordered a #6 a Strawberry Milkshake and a Big Mac with no onions and sat down then began to chomp away. He paused as he gnawed his way to his Big Mac. "What?" He looked up innocently. "I told you I was hungry..." He took a few minutes to finish it off still having some fries and a shake left over.

    "So what if we don't have a drummer? Are we hust goin gto go up there and do the best we can?" He asked after swallowing remnants of a fry. he then revisited Brandons cell phone conversation. "Everything cool with your mom and everything Brandon? I'm just wonderign is all." he implied.

    Will suddenly felt very stupid. "Dudes, you guys remember my cousin Tommy, right? The one that's in marching band, captain of the drumline? He's been doing drums as long as I've been on guitar and he's our age." He said.

    Alex swalleowed a fry whole when he heard the words drumline. "Drumline? This isn't Band Camp Will this is serious stuff." He grined, unfortuanately for his friends Alex wasn't very tactful about anything. "I mean I guess we could give it a shot it's better then nothing I guess." He continued munching on his fries.

    He slurped up some of the shake then retained the conversation. "So if your coudin is any good, are you sure he'll be able to play?" Alex asked inquisitively. "If he can't make it then theres not a point in adding him to the band even if only temporarily." Alex stood up and walked over to the trash can dumping the trash from his tray and placing on top of it. He then stood next to his chair continuing to try and drink the thick milkshake.

    Will looked at him. "Think, he's been playing on a drumset since he was 5. Same as I have with guitar, he joined drumline just to upshow the seniors." He said. "But he loved the marching band, playing loud." He said.

    Brandon turned his head to face his friends

    "hey guys it was my mom she was just calling to tell me that my new bass came in today" Brandon replied with a joyious tone in his voice. Then he asked Will what he just said because all the years of loud music Brandon could appear to be def at times


    "so Will who are we asking to be our new drumer adn why" Brandon asked with a curious tone

    Will smiled. "Brandon I know you know my cousin Tommy. He's been playing on a drumset since he was five, same as me with guitar and he's really good." He said, biting into his burger since his fries were gone.

    Alex finished his food then turned to Will interupting their conversation.. "whatever, invite him to practice tonight, and we'll see how he does." He stood up and pushe din his chair signaling that he was ready to leave.

    "Just in case we should find someone else to invite I mean just so we have a better chance of having a drummer." Alex sighed out of boredom standing next to his chair and he began to walk slowly back and forth, something he did when he was bored or nervous.

    Will flipped his phone open, dailing a number. "Yo Tommy, yeah my band's got a gig and we need a drummer. Dude, are you serious? You got a OCD Travis Barker special edition set! No way man, that's too expensive! Dang, uncle John got a new law firm opened too? Wow, a lots been happening. Anyway, you wanna play the gig? Ok be at my house today in a half an hour, you can stay there until the gig. Fine, bring the kit..." He said, shutting the phone. "He's on his way now." He said.

    Brandon stood up pushing in his chair he then picked up his Dr. Pepper. Brandon turned around walking out to his car.

    "Alright So I guess we will see how Tommy doen tonight in my garage" Brandon said he then took another sip of DP getting to the car

    Will nodded and got in nas well. "Ok, he has a Travis Barker OCD Special edition kit and he wants to use that at the show and practices." He said. Tommy had packed the kit into his car and started it, swigging a mountain dew.

    Alex followed them out into the car, he was a bit slower from all of the food. "He had just better be damn well amzing." Alex retorted as he sat down in the car. "So have we decided what songs we're going to open with, any of our own?" He asked as he took a deep breath.

    "yeah that sounds good, and hey er even might get a record deal" Brandon said with great joy for he didnt want to work a deadend job all his life like his mom and dad did.
