The Black Swan

Odette was really tired from flying so long as she knew the others must be as well. She was sure Odile meant that after they were human to help forage for food which is something Odette would have done anyway she didn't trust Odile to do it besides she wasn't one to sit around while one did all the work wether or not she didnt like her. She was silent as she looked up at the sun dropping from the sky. Soon she would be human and she could examine her surroundings and where she would be staying for the next month or so.

*sorry we had to skip the rest of the journey because it was just taking too long for us to get there. We're at the end of the Swan's journey and they are camped near a river in the forest near the kingdom. Rothbart still doesn't stay with them and only comes to check on Odile and the swans once durring the day.*

 

Odette suddenlloy heard a movement from the bushes just outside the clearing. She could see the sun going down but she also saw the arrowhead suddenly come out of the treeds and pointing straing at Adelaide. She didn't have time to wait for them to become human so she flew at the hunter and knocked him to the ground. It was there that she felt the sorcers magic take effect on her as she turned back into a human girl sitting on the hunter like she had just tackled him tot he ground holding his bow in one hand and his arrow on the ground. She didn't care that she had just trasnsformed infront of a human she was too mad at him to care "Sir! What gives you the right to trespass onto this land with this thing!" she tossed the bow awway.

 

Odette ignored his handd and stood up herself. She knew it was all a musunderstanding and she realized she had just transformed in front of a regular human. THe other women were also transforming into their human selves behind her as the moonlight touched their wings. She sighed "No I am sorry. It seems that we are the trespassers here." she said appologetically. "Its just that I dont exactly know where here is."

 

Odette nodded she looked behind her as the other princesses watched her and Seigfried. She suddenly understood why. This man who had just nearly killed her was the one who was to break the spell. She couldn't believe how low the sorcerer had sunk to make her have to try to break the spell with this hunter that didn't seem to care much about anything but hiimself. If she didn't know any betterr she would say he was a prince. "Farruin..." she said thoughtfully "I dont believe I have heard of it before."

 

Odette looked embarassed, so stupid to have forgotten to introduce herself "My name is Odette." she said more politely then when she tackled him. "And you sir?" she said with kind of a rough curtsey. She hadn't had to curtsey in a while so she accidently stumbled but she managed to catch her self and standupp again.

 

Odette was taken aback, she recognized the name. She nodded "The feeling is mutial I assure you sir." she said with annother clumsy curtsey more graceful then the last though. She couldn't help but laugh a little at her own clumsieness though.

 

Odette wasn't sure how to answer that question. She wasn't allowed to tell about the curse or the sorcerer or else the bargen would be broken and she and the others would be in Rothbart's control forever but yet she had to answer him... she sighed and spun a strand of silver hair around her finger "Why exactly would a stranger in the woods want to know for?" she finally responded, answering his question with one of her own.
