The Black Swan

Will went to his horse and drew a longbow and a qwiver, keeping his sword and shield. "I'm ready, when do we leave?"

 

Rothbart transformed into a bird and started flying back to his caste. He didn't take the time to transport until he was sure that he wouldn't be seen doing it.

Seigfried grinned and ran to the stables where he ordered his and Benno's horses to be brought out. He also ordered a spare for Will. He insisted to sattle his own horse instead of waiting for one of the stable hands to do it. They always took to long. He waited for Will and Benno to meet him.

 

Benno was right behind him.He too saddled his own as he didnt want to wait.He had just mounted his horse."Come on Will,dont want to wait till dark to start do we!"

 

Seigfried only laughed "I don't know. Where is your sence of adventure Benno? Hunting in the dark may be fun." he laughed and looked at the sky.

 

"It may be,but I have been having a bad feeling latly.It may be best not to go out in the dark for now.It could just be me though Seigfried."

 

Seigfried just shrugged "I don't know Benno. I think you're just going all superstitious on us." he laughed and punched Benno on the arm playfully. "Just keep it to yourself when you start seeing ghosts ok? We don't need to start scaring the people." he laughed again.

 

"Hmph.Fine then.Just don't fall off your horse this time."He replied while chuckling.It wasnt really his fault,but it wasnt an everyday thing when Seigfried fell off his horse.

 

Will rode up, steering the horse with his legs and bow rady with an arrow.

 

Will stopped the horse. "You guys ready?" He asked.

 

Odile looked at Odette and her group.

"You girls done talking." She said to herself. She looked and saw her father flying in.

 

Rothbart flew in and landed next to Odile as he transformed back human and the girls transformed into swans. He looked over the flock for a moment without speaking before he turned to Odile "It seems that we are to fly tonight. We will leave within the hour, be sure that you and the swans are prepared." he walked away without annother word.

 

>Umm Will was talking to Seigfried...<

 

Odile nodded and walked down to the water.

"I hope you ladies are ready." Odile said. She headed back up to the castle.

 

Rothbart walked back outside after all of the women were transformed to swans again. He looked at Odile "Let this trip be a lesson to you. Every stop we take will be your resposability to keep these women rested and safe until we take off again. They will sleep durring the day when they are human and it is up to you to keep them safe." he told her in his rough emotionless voice.

Seigfried nodded, "Yes, if you two are then let us be off." he said with a broad smile. He was excited to get away from the kingdom and go hunting. He hated being around his mother the queen.

 

Will grinned. "I am ready, let us go." He said, putting his bow into it's sling. He knew Seigfried's mother never liked him. "What shall we hunt today?" He asked.

 

Odile nodded.

"Yes of coarse. Will you be joining on the trip?" Odile asked her father. She looked up at him. She waited for his answer. She kept glancing back down to the pond. She felt alot of responcibility from all of this. She knew how stuborn the swan/ women were, she only hope they wouldn't cause trouble.

 

Benno was staying silent for then.He knew how much aminosity there was between Seigfried and his mother.The queen also didnt like him or Will that much either,though this was usually shown by ignoring them.He then shook his thoughts from that and readied his crossbow.The hunt always calmed the three of them down and gave Seigfried some much needed time away from the kingdom,so it was always a pl;easnt trip.
