Stranded - Rated T for safety

Hope had stood up. She had her katanas. She was going to fight, she had power and courage now. Rick flew down to himself, well his corpse...

He brushed the corpse with his ghostly essence. He wiped the blood from it. He drew out the arrow, though he could not fix the ankle for he did not wish to set the bone wrong. He healed the gaping hole through his cheek that came out the back of his neck. He made the corpse look well, then observed Hope.

>Gotta go for tonight. Try not to do too much without us!<

 

*What happened?*

Tom hid in the shadows, ready to help Hope if things got too bad. He couldn't believe what happened to Jesse though, and still doesn't think that this is all real.

 

Kyuu thought she had no reason to live anymore when she thought about whole place, the situation, Rick, Jesse... She was thinking it doesn't matter if she dies too. Suddenly she felt a little stronger, thanks to Rick. She remembered the friends which she still had. She was still crying, she didn't want to believe what happened to Jesse. However, she walked slowly and gasping next to Hope.

"We must avenge..." she said and sobed. "We can never forgive this..." she was in tears.
"Right, Hope? Let's show them."

She took her scythe and looked at the group. All she wanted was avenge for Jesse and Rick. Especially Jesse. But she didn't know was she strong enough.

 

Rick had a great shock. As he cleared his body up, he noticed something, a faint movement.

His body was breathing.

He was amazed. He didn't have any idea that could happen! He drifted back toward his body. He checked. Yes it was definately his chest rising and falling! He prayed this would work...

Placing his hands on his chest, he didn't really know what he was doing. But it worked. He felt himself seeping back into.... well himself!

Next thing he knew he was on the ground, an ugly scar running across his face where he had healed the huge wound that Torii had caused. He had a pain in his left ankle, the broken one. But thee arrow was out and the other leg was working fine. He stood shakily, hardly believing he lived again. He had that same holy power in him as well now. He must have brought it back with him.

Rick drew an arrow out of his quiver, and to his surprise found it was actually a small spear. It shouldn't have been able to fit inside the quiver....

He didn't care. It was made of some pure white material, and the metal on the end was ornate and made of platinum. He stood next to Hope and Kyuu. He placed his hands on their shoulders briefly. He didn't know what their reaction would be. They had seen him dead moments before.

Despite his ankle he found he could move almost fine. He brought his spear up and prepared for a battle with the strangers.

 

Kyuu had never felt that confused. She gasped, didn't know what to think. She forgot about the enemies and all her notice was on Rick.

"What the.." she whispered. She couldn't believe her eyes. It cannot be Rick. He died... Or did he? Smile grew on her face.

"Rick!" she only said and started to cry again. "You.. you're alive.. How's it possible?" she said confused but happy.

"I don't know. When Torii smashed that... that was me. Or at least part of me. But you realise this means Jesse might come back as well." Rick smiled. Quickly and suddenly, he notched an arrow, and let it fly at Xehanort. He hadn't been expecting it clearly, and he only just managed to stop it in midair. He sent it flying towards Kyuu 3 times faster than Rick had fired it. Rick reached out and grabbed it in midair, leisurely. He looked up at the leader, pure blinding rage burning in his eyes.

His ankle didn't hurt. He didn't feel the pain or it anymore. He had seen death, and he had run faster than him.

"This is it. We must get away." he whispered. "I think I can carry Jesse and Torii. I don't want to leave either of them. Torii might be a useful source of information. Can you two keep them off me? Just say those numbers, the effect is weakening but it works." Suddenly he shouted "6,1, 20, 1, 12, 5, 18,18,15,18!" The effect was far less dramatic than before. They all fell back a few metres and took time standing again, but no smashing into buildings.

Rick ran over to Jesse, and hoisted him in a firemans lift. He coudn't hear of feel breathing but he didn't want to say that. He walked over to the crater where he had slammed Torii. He nudged her with his foot. She was still alive. He had kept her alive somehow.....

He picked her up. He was jogging with them on his shoulders quite easily. His fear was that once this adrenaline or whatever it was ran out, he would have near no strength left.

He found his way was blocked by the girl who had torn Jesse's face up. She didn't seem to have any such powers as the rest, but he felt more wary. She was talking. Her voice was slow, melodical.

"Put them down, Rick. Leave them here. They are ours not yours." Rick couldn't help himself. He felt his arms lowering from hoistering them up. He dropped them onto the ground then shook his head and took his spear out, He pointed it at the girl and she spoke again.
"No, no don't hurt me. Put your weapons down as well. Then kneel at my feet." Once again he couldn't help it. He dropped his weapons and was walking towards the girl. You wanted to obey that voice. NO! He didn't! But he did.....

"Help!" Rick said but he could only just whisper it.

 

Kyuu was still confused.

"O-okay.." she said. "Whoa, you look like more strong now." she smiled and thought about if Jesse could come back.

"6,1, 20, 1, 12, 5, 18,18,15,18!" she shouted.

"Okay, go and get them." she whispered to Rick.

Kyuu shouted the numbers again. Then she started to looking around, searching how Rick was doing. She noticed him and the girl.

"Rick!" she yelled. "What's wrong? Take your weapons and kill her!"

 

Kyuu's voice could barely be heard. He could only hear the girls voice. He had to obey, it was what he'd always wanted to do. His strength seeped out of him. His will broke.

"Those people are not your friends. They brought you here to kill you. We are here to save you." said the girl. She placed her hand on his shoulder and smiled at him, in a comforting way. "That girl you hurt was trying to save you as well. You shouldn't have have hurt her. Now, help us win Rick." Rick took his spear and turned to face Kyuu, a distant look on his face.

"Of course mistress." He smiled an evil smile. No this was Kyuu! Kyuu the traitor, the deceiver. No! Kyuu his friend. But she and all the others had betrayed him! They were going to kill him!

He laughed, kicked Jesse's body, then ran toward Kyuu.
