Alex Rife

Alex went and sat down in his desk. The Tech teacher was surprised. "Mr. Laive. Nice to see you again." The teacher walked over to Alex's desk and hunched over him. "You may excell in this. But you will never, ever, live up to what I want." Mr. Laive had taught at Alex's old school. He hated Alex, and Alex hated him back. He knew he was trying to try and intimidate Alex, but it wasnt working. Which was hard thing to do, as Mr. Laive looked tough enough to be general of Soviet Russia. Alex was sure he was, spying on the kids here, but nobody believed him. He tapped his pencil repeatedly on Alex's desk and stood up. "You will be programming an iOS game. You may publish it but the fees will come from your funds. Begin."

Alex sighed. He only had until next class to make a game. He got it. He made the four different characters, Nyan Cat in blue, yellow, red and green, then the original as an unlockable for 99 cents. Then, he made a small rectangular area that you would move in. It was the classic game of Tron Light Cycles, but Nyan Cat version. He finished with a few minutes left. Now for the presentation. He presented it to the teacher. He walked away saying nothing. That could mean anything.

 

Ryker was happy that she was being so down to earth with him. No girl ever since his dad became famous has treated him like that before. It was time to be honest with her.
"I wanted to get out of the limelight. I was in a film called Kingdom Hearts and no one has left me alone since. Texas seemed to be the most far out of reach place from California"
The child actor grabbed a bottle of water and drank a sip.
"My name is Ryker Wakeford" he told her, looking from side to side, trying to find a photographer or someone spying. He then looked at her, in the eyes, trying to reassure her about being in a new school.
"And about finding mean kids, I'll look after you. We'll be friends"

 

Alice looked at Ryker a little surprised, but not entirely surprised since she didn't really know how to react to the situation. I'm talking with a famous child actor? Huh, this is one hell of a first day of school. Alice thought to herself as she finished the rest of her apple.
"I hate to break this to you Ryker, but I have no idea who you are. I mean celebrity-wise since I stopped trying to stick with the latest trends and news," Audri whispered so no one else around them could hear as she turned around and tossed her apple into the nearby trashcan.
As the apple landed in, Alice turned back to Ryker with a smile on her face as he talked about looking out for her. "T-thank Ryker, I think I'll like being friends w-with you," She said looking down with a tinted blush crossing her face before she pulled her class schedule out from her bag again and looked up at him with a smile on her face, "So, do you know what your classes are yet? Or better yet, are you staying in the dorms this year?"

Ryker smiled.
"I'm actually glad that you don't know me"
Then, as he turned to see the apple fall intoi the trash can, he saw the faint glimmer of a red tinge to her face in the corner of his eye. He blushed too in response but then snapped out of it. Then he noticed how she was stuttering in her sentences. Very strange, he thought. In that span of time, Alice asked him a question and he barely caught the tone of her voice.
"Yeah, I think I have a dorm room. My godfather wants me to live in a dorm because he wants me to have a normal life like Prince William did in college. My dad right now is in California shooting a new flick."
He then ripped through his bag and grabbed his timetable, torn and folded.
"I have all the basic classes and then I have Drama and Film and TV. Nothing much, really. How about you?"

 

"Oh, well I'm actually new," Jordan replied. He noticed the wind had brushed some of her hair over her right eye, making him actually take notice to her, now what seemed bright, blue eyes and makeup. He looked away for a second so it didn't seem like he was staring, and cleared his throat before speaking again, "Um, you, uh, have pretty eyes, haha......" He quickly thought to himself, 'Idiot! You just met the girl and you're flirting? Jesus......'

 

Jordan turned a little red as well, and lowered his down a bit while laughing. He brushed his hair down some so his eyes were just barely visible, as he usually liked it. "Thanks for that. And yeah, a bit of direction would be useful," Jordan replied. "I'm actully looking for.......well just about everything I guess, haha." He looked up at her and saw her cheeks turn a bright red and laughed before asking, "So, am I doing that or are you thinking of something or someone else?"

 

Jordan was a bit taken back and smiled at her and replied, "Well then, we'll be seeing a bit more of each other, huh? I got English too." He pulled out a peice of paper from his pocket that was folded about four times and unfolded it to reveal his schedule. He chuckled hesitantly and continued, saying, "If we only have 30 minutes, I guess we should start to go, huh?" When he finished the last sentence he moved in a bit close to her, as if taunting her before smiling and backing awaya little bit.

Alex found Jess talking with Jordan. "Hey Jess." He looked at Jordan. "... Eh, Hi. So, you got english next, right?" He said, ignoring Jordan.

 

Alice looked at the schedule seeing how the piece of paper was almost torn to shreds. "Huh, I really didn't check if I got the classes I wanted. Give me a second," Alice said as she looked down at her schedule trying to figure out what she has for classes.

"Um, it looks like that I have Math, Gym, and English. How boring those two soun- Oh, looks like I have Drama! Let's see, my other two classes is some type of private music class, and a free period. Huh, I guess my parents probably suggested that to the school. I'm thinking of maybe being a teacher's aide, but then again, I could go and work on my bizarre designs and clothing ideas again," Alice said as she put her schedule back into her bag as she thought on how she has English first.
Man, why do we have to learn how to speak and write properly? Man, what a pain that class is going to be, Alice thought to herself as she snapped herself back remembering that Ryker with her still, so she couldn't zone out as much like she would when she had no friends at the last few schools.

"Just out of curiosity, what are you going to do once people from our school know that you're a student here? I mean, it's going to get out eventually, and you can't be hiding forever," Alice said as she looked up at Ryker trying to look into his eyes, but it was really hard without a hinted blush crossing her face since she actually found that this guy was nice for how he's been to her right now, and he was cute! She snapped out her thoughts as she put a hand over her mouth to force a cough out to cover her face as she spoke softly, "A-anyways, you wouldn't happen to know when class starts, would you Ryker?"

 

Jordan started to laugh at Jessica's stuttering. 'Haha, I'm getting somewhere with this,' he thought to hmself. "Yeah, I guess you could help me find my dorm, would be nice to get rid of these bags for a while," Jordan said, laughing at his own stupid joke. Jordan then looked to see another guy walking towards them. Even though he had previously ignored Jordan, Jordan responded by putting his hand out and said, "Name's Jordan, nice to meet you."

"Alex Rife. Sorry for not listening, I just wanted to know if Jess had English next." He said, shaking Jordans hand.
"Woah, uh Jess, yeah just asking? I was in a slight hurry." He wasnt scared of her look though. He hadnt been scared of that since she gave it to him in fourth grade. "Yeah, the dorms around that number should be to the right." Sure, he liked that Jordan kid, but he was getting a bit too close to Jess.

 

'Feisty one.....I think I can take her.....maybe,' he thought to himself. He smiled at the newcomer then looked at Jess and said, "Uh I think it's....hold on." To reassure himself, Jordan checked his schedule which had his dorm number on it. He scouted it until he found it and said aloud, "Uh, it is dorm number '107'." He looked back at the new guy to get a good look at him. 'Hope he isn't going to be 'that guy' who get's in the way of things.......though that would add to the excitement of a new environment,' he thought.

Alex watched as the two walked away. "See, you in English. I guess." He said. He walked to his locker and put his Mac and his PC in there. He grabbed his english book and walked to the lunchroom to grab a small bag of chips. After finishing them, he started walking towards the english room. When he sat down in his desk, he played Nyan Cycle to pass the time.

 

Jordan smiled at her interesting yet slightly nerdy fact of the school. "Thanks for the fun fact of the day Jess. Since my room used to be your room, maybe you could give me a more detailed tour of the room sometime," Jordan finished the last statement off with a slight wink before picking up all of his bags and beginning to move. He had brought five bags with him, even though he knew himself that he did not need all of those bags. One of his bags had clothes in it but beneath it he had three pocket sized knives in case he needed them, while the rest were clothes. He made sure the one he had his knioves in he held closest to him.

 

Ryker placed his cap further down his head and looked around, trying to find some eager faces amongst the crowds flooding into the school.
"I know it will get out one day but for now, I want to meet people and find a group I can trust. I have you so I'm off to a good start"
The boy then looked at Alice directly in the eyes, seeing the red glimmer of her blushing as she hushed out the question of about when school began.
"Time is a virtue. Let's enjoy the time we have and cherish it" he told her, smiling.
"Smooth talking asshole" someone murmured from behind him. Ryker turned red afterwards. Was it that obvious now that an onlooker can see what's happening?
