Sotw 1 [Voting]

I'll tell you what were not going to have, is another pointless argument about whos right and whos wrong. Though i will say i agree with d about something are you a artist or a crybaby its quite frankly the truth. i know this better than anyone because of the extensive Graphic background i come from. If you cant take the critique thats given to you about your work then its best you get out of the oven. Your either a artist or a crybaby its quite simple. Now to avoid childish banter i'm going to close this thread Lets try this again next week and i'm picking the theme and i wil be entering it. This will be very interesting indeed.

 

Old topic but whatever. I have a few things to point out:

Recently this argument caused PRODIIGY to get after everyone about how members fight with Mods. Thing is, had D been doing his job and done something because Sorabrawl actually broke a rule or something, it would have been wrong for him to freak. But he wasn't this was a competition and the playing feild should be equal. Sorabrawl had every right to speak up for himself when D flat out insulted him.

Granted, Sorabrawls tag very obviously lacks the skill that D's and Tophs have by miles. But do we not give the kid some credit for at least trying? Do you want more people to start participating in Graphics and less in RP or not? Maybe some constructive critisism instead of "This is a joke" would have been better.

Sorabrawl, you should have come straight to me or PRODIIGY or Toph about this. Starting silly little arguments isnt awesome. And you do have room for improvement. Sorry I cant give you any tips because Im still learning the ropes *photoshop is very confusing to me still haha* but do keep trying.

your activity levels are reletively the same. Your argument is invalid. *runs away back to some random RP to waste my life away*

I hope I havent offended anyone too greatly in this post I just think its about time that everyone grew a pair this is getting a bit rediculous. If your old enough to spell on a keyboard you should be mature enough to not start silly little arguments with people you dont even know. This is just a forum after all, nothing to really get too worked up about. Have a nice day all, and best of luck to all of you in SoTW 2.

 

Yes, we should give credit where it is due, and not try to discourage anyone from participating. God knows we need everyone we can get. Yet that shouldn't include giving someone a false sense of their talents by having their signature beat others that are obviously more skilled. This should be a competition based on skill, not on who you feel sorry for, or who your friends are. Not accusing anyone in particular of voting that way on this particular case, but in general.

Such arguments could be avoided somewhat if people would bother to add more to their posts than just the names of the people they're voting for, and include meaningful critique and give reasons why their vote swung that way.
