Solace of Nirvana

Vincent took note of the group through the window. As suspected, the two girls appear to have no combat knowledge whatsoever, whereas the male appears to be very prepared. I must take further precautions in order to eliminate them.

Flipping out a phone, he called the other keybladers. "I've located the other three darks on the City Of Dawn. The reports on all three are correct. I will attempt to associate them and attack when the moment is opportune."

He slipped the phone back into his pocket before exiting the diner, a frightened visage upon his face.

"What the heck just happened?" He asked, voice wavering. "Why is there a wall of ice?"

Vincent then 'noticed' the orb hovering past the new hole in the wall, and his eyes widened.

"Get down!" He cried, before tackling Gerik to the ground - and not a moment to soon. A torrent of flame surged forth towards where the man just was.

Kavi could see something moving in the darkness. And then two somethings. Possibly a third. It came to him as no surprise when a bright flash came. it wasn't any different than the treatment he was used to. This happened relatively often, though the light flashes were less often used in place of squid ink. And so, Kavi did what he always did. He fought on. The teen swooped low to the ground, grabbing a two handfuls of sand and throwing it in the direction he saw the flash came from. Unfortunately for his foes, it was Raiga preparing a lighting attack. Raiga stumble backwards into his comrades, knocking them all over onto the ground. Kavi stayed low to the ground and reached about, until he felt the 'snake' from earlier. He could still hear it sparking.

"Even here too, WHY?!" He shouted, throwing the device as hard as he could at this foes, then followed the wall outside with his hand. By the time he was outdoors, his sight had returned. And then he took off dashing. Kavi had no idea where he was going, nor did he care. Anywhere was better than back in that cave. But then, the ground gave way underneath him and swallowed him up. Literally.

 

OOC: as I know you know the rules, but seeing as I'd have to tell a different member when they break the rule, 6 lines, sorry

Emma looked over at the stranger and Gerik.

'A missle? First a wall of ice, and now a missle? We need to find Raven, this can't be good.' Emma thought to herself.

"Are the two of you ok?" Emma asked running up to help them both up.

"Maybe we should try and call our friend at the cathedral. Perhaps there's a phone book for the cathedral." Emma asked the other three.

"Since there seems to be missles out of the blue, aiming here for whatever reason, I think it be safer if we waited inside, and assure this guy's safety." Emma told them.

 

"Yeah, a bunch of teenagers save this man's life. Nothing strange about that." Gerik thought to Emma's comment, basically thinking about how she could've revealed them to be special. "Thanks for saving me." He spoke to Vincent as he stood up. He looked around. The ice wall was conveniently surrounding the diner, about five feet away from the walls. So he was able to step outside and look around. "There's gotta be something here that I can get past the wall with." He looked at the building. "Ah, perfect." He noticed what appeared to be a chimney or something sticking out of the rooftop. "Now if I could just get my weapon to wrap around it like a grappling hook. We could climb out to be above this wall."

"Get him before he gets away!" Zack shouted as he got up, the robotic snake just barely passing over his head. He ran out of the cave and looked both ways. Kavi wasn't anywhere around. "What the hell?" Zack grabbed the device to detect Kavi. "It says he's nearby. But where?"

 

Emma looked away and walked to the wall. She looked up at it, completely useless.

"I don't know what to do..." she stated before leaning against the ice wall but jumped forward quickly as a lot of steam rose up. Her entire back heated up.

She looked confused and laid her hand on the ice, the ice immediately turned to water on the impact of her hand.

"Ummmmmmm, question, I know body heat is high, but should my body heat melt ice this fast?" she asked confused as her hand created a five inch hole into the ice in the print of her hand.

 

The ice cracked outwards from the fingertips of the handprint until a section of the wall crumbled, barely missing Emma.

Vincent continued to observe the group as the events took place.
The girl asking the questions is definitely a contender mentally. Physically, though, I doubt she could stand a chance. Still, it never hurts to be careful. Her sister appears to be of similar mindedness. Presuming it is her sister of course. They do seem better acquainted. As for the man. . . He is a quiet thinker. I can see that much. And the final girl is obviously a dullard. But she has some sort of ability, to melt away my wall like that.

A look of astonishment appeared on Vincent's face.
"Wow, what'dja do to that wall to make it crumble like that?!" He asked with an amazed tone, cringing internally from the dull speech he resorted to using. Still, a simpleton is more easily accepted than an intelligent person. "Hey, where'd that firey orb thing go?"

Raiga peered over Zack's shoulder and looked at the device.
"Wait! The signal's fading! Aaaaaand gone! What-"
"Th' hell did you mess up this time, you walking lighter?"
"Oh, go eat a worm or something, Finch! The grown-ups are talking!"

OOC: I already lost the original version of this post because stuff. This one is of lower quality 'cuz I'm tired.

 

Emma shrugged.

"I don't know, I just went to lean on the wall!" Emma exclaimed startled by her hand melting a small bit of the wall. She was happy to see Raven come through. Emma looked at the others to see if they had an explanation. Emma shook her head dumbfounded.

"None of us are truly really sure, at least I don't think, or... we were in the restaurant talking to, ummm Gerik? Yeah, Gerik and had it not been for that man there we wouldn't have known about it I'm sure." Emma stated. "I think that's about right." She stated resting her hand on the struggle bat hanging around her waist.

 

"Might as well." Gerik answered. "At least until I find something better to pass the time with." Gerik wasn't sure if that last part was a lie or not. He still hadn't decided. "Although I'll probably be a lot closer to dying by traveling with them. This girl... Emma. It may be completely accidental, but she seems determined to reveal us. Melting this wall just by touching it. Dropping hints that we have power to protect people."

"Dammit." Zack cursed under his breath. He put his hand to his ear, activating the radio. "Zack to base. The dark dissapeared. We presume he left through a dark portal. Has anything activated on the radar? Another dark dot that wasn't there before?"

 

From the way she spoke to him, it was clear that this new woman had to be the one in charge - the one who assisted these fugitives earlier and against Raiga. And conveniently, she had placed herself in the perfect position for the little group to become an easy, one-shot target. Grinning internally, he summoned the four orbs to surround the group. Each one began shooting pillars of their associated element downwards, moving around the group in an accelerating circular motion. Vincent jumped outside of this just as the flame one began passing through, setting his pants on fire. He ended his jump with a roll, barely managing to stave off the flames. The scheming keyblader then looked at the group with a look of fear on his face as the orbs moved faster and closer around and near their targets.

There’s no escape! He thought as he put up his front. This was a glorious day indeed.


“Well, I’m going to the ship to go do. . . stuff. . . while you figure out if he escaped us. Probably outside your angry blast radius.” Raiga said, carefully shuffling away from the keyblader. He turned that into a sprint rather quickly, beelining for the gummi ship with Ghira inside.

“Psh! Rotten coward!” Finch growled. It was unclear whether she was talking about the dark or Raiga, however.

 

Zack was tempted to blast light at Raiga for the comment, but he refrained from doing so. He waited for the HQ to get back to him on the possible location of their target.

"I'm actually going to die here." Gerik thought to himself as the wind blew one of the orbs past him, it almost hitting him. "First a massive wall of ice appears. Now these orbs. And whichever one of these girls caused that burst of wind almost caused one of those orbs to hit me." Gerik pulled his weapon from his belt. "If I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die swinging." He loosened his grip near the blade, allowing the weapon to drop and give his weapon a few feet to move around with. He then swung the weapon like a fishing pole. The blade would either cut through one of the orbs or knock it away and cause it to shatter on the ground.

 

"Bloody hell, she's onto me." Vincent muttered, his acting stupid completely forgotten. "Damn, I just said that out loud, didn't I?" He rolled backwards into a standing position and leapt forward at Raven, summoning something that his opponents usually regretted.

His keyblade appeared, gleaming in the light as he lunged forward at Raven. Truth be told, this wasn't his attempt to harm her, as lunges are usually easily dodged. No, he was actually counting on her dodging prowess, because then he could take down the dark ones behind her, who are too poweful individually it seemed for the elemental orbs to do much at all. All four orbs immediately stopped what they were doing, freezing in midair as if they hadn't been moving at all, then moved together into one orb. This singular unit flew at Raven from behind, encasing itself in a sharp wheel of ice while stone coated the sides.

Drip.

Kavi woke in a cave, extending far forward. The cave was dark for a moment, but then the walls lit up. Small alcoves along the walls housed flames, illuminating the way forward. There was no way back. With a heavy sigh, Kavi set forward, as it was the only way he could go.

 

"Raven!" Emma shouted seeing the man and a keyblade. Light Knight. Emma quickly grabbed the struggle bat she had hanging on her side and ran forward with it, not that a plastic bat would do damage.

As she ran Emma felt liquid around her hand as she looked down and saw the struggle bat on fire, the hot plastic that would surely severly burn somebody did nothing to her. Emma threw the bat at the light knight in hopes that even just a little bit of the hot plastic would make contact with him and burn him.

Emma stopped and looked at the light knight. Unsure of what to do. She never had to fight a light knight, she's only done struggle battles.

 

"It really sucks, being attacked when these three don't know how to fight." Gerik thought as Vincent lunged at Raven. He noticed that as Raven was dodging, Vincent continued towards one of the other girls. "Son of a... If there was ever a time for us to leave, now would be fricken wonderful." Gerik swung his weapon at Vincent like a whip. The chain wrapped around Vincent's keyblade. Gerik pulled towards him, snatching the keyblade out of Vincent's hand before any of the girls got hit. "One girl melts stuff, another girl makes the wind blow. Don't really have time to find out what I can do. Damn lucky I can kinda fight."

Zack began walking towards the gummi ship. "We're heading to the City of Dawn to give Vincent support. Until this dark shows up on a radar again there is nothing else here for us to do."

 

Vincent smiled as he heard his sphere strike Raven, but then his forward arm began to feel hot. Very hot. So hot, in fact, that it was beginning to hurt immensely. By the time he had realized that a melting plastic bat was boiling his arm, his grip loosened on the keyblade and he paid for it by Gerik's little shenanigans. Casting off his trenchcoat, he gripped his arm in pain. That plastic had given him a second degree burn all over his good arm, and he was not happy for that. Resummoning the blade to his untrained left hand would only lead to his downfall, so he settled for arming himself with the sphere. Rolling away from the group as best he could navigate, he summoned his orb, which had looped around the girls after it was blown away. The magic-enhanced elemental weapon split into three, two orbs moving to his feet and the other to his good arm. The one he was holding in his hand he used to spray frost all over his burn while the two at his feet levitated him with a fire on his supporting foot while wind was on the leading foot.

"You have made me VERY angry!" He snarled, coating his burned arm in rock and using that as a makeshift buckler while he readied a new assault in his left.

"Yeah yeah, let's go make sure he duzzin' get his ass kicked," Finch grumbled, following Zack. They re-entered the gummi ship to find Raiga arguing with Ghira.

"What the hell do you mean you don't have your teleporter?" Raiga snarled at Ghira, who cooly replied, "Don't shout. As I just told you, the dark I fought took it. I'm not a very good fighter, you know. I'm a craftsman."
