    Vincent appeared in the City of Dawn in an alleyway through a portal, then stored the controller device in an inner pocket is his blue trenchcoat. Calmly, he exited the alley. While he did seem somewhat differently dressed, it wasn't by far something outlandish. Since the Keybladers never made public appearances, thankfully, nobody knew their identities. He slipped on a glove, connecting two wires from his sleeve to the bottom part of the glove. A compass-like object was in the palm, and immediately began to wobble in one particular direction, with slight nudgings towards another.

    "Perfect." He muttered, closing his fist so the device wasn't seen. Vincent began walking down the road, adjusting his glasses as he went.

    Raiga and Finch landed on Destiny Islands and exited the gummi ship onto the sandy beach. Raiga pulled out a communicator and began speaking into it.

    "Oy, Zack," He began, "We're here. Which end of kiddie island are you on?"

    "I never have, I saw it in a dream." Emma told them. She turned to see Raven and nodded slowly when she spoke. She looked at the other girls before watching Raven leave.

    "I wonder what happened seeing he's still sitting over there, it couldn't have been good ." Emma told them before looking back at the boy. "Do you want to go talk to him?" She asked them. Emma had a feeling she should go talk to him but she really wasn't sure.

    "Damn dark, destroying my machine." Zack cursed before Raiga and Finch landed.

    He looked around, seeing the gummi ship land a decent distance away. "It looks like I'm five hundred yards north of your position." He answered them, his hand touching the communicating device in his ear.

    "I have a power that comes from the earth..." Gerik thought to himself. "What the hell does that mean? Some kind of power given to me for being spiritual? That's gotta be a lie. I'm not a spiritual person." Gerik took a bite of his food. "Should I go with her? I mean, any additional protection would help since people are trying to kill me. But then again, I'm supposed to help save the world? That sounds a bit too much. At least too much for me to accomplish. But then again, if she's telling the truth, and I run away from it, what does that make me? Oh, you know 'Hey there's Gerik. You know, the one who turned his back on everybody to save his own skin.' Yeah, that'll go over really well."

    Angel frowned "I dont know. Raven said we could if we wanted. Maybe she meant that we were supposed to. I dont understand why she just left in a hurry like that. Was it something he said maybe?"

    Hope shook her head "I doubt it. She didn't really leave in a hurry. She just looked... like she needed space." she shrugged. "She's a confusing woman so far. Kinda nuts."

    Angel laughed "Sort of but who is sane?" she stood up "Well I'm going to go talk to him. You two comming?" she smiled "Its always fun to meet new friends, wether or not he is who we think he is."

    Raven walked across town, being sure to keep her hood up as she walked through the streets this time lest people in town were as observant as Gerik had been. Had they really made the cathedral Raven look so similar to her? She didn't know why, but that annoyed her somewhat. She entered the cathedral and, for the first time, really took the time to look at the stained glass image of herself and Voltair. The sight shocked her. It really was beautiful... and almost creepisly accurate. She looked around, wondering if the 'preist' that he spoke of was still here, and if it was the same one she remembered. Though she doubted it, it had been years since she had visited her home world. The chances that the old man was still alive was a far stretch of the imagination.

    "Awesome." Gerik thought sarcastically. "I guess Raven wasn't enough. Now it looks like one of her companions is coming over here to talk to me. Well, I suppose if I travel with them it wouldn't be too bad. Me, an immortal physical incarnation of the light, and three women who appear to be my age. Well, they don't look bad." Gerik chuckled a little at that final thought. "Let's see. What could she possibly want to talk about? Oh, I don't know. Hi, my name is such and such. As it turns out, I'm being hunted by the Light Knights like you are. Wanna be friends?"

    -------

    "I see the City of Dawn's lost daughter has returned." The priest spoke as he entered the hall and saw Raven. "If only the city's lost son would return as well. But I doubt he's gonna return anytime soon. At least not in this old man's lifetime. How have you been, Raven?"

    Well doesn't he look like a real ray of sunshine Angel thought to herself sarcastically as she walked over to the table where the boy whom she didn't know was sitting. She smiled apologetically at him. The first thing that came to her mind to say surprised even her "Sorry about that." she said, motioning off to where Raven had just left. "She doesn't always come off as the most friendly person on the planet but, so far, I believe she means well." she said with a small laugh.

    Raven smiled a bit too but she nodded "Actually thats exactly why I hoped to see you today old friend." she said as she walked farther into the cathedral to be more within ear range of the preist "You are one of the only people, besides me, who knows the truth about me and Voltair. I had hoped you would know more of..." she shook her head, deciding not to address it. He had already answered her question before she even asked it and she felt a bit foolish bringing it up anyway. At his question her smile returned "I've been well considering everything." she said "And you?"

    "Aw, don't worry about it." Gerik said. "I think I might've caused her to walk off though. I kinda insulted her boyfriend and then she left. So what's your story? Some random stranger appear at your house looking for you, Raven comes to save the day, and then introduces you to your two companions?"

    "Oh, just fine. Not too long ago I was actually explaning to this one young man your story. He seemed really into it, and was terribly misinformed at first. While he never outright stated it, his appearance and the things he said hinted to his life being in danger. About the possibility that some of Voltair's darkness may have escaped the Dark Realm and into ours." The priest sighed. "And if that is the case, then there is the risk of Voltair's seal breaking. Which will cause even worse horrors than anything the Light Knights have done. Speaking of Voltair, I've been trying to find a way to communicate with him."

    Angel looked a bit surprised at the mention of 'boyfriend'. "I didn't know she had one." Angel said, a bit embarassed. "Unless, of course, you mean the name 'Voltair' I've heard her say from time to time. I was beginning to think he might be an enemy though. She looked worried last time she suspected he was around and that was followed by a Light Knight attacking my friend over there." she pointed at Emma. "And yes, that is, more or less, my story." she smiled, a bit embarassed "I guess its pretty obvious. But I've met Raven before tonight. She saved my life... I think... years ago. I really do think she is trustworthy. And yours? Obviously you've had a pretty big day yourself." she said, feeling kind of dumb for pointing out the obvious.

    Raven nodded "Havent we all." she said kind of sarcastically. "It may just be that the years are finally taking their toll on my mind, but sometimes I think he might still be around, in his own way." she said thoughtfully. "Not... here... exactly. But in times of danger it sort of feels like he's here helping." she snapped out of it and laughed a little "But then, even when he was here, he was still pretty much impossible to find sometimes by most people." she pointed out, changing the subject. "By his seal being broken, do you mean to suggest that some of that shadow really has found its way back? And that it has taken part of those children?"

    "Yep. Raven is who I think she is." Gerik thought to himself. "As for myself, my day has been great. Someone breaks into my home to kill me. I fight him off. He gives me something to travel between worlds. I enter a race on one world, getting second place." As he brought up the race, he showed her the silver ring that he got as proof. "I then end up at a cathedral nearby, recieve a little history lesson, and then meet up with you guys. Wonderful day so far." There was a very slight hint of sarcasm with the last sentence. "Wow. Who knew the truth could sound so fake?"

    "It's a definite possibility." The priest answered. "You of all people must've felt it; the disruption in the balance of light and darkness. Due to the Light Knights, the balance isn't very balanced anymore. It seems reasonable that with the change here, the darkness has done what it always does. It came for the light. And, sad to say, this may be Voltair's fault as well. I don't think he wants anything more than to be with you. And since you're the light and he's the darkness, his emotions fuel the darkness' reach towards the light."

    "You mean that one not far from here?" Angel asked. She smiled "It's a pretty building. My friend Emma has a drawing of the art work on there. The Angel." she sighed "I guess I shouldnt be as facinated by all of this as I am. I have no idea what we've all gotten ourselves into.. or more like what has been forced on us...." all the sudden something dawned on her "Wait, you encountered a Night and it didn't kill you?" she said, surprised.

    Raven sighed "If that is the case than I am just as guilty as he is." she said "It's kind of a cruel joke of fate to keep shadow and light apart yet both needs the other... almost in order to survive." she smiled a bit. "Sad to say, maybe if its true then that Kid out there is right about us. As for the balance, it's constantly at motion but yes I did notice the major shift. It only makes sense that it clung to the kids. They needed to be a neutral party in order to obtain the elements. The elementals never do chose a side all nature does is keep the peace. A little tidbit I learned from the wind." she shrugged

    >I'm gonna go ahead and assume you meant Knight.<

    "Yep." Gerik said. He leaned back and smiled a bit. "I don't like to brag." He lied. "But I fought him off. With this weapon, actually." He set his weapon on the table. "Very difficult to use. I don't know how many times I've cut myself learning how to use it."

    "It was also a cruel and necessary joke to make you into the light and Voltair into the darkness." The priest said to Raven. "There are some things we can't control in our lives and would much rather make them go some other way. But they happen in our lives as a way to test us, I suppose. Sadly, life can't always go the way some one wants it to. In your case, you can only hope for the day the seal finally and properly wears off and Voltair returns to you."

    Emma looked over at Hope.

    "Well I guess we should go meet this guy that your sister is making friends with." Emma stated getting up and walking over putting her sketch book away. She stopped behind Angel.

    "You must be the kid like us, a real pleasure." Emma stated looking at the guy. She pushed her hair back behind her ears smiling.

    "I'm Emma, nice to sort of meet you under these circumstances." Emma stated extending her arm to shake hands.

    Angel looked surprised. She hadn't been expecting him to be carrying a weapon but as she looked it over she was pretty impressed. She had never seen anything like it before. She smiled, "Wow, yo..." she began to say when Emma and Hope showed up.

    "Nice to meetcha." Hope said as Emma was shaking hands. "I'm Hope. This weirdo's sister."

    With the introductions Angel realized that she had never properly introduced herself. She laughed a bit "Oh and 'this weirdo' is called Angel." She said "Sorry I should have introduced myself and my friends before starting a conversation huh. And what is your name?" She asked, sort of for the good of herself and Hope and Emma.

    "I hope you are right." She said to the preist. "But I know what happens to all worlds if the seal ever gets broken before the right time. We could have a problem most likely worse than the Knights to worry about." She knew that for a fact from her last real encounter with true darkness that nearly killed her and did succeed in killing many of her friends before their time. "I just can't help but wonder if the balance is best protected this way. Obviously too much light can be just as harmful as too much shadow hence the knights running around killing innocent children right now." She straightened up "And thinking of which, I have one more life to safe and time running out."

    "Got it!" Raiga replied back, then turned to Finch and ordered, "Well, you heard the man. Let's hurry!"

    "Keep yer panties on ya Dragony spaz!" The girl barked back at him, running to get a head start.

    Minutes later, they made it to where Zack was outside the cave. Raiga greeted him with a half-hearted salute.
    "So, uh, how are we doing this? Shoot first, ask questions later?"

    Vincent pushed his glasses back onto his nose, then glanced back at the compass in his glove. His dark hair shimmered in the sunlight as he contemplated the next few steps. Closing his hand in a fist once again, he thought, The compass is making more drastic changes with each step. It looks like I'm getting close.

    It was pointing him to what appeared to be an eating establishment of some sort. He made a beeline for it and entered, pausing to take hastened glance at the glove again. With a bare shadow smirk, he pushed his glasses back up his nose and turned towards a group of teenagers, one boy and three girls. This grin disappeared as he took a seat in the booth next to them and ordered some tea. After all, he didn't want to fight in such a small space. The mage took his glove off and shoved it into his pocket while he waited.

    >As I recall, Ghira was with Raiga.<

    "Well, as far as I can tell the only exit from this cave is right here. I wasn't able to observe the entire cave since the dark inside destroyed the remote camera. I did manage to get a good look at him. He has no weapons, save for a rock or something. He should be easy enough to bring down. I'll go in first and set off a light burst. While he's blinded, go in for the kill." Zack told Raiga and Finch.

    -----

    "It's alright." Gerik said, putting his weapon back on his belt. "I don't usually introduce myself to people I meet. Especially since the last few people I've met already seem to know me." He muttered the last part to himself. "Anyways, I'm Gerik. I guess it's nice to meet all of you, given these circumstances." He shook each of their hands.

    -----

    "Well then, I better not keep you." The priest told Raven. "Go on, get on out. Go save that last one. And hopefully bring Voltair with you next time you stop by."

    Hope smiled a bit "If it weren't for the circumstances none of us would have met at all, so I'll only say nice to meet you at all." she said.

    Angel shrugged "She makes a good point." she said, light-heartedly. She couldn't help but agree with Emma's and Gerik both saying 'under the circumstances'. Their situation was a bit weird. She spoke up, changing the subject "Well, Raven wanted us to meet her outside the Cathedral soon. We should go." she said this to Emma and Hope but then looked at Gerik "You know, I would like to hear more about what you were telling me before. Your weapon and how you trained with it. I've never heard anything like it but then, I dont know much at all about that sort of thing." she smiled "That is, if you have decided to come with us. If not, it was nice meeting you anyway."

    Raven smiled "You can count on me doing everything I can to make sure that happens. I have a feeling restoring the balance will at least bring me one step closer, but I have been wrong before." she waved to the preist in a friendly way "Until we meet again, friend." she said, before starting to exit the cathedral.

    "Awright! Let's get this over 'in a flash'!" Raiga joked, earning him both his teammates' disapproval.

    "Just stick to th' killin' people part." Finch groaned, facepalming hard enough that the contact of her hand with her face was audible. "Just. . . no."

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Vincent sipped his tea as he listened in on the conversation. Earl Grey, two lumps of sugar and a dash of cream. His favorite. From a bag on his back, four glassy orbs dropped out and to his side (wall side, not diner side). With his hand, he pushed the orbs all together and slipped the solitary combined sphere to the floor subtly. It rolled its way outside virtually undetected, as the glassy surface matched the color of the floor. Vincent grinned as it rolled outside.
    Moments later, a rumbling noise was heard from outside the diner. Vincent coughed for a moment, and began to put his acting skills to use. Looking out the window, he asked in a wavering voice, "What in the name of Zodiark is that?"
    The diner was surrounded by a round wall of ice at least ten feet tall on all sides.
    Raven heard a rumbling sound outside and was confused. "What on earth..." she muttered. City of Dawn wasn't exactly known to have many earth quakes or anything like it... in fact they never were. Suspicious, she gave the preist a final wave and then hurried on her way back outside, hoping that her charges hadn't caused any trouble, and more importantly that they weren't IN trouble.
    Angel and Hope both rushed to the window and saw the wall of Ice outside. Hope frowned "Is that normal to this world?" she asked, a little bit worried.
    Angel looked around, wondering if anyone else had seen it but she found that the rest of the diner was empty besides the one other customer who had asked what it was. He didn't look like a native so she decided not to ask him. Instead, she rushed outside to get a better look.
    "Angel wait!" Hope called after her. "What if it's dangerous?"
    "Angel!" Emma exclaimed following her outside, She slid to a stop literally.
    "What the heck?! It was like 70 degrees before!" Emma exclaimed. She looked around the ice wall.
    Emma quickly hurried bak inside over to Hope and Gerik. "We're surrounded by ice all around this place the wall is smooth, no climbing out of here. We need to try and get Raven, I think." Emma stated.
    "How strange is it that I'm not suprised that a Light Knight is probably the cause of this ice?" Gerik thought to himself, not even bothering to get out of his seat. Gerik calmly finished his drink, and then stood up. "Rather ingeneous of me to make sure I brought these." He walked over to the ice, grabbed Angel's hand and pulled her back a bit. "You might want to take a couple steps back." He then went up to the ice, moving his hand across it to feel for any imperfections on the surface. Nothing. "So much for having a nice little hole to put these in. Guess I'm gonna have to damage the ground as well." He muttered to himself. He reached down and grabbed one of the pouches hanging from his belt. He hadn't touched this one since he left to travel to different worlds. He opened it up and reached inside, pulling out several marble-sized objects. He layed them down on the ground where the ice sprouted up. He then walked back into the diner, set a table on its side and crouched behind it. "You guys might wanna get behind something." The objects he placed by the ice exploded.
    ------
    Zack quietly walked into the cave, clinging to the cave walls. He had the light energy ready in his hands. Once he was close enough he thrust his hand forward, shooting out the light. The light burst, completely illuminating the cave in a blindingly bright flash.
