    Emma nodded and quickly followed after the woman. She glanced back at the others wondering what all else needs discussed except maybe plan discussion on what to do next. She looked over at Hope and Angel.

    "So whats going through your minds you two have been awfully quiet."

    Both Angel and Hope shrugged. Angel spoke "It looks like we have no choice but to trust them." she said. "As long as we are here, the Knights will leave us alone and they know about these powers and why we have them."

    Hope nodded "As much as I hate to admit it, Angel is right." she agreed, looking back at Kavi, Gerik, and Mel "Are you three coming?"

    "Lets move!" the three students heard Star comand from the stairway.

    "Beats me." Gerik answered, still walking towards the group. "Wouldn't want to leave my wonderful tour guide alone though, even though she can just as easily reach you guys without me."

    -----

    "Sometimes it's better to do things in the heat of the moment. Especially if your plans never seem to work. Then it just gets annoying trying to plan things." Voltair spoke as he rested his chin on Raven's uninjured shoulder. "After all, trying to open a portal to the kids for you was a spur of the moment type of thing. And that's gotten you here, which is personally my preferred outcome. Even though it isn't preferred for everybody else." He sighed. "Is it okay? For me to be greedy like this and have you stay here, even though everybody else needs you more than I do."

    -----

    "Even though the Ark is going to destroy them, I wouldn't mind having a rematch with the darks." Zack spoke, still wearing some bandages over his injuries. "Preferably one without interruptions."

    "I'm just amazed how such a place can be built. . ." Kavi mumbled as he descended the stairs with the others. But once he got far enough in so that he could see what was below, he was shocked. An orb rested in the center of the room, huge and perfectly round, and both attracted and repulsed him all at once.

    "What. . . what in the world is that?!" The former Atlantican gasped, entirely dumbfounded at the existence of such a thing.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "It doesn't matter. When the Ark is finished, nothing they do can stop us. So having a match with them, provided you don't get yourself killed, would be fine, I think."
    "Wait, is that?!" Emma exclaimed looking at the orb before pulling out her sketch book and opening to a page where a broad room with a bright lot orb seemed to glow even on the page. To the side was written a small description.
    "The cornerstone of light, I thought it was just a legend!" Emma exclaimed looking at the orb in amazement before turning to look at Star.
    "That's unbelievable..."
    Raven thought for a moment "I don't really know anymore." she admitted. "Granted, I probably wont last as long here because the seal is supposed to keep darkness and light apart... is there anything more dark or light than the two of us. Eventually, I will fade back just like you do when you try to visit me in the realm that is currently only powered by light. There's really no option. It's only a matter of time, probably longer than is convenient for our friends in the light but shorter than we want." she reasoned "But then, I'm only guessing. You know more about these things than I do. But as for bringing me here when I'm needed elsewhere, I suppose I can only speak metaphorically. You cant see your shadow without the sunlight and you surely wouldn't know that light of there wasn't shadow to compare. Technically, one can not exist without the other. Doesn't it only seem fitting, then, that we are similar? Somewhere inside, you did need me me just as much and vise versa, partly because of what we are and the other half because of who we are, I couldn't exist without you. Which is why I'm here instead of Disney Castle. Even if its only for a little while."
    Mel laughed "Correct my friend. I could probably find my way through this castle faster than you could. But thank you for the vote of confidence." she was saying as the group followed Star down the stairway. She knew where they were by the sounds of everyone's reaction.
    Star smiled, "The red haired one is right. Welcome, kids, to the Hall of the Cornerstone." she was saying as the pathway at the top of the staircase began to close.
    Angel saw a figure standing just next to the stone then. This person was short and inhuman. Star noticed Angel noticing the small mouse like person and nodded and stood back, having finished her job.
    The person stepped forward "Hello children. My name is Mickey *shut up I know its not original xD* and I am the heir to the throne of Disney Castle. Raven, me, and Star spoke a lot about you kids and, though she and I did disagree some about your calling, I agreed to allow her to send you here because-"
    "-What calling?" Hope asked.
    Star glared "Mind your manners when speaking."
    "Sorry."
    "Because what?" Angel pressed.
    "Because you may be the only chance we have at stopping the Light Knights." the young King finished.
    *No its not King Mickey from the original games. Just a great grandson or something.
    "Cooooooooool... Gerik thought as he rolled his eyes. "Such an amazing place underneath the throne. Because something like this is clearly impossible to do, even though here it is." Gerik wasn't all that interested in this room. There wasn't anything special about it aside from the gigantic marble (Gerik's words) inside. After all, they were in a similar chamber about twenty minutes ago where they grabbed their weapons. "Can we just grab the last weapon and go?" Hearing Mickey's comment about their 'calling' bugged him. "I'm perfectly fine with the fact that we've got the strength to fight against these Light Knights. But I have issue with saying that it is our calling. We didn't have to be involved in this. The girls may want to go through with this, but unfortunately I still feel some doubts. And I wouldn't be surprised if our latest member tries running away again."
    -----
    "Of course I couldn't exist without you. Even without being the darkness I'd feel the same. Although I suppose the darkness just hastened that feeling. After all, would we be so open about our feelings right now if I had never accepted the darkness within me and taken this form?" Voltair asked Raven, referencing when he first gained his wings and powers over darkness and when Raven first spoke about how she loved him.
    -----
    "Fuuuuuun." Zack sighed. "And what do you plan to do now Vincent? Stay your hand and wait for the Ark to be finished? Or do you have some sort of desire for certain... Reparations for the damage they did to you?"
    "This room is legendary... however something doesn't seem to add up right..." Emma trailed off and looked over at King Mickey.
    "Nice to meet you, I'm Emma, that's Angel, Hope, Gerik, and the other one... I don't even think I got his name yet." Emma looked over at the water elemental.
    "I'm definately for it, as I was talking to Star about before. Though I do have a few questions, and just upon entering here a few more have popped into my mind. For one, I realized we obviously aren't completely dark, however we do have some darkness in ourselves, the cornerstone of light, is supposed to keep out all traces of darkness, how can we even be here?" Emma stated. Emma then looked over at Gerik.
    "What's so significant about us? Why do we have calling? I mean, I was just a shy, weak girl from Twilight Town, not some legendary hero, I don't have a whole lot of friends, I don't even know what true friendship is. Why on Earth was I called upon to wield..." Emma said extending her arm and in a firery blaze the staff was in her hand. "this weapon? Not only this but, I have magic powers over fire without never learning the spell for fire. I guess the big question to all of them is simple..." Emma looked around the room making eye contact with everybody in it before closing her eyes and sighing.
    "Why...?"
    OOC: Italics on a single word amidst a whole sentence is usually sarcasm or emphasis. Over a whole sentence is usually thoughts. THE MORE YOU KNOW *Rainbow*
    "Kavi."
    The ex-Atlantican coolly informed Emma of his name, simply leaning against a pillar. He holstered his chakram using a tie of string to hold them together and a small clip of metal to pin them to his pants, listening carefully to what the girl had to say before adding his own thoughts to the mix. The young man sighed before beginning, "I cannot lay claim to any knowledge of. . . anything, really. I'm a survivor, and that is all I have been. What that has to do with these-"
    Kavi took a pause to flick the metal blades of his two discuses, continuing, "-things, I cannot say. But what I do know is that they chose us. Because of the time being right, because of the circumstances, I do not know the answer. But they are burdening us with some duty, and at the very least we should find out what it is."
    He felt tired. It was the most he had ever said in one sitting, let alone in one day, and actually using his voice for more than warning and self-contemplation was an unfamiliar experience. But these people were good company, for the time being, so he figured it would suit the occasion more to actually try communication.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    "Zack, you know I'm the sort that likes to see things from the tallest tower!" Vincent cackled, pushing his glasses back up onto the bridge of his nose, twirling a coin between his fingers. "I'll be overseeing the final stages of construction myself. After it is finished, then I can join a little. . . sportive hunting, before the REAL festivities begin."

    His finger danced over the comms button in the middle table, starting with "Ghi-" when a nigh-instantaneous reply greeted, "Yes, sir?"
    "Wow, fast timing. I'll be down in a bit."

    Mel, who was now standing next to Star, was merely standing staring at the ground her eyes were closed. To any person she would almost appear to have fallen asleep standing up. As Gerik thought silently to himself, Mel seemed to have been amused by some insect on the ground that no one else could see, her eyes opened and a barely visible smile traced her lips. She looked straight to him, for only a brief moment as though she could actually see him though of course her blindness would cause that to be impossible. Her glance lasted only a moment before the other two Elementals began to speak. Their interested her and she listened quietly, not particularly looking at anything, her eyes half closed and her hair falling in her face.

    Star shrugged, "Just because you are not considered 'light' to the Knights does not mean you are dark."

    Mickey nodded "The line between light and darkness has been very much confused over the past years. Now a days it seems like more and more things can be considered dark to those who call themselves in charge even Raven herself, whom is the very personality of Light itself."

    "The world has been greatly corrupt without the darkness to balance the light. Even without shadows, bad people still exist and with no shadows to hide behind..." Mel started.

    "It seems only natural that instead they turn their attentions to the light and mask a lust for power with good intent to rid the world of darkness." Star added.

    "Those weapons chose you children because of the content of your hearts. You are the only four beings alive that are neutral to both Light and Darkness. This gives you an advantage that no one else has, a fighting chance against the Light Knights. That is why Raven set out to find you, thats why the weapons chose you." Mickey said.

    Star nodded "His Majesty is right. The Light Knights have changed the game and all their purge is truly about is power, and control. But they can not be stopped, because the darkness has no way to return and create an opposing force. If this is allowed to continue, only those deemed 'light' will survive and the ones to die first will be you, and all of these refugees. And once the light is all thats left, eventually it will burn out as well."

    Angel was silent, feeling the weight of all that had been said finally pulling on her as she realized why the elements were so important to these people.

    Mel took a breath and then spoke up "No one is saying any of you have to do anything. But we are saying, you are our only hope."

    ______________________________________________-

    Raven shrugged "I haven't a clue." she admitted "I like to think so but to be honest, both of us would have probably continued to be too stubborn to admit it to the other first. But if it really is the case, that it was because of that moment that we finally realized it, though it can be a massive headache not knowing if or when I'm going to see you again every hundred years or so and carrying the responsibility for the balance of light and darkness, I'm glad it happened. Because I would rather have never existed at all than gone through life without knowing for sure that I belong with you." she pointed out.

    >Okay, I just noticed that you've been switching her name between Meg and Mel. Which one is it?<

    "And here I thought that earth was the most steadfast and strong of the other elements. You prove to me that each person truly defines their own path in spite of what nature hands them. But is it not better to follow greatness rather than live blind to what you could achieve?"

    Gerik's eyes made contact with Mel's before he thought out a reply to the voice he heard in his head. "I want to be steadfast and strong. And noble and all those other things you said the earth is. Unfortunately I'm not any of those things at the moment. I'm insecure, I push people away, and I'm currently terrified that there are people out there who are trying to kill me. Yesterday I was living on my own without a care in the world. And now I'm essentially a fugitive with a few other people. My own self hatred will probably keep me going with them for a while, but don't you think it is understandable for somebody like me to be filled with doubts?"

    "Well now, all of this talk about elements is interesting and all, but I hope I'm not the only one forgetting something. We still missing one of these elements." Gerik motioned towards Angel and Hope, not really sure which one was supposed to wield the weapon they currently didn't have.

    "Also, what are your guy's plans? I don't know how long you all have been awake, but it has been a fairly eventful day for me. I'm kinda tired right now."

    -----------

    "Even if you belong to me, my heart still belongs to you alone." Voltair spoke. He tightened his grip on Raven and moved his wings in a way as to envelop the pair. "Your wounds have healed and I've been able to feel a warmth I haven't felt in a long time. I suppose it is almost time for you to leave here, no matter how much I don't want that. I love you and I don't want to let you go. Not now."

    -----------

    Zack had left the area and went to a training area. He had both keyblades in hand, was covered in sweat, and surrounded by people who were on the ground. "More." He ordered. "This isn't enough. I need more people to fight. To make up for any lack of skills that I have."

    Emma closed her eyes taking in everything. A balance of complete light and dark.

    "I couldn't even begin to imagine the past of that. Light AND dark, two opposites, thought to fight against each other, lie in our hearts." she nodded her head in content. She looked back at Angel and Hope.

    "So where can we find the last elemental weapon?"She asked she walked up to Mickey.

    "Also, what about Raven I think she's with the full dark person in the dark realm, if we're a balance would one of be able to get her maybe even her dark friend?" she asked hoping to get back the one that has been with them at the start and the one that saved her life.

    "I. . . believe I have an answer to that. . ." Kavi half-mumbled in response to Emma's weapon question. "Upstairs, there is a scythe. It did something much like mine did when I first found it, except it was wind and it forced me back. It might have been a defensive spell or of the similar sort."

    The ex-Atlantican was feeling more and more apprehensive about this place. Old instincts were giving rise to old fears. Not moving quickly enough. Not observing the others' movements enough. Too long staying in one place. It took all his willpower not to just bolt from that room from where he stood. Fidgeting ensued.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Aw, c'mon Zack! Am I not good enough for you?" Raiga cackled, strutting into the square and brandishing his serrated sword by balancing it on the palm of his hand. "Ever since Ghira fixed me up, I've just been itching to go! What do you say, kiddo? Friendly duel?"
    >Oh Geez. I hadn't noticed but I believe its Mel so we will stick with that.<
    Star shrugged "Raven brought the scythe here for safe keeping a long time ago and yes the kid is probably right. None of us have been able to go near it since she put it there. When asked what she did she would only smile. It got very frustrating. I had hoped that she would be here to remove the spell when you kids got here but apparently no such luck. We will just have to hope it will let he air elemental near it.
    Hope and Angel looked at each other. Hope spoke up "Do you not think that maybe there was no spell? Maybe it just values its personal space and is waiting for someone." she pointed out.
    Star laughed "Its a fair point. Why don't we go test your theory."
    Raven sighed, trying to think of anything left unsaid. They rarely had moments like these. "I love you too. And I'll see you again soon" she added.
    Emma nodded and looked back at Star.
    "That sounds like a good idea." she nodded her head and looked at the two sisters, Hope and Angel. She crossed her arms though. She looked between the two of them.
    "Question though, was it ever specified to which of you is the elemental, I'm sure Raven knows, but the rest of us were never told, unless you two know which of you is." Emma said. This has been a concern ever since coming, which one of them was the elemental.
    "Meanwhile, perhaps we can head up there now." She said walking along.
    "Tell me whoever it is that gets the weapon." Gerik said as he walked towards the stairs. "I think I'm gonna go do some more world hopping." It was an obvious lie, one that he didn't expect anybody to believe. He turned to face Kavi. "And please don't try running away again. I doubt anybody here has any intention of hurting you. I can bury you up to your head in the ground if it'll help keep you in place." He laughed. Before finally leaving the room, he faced Mel, thinking one last thought to himself. "Since you seem to be able to get to me so well, I guess you're welcome to come and find me. If you want to try and keep me on the proper path or whatever. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't know if I can trust myself to do the right thing at every opportunity."
    -----
    With Raven's last words, she vanished. Voltair sighed and let his body lay down on the ground. "I hope it is soon. It sucks being here all by my lonesome."
    ------
    "Come on over if you want Raiga." Zack grinned, quickly cooling off from his training. "I'll fight anybody if it'll make me stronger."
    "I will. . . I will try. It is very. . . difficult to resist the urges. I've been running for a long time," Kavi simply replied to the Earth elemental. He let one of the rebels guide him upstairs back to the library along with the others, and waited for Hope or Angel to take the first step.
    "I would suggest taking it one at a time. If you both go, I cannot guarantee what will happen," He told them, gesturing to the hanging weapon.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    "Alright, then let's DO THIS!" The man roared, dragging his blade along the ground. The electrified weapon cut through the stone like butter, leaving a rather unsightly gash in the once-smooth surface. Once he reached Zack, he aimed an upward strike at the keyblader.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "So you're telling me everything is on schedule?" Vincent asked the artificer, raising an eyebrow.
    "Ahead of schedule, in fact," Ghira replied."It should be finished within the week. Might I ask you something?"
    "Yes, what is it?"
    "You asked me to make something that looked 'practical', and not 'beautiful', correct?"
    "Well, not specifically, no. But I suppose you're right. Is that a problem? Because last I checked, aesthetics weren't a big deal."
    "No, no, that is all."
    Raven closed her eyes as Voltair's touch faded around her and a warmth from a sun obviously nearby replaced the near cold darkness. Though her surroundings didn't change much. She opened her eyes to find herself in the exact same place Voltair had tried to immitate, only real life. A hillside on the outskirts of the City of Dawn. It had been a popular place for she and her friends to play before the city was destroyed because it was just far enough outside town that the adults could never find them and was near the coast. On either side of her she could see the city and nothing but water on the other. In front of her she could see a mountain range. She never really did know what was on the other side of it. The creatures that lived in the water too far away from the city made travel that way too dangerous even for large boats and flying crafts. Even from this distance Raven could see the shadows of monsterous creatures under the surface of the water and also flying above. Beautiful and peaceful as this world may be, it had it's fair share of dangers.
    Raven sighed, allowing herself to lay on the grass for a moment and look up at the sky, which was gold colored with the rising sun. "I've been gone longer than I thought. I'm sure Star's found the kid's by now. Hopefully she recognised who they are and hasn't killed them." she thought to herself before deciding she better get a move on. She opened a corridor of light not to far away and reluctantly stood up.
    The nervous looking pair of sisters both nodded at each other. "So... who is going to go first then?" Hope asked Angel.
    Angel shrugged "I don't know..." she said though as she looked at the scythe she almost wanted to walk toward it. Something about it called to her but she wondered if it might be some sort of spell placed on the weapon. Maybe it was supposed to do that."
    Star felt some odd change in the atmosphere. But it was familiar to her. No one else felt it of course, except maybe Mel, the ability to feel every change on a world around them was something native to the world she was born on. A faint smile twitched the corner of her mouth. Good to know you're alive. I was about to start planning your funeral... no one wanted to come though so instead we were going to have to find you an oversized shoe box to burry you in. Now I dont have to go to that trouble.
    Raven, who had recently appeared in her room smirked, hearing Star's voice in her head. Oh I wouldn't even bother with that. If it were you I'd just sink you in a river somewhere. It's much more dramatic. she answered as she appeared next to Star, arms crossed. "What did I miss?" she then asked out loud.
    Angel was almost overjoyed to see Raven was alive. "Raven! I thought you were dead after I saw you go through that dark portal where did you go!?"
    Raven shrugged "It's a boring story." she lied. "Looks like Star didn't kill you all though. Thats a good sign."
    Star laughed "I might soon if someone doesn't take that Scythe down or get blasted through a wall yet. I'm getting bored just standing here waiting for something to happen." she said with an impatient glance to Angel and Hope.
    Angel and Hope looked surprised, Raven just laughed "I'd listen to her."
    Angel nodded "Any ideas which one of us it is?" she asked Raven hopefully.
    "I can't tell you even if I did." Raven admitted "But I can say, the weapon choses it's master and therefore you are already linked in a way. The wind elemental already knows who they are somewhere in their heart. The point is to find that knowledge and trust it."
    Both girls nodded and then Angel knew what she had to do. She allowed the call of the scythe to convince her and she took a step forward.
    "Angel wait!" Hope cried "What if it isn't you."
    Angel was already near the wall, it was too late to turn back. She reached out and touched the handle of the weapon and felt a strange power surge through her.
    Gerik had wandered back into the courtyard where they had first appeared at when they arrived at this world. He climbed to the top of the hedge castle that was located in the center of the courtyard. "I wanna go home. Why the hell do these Light Knights have to be around? I was perfectly fine living on my own, but then they show up and try to kill me." Reaching to his side, Gerik grabbed the orb Ghira gave him. He pressed the button, opening up a portal above him. "Maybe I should just go and try to destroy the Light Knights on my own. But that would probably end in my death. But I suppose it would stop the fighting for everybody else. None of those girls will have to risk their lives in this fight. Hell, Kavi or whatever his name is could go back to whatever life he wants." Gerik pressed the button again, making the portal disappear. He made a portal appear and disappear a few more times as he looked up at the sky.
    -----
    Instead of dodging Raiga's attack like a sane person, Zack crossed his keyblades into an X and dived towards Raiga. His keyblades caught Raiga's blade and stopped the attack. Using the blades serrated edge against itself, Zack twisted Raiga into a position where Zack was able to push off the ground and knock Raiga into the air. As soon as that happened Zack threw both keyblades and a third blade of light at Raiga. All three blades spun, the keyblades coming from the side and the light heading for the center.
    Not far off, Mel was just finishing up some task she had been doing in the court yard that could only be some kind of work in the garden... which really makes no sense for an alleged blind girl to be doing. She nearly ran straight into Gerik, interrupting his thoughts. "Oh..." she said, only attempting to sound like it wasn't on purpose. "My apologes, Gerik." she said with a slight bow of her head. "Usually I'm not this clumsy. Though it looks like I interrupted something. I hope you arent planning on going back to where you came from." she said, turning her head in the direction of where he had a portal opened a few moments before "Or to the Light Knights. It wouldn't do anyone much good if you were dead. Besides, I've heard it hurts." she pointed out in an almost too light hearted tone for the context.
