Jason closed his eyes and gently fell to sleep. The door opened and a man walked into his room. He put his hand over Jason's mouth and jerked him up, pulling his jaw out of place. The man pinned Jason to the bed and said, "History repeats itself!" He shouted. Jason couldn't scream so no one knew what was happening in the room. 15 minutes later the man came out of the room, leaving Jason on the floor wrapped in a sheet, his clothes removed. He was in trauma, he couldn't scream or anything, he was just shaking.

 

Daniel layed on the floor, in shame and sadness. "I was.... too weak." He then got up and pulled Lily up. He looked at her and said "Lets go see Jason." "Hes probably worried." He then started walking ahead of her. He quickly ran ahead and then hid behind a wall as he watched her passed ahead. He then ran away to the roof of the hospital and started crying. "I was.... too weak."

 

Lily looked around and noticed Daniel had vanished again, she decided not to make a scene so she walked casually back toward Jason's room. She gasped when she suddenly heard a nurse scream from Jason's room, she heard her yelling. "What happened? Quickly someone get help!" Lily ran into the room where she found the nurse helping Jason back onto the bed. He looked pale and traumatised and he was shivering. "Oh my god! Jase what happened?" she grabbed a blanket and threw it around him, the nurse look at Lily. "You stay with him, I'll go fetch the Doctor." "Yes ma'am" she replied while helping Jason to lie down again. "Jason? Jason what happened?".

 

Jason looked at Lily with tears streaming down his face. He kept shaking. "He.....that man, he raped...." Jason couldn't even finish his sentence. He just started to scream and cry. A doctor ran in and said, "Good God!!! How did this happen?" He put Jason onto a his bed and asked Lily to step outside. Once Lily was in the hall the doctor closed the door. The doctor looked at the nurses, "Get me some water and a towel, we have to get him to calm down or he could have a heart attack."

A nurse in the hall walked over to Lily, "Young lady, everything is going to be fine. Our doctors are the best."

 

Daniel kept crying his eyes out. As he kept crying, a voice cried out "You're too weak." "You don't have the power to protect them." "You're just a frightened puppy." "A small, pathetic, simple minded puppy!" Hahahahahah!" Thats when Daniel stopped crying. "A weak....puppy?" He looked town to his knees and said "I'm weak." "Too weak." "I need........ power!"

 

Lily burst out in tears and punched the wall continuously. “Why is this happening to us? Why?” as she tried to get some air back into her lungs she started feeling sick she turned and threw up in a trash can which were next to the waiting room seats. She slumped into one of the seats and stared up at the ceiling, the light above her made her tears glisten as they ran down her cheeks. Lily wanted to look for Daniel but she didn’t want to leave in case something happened to Jason. Suddenly the silence was broken by her phone ringing, it was her mother. She picked it up hesitantly and put it to her ear. “Hello? No mum…I’m fine! Huh? No I’m not it’s just the rubbish signal. Yeah we’re all fine! Okay mom I have to go now, okay love you mom…bye.” She turned her phone off and shoved it in her pocket before scanning the corridors. “Where’s Daniel?:

 

Some men in black suits were coming down the hall. The two men stood in fron of Lily and asked, "Are you the girl with Jason and Daniel?" They pulled out their badges and said, "Christian follower servants. You and your friends are now under the protection of the vatican. We believe you are the targets of a satanic cult. I know this may be alot to take in but please you have to trust us. Those protestors you stopped, they were a part of the satanic cult targeting you."

 

That moment forth, Daniel felt something changed in his heart. Like it was being covered in a cloak of darkness. He got up and said "Nobody will hurt us ever again." He then started walking down the staircase of the roof. When he got down to the main floor, he looked around saw no one around. "Where is everyone?"

 

Lily stepped back, she wasn't convinced at all. "Huh, Just 'coz you have a couple of badges and a bit of senseless info d'ya expect me to just trust you just like that!?" The men both looked at each other. "Yes we do actually and as far as I can see, trusting us is the only option you have right now!" He said while gesturing at Jason's room. The door opened and the Doctor walked out. "Lily, you may go in now. He's a little shaken but we've done everything we can." Lily nodded obediently. "Thank you..." She ignored the two men standing with her and ran into the room. Jason was still lying there still shivering, his face still pale and his eyes were bloodshot. "Hey...you okay?" she sat down on the bed beside him and held his hand. Jason was about to answer when he saw the two men enter the room, he seemed to draw back when he saw them, lily held his hand tighter and reassured him. "It's okay, there here to help...I think"

 

The two men looked down and said a small prayer that God would comfort Jason. Then the men sat down in two chairs across from where Lily was sitting. "Jason, surely with all of your research you know that the vaitcan has many secrets, right?" Jason gently shook his head "yes" but he was still afraid. The men looked at Lily, "No one really knows what is the truth about the vatican except for a few people. We are a special police force for the pope himself."

One man stood up and began to explain everything after locking the door. "Ever since the church was established there has been those who wish to destroy it. One of these groups is a satanic cult called the Zeronist. They began as a small group but they have recently grown more powerfull, somehow they have gotten a hold of a massive sum of money. Currently we are investigating where they got that money. We believe it came from a powerful country."

The man cleared his throat and continued, "The Zeronist have some unknown goal they want to complete. Apparently you three got in the way of their goal. We would like to take you the vatican for safety. There you can live a life of peace and protection. You need to decide quickly, we don't have much time."

Jason looked at Lily and whispered, "Bring me the red book in my hoodie pocket over there in the corner."

 

As Daniel was walking, two men showed up behind him, both were cloaked. Daneil turned around and saw them stadning there. He looked at them and said "Who are you?" One of them then said "We are part of teh Zeronist." "A special kind of cult." "Our leader has his sights on all three of you." "Especially you." Daniel looked at them and said "Why me?" The two lokked at eachother and started laughing. "Whats so funny?!" THey turned thier gaze back at Daniel and said "You'll see."

 

Lily nodded and walked to the other side of the room where she found Jason’s hoodie neatly laid out on a stool. She picked it up and rummaged through the pockets until she got her hands on a small red book. She glanced back at Jason who was looking at her from the corner of his eye, he nodded gently so she walked back and handed him the book. ‘What is that book for?’ she asked herself before sitting on the bed next to Jason again.

 

"It's a book of ancient religious symbols and stuff." Jason said with a shakened voice. He looked at the badges the two men had, their was a cross like symbol on the badges. Jason looked through his book and found the exact same symbol. Jason laid his book on the table next to his bed and looked at Lily, "They are who they say they are. Their badges have an old church symbol on them. Lily, I know what i'm about to ask sounds crazy but I think it's better if we all go with them to the vatican." Jason laid back, he looked pale. But he tried to remain strong for Lily, deep down though Jason was ashamed, he felt terrible, he felt embarresed.

 

"So, come with us and you'll gain great power." Daniel kept looking at them with the thought of temptaion inside of his mind. "Power......" As he stood there thinking about it, the men moved forward to him. Then one of them said "We'll let you think about it." "Remember the meeting place at midnight." THen then walked away as Daniel stood there, thinking about the proposal. "What should I do?"

 

Lily looked at the two men, deep down she really didn’t want to trust them, and she still couldn’t bring herself to trust them. But then she saw the expression on Jason’s face, he was still shaking and pale and his eyes were still red. ‘These guys said they could protect us…if that means that he doesn’t have to go through anything like that again…so be it.’ She thought to herself. “Okay, I trust you guys…” She looked at Jason. “For your sake. I don’t anything bad to happen to you…not again, not anymore.”

Jason laid his head down and looked up at her, "Thank you." The two men nodded at them and said, "We leave tomorrow morning. There will be a private jet ready for you at an undisclosed location." The two men left the room to let Jason and Lily have some alone time.

As soon as they were alone Jason began to cry. "I'm...I'm so embarresed. I'm supposed to be the one to protect you, but I keep getting hurt and you two end up having to save me. You shouldn't have saw me like that, it wasn't right. You shouldn't have saw me laying on a hospital floor naked with nothing but a sheet over me after I was...well you know." Jason was so mad at himself, "I'm so ashamed." Jason just kept crying.

 

Lily wrapped her arms around Jason and hugged him tightly. “Don’t feel embarrassed…and anyway, I think I’m the one to blame for what happened to you…” Lily eyes were filling with tears. “Before I left to find Daniel, I received a message and it wasn’t from my mom…it was someone else, they said I had to make a choice, either you go through something traumatic or you die.” She burst out in tears. “I’m so sorry, I should have told you before then maybe none of this would have ever happened, I was scared, I didn’t know what to do….I-I’m so sorry Jason.” Lily felt so guilty about what happened. She sobbed quietly and stayed as she was, her hands were gripping onto Jason’s shirt as if she didn’t want to let him go, she could hear his slow and steady heartbeat against his chest. Her thoughts were beginning to cloud her mind, she hated herself. ‘He’ll never forgive me, and I wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t….god I’m such an idiot!’

Daniel crouched down by a wall. He kept thinking about they said to him. "You'll see..." He then angry and hit the wall behind him. "Damn it!" He brought his head down and kept looking at his feet.
