Powers?

"Whatever she wants." Tom muttered before walking off. He looked at the mountains in the distance. He wished he could go over there. But not by teleporting. He wished that he could jump the distance between him and the mountain. Snow floated up to his hand and became a snowball. Tom threw it towards the mountain.

 

"I'm fine." Tom answered. "I've just been thinking for a long time. Before Malefest captured you, when you were on your way to Trafalgar, I was looking for that stone in Alex's hand. I was at the Pyramids. My powers mutated again, giving me another one. I saw visions of the future. I suppose you could say that I'm just afraid of all the uncertainty the future holds. I'm wishing that I can control the outcomes of my life, but when I see those possible futures, I see that only a few of those options are ones that I wish will happen. It just reveals how selfish I can be. In the outcomes that I don't really like, I seem miserable. But in the outcomes I do like, I'm sure you or somebody else is miserable. And most of these visions include Leah. In the visions she's not with me, I believe the man she is with is you. And then I'm sad because I'm not with her. But in the visions where she is with me, I can only guess that you're miserable."

Tom stopped for a moment. "And now I've been telling myself that no matter what happens, she comes first. But I feel bad knowing that in exchange for my happiness, you have to suffer."

 

"I don't know." Tom answered. In his head, he laughed at the irony. He's been a know-it-all for his entire life, and for the first time ever he didn't know something. "I've also been wondering what Leah's gonna do once all this is over. If she's gonna go back to the magic world or stay here. And I've wondered if I would go to the magic world. Since I found out I was born there, I've become rather curious about what it's like."

 

"One thing at a time." Tom thought to himself. "I can evade the government. And no. I wasn't aware that Leah is a princess back in the magic world. Leah hasn't really had the time to talk about her life."

 

Novek hugged her, a smile on his face. "It's ok. All that matters is that you're back. And I'm going to do whatever it takes to protect you." Tears were running down his cheeks. "I don't want to lose you... ever again."

 

Novek looked at Nicole for a moment before looking at the snow on the ground. "i'm sorry if I'm confusing you by acting this close to you. I need to know something. Do you remember? Do you remember anything from when you were under Zero's spell?"

 

"They aren't depressing subjects. My life is just depressing. That's all." Tom motioned his hand towards the ground. The snow infront of Leah burst out of the ground, like there was a bomb under it. The snow came up to Leah like a wave.

 

"Naw... There are still things that are depressing no matter how you look at them." Tom replied. "It is things like that. Things like that that cause a life to be depressing. Luck of the draw I suppose."

 

"Still depends." Tom said. He kicked the tree Leah was leaning on. It shook a little bit. And then.... Snow fell. Alot of snow fell.

 

"There are just certain events." Tom answered. "I suppose it's hard to understand when you haven't gone through such events before. I suppose by that logic, ignorance is a virtue." Tom let the snow hit him. "That's not saying you're stupid. Just that sometimes, the less you know the better off you are."
