Powers?

Alex had an image in his mind. A blue stone was hovering above a pedestal. It was on a piece of ice, in the shape of a shield. It was hovering above the piece of ice. Suddenly Alex glew in blue light and he reappeared in a room, where he was flying in the air. He was in a purple void, which had different colours of light running through the purple surrounding like snakes. The lights didn't feel like predators though. They felt like elegant fairies, filling Alex's heart with hope.
A voice rang out.
"You are the one who will close the door between the two worlds. You will restore the worlds to normal. The object that is needed, is on the outskirts of Mayo in the Yukon Territories of Canada. The Nacho Nyak Dun peoples will help you on your journey. I have guarded the area from Malefest so you can rest for the night but when daybreak comes, Malefest will be able to enter the area. Whatever you do, you cannot obtain the stone at night. It would get too cold for you to handle"
Alex was so confused. He was the one who had to seal the door to seal the door between the two worlds. What did he have to do?
"Who are you? What am I supposed to do?"
"When the time comes, you will know"
"Wait, you did not answer my question!?"
Alex reappeared by Alexis and he held her hand. He looked at his friends with a worried expression.
"The stone's in a village called Mayo in the Yukon" he said with no tone in his voice.

Alex went along with them. They appeared in a street, which was icy and snow covered everything in sight. Alex got a sudden shiver down his spine because of the bitter coldness. He was only wearing a t-shirt and trousers. He looked at Leah and Tom and shivered. He suddenly noticed an inn on the corner of the street.
"Let's go inside at the inn. The person who told me about the stone said they would seal this area away from Malefest for the night"
It was night and the voice warned him not to go out at night because the village got violent snow storms. Alex felt his hands turn to icesicles.

 

Alex tredded through the snow, being careful not to slip on the icy ground. Suddenly First Nation people walked upto them with polar bear fur clothing and boots, the size of Alex's head. A chief with a staff made from wood stepped forward. His face had a few wrinkles. Alex guessed he was around 50. Maybe more.
"Are you the boy of legend? The next sealer of the doors?"
Alex nodded, with his hands in his pockets. He had thoughts of movies with Indians sacrificing men to stop natural disasters but he shook it away. He frowned.
"Yes, I am"

 

"I am Chief Hulu of the tribe here. There is something of great importance I must tell you. Something that can be heard by your ears only"
Alex nodded and asked shakily "Does this include me?"
Hulu nodded grimly.
"Let's go inside the inn"
The chief looked at Leah's shorts.
"You must be cold" he added, as he showed them to the inn. Each step, Alex took made him shiver more but not just for the cold weather. It was the uncertainty. They entered inside the inn and a swift wind of warm air greeted them inside. The room was very cultural. There were totem pole lamps lighting the room, spears hung up in a cross and an ancient map, which looked 1000 years old, being shut inside a glass covering. The chief sat down on a brown couch, which was layered by wolf pelt and motioned them to join him.

 

Alex looked down.
"It's...it's something bad isn't it?" he asked shakily.
"Unfortunately yes. I am the great protector of this world. I have witnessed great battles between the good and darkness. Thankfully, the good has always won"
"...wait, has this happened before?"
"Yes...it is apart of a cycle, that takes place every 300 years. The boy of sealing must seal the gate between the magical world and the normal world to stop the darkness from flowing through"
"What does that mean? What will happen to me!?"
"You will have to protect the passageway between the gates. You must lock the gates that lead to our world and theirs"
"But if they are locked, I will...."
"You will have to be sealed inside, yes"
Alex sat silent, with tears flowing down his face. He was shocked and didn't know how to respond.
"I am sorry" the chief finally said. He was upset too. "Once the darkness has been vanquished and the gates are sealed, everything on Earth will be back to normal. Your friends will remember you"
"What about my parents?...they would be worried about me"
"You...you would never cease to exist"
Alex looked down, his face red from the tears he shed.

 

"Novek, my soul's been possessed by Zero....please save me" Nicole's voice rang out in Novek's mind. Her soul was replaced by another version of Nicole. Zero had it inside his pocket encased in a vile. A blue light swirled and it's light was beautiful. It was like a fairy light.

Malefest stood over Aiden, who was lying unconscious. He would be the perfect soldier against Leah. She wouldn't dare hurt him....or should he be wrapped up in chains and be tortured? He could witness Leah's last few moments.
Before Novek could react, he took Aiden's body and they disappeared into smoke.
"Novek's too reckless for his own good" Malefest said and then he laughed. Malefest and Aiden reappeared at the Eiffel Tower. Aiden was hung in chains in the air, at the top of the Eiffel Tower. He was still unconscious.
"Leah should be coming anytime soon. She would probably sense Aiden's location and notice he isn't in London anymore.
The whistles of the wind were the only sounds, you could hear in the city. It was midday
