Pokemon Battle Tower RP

OOc: Sorry I'm so late.


IC: While Ben and Stevie were battling, Cael, Regidor, and his Umbreon Jerome had wandered off, checking around the boat. Even though he wanted revenge for what Team Galactic had forced him to do, Cael had to make sure they weren't following him. The time for revenge was coming, but not yet. He had to be careful not to hint to the other trainers about who he once was and what he had done. No, his dark past had to remain secret.

 

Stevie went back to the practice arena with Chikorita & went inside one of the virtual rooms. He stepped into the center. "Please pick your skill level & mode please & the rules." Stevie smiled. "Well, we might as well pick easy novice since we know you will just get started to battle." Stevie picked what he wanted & the room changed into a stadium. On the opposite side was a virtual trainer & he brought out a squirtle. A couple of trainers was watching Stevie outside of the virtual room.

Stevie smiled. "Come on Chikorita! Let's see what you can do!" Chikorita was smiling & she went onto the battle field...

 

"Attention Passengers. We will be arriving at the Sinoh Battle Tower in two hours. Thank you." There was a click, and the speaker turned off.
"Bout time. Suppose i better fix this burn up." He began rummaging in his bag, and pulled out his salves. He selected one with a red sticker on the container, and applied some to the burn. Togepi sighed, while Ben continued with his work. He bandaged it, then sat back. "Well, i suppose i should feed every one. Hope the deck can support the weight. Flame, Aurora, sups up!" He called them out, waited for any ominous creaking noises, then got some poke food out and fed them both. Togepi had woken up, so Ben decided to feed it some food as well. "Here, sorry about earlier. I got a little carried away, but you did a great job little guy." Togepi smiled, then set about its lunch. "Speaking of which, i better get a meal of my own. Now were is it..." He began rummaging around his pack, until he found his lunch. "Ah, nothing beats a roast beef sandwhich." He began chowing down, then set about an orange he had packed.

 

"Two hours?" Alister looked dissapointed that the wait time was so drawn out. He sighed and then looked over the balcony peering out over the ocean. "I wish I had something to do..." He was bored not being able to do anything or battle anyone. He had stayed upstairs because he wasn't really interested in the battle that was taking place considering he had only been on the boat for a short time.

"I wonder where Dimitri is." He spoke to himself, then he looked at Toxin and Vigor. They smiled at him trying to cheer him up or at least keep his mind occupied. "Well I suppose we could always go practice downstairs or something.

 

Stevie was smiling as he made chikorita battle out her heart. "GO CHIKORITA! USE TACKLE!" Chikorita started to run towards the squartle. The virtual trianer made squirtle use water gun. Stevie was getting worried, but then was determined. "GO CHIKORITA! USE RAZOR LEAF ON THE GROUND!"

Chikorita smiled as she made the razor leaf hit the ground to make her dodge the attack & to lift her in the air. "NOW CHIKORITA! USE RAZOR LEAF!" Chikorita threw the razor leaf at squirtle & made a direct super effective hit. "DON'T GIVE UP SQUIRTLE! USE HEADBUTT!" Squirtle was upset & was charging at Chikorita who just landed on land. "Come on Chikorita. you can do it. Spin your leaf while doing razor leaf!"

Chikorita spinned her leaf & the razor leaf attack was spinning beautifully & hit squirtle again & ko'd him. "YAAAAAAY! YOU DID IT! THAT'S HOW WE CAN WIN IN POKEMON CONTESTS & GYM BATTLES!!" The room transformed back to it's original self & the trainers who watched him battled was amazed. "Come on Chikorita. Let's get Togepi so we can practice our moves together..."

Edit: Not all of them are advance. Some of them are intermediates about to be advance players. It'll be explained later on in the rp as to how I got in the battle tower.

 

OOC:: You're a new trainer on a boat with alot of advanced people, so I highly doubt tehy're that amazed, anyways, you still haven't said how you got to go to the pokemon battle tower

IC::

Nicole finished relaxing and looked at Star.

"Yawn~ You know this whole battle thing not being able to battle anyone is hard." Nicole said. Star looked at her.

"I know, I know, don't battle anyone. Don't worry my battle styles will remain a secret." Nicole said to Star. Star nodded.

"Hey you know, I think we should teach Stevie and Togepi pokemon yoga, it helps calm a pokemon down for battles and remain focus, that pokemon is going to need to soon learn it, especially since he's going to the pokemon battle tower. I wonder how he even got to go. Togepi is his strongest, and it was pretty weak. Metronome is an attack with just the right way can be dodged and deadly on the user." Nicole said remeber when she used to have a togetic(the first stage of evolution of Togepi). Star looked at her and nodded.

 

Ben had been on his way down to the training room when he ran into a jubilant Steevie who was proclaiming how good he was to the world. "Oi kid, remember your place as a new trainer. Here." He handed Togepi over. "Make sure it doesn't do anything strenuous and it'll be fine in no time at all. Its a salve made from a plant that grows on island 3."
He walked into the room and activated the sim. The trainer appeared, and he set the opponents to random. "Ok, lets see if i can out dance the computer. Dance, Flame!" Ninetails appeared, rearing. At last it would get a fair match.
The Data Trainer Called out a Flareon. The Flareon Imediatly started running forward, with its head low.
"Watch it Flame, Its using skull bash. Side step and use Confusion."
Flame jumped out of the way. The Flareon reached the end of the simulation pad and came to a halt. It turned, which was what Flame was waiting for. It locked eyes with the Flareon, and began to glow. The Flareon started acting woozily, barely able to keep its feet.
"Hopeless, Finish it with Flame Wheel."
Poor Flareon was to confused to escape, and was caught up in the inferno. It collapsed in a heap, to tired to continue. "Cease Flame, Thats enough." He called her back.

"Okay, next one. Dance Aurora!" Walrein appeared, slapping the ground with its flippers.
The virtual trainer paused as the computer assessed Walreins level, then let out Swampert. "Thats new. To bad it isn't real. Curtains up, use Sheer Cold." Walrein concentrated. The air suddenly became so cold everyone was shivering. The floor underneath the Swampert began to ice over as the tempature dropped. Realizing its danger, then AI made it jump out of the attack, right into Aurora's follow up. "Got you, Ice Beam." Aurora roared as it released the blast. Swamper used water gun to try and deflect the attack, but it was instantly frozen by the cold air and took the full force of the attack. It sailed back into the sheer colds attack grounds. "Sheer cold once more!" To stunned to escape, Swampert took the full force of the attack and was instantly frozen. The trainer paused again as the computer tried to come up with some method of escape. Finally, a computerized voiced said, "User Swamper. Status Frozen. Can not battle, Winner is User Walrein. Computer defeated."
"That was not even a challenge. I wish A.I. was smarter, but what can you do? Nothing will ever be able to beat the real trainer. Cease Aurora, Shows over." He called her back, then walked off the stage to a round of applause and admiring comments. "Thanks you guys, if someone wants to battle me step right up. 1 on 1 battles." Two people stepped up. "How about 1 from each of us vs your 2."
"Bring it on. Clear the floor." Ben called happily. This was what training was all about. He called out his poke'mon, and set to them.

 

Stevie was thankful. "Come on Togepi & Chikorita. Let's go to this training room that is on the map on this ship. We'll practice doing our moves in style." The three walked there & took 10 minutes to sign up to a room. They was preparing themselves. "Ok Togepi. Show me your growl." Togepi was smiling & his growling was so cute. "Let's try it again. Growl." Togepi was growling, yet still too cute. "Try to growl a little bit more rough." Togepi growled & it gotten a little bit mean. "that's it. Try it one more time." But it was too funny. Togepi's growl became a purr. "Oh well. You're too cute to do that. Ok. Show me your metronome."

Togepi was smiling & waved his hand & Togepi glowed bright white.Stevie was scared. "IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS?!!" Chikorita hid behind Stevie & a big explosion started & made Stevie & Chikorita fly backwards & shook the whole ship. Togepi was smiling, in pure black. "Oh my goodness. Self- Destruct. Oh Jeeee..."

 

Nicole was walking down the hall and stood on deck when she felt the ground below her shift minorly. She looked at Star and went downstairs. Below them in the training room was Stevie and togepi. 'This is somewhat sad. Self destruct should be able to make this entire floor black.' Nicole thought to herself. Nicole walked into the room. She ran over to the fainter Togepi and healed it.

"You need to becareful with your pokemon." Nicole told Stevie. She looked at him.

"How did you get to go to the Pokemon Battle Tower, this isn't a gym place nor competition." Nicole asked Stevie.

 

Cael noticed Alister looking over the balcony with his pokemon, looking out over the ocean. Cael walked over to him, Regidor and Jerome right behind him. He felt the ship kind of tilt, but then it got back on balance. Although he hated to admit it, ships weren't exactly his favortie type of travel. "Hey, what's up?" he asked as he came up to Alister. Regirod and Jerome were staring curiously at Alister's Pokemon.

 

Will was in a virtual simulater against two legendaries. Ho-Ho and Lugia flew at him intesly as his Pikachu ducked a blow from Lugia's tail. "Charizard, Flamethrower at Lugia!" He roared. as the fire raged forward Ho-Ho went in front of it, using it's own flamethrower to stop Charizard's. As the two columns of fire battles Lugia rushed in to swipe at Pikachu. "Pikachu, jump on it's head and use Zap Cannon!" He roared. The small pokemon jumped onto Lugia and unleashed a large amount of electricity into the large pokemon's body, stunning it for a short time.

 

(Legendaries...seriously?)

Alister looked back noticing that someone was talking to him, at least he though they were talking to him. He smiled as Cael walked up his pokemon seeming to mimic him. He looked over Cael curiously'I wonder how strong he is' Alister spoke to himself. If they were strong he could probably get some training off or at least some coversation. He blinked for a second as the sun caught his eyes and then he began to talk.

"Oh um hi there," He replied. "I can't remember if we met or not, my days been off...I'm Alister" He held out his hand feeling a little awkward.

The large, white bird drifted to the side but then shook off the small, yellow pokemon, knocking him to the ground. Ho-Ho's flamethrower started to inch towards Charizard as he slid back a bit, claws digging into the floor. Pikachu hit the wall hard, sliding down and landing in the dirt. "Pikahu, are you ok?" Will shouted. The Pikachu stood slowly and turned at the legendary, waiting for a command. Will grinned and roared. "Pikachu, Charizard, combine Thunder and Flamethrower onto Ho-Ho!" As this attack struck the legendary it flew back, obviously in pain.

 

"No, we haven't met. Name's Cael, and this is Regidor and Jerome." he said as he took Alister's hand. Regidor and Jerome nodded their heads to Alister's Pokemon in greeting. They, like Cael, were the very quiet types. "So, how about a practice round? You sure look eager to battle." He figured that so long as he acted like a regualr trainer, nobody would guess about his past.

 

Togepi was still smiling, but was worn out & tired from that attack & was thankful from the healing. Stevie's hair was standing up & Chikorita was so dizzy as she followed him. "I don't even know how I got into this thing anyways. I always wanted to do gym & pokemon contests like my mother." Stevie then took out a worn out ribbon. "This is my mother's good luck charm that she gave me. My grandmother gave my mother, Dawn, this same ribbon when she started out too. I've always wanted to be a success like she is."

Stevie then took out a gym badge. "I've won this 2 days ago from the gym leader & superadvisor of the Oreburgh Mines, Roark. It was so amazing as to how me & Togepi survived. I wanted to give up, but Togepi's determination helped us win. Roark used 2 pokemon & I only had my Togepi. I had to have my Togepi do a lot of tricks with tackle in order to win. I wanted to stop Togepi from fighting, but Togepi still kept on going. Togepi used a move out of metronome that I had never known. It had did a one- hit ko'd move & helped us won. It was a ice type move, but I never did known about it."

Stevie looked back as Chikorita was still dizzy & Togepi was trying to stop being worn out, but was too tired to get up & stand on his feet & layed on the ground & fell asleep. "What am I'm going to do? Roark told me that it is amazing to have a low lv pokemon to win a gym battle & to be so determined."

(THe one hit ice-typed move is real & it is not god moddeling when it was used against the gym leader. I think it's called Sheer Cold. If you really don't like the move, let me know so I'll switch the attack about it used against the gym leader to something else.)

 

>Sheer cold is one my walrein knows. It does have a down side and thats how unaccurate it is. I turned that into just slow, see the post i did before this one. Sheer cold also takes a lot of power from the user, something i changed from the 5 pp rule.<

Flame and Aurora were staring down a Blazekin and Skeptile. "This promises to be a good fight. Lets see if you can keep up with this beat! Flame, Flame wheel. Aurora, back her up with Ice beam." But just before they charged the loudspeaker announced that they had arrived. "Aw man. Cease you guys, shows over." He waved at the trainers. "Sorry guys, but this is my stop. Another time, eh?" He called back his Poke'mon, and, thankful he already had his gear, made his way off the ship.
The battle tower was huge, a great triumph from the people who had built it. Statues of the founding trainers and their two poke'mon decorated the front. "This is it guys. This is what we came for. The Sinoh Battle Tower." He began walking to the doors.

(XD Aw man! I was going to have a practice battle against Nicole's evee with my Chikorita. Oh well.)

Stevie stepped off of the boat, seeing that the battle tower was so beautiful. "OH MY GOODNESS!! GASP! I WONDER IF IT'S WHAT I HAD PICTURED!" Stevie had his Togepi in his hands while Chikorita ran after him. He ran past Ben & when he ran inside, he screamed. "AAAAAAAAAAAH! IT'S WAY BEAUTIFUL THAN I'D IMAGINED!!" Inside was a fountain with pure water coming forth, some bird pokemon flying in the air, a lot of doors, & in the ceiling was a lot of decorative things & a big circular window. Togepi & Chikorita fainted from the beautiful sight...

 

"If you guys act like kids, you won't be respected here." Ben called as he walked inside. He walked past Steevie, and approached the desk. The receptionist smiled. "Good day sir, and how can we help you?"
"I'm Benjamin Cross from the Cinnabar Gym in Kanto. I received an invite."
"Ah yes one moment." She looked at down at her computer. "Yes we did send an invite to you. I just need to see some I.D."
"Of course." He pulled out his trainer card. It was red with fire emblems on it, and his favorite fire poke'mon on the back. The symbol for the Cinnabar Gym was on the back in the place of the poke ball.
"Thank you, here is your key. Your room is on the third floor, fifth room on the right."
"Thanks." He took off for the elevators.

 

Nicole walked up next. She gave them her pokemon trainer card and both her Hoen and Sinnoh badge case. They nodded being impressed.

"Here's your room key. you're on the fourth floor, due to your dad calling requesting the room for you. it's the one at the end of the hall." The receptionist said.

"Count on dad to make sure his special little girl get's the best." She said with not to much perky. She didn't like the royal treatment her father did on her all the time. Her 5th birthday she appeared on TV, when she was 7 she got to play gym leader for a day and everyone who came in lost. She thinks it was because her father told them to loose and they'll get a gym badge, but he said it was all her. Nicole stepped out followed by Star. She looked at the key, it had a little card attatch to it, she looked at it and saw it was a battle pass. She walked over to the elevators and decided to wait for the others.

 

Will stepped up next. "William Ketchum. I recieved an invite while I was in Sunnyshore City." He said, holding his hand out for the key. The receptionist nodded and said. "Your room is on the second floor, sixth room from the left." Will nodded, took the key and headed to the elevator.
