Our Kingdom Hearts Story

"I'm hungry again.." Hayden sighed. He looked at Nathan.
Hayden then eats the last peanut butter bread.

"And at least we're safe.. but what are we doing next? Takeshi is defeated."
Hayden looks at the mirror. Hayden watches the next planets coming.

 

Jet was stunned, he had a brother...all this time and he didn't know it. What was he going to say? In the end he just sat in shocked silence, unable to think of the appropriate words.

Dom looked at the others as well, sitting next to Michi.
"Takeshi may have been defeated now, but he's not beat just yet. He'll be back, and he'll be ready, and stronger. I can also bet he'll be after Rikku and our other two guests. I have reason to think Takeshi may have been using Goro to get access to Rikku, I think Takeshi wants the Almighty Force known only as Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts is the final resting place of all Hearts, they all weave themselves together and form the gateway. I'm not sure anyone truly knows the full powers of Kingdom Hearts, but the fact remains: If Takeshi were to gain control over it, we would all be doomed."

 

"Well we don't really have to worry about that do we, we can take him and beat all of his little heartless things." he said before yawning and rubbing his eyes, "And now I'm sleepy..." he said before pulling out his sword and wiping some sand off of it. Sand could eventually wear down the blade, even though it was very high quality. He walked over to Jet and Rikku, "Ah yes, love and shock...aren't you going to say anything to your brother ? if not I should introduce myself, my name is Hikaru Osaka and you are ?" he said extending his hand for a handshake.

 

Michi nodded, but she didn't say anymore to not overwhelm everybody.

They all arrived back at Disney Castle. Michi stood up and faced everybody.

"This is where I leave you until tomorrow. Tonight you will all rest. In the morning I will go over details of your task in better details. Also I will teach you some basics. Our lovely princesses of hearts, my mother will probably speak with you tomorrow, and you will be remaining here where it's safe, everybody else, Jet, Nathan, Justin, Hikaru, Hayden, and Dom, we will be leaving tomorrow night in search of the other 4 princesses of hearts." Michi said.

"The servants will show you to your rooms: Justin and Jet you two will be together, Hayden and Nathan you two will be together, Mandy and Meg will be together, Hikaru, Rikku, and Dom you get a room to yourself. You know how to get to the dinner hall, breakfast will be served there tomorrow at 7, it's pretty late now so rest up. A log journey awaits you." she told them before walking out of the gumi ship.

Mandy and Meg stood there confused. Watching her leave but noticed a male butler and female maid standing there smiling.

"Hello, we're here to take you to your room and get you settled in, gentleman, Mr.
Russell shall take you to your rooms, ladies you will be with me." the maid said smiling.





Michi traveled down the hall coming to a stop at the end of the hall turning right to a double door. She pushed it open the bedroom was huge inside. A king size bed to the side with a sky blue comforter. The room overall was empty, there was a Victorian couch, book shelf, bed, dresser, and a grand piano. She walked over to the dresser a few photos were framed. She smiled at a photo of her father teaching her to play the piano, the one thing she used as an escape. She walked over to the piano, and began to play a song on the piano.

As she played she remembered memories of her father.

"Michi, when travelling to other worlds, do not let onto the fact you're from a totally completely world, a lot of the times many will know, but unless they say so, they may not, and you don't want them to."

"I understand, daddy, can we go now? Pleeeeeeease!" A little 5 year old Michi begged of her father strapped in a seat on a gumi ship.

"Ha-ha, you want to go Michi, alright then hold on." her father said.



"Michi... you need to be careful. Just because darkness isn't at large, doesn't mean the heartless still can't hurt you." Her father said.

"I could have taken them on." 7 year old Michi crossed her arms looking away from her father.

"Michi... one day you'll be able to fight them, and defeat them, in fact a day will come where I bet you'll be able to fight even stronger heartless than what I can. You can't now though, you need to be careful until you become strong and continue to practice battling." her father told her.


"Michi, I want you to meet Anthony and this is his son Dominic, or as he goes by Dom-Dom." Michi stood there and looked towards the boy about a year or so older than her. "He's probably going to make a good partner and friend for you one day." Her father told her. She nodded and smiled to the boy.



"Michi, quit working yourself too hard." A 12 year old Michi stood with a metal staff in her hand. She stood in a large training room. She was breathing hard but managed to still look ready to continue training. "I worry about you..."

"Dad, it's ok... besides if I'm going to be fighting stronger heartless and fighting along side the chosen keyblade wielders, I need to get stronger." Michi said.

"Michi, fighting with brute strength and magic won't necessarily make you stronger, fighting the darkness involves also having a good heart, that's how the keyblader's are chosen."

"I don't get it dad, you have a good heart, why can't you be a keyblade master, put an end to the darkness?"

"Michi, it's complicated. If we were to become keybladers, the protector's would end, and our children will not have light magic to fight with, they won't be able to be protector's and their will be a time of no protectors or no keybladers."

"That still makes no sense to me, I think you should be a keyblader!"

"Michi, now you listen to me, to protect our worlds, no matter what you cannot become a keyblade wielder, your children never can neither. There is only one circumstance you should ever pick up a keyblade."

"What's that circumstance?"

"Your heart will know when."



"Your majesties, terrible news!" 16 year old Michi and her mother looked up from dinner table. "The king on his quest on Earth was attacked by darkness!"

"How injured is he?" the queen asked worried.

"Your majesty, he was murdered..." Michi stood up in shock and ran out of the room and ran to the courtyard where knights and nurses were running into the gumi ship hanger. She leaned forward on the railing looking down into the courtyard before running down the hall to the door leading out to it. She quickly ran into the hanger and came to a stop seeing the bloody, motionless, dead body of her father.

His hair was a mess, his body all scratched and bruised. She slowly made her way down next to his body everybody else around disappeared as she fell to her knees and began to weep on his dead body.




Michi finished the song not being able to bring herself to play another song, tears fell from her eyes and fell on to the beautiful ivory keys of the grand piano.

 

Jet walked toward his room, but decided he needed to speak to Justine. He hadn't said a word to his brother since he learned of his existence, he felt rude but he didn't even know what to say to him. Jet sought him out and eventually found the strength to say something.

"So...you're my brother. I just... I'm sorry I didn't speak earlier...but I'm just so confused right now, so much has happened to me in so little time... I'm very happy to meet you. My name is Jet." As he said this he didn't know if he should hold out his hand to shake, or if he should hug his brother. Instead he stood by and awaited his brother's response.

Dom decided to wander the Castle. He was still worked up over the events of the day, and couldn't find the peace of mind to drift off to sleep just yet. Ad he walked he found himself by Michi's quarters, and heard the piano coming from her room. He stood in the hallway and leaned his back against the wall, listening to the sweet melody. She played brilliantly, and Dom-Dom forgot his worries about Takeshi and the other princesses, and lost himself in the music. When Michi ceased her playing, Dom gracefully stepped into the doorway, and knocked.

"You never told me you could play so well." he said leaning against the frame.

Michi quickly wiped tears away hiding her face from Dom. She shook her head and stood up walking toward the door to the balcony of her room.

"My father taught me to play, I used to be better, but I haven't played since he passed away." She said looking outside. Her balcony looked out over a river and forest on the world. Up above so many twinkling stars were sparkling.

"When I was given my father's staff after his memorial, I made a promised I would defeat the darkness that killed my father. That I wouldn't let the darkness win. In the end, I'm loosing, I'm failing to my promise, worst of all I'm failing my father." Michi said.

"Two worlds, that I was on and could have stopped has fallen to darkness, since then many worlds have started falling to darkness. Then I had two chances to stop the head of the darkness, I failed though. For all we know, he could have all the princesses but the three we got." Michi said.


She walked out onto the balcony looking up at the stars, the stars twinkling so brightly. A star shot across the sky. and disappeared in a special group star, a special constellation, constellation donated to her father when he was her age by the greek gods just for helping a young demi god get back to Olympia from the underworld. Her father told her the story.


As she stood there more gumi ships shot accross the sky. She didn't look back at Dom.

"My father used to say that the stars in the sky were heroes travelling accross the world, now I know they're just gumi ships, and even worst the gumi ships may be of normal travellers, light travellers, or evil darkness travellers." Michi also explained.

 

Dom walked behind Michi and stood with her on the balcony as she spoke about the stars and gumi ships. He didn't say anything and allowed her to speak her mind. Dom was slightly worried by her pessimistic outlook. To him it sounded like she was letting grief overtake her, and that could be a doorway for the Darkness.

"Michi, please... You can't let this get you down. We didn't fail because we weren't strong enough. We lost because we didn't use our full power. Once you teach them about the powers of Light we can win, we WILL win. It was YOU who beat Takeshi today, without you I could have died, and worse Jet would have died, then he wouldn't have been able to use that weird Light-shot thing. You are the gateway that will lead those boys to victory, not me, not anybody else, you. I don't know why you don't see it Michi, you count yourself out because you're too focused on living in your father's shadow. Things look bad now, but at the end of every dark tunnel there is a Light waiting at the other side, I believe you are that light, the light that will guide them and prepare the way for the brighter future. " As he said this he put his arm around Michi. "Never focus on the bad things, it only leads to Darkness."

 

Michi looked at him and nodded.

"There's just so much pressure..." Michi whispered.

"Michi, listen to me, I don't want you to be like me."

"What so you don't want me to be strong, the ultimate protector." A young naive 14 year old Michi complained.

"Michi, you are strong, what I want you to be is you, be Princess Michiko or just Michi."

"Dad, I hate the name Michiko!"

"Oh but, Michiko,it's your name. Besides Michiko, it's such a pretty name." Her father laughed before trapping her in a hug.

"Haha" Michi laughed before turning and hugging her father. "I love you, dad! I don't know what I'd do without you." Michi said looking up at him.

"I know what you'd do, you'd become the best protector, all on your own, you will be Protector Michi, not Protector Daiki. You will make a lot of friends. And you'll find somebody else to help you a long, somebody else who love you dearly and you may come to love more than me." Her father told her.

"I doubt that, but whatever you say."

"Promise?"

"Fine, I promise!"

Michi opened her eyes and looked up at the constellation, at the serious face to see it turn into a smile.

"Dad..." Michi whispered before smiling wide.

"I better get to researching the location of the other Princesses of Hearts!" Michi exclaimed running towards her bedroom door but stopped her hand about to open the door and turned back around,

"No, no, we're waisting time, we can start training tonight!" Michi ran to her staff. She looked up at Dom.

"Wait, Sora had no official training, he was thrown into, he learned tips a long the way." Michi said. "We'll leave tomorrow morning after breakfast." Michi said.

She walked up to him again and smiled at him. She pushed hair out of her face.


"Dom, can we make a promise?" Michi asked him.

"Anytime I break my dad's or your promise to be myself, smack me." She told him smiling.

 

Dom smiled at Michi.

"Ok. But only a slap on the wrist." he laughed as he joked. Michi was trying hard, and her determination was going to be the inspiration those boys would need to become strong. Dom couldn't help but think about how far she had come from the little girl he had known growing up. Then again, he wasn't all that much older. It was funny how they had just kind of grown into their individual roles, and taken over for their fathers.

"Perhaps it's time I got around to teaching them some of the basics of swordsmanship. Magic isn't the only thing they'll need to learn." he said to both himself and Michi.

Meanwhile, Jet was feeing slightly awkward, but also happy. On one hand he was finally meeting his brother, something about this situation was making him feel at home. But on the other hand, he wanted to talk to Rikku, after all he had just gotten through rescuing her. However, he couldn't just tell his brother to go away, not after this. So he mouthed "I'm sorry" at Rikku, giving her a look that said he wanted to talk, but now just wasn't the right time. They'd have to wait until they were alone.

He returned the hug from Justin, again he was stumped for words, this was such a new experience for him.

"Why wouldn't they send you along with me?" was all he could manage to say.

 

For a moment Jet tensed up in surprise, but he soon gave into the moment and kissed Rikku back. Her hand was at the back of his head, so he brought up his, which were hanging by his side. His right hand came up to her upper back, by her shoulders. His left hand went to the small of her back, above the waist.

After a few seconds he broke away from her, and whispered in her ear. "I wont let than man come near you. I love you too much to let him hurt you again." The word "love" sounded both foreign and familiar as he spoke it. As he had told Hikaru, Rikku was his first relationship, but the emotions he had for her were too real to be called anything else. This moment seemed as good as any to say it.

Dom-Dom left Michi's room and headed now for his own. Upon reaching his quarters he scooped up his sword, which a servant of the castle had brought there upon their landing at the castle. Dominic did not use a katana. While those types of blades were stylish, they were not very good for someone like him who would need a ready blade for constant combat. katanas wore too easily if used too much and required constant care to maintain their sharp edge. Dom used a blade that resembled a European longsword, which would need less care due to its sturdy frame. While it would still need to be cleaned and sharpened, Dom would have to worry about it breaking in battle less than he would if he used a katana.

Strapping the blade to his belt, he walked into the hallway and asked a passing servant where he might find Nathan's room. He followed the servants instructions and found the room with ease. He knocked on the door and waited to see if Nathan was indeed in his room. The time had come for the Keyblade's chosen to learn swordsmanship.

 

Hayden went wondering in the castle. Hayden's hand froze.
"Tomorrow huh.. well guess I'll go upstairs." Hayden said quietly to himself. Hayden goes upstairs.
Hayden saw many doors.
"Wha? Which one, seriously?" Hayden had a confused face. He sees Dom-Dom in the distance.
"I better go talk to the maids first." Hayden looks a maid right near him.

"Excuse me, do you know where is my room?" Hayden questioned.
The maid pointed at the door. Hayden thanked. Hayden rushed to the door, but Dom-Dom was there.
"Dom-Dom, what are you doing around here?"

 

Dominic gave Nathan a friendly smile.

"Today was the first time you ever used your weapon against someone wasn't it? I think it's about time I taught you how to wield a sword. Michi may be able to teach you magic and abilities like that, but I'm the best swordsman around here. " he said patting his blade, which rested in it's sheath. "So, let's grab Hayden, and maybe Jet while we're at it. Or whatever... Whether you find them or not come meet me in the courtyard in five minutes, I'll be there setting up some stuff to use for training. Meet me there even if you don't end up finding the others." He said to Nathan.

He then left and headed down to the courtyard where he told Nathan to meet him. He asked a passing servant to assist him in setting up training dummies, and other equipment provided by the castle.

Soon after Rikku said her words to Jet, he felt a strange shiver tingle down his spine, and a strange sense of foreboding came over him. It was as if he could sense something terrible had just happened, something that would affect Rikku, himself, and all of the others. For Rikku's sake he did not speak of this feeling, but instead held her even tighter, He never wanted to let her go, but he knew his duty would once again separate them, but this time she would be safe.

"Something tells me I should find the others. I think we need to figure out our next move. Takeshi will be back, but this time we'll finish him."

 

Jet turned as Nathan put a hand on his shoulder. He smiled at his oldest friend. Jet knew he had it good. He had finally gotten Rikku safe, and he knew his friends would always be there to help fight off any threat that may be out there. the thought of them made the forebodding feeling he had experienced earlier seem very small and insignificant.

"Is Michi ready to teach us?" he asked following Nathan to whereever he may lead.
