Our Kingdom Hearts Story

Dom-Dom was glad to hear he'd still be traveling with the ones he called his "younger brothers". they all meant so much to him, he wanted to be there, to watch them grow into their roles as the Keyblade's chosen ones.

Meanwhile Jet was slightly overwhelmed. He was a "Keyblade wielder" and was expected to go on this great journey, but all he wanted to do was find and save Rikku. Still Michi offered him power, a means to save the one he cared for most. He was going to take it. Jet had long since grown numb to Hikaru, but Nathan's constant kind, and comforting words took the sting off of his cold attitude, and helped Jet to forget his jealousy. Nathan was right, HE had the power, so HE could save Rikku. Jet had made a vow to use the Keyblade to free her from the Darkness, he intended to keep it.

Then they arrived at the port, which neither Jet nor Dominic had ever even imagined before.

"What is this place?" they asked in unison.

 

Michi tuned and looked at them as the door open.

"Welcome to Disney Castle, my mother will speak to you." Michi said as the woman opened the door.

"Michi please don't be rude, come along with them." Michi looked at the woman.

"Mom, I have to speak to Dom alone, we'll join you in a bit." Michi told her before looking at Dom and walking past her mother. Her mother looked back shaking herhead before looking the teenagers in the gumi ship.

"Well, I must appologize about my daughter, she takes her job very serious, very, very serious. My name is Queen Annabell, I please call me Ann." She said smiling to them.


Michi walked up out of the garage, she shielded her eyes from the sun before they adjusted and she walked to a corner where a lone gravestone rose out of the ground. People wanted him buried to the public, where her father always preferred time alone, though it was never really alone because daddy's little girl was always with him.

"Hey dad..." she whispered feeling the sting of tears before blinking them away waiting on Dom.

 

Dominic followed Michi out of the garage and into the graveyard. She stopped in front of the grave of her deceased father, and Dom could tell she was fighting back tears. Without a word Dom came up and put his arm around Michi, it just seemed like the right thing to do. He paused for a moment, and finally he spoke.

"I know this must be rough for you...But if you and your father taught me anything, It's that as long as we remember those lost, and we keep their memory in our hearts, then they can never be truly gone." He said. "Isn't that what you told me the last time we saw each other? Listnen, no one said this job would be easy, but it's our duty to stand strong and help those three become the hero's they're destined to be. And you're not alone Michi, I'll always have your back. Side-by-side, we'll overcome this tragedy, and fix this mess. I believe in you, the strength of your dad shines through in you, you have the power to set things in motion, to kickstart the way to peace." Towards the end of Dominic's gush of heartfelt emotion, he gave Michi a reassuring squeeze, then let go, turning to look her in the eye.

He gave a smile, letting her know that as her friend, and partner he would never let her down.

Meanwhile Jet followed the others after Ann.

"So what exactly are we going to do here? Is this where Michi is going to train us? " he asked, still naive as ever.

 

Michi turned around to face Dom.

"I miss him a lot, but I don't think I can live up to his role, his expectation, my dad was a great protector and leader, I don't I'm neither, if I was a good protector, Earth would be ok, that friend of theirs would not be gone, my dad may even be alive!" she said tears beginning to fall. "What if I can't protect them?!" she said.



"Yes, until you are ready you will train here, this will act like an HQ as well, if Michi feels she must take you somewhere else, she will." Ann explained to them. She led them into the library and sat down at the desk.

 

Peanut butter... Hayden thinks of a peanut butter sandwich. He was so hungry.
Hayden followed the others to the garden. He sees the surroundings.
Hayden then thinks everyone was really ignoring him. Hayden stands up.
"Nathan." He sighed. "What are we gonna do to save M.. um.. Michi?" Hayden was almost lazy.
Hayden then looks at a few animals. Then Hayden looks at his best partner, Nathan. Hayden waits for his answer.

 

Jet Turned and gave Hayden a confused look.

"Hayden are you alright? You know it's Rikku We're trying to save not Michi. Michi is off somewhere talking to Dom-Dom, she's fine. Remember? " Jet became concerned for Hayden now as well, he looked dazed and confused, maybe something had happened to him during the last attack?

"Uhh Guys?" he said to Queen ann and Nathan. "Hayden is starting to freak me out... maybe we should have him checked, he seems totally loopy."

Meanwhile:
Dominic gripped both Michi's shoulders reassuringly.

"You count yourself short, during the last attack, if you hadn't been there I may not have seen the Heartless attack until it was too late, because of you we managed to get out safely. Yes there were a few....ok a LOT...of casualties, but it was a sneak attack, no one was prepared for it. And now, we're ready for them. You are a capable soldier and a kind-hearted friend, if there is ANYONE who I trust to be able to train those boys, you are the best for the job. No doubt in my mind." He gave her a friendly "quick hug". and looked once more into her eyes as he waited for her reply to what he thought was a "cliche, but necessary speech." He hadn't really noticed before, but her eyes were very pretty.

 

Queen Ann looked at the one boy and nodded.

"It may very well be a good idea to get you all checked over. Supper is supposed to be ready in a half hour, I think he may just be a little hungry so after supper well have you all get checked in case you have any injuries from that attack."



Michi looked at Dom and smiled. She did feel a little better. She did find the speech cliche but nonetheless she thought it was sweet. She leaned up and gave him a small kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks Dom." she told him before sitting on the one strong grown bush there.

"So you mentioned some guy, the dad of that girl." Michi said.

"Princess!" Michi heard somebody call causing her to sigh. "Your mother wanted me to inform you of supper being served in a half hour." Michi watched as the servant left.

 

Jet accepted the gum and chewed it slowly, allowing the minty flavor to curve that grumbling sensation he had in his gut.

"Thanks Nathan." he said. He tried to get him mind off of Rikku, and onto the training, but no matter how hard he tried her face, her smile, her eyes, her perfect innocence flooded into jet's mind. He didn't allow his inner torture to shine on his own face, he didn't want Nathan and Hayden to worry about him. They were probably going through as much pain as him. Silently Jet followed the group into the castle and into the promise of dinner that awaited them.

Dominic sat down beside Michi. a servant alerted them to dinner, so Dom decided to make this fast.

"Right Rikku's father....I think his name is Goro? He was a wealthy business man in the field of energy. a while ago, news spread that he had found a means of using "Dark Matter" as a renewable energy supply. Apparently it was so efficient he didn't even need workers to be in the factories. I didn't trust it from the start. It was power based on Darkness, nothing good would come from it. Turns out I was right, but too little to late. I Think Goro attracted the attention of the Heartless, and seeing as Rikku was kidnapped rather than killed for her heart, i have reason to believe he struck a deal with them. his life, and the life of his family for the entire world. I don;t know who's commanding them...but I think the Heartless have a commander, I doubt they did this on instinct. If that's true they could be after "You-Know-What". we need to get them ready fast if they are going to stop them before that happens." Dom spoke most of this on a hunch. He wasn't sure if it were true, but evidence gave him back-up, so it was worth looking into.

 

Michi nodded, she turned and looked back at her fathers grave.

"I think you're right, my father he was acting as a simple pedestrian when he visited earth, his death was caused by a heartless, a strong one at that, no human man unless associated with the deal of Protector should of known my father wasthe protector." She told him. She stood up.

"We should probably get back to the rest of them, tonight we'll let them rest, tomorrow we start training." Michi told him. "And once again, thanks, you were always one of my greatest if not only friend who truly cared." She told him.



"Before we're called for dinner, I'm sure you have several questions, I cannot answer questions about training or that go into the Protector's duty but question about light and darkness, even your weapon I can answer." Ann said.

 

Jet stopped in his tracks. The mirror like image in front of him shone bright with the face of Rikku. He was speechless. in a futile attempt to make contact he timidly put his hand forth as if trying to reach her, but his hand stopped as if it were pressed against glass.

"R-Rikku?" He asked. his voice quivering in both awe and emotion. "Rikku..is that you??? Rikku! Can you hear me!" He tried all the harder to push through the invisible barrier that separated him from her. But no matter how hard he pushed the invisible wall proved too much for Jet's limited strength.

He fell to his knees, looking into Rikku's face.

"Rikku please, answer me!" he silently pleaded.

 

"That girl..." Ann spok up. "I can sense the over powering light and darkness. She's in grave danger." Ann spoke up not specifically speaking to anybody.

Michi stood outside the library door hearing Jet calling to Rikku. 'Wasnt that the girl he wanted to save?' she thought to herself. She closed her eyes and could feel her light and the darkness from the strange boy she met. She quickly burst open the door staff out and ready. She walked in seeing a glowing doorway, Jet's hand pressed against it, it was like a mirror or window, something not normally there.

Michi walked up next to her mother confused by what she was seeing, never had she seem anything like this during her training with her father.

"Rikku, is it?" She spoke up walking up next to Jet.

"Can you tell me where you're at and what happened?" Her staff still in her hand as she took on her serious role.

 

Jet allowed Michi to question Rikku, he was to busy with trying to push his way through the window to care, all he wanted was to be there with Rikku, to hold her again, to tell her everything was ok.

Dom came into the room and saw the window as well. He walked up to the Queen and tapped her shoulder, not sure if that was taboo or not, but he had a question nonetheless.

"What is that thing? Did someone here cause it to appear?" he asked Queen Ann.

 

Michi nodded understanding the deep love they held and stood out of the way.

"Jet, I'm relying on you figure out as much as you can and tell me so I can try to locate her." Michi whispered walking past Jet.

"The rest of you supper is ready." She said to escort them our of the room.

Queen Ann shook her head when Michi took over. She had a theory on what it was caused by but, it could not be confirmed.

 

Jet stayed behind with the doorway...or rather window to Rikku, he had no intention of leaving it.

"Rikku..... Earth is gone....swallowed by the Darkness, Only a small handful of us survived. I don't think i could have done it without this Keyblade everyone talks about, It seems to be some kind of great power, I swear Rikku, I going to find you. I'll use this Keyblade to get you free. Until then please, be strong, stay safe, and remember I'm coming for you!"

Jet continued to push against the barrier. It was the only thing between him and Rikku, Why counldn't he tear it down?!?

Dom was still baffled by the window. He had never heard of such an occurance before. Could the bond between Jet and Rikku be THAT strong, powerful enough to let them speak like this. Was something like that even possible?
