"Yeah but he isn't going to be." Nicole said. She walked over and real hard poked his chest holding him down. She looked down at him. She glared at him. She wanted to kill him for killing her ancstors and many other magic people, but she couldn't her head slightly hurt. She looked at him.

"Why'd you do it?" Nicole asked.

 

Rovora laughed, "Oh silly girl. Your ancestors were fools. They believed that they should turn the other cheek and live in secretcy. They did not want to use their powers to destroy the normal people and rule this world." He looked at Jesse and back at her, "Tell me, what if I told you that he was your cousin." Rovora said while pointing at Jesse.

 

"We'd be very distant cousin. Plus I don't think killing people to take over is right. Sure I'd rather live in peace. So why'd you go and kill all the magic people huh?" Nicole asked him. She pushed harder on the staff hearing a crack breaking one of his ribs. She looked back at Jesse and the other's hoping to find out what to say or do.

 

Rovora laughed as he felt his rib break, "Stupid girl. I want to rule this world and make normal people my slaves like they should have been all along." Then he looked at Jesse who was shaking, "Cousins? No way, that can't be." Rovora knew he hit a nerve with his little white lie. With that one lie Rovora was able to see Jesse's weakness. If he could use Nicole against Jesse then it would make this so much easier.

 

"We're not cousin, maybe one time in life our ancestors were, but over time seperated, genes became different thus making us not related. It's the rule of biology." Nicole said.

"I refuse to let that happen, no matter what, you see I'll have all of us living in peace togeather and be sure you're dead." Nicole said. She had no emotion in her voice.

 

Rovora smirked, "Really? You think you can bring peace? How pathetic." He pushed her off of him with brute strength before grabbing and bashing her head into the wall. "See child, the thing is. Your hurting everyone. Your only hurting your friends and it does'nt matter if you believe me or not. It's the truth."

Jesse charged at him but Rovora turned around pulling Nicole in front of him like a human sheild. Jesse tried to stop but he only slowed down and the tip of his blade cut her left arm leaving a long cut on her arm, "Oh dear boy, how could you hurt her?" Rovora began to crush her head in his grip.

 

Nicole closed her eyes and like magic disappeared. A huge thunderbolt came out of nowhere hitting Rovara. A women appeared out of nowhere holding an unconcious Nicole.

"Leave these children alone Rovara." The women said. She set Nicole down.

"I'm warning you, leave my children alone!" She yelled then she faded away like a ghost. Nicole's body layed there unconcious.

 

Jesse ran over to Nicole's body and held her, "Hey, come on. Get up. Who is going to cheer me up if your not around." He said as tears fell from his eyes onto her face. "Please don't leave me." He had never felt so hurt before. He was so scared.

Rovora grunted and said, "That stinking whore." He raised his hand and drain the magic form the surrounding crystals. His power grew to an unbelievble level. He smiled and said, "Well onto canada." He said as he flew away.

 

The chocobo ran over and rolled Nicole over. Underneith her was a letter. It read...

HEad onto Canada as fast as possible, you must drain the powers into Nicole then and only then she'll wake up. If she does not wake up then, I shall visit you. I'll find out what exactly you must do.

Do not listen tp Rovota, you're not cousins. You two are ment for each other. Keep this letter secret only you and only you can see it. You two are ment for each other. Nicole may not realise it yet, but keep focus on this, Rovota knows this already, he will try to stop you. You two and your friends powers combine is what can stop him and make Nicole's plan come to reality.

The letter was signed in a Final fantasy handwriting and was unable to read yet to them.

 

Jesse nodded and looked at Lightning, "Boy, we can get her some help but we need to go to canada. I am counting on you." Lightning nodded. Jesse looked at the others and said, "Get on the table. We are going to Canada." He said in a stern tone. He was in no mood to joke. He held Nicole's body close and kissed her cheek. He would have kissed her lips but he wanted that to be special. Lightning started to dig as fast as he could, "Don't worry Nicole, everything is going to be fine." He thought to himself.

Lightning finally made it inside a cave where a lage crystal was, "This must be canada." Jesse said. He put Nicole up to the crystal, "Please wake up." He said.

 

Nicole's body glowed. The cave around them began to collapse. The women showed up again.

"She will awake soon, you must talk to her. Tell her what had happened in her head I have began to explain somethings. You must tell her though your powers are connected, you're stronger togeather then apart." The women said then faded away again. Chocobo put the two on the cart and got out quickly. They came up at a beautiful lake. Chocobo looked at teh camping equipment signaling set up camp.

 

Jesse looked at Nicole and said, "Listen to me. I know that you may not feel the same way but...well when I talk to you I feel like someone actually knows me. Your not afraid of me and you don't treat me like a kid. You are so nice and your positive attitude just cheers me up and I feel like I don't have to be anyone's hero but yours. Nicole, please don't sleep. I love you." He kissed her lips as a tear fell from his eye.

 

Her fingers began to twitch. Her lips moved slightly.

"Life... death.... powers.... how...." Nicole mumbled out. She began to wake up. She put her hand to her head and sat up. It pounding with pain.

"What happened?" She asked her head hurting. She looked at him.

 

Jesse held her in his arms, "Calm down, okay." He had his arms around her, "Nicole, Rovora hurt you and then a bolt of lightning hit him and you fell unconsious. That's when this ghost lady told me to take you to canada and use the crystal to wake you up. She wanted me to tell you how important you were to me and how we were stronger together."

Nicole looked at him.

"Wait was that why then everytime you touched me I felt something go through my body?" nicole asked. She looked at him. Her head began to hurt again. She saw they set up camp.

"There's a secret organization of humans part of goverment after us. They won't rest till all of are dead, that would explain back at home and New Orleans." Nicole said. She looked at him.

"when I was asleep I guess I saw other things. I saw what happens when we fail, the worl will turn dark and evil, I saw when we beat Rovara but fail against goverment, and I saw what happens with sucess. I saw in all of our futures. Except now it's unclear what happens when we suceed." Nicole said.

 

Jesse nodded and said, "Nicole...umm...did one of those futures involve well...you know...us?" He said hoping that she understood. He blushed a very deep red as he was trying to keep her warm in his arms.

 

"I can't remeber, like looking and focussing on it I see me with this other guy in the park, but it's all blury, I can't tell." Nicole said. Her head began to hurt again. A gunshot was heard out in the distance. A man showed up.

"Well well well, so these are who show up to guard the crystal." The man said. He looked at them all. He then narrowed his eyes on Nicole's cut.

"That's going to get inffected unless we take care of that!" He exclaimed.

"Come on all of you, come back to my ranch." He said. He led them to a farm. On top was a bunch of sheep, goats, cattles and more grazing. Nicole could barely walk on her two feet. Before falling over. She was extremely tired and weak. The man turned around.

"Come on." He said. He hurried to a shed and opened it up. Inside was stairs leading down.

"Come on!" He called over to them.

 

Jesse put his arms on her and helped her into the shed downstairs and put her on a small bed, "Rest, Nicole." Jesse thought about what she said about being with another man. Why though? They had been through more than most people. Jesse crinched and fell on his knees, "I guess I need to take better care of myself." Then he collapsed and as he did he said, "Blood pressure." Then he fell unconcsious.

 

Nicole gasped then got out of bed to help him up. She fell down on top of him. She was weak. The man put them both on the bed. Nicole sat up and began checking his blood presure.

"He needs food." Nicole said. The man gave her some corn and milk. She felt weak still. The room was spinning around her. She stayed focus though.

"So how'd you know about us?" Nicole asked.

"Well I use to have magic before it disappeared, then I became a chocobo hearder. All my chocobo's are down there." The man said.

"I'm supose to let you rest here. You're allowed to stay as long as you like. You guys can rest down here. There's cots folded up over there." The man said. Nicole looked down at Jesse and climbed out of the bed putting him under the covers. She set up a cot and laid down.
