J held Lilly in his arms. She awoke looking tired, she rested her head in his chest and said, "I'm so cold." He carried her to a bed and laid down with her wrapping his arms around her and wrapping them both in a blanket. Lilly cuddled up to him.

Jesse looked at Nicole and said, "I'm sorry. I was'nt abl to protect you and now I even let my children down. I let them get raped. This was all my fault." He started to shed tears.

 

It's not your falt. We're all fine now thanks to you. We'll be fine now. Don't cry." Nicole told him. She hugged him and kissed him.

 

Jesse back away from her and began to walk out of the house, "I'm sorry, Nicole. I need to go." He continued to walk away. He looked back at Kairi who had tears in her eyes, "Daddy loves you." He said before walking away.

 

Nicole watched him leave.

"Jesse..." She said. Sakura looked over ta Bo.

"He can't just go, go, he's coming back right?" Sakura said. She looked at Nicole who was upset. She looked pale. She ran after him.

"JESSE!" She called after him. She hugged him and held her ground crying.

"You can't go. I need you, J and Kairi need you. I love you." She said crying.

 

Jesse shook his head, "No. I can't stay here. I have always believed in punishment before forgivness. I should be punished before I can forgive myself. I will punish myself." Jesse knocked Nicole back as a way to say he did not want her, "Nicole, if you come after me I will beat you like the bitch you are." He hated to say that, it tore him up but he had to to keep her from following him.

 

She looked at him. She felt like crying. HEr eyes started to fill with tears. She closed them shut making the water run out.

"Then beat me." she said. She looked at him her eyes still tearing up.

"If anyone should be punish it should be me, I let him rape me, I let Jen ake over me and make sure I was trying back. I let myself have those kids. If anyone should be punished it should be me. You doing the punishing." She said. She stepped forward after him.

 

Jesse was shaking, he had tears in his eyes. He raised his fist to hit her, "Please just back off." He begged. He did not want to hit her but he had no choice. It was best for her if he left. He punched her hard in the face. The emotion that went through him was so intense. He hated to do that. He could'nt even look at her after he hit her.

 

Nicole stood up. KAiri eyes went wide. She looked at J.

"Why's daddy doing that!?" KAiri asked J. She was scared and confused. She had tears in her eyes.

Nicole stepped forward.

"Your going to have to do better then that. I'm not leaving your side, I promised you that as you did to me, remeber." She said. Her nose was bleeding some. KAiri was crying.

"DADDY!! STOP IT!!! YOUR SCARING ME!!!" She yelled crying.

 

Jesse punched Nicole's stomach, "Please just stop it." He begged her. He was being torn apart as he did this. His heart was breaking, he was crying everytime he hit her.

J was frozen in shock. Why would two people who loved eachother like they did ever do this. How could his father hurt his mother like this?

 

Kairi screamed.

"Jesse! You need to stop this!" Sakura yelled. She summond her staff. Nicole stood up and felt a terrible pain in her stomach ahd got on her knees and coughed up blood.

She spoke with weak breath.

"If you're leaving I might as well die, we're togeather forever." She said coughing more blood. KAiri shut her eyes crying and ran at her father and hit him in the leg.

"Stop this, stop this!" she cried loud.

"Jesse, forgiveness is better then punishment, plus you going to punish yourself your punishing your family you need to care for, that crystal can keep her alive, but over the next while but after a while she'll get her old body back and it'll weak, she won't be able to care and defend herself at that point. She needs you, your whole family does." Sakura told him.

"I can't fight or defend, only help with food and chores and health, not fight." Kate said.

 

Jesse grunted and said in an annoyed tone, "Fine...But I will never be the same man that I was before." He said. He was scarred from this, he would always hate himself even if he does stay with his family, "I will stay but never expect me to be the same."

J looked hurt, he felt like his father was not the man he had admired and love. He felt different about his dad.

 

"Bo, he's your descendant, can I trust you to return him back to normal?" Sakura asked Bo telepathicly.


Nicole laid on thr ground still coughing up blood. Kairi didn't understand what he met. She was still crying. Kate ran over to help Nicole. Nicole shook her head. She stood up weakly and picked up a rag and cough up blood. She was weak. KAte stepped into help again, but Nicole shook her head.

"Go ahead and take Kairi and J home, and show Jesse around the place." Nicole said. She disappeared. She appeared far away in Canada where they were first captured by the lab scientist people. She coughed again still coughing up blood. She leaned against the very tree they climbed up. She had tears coming out of her eyes.

 

Bo sent a messege to Sakura, "You know I can not do that. He must make his own choices and I will not do anything against his free will." Bo told her.

Jesse just walked to a bedroom and laid down. He knew he hurt Nicole both physically and emotionally but he was also hurting. He had become in his opinion the very evil he had hoped to destroy.

Lilly looked at J, "Hey are you okay?" J shook his head and said, "No." As he walked into the other room and laid down. Lilly followed him and just hugged him as he started to cry.

 

Kate walked Kairi up to her room she had made up. She tucked her in and glanced out the winodw at the night sky. Kate was extremely worried now. She walked downstairs. She walked into Jesse and Nicole rooms and knocked on teh door.

"Am I able to say a few words of advise?" She asked him. Her eyes glowed in the bright light as moonlight and star's lit up the room some. She put her hands down and crossed her fingers and looked at him.

 

Jesse rolled over and looked at Kate, "Yes, what is it?" He asked in a deprresed tone.

J looked at Lilly, "Why is he doing this?" He asked her. Lilly sighed and said, "J, think of this frm his point of view. He is the man of your family, the father. He sees his job as the provider and protector and since he was unable to protect you, Kairi, or Nicole he feels like he is a failure and is not deserving of a family." J grunted and said, "I don't really get it." Lilly sighed and said, "When you have a family you will understand."

 

"Listen, I realise your upset and stuff, and everything else. You're worried probaly mad at yourself about the protection and safety of your family. However, your family is safe, the biggest thing that probaly scarred them and hurt them the most was the way you reacted. Kairi, she's still very young, at this age she's still learning, she was afraid but at her age she watches you, Nicole, and J for what to act like when she grows up, what happens when she's older and say you and Nicole do have another child, what happens when she beats him or her up? And J, he's growing up and your his role model, it's going to have the same effect on him and who knows, what happens if he goes and beats up Lilly. You defnately need to speak to them, then you have a women who cares only about you and her kids who I'm sure is pretty hurt right now. I know protecting them is your job, but sometimes leaving them is worst then what did happen. " Kate said.

"All I'm saying is you should go talk to your kids telling them what you did was wrong and you go find your wife and talk to her. I already know she'll forgive you, in fact she'll probaly think it's her fault. If she felt you wouldn't be able to protect you and her family then she'd never marry you or have a family with you, she'd left you even if she felt you couldn't protect her. However she cares about you, she always will. No matter what you do." Kate told him. She turned to hear foot steps coming down the stairs.

"That's all I got to say, and changing to a depressed different man isn't going to change anything, but you're better off being the Jesse Nicole knows and loves." Kate said. She then left teh room and headed down into the basement. Kairi crept around the corner and went outside. She went over to the poorch step and sat down. She looked up at the night sky. She was crying due to being scared about what had happened. She was really confused.

 

Jesse thought about it. He remembered Kairi's face when he hit Nicole. Jesse stood up and walked around the house looking for his daughter. He saw her on the porch and sat next to her, "Hey angel. Listen I know what happened scared you and i'm sorry. What I did was wrong. I should not have hurt your mother and I feel bad for making al of you cry. Daddy is just mad at himself right now. See I have always been like that. I never let myself be forgiven without punishment. I feel as though it is the only way to repent." He had tears in his eyes. He looked at her and said, "Kairi, if you hate me or can't forgive me or afraid of me then I understand."
