I really think they should lower the age to drinking to 18. I need to talk to Obama about this. I <3 Grey Goose and Captain Morgan. Beer isn't bad but I don't like it. Hard Liquor all the way!

 

A small amount is not bad. But we all know that most people drink so much that they get drunk. Getting drunk leads to unprotected sex, jail time, and even worse DEATH!!!

Your insane. Why do you want people to get drunk? They could die.

 

Why do you want people to drive, they could die. Why fly in a plane, they could die. Why cut your hair, the scissors could slip and you could die. Just saying someone can drink doesn't mean you want them to get drunk. And nearly everything you do you could end up dying.

Alright then. You know what, if God gave the power to play God, then I would. You have one life and one life only. Life is too short, a lesson that I learn from the countless people I lost through illness and other causes.

Instead of learning from a book, I rather experience life. If that means getting drunk and partying then I am all for it. You know what, I consider myself a liberal person because I BELIEVE in equality. I believe that everyone has the right to do what their hearts want. I believe in our three inalienable rights, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. If drinking is my happiness, which is not, then I am going to do it. The government is here, so that people won't go chaotic.

I, and many people on this site, are opened minded. We are open to change and some time change is a good thing and that is what I think Obama wants to bring. Do I want to be raised in a Christian nation, hell no!


P.S. I drink to socialize. Drinking isn't fun and you don't judge people who drink. Personally, I don't drive when I drink and I don't get drunk easily and when I do, I usually stay at the place that i did the drinking. I don't drink when I go out, I usually drink in my dorm or at my house under my parents' supervision.

Wrong. The majority of people don't drink too much. And the amount required to get drunk differs from person to person. My dad, for instance, can probably drink more alcohol than you and not get drunk. It all depends on our genetics.

And as a side note, stop using the term unprotected sex damnit! Nobody is protecting themselves from anything. They're avoiding stuff.

Yukou never said he wanted people to get drunk. And I agree with him. They should lower the drinking age to 18 (But then again, it's not something Obama's gonna do). Legally, 18 is an adult. And in other countries, children are allowed to drink alcohol. The military used to allow people 18 years old to drink, but for some reason, they changed that. If you think about it, making laws to prevent people from drinking for as long as you can is kinda liberal. I've noticed this from liberal things. Basically, things that are designed to prevent people from doing things to make one group happy. A good example of this is Political Correctness. It is something that is made to prevent us from doing or saying some things, when in reality Political Correctness is stupid and pointless.

Funny how liberals have changed what they're for. In the past Democrats (Them being liberals) did the best they could to keep African Americans enslaved and without rights. And now Democrats are saying that they want equality for everybody. Funny how they change when a majority of the world or something looks down upon their actions.

And as another note, equality is good and all. But, sometimes it isn't great. There are some people who deserve more than others, and there are some people who don't deserve anything.

 

I agree in the fact that Republicans have more values and morals, and that democrats seem to "change" their opinion on things very rapidly when the majority of people change what they desire.

But what we need to realize is that both Neo-libs. and Neo-cons. both want the same thing. Radical fascism and radical communism are equivalent. So really what Twilight stands for is the old Conservative, but the Neo-cons and Neo-libs of today really are on the same side, and that is really sad. This world is truly coming to a godless era.

 

Yeah, like I said, more older Conservatism. The good conservatism.

 

Well, yeah, Republicans are strict and very conservative. Well, which, comes to my point, I am liberal because I want to make people happy. If they are happy then I am happy. I feed off people emotions. And I do believe in change. After Bush put us through hell with his party and administration last 2 terms, I want something different. I am open to change and I don't mind it. Legalize Gay Marriage, Legalize Marijuana, I don't care. I just want a breathe of fresh air from the Republicans.

@ the whole drinking thing. I am sorry that it brought back bad memories, but I was trying to tell you my point. When I drink, I don't drink to get drunk and I am a smart drinking, 5-6 shots, I drink water because it dilutes the alcohol, and I am not like these dumb fucks who drive afterward and get people kill. I consider myself a smart drinker and a smart drunk.

 

Again, I don't care about religion in politics. Did Obama mention God in his term in presidency? Of course he refer to God for assurance, but did he ever come on tv and said, "Well, People of America, I had a vision today and God told me to ban gays. God told me that you have to listen to him. Etc.?" Well no. He refer to God to watch over us.

Religion do play a major role in politics, and it controls people on what to do. You rant about God like He is going to save you when you are starving for food, needed a place to stay, and dying from an illness. That is why we, people, created things such as medicine and there is something that humans have and that is free will and determination. Don't sit on your ass thinking that God will fix thing when you wake up tomorrow. You need to do things on your own. True most people think that God will find an answer to everyone problems, but he is one man you know.

And that is what Obama is trying to do. To make America run by its people and to make us help ourselves.

 

-_-_-. This is why all of you need to take this to the religious section & there's no where in the bible that says God is a man. I'm going to stay out of this & just read what all of you say. I don't have to get caught up in all of these. All of you is young adults.

 

All I have to say is these before this thread becomes a Religion thread, I don't believe in God and I don't believe in His teachings. I acknowledge the fact that there is a God out there but I don't want to follow his word. I am my own person. I have my own thoughts. And if in fact, that God created us all, then I'll thank him, but if he ask me to do what he says, I would nod my head no.

I believe in Medicine and Science because those are support by facts. I do rely on spiritual healing but not that much.

@ Obama.

Why do you despise him so much? Are you afraid of change?
