Dirk quickly bowed with Lord Seth."Great master, we bring terrible news, Lord Caedus has been killed, by someone who gravely matches your power, we might even fear greater. Lord Seth you take it away." Dirk said, he knew that Master Valentine, would not like the knews at all, so why not let the one who is immortal take it away, just in case Master Valentine gets a little angry and wants to hit somebody.

 

Storm Valentine, Supreme Ruler of all of Attrox, stood at his throne, examining the outer rim of his wine glass. It seemed the last contents had oddly stained it a deep red color. His grin slowly turned to a frown as he realized he had no more wine. He angrily barked at one of his servants.

"Get me more.... Now."

Thats all he needed to say. The servant sprinted off in a hurry to fetch some of Valentine's favorite wine. A few more servants rushed in announcing the arrival of Lord Daigun and General Dirk. Valentine slowly turned when the two of them appeared in the room. He gave Seth a cordial greeting to match the bow, a slight wave of his hand.

"How nice to see you again Daigun... It has been to long since you graced my quarters."

Valentine's gentle grin turned into an ugly simulacrum of an overzealous Minotaur when he heard what Dirk had to say. He hardly seemed to react to the news of Caedus's death. He threw him a fierce look, then his face resembled more of the neighborhood bully, scoffing at fresh meat.

"You actually dare to say there is another that matches my strength? Dirk... My friend... You sorely underestimate me. I did not come to rule Attrox simply through trickery. I rule with an Iron Fist!"

A servant ran back into the room and filled up Valentine's wine glass with a deep red colored liquid.

"Oh, where are my manners... Seth, my friend, would you care for some wine?"

 

Valentine gave Seth an answer by tipping his glass towards Seth, and then chuckled. He then drank deeply. He grinned at Dirk.

"Tell me... How is the situation in Teyos?"

 

"It has been conquered by our forces. I was able to steal their boats that they landed on the shores of Lato, so we were able to dock at their own shipyards and give them a suprise attack, Their king died at my hands. We conquered with ease and have started studying their advances in technology to give our troops better amror. But the more important subject is the Jake person. You might rule with an iron fist, but he rules with a steel hand."

 

A few servants gasped at hearing what Dirk said. Valentine had never been talked down to like that before. A few more servants entered the room just to see their Grand Master lay some beat down.

Valentine gave Dirk a harsh, cold look. He then signalled one of his guards.

"Take young... Dirk here... And return him to Teyos, before I end up killing another General for disrespect."

"Yes sir," the burly guard said as he followed out his order, pulling Dirk from the room.

Valentine took a seat at his throne. He looked downright exhausted... But another sip of the wine gave him new life, and as he drank color returned to his skin. He then motioned Seth to a seat beside him.

"So... Now that we are free of fools and imbeciles... Tell me... How did Caedus die?"

 

The Dirks notice the guards coming to grab him, but Dirk didn't let them touch him. Dirk walked on his own out. The guards followed. Dirk started speaking to them. "Master Valentine is over confident, and that will be his down fall. If you had seen what that boy was doing you would be agreeing. The Reign of Master Valentine is coming to an end, and he knows it. The guards didn't repley, the just showed Dirk the door. Dirk headed for the barracks and found all the soldiers just sitting around doing nothing. "Men get you weapons, Monos falls today. I want everyone ready to leaave within the next 30 minutes and aboard boats to Teyos."

 

Valentine sighed as Dirk left with the guards.

"Of all the Warlords under my command... I hate him the most..."

Valentine quickly waved off his frustration and turned to Seth.

"My friend... With Caedus gone... You are my most trusted advisor... And you seem to have given this situation a great deal of thought already... And so... I am granting the request you dare not ask. Retire to your quarters... Deal with the situation as you see fit. Report to me, and ONLY to me when you are finished... I have matters of my own to deal with."

 

Dirk had return to the Barracks from his mansion, the troops were all ready in lines ready to march off. Before Dirk gave the singal to march onward. Dirk said a few words to the troops. "Some of youi might have heard already, but Lord Caedus is dead. Killed in a blink of an eye. By a new threat, a great threat that Lord Valentine is to blind to see. This threat even threatens Master Valentine himself! That is why we must act quickly and conquer Monos. We will be meeting up with our troops in Teyos and go from there to conquer the east side of Monos. So Men march forward!!!" The men started shouting at the top of their lungs.

"We come marching down the lines, hurah, hurah!" Dirh thought to himself as he marched by the troops to the docks, I hope this new threat kills Master Valentine, oh I hope I can watch it, maybe he'll even srceam out for me to help, and I'll just say, "I thought you ruled with an iron fist? well guess I was right, he rules with a steel hand."

 

I can hear you Lord Seth, did you also forget my mind reading powers? oh well, atleast I'm acting on this. Master Valentine is to blind to see this threat, unlike me. We must act quickly before they come to us. At this moment for all we know Monos has discovered the boy and he's trying to per fect this power rage mod. I think the fall of Valentine might be on us. Also since we just saw Master Valentine, I don't think I'll ever become a lord. Master Valentine does not feel it is right to let us speak our minds, Only a good leader always lets his men speak their mind. So what are you planning to do Lord Seth?

 

Dirk thought to himself, like Master Valentine would even think about getting mud on his shoes in the frontlines. Oh well, on to Monos. Dirk and the troops had fianlly gotton to the docks and had loaded onto the ships and were off to Teyos. Dirk was by the steering wheel of the boat when fianlly the soldier Dirk wanted came. "Well it's about time commander. No time for sir, sorrt sir. You are in command of the troops while I attend to some other things. So when we land take our troops and the elite troops and head off to east Monos, take these battle plans, they should help you."

"Understood Gerneral Dirk." the trooper than ran off to where ever he was going. Dirk sat back and watched as Teyos got closer and closer in the distance. This day belongs to Attrox.

 

Valentine paced his throne room, neither searching for an answer nor letting his mind rest. He simply paced... Back and forth... To and fro... Left to right... And suddenly, randomly, for no apparent reason, he pulled out his pistol. He stopped pacing and studied it for a moment. He looked at the handle... The concave curvature of the stock... And the harsh, cool surface that was the barrel of his 1 inch pistol. A servant appeared and bowed at his feet.

"Is there anything I can get for you, My Lord?"

Valentine repied smugly. "Yes... Colect the dead bodies from the grounds... I need fresh wine."

The servant made a small gulping sound and quickly sprinted away, as if he was being chased by his own shadow. Valentine chuckled a moment. As he sat in his throne room alone, he saw the sun beginning to sink into the horizen. He stood at his vast viewing window... Staring into the sun. It reflected off the dark inslits of his eyes, somewhat making it seem like his eyes were aflame. He silently reflected for a moment on the day he had first taught himself to live in sunlight. Even then... His power was too great to control.

Then again... In those days... He was only human.

 

Dirk stpped off the boat and onto the shores of Teyos, ah so good to be back, but I can't stay long I must follow that magic trail that boy left behind. Dirk started up hill towards the plains of south Monos. when he got to the top he turn and watched the troops march off towads east Monos. "Fight strong and with honor troops." Dirk said aloud to himself, then ran down the hill towards west Monos. that boy left one big magic trail, it won't be to hard to follow, even lord seth doesn't know of this trick, it was only taught to members of my village, and we had strict laws about outsiders learning our ways.
