Dirk fell over holding his head srceaming, but a quiet scream. soon the effect wore off"Oh man did that hurt! well I don't know what there saying now, because Lord Caedus blocked me out of his mind, and I don't want to if that pain will come back if I try again, I could use my true power to overwleme his, but it's too soon to reveal my true power to anyone, so I guess your going to have to find out what there going to do with you on there own, while I watch you from up here out of sight and presence. Don't worry though, whatever there going to do to you can't last forever, well I guess you'll find that out too!!!!" the three bursted out laughing at what Dirk just said.

 

Dirk got a startle when Jake poped out of the room,"Dang lets go find him again you two." Dirk and the two went through a bunch of doors and up and down a bunch of stairs,"Darn this place is huge." When Dirk was about to give up, he went through a door and found the prisoner in a pit. Dirk stayed high abvoe the lords who were on the ground level, when seth walked away Dirk whispered to the prisoner,"Hey what did I miss? anything good, or a bunch of boring stuff that I could careless about hearing from you."

Amazingly, Vivienne arrived in Attrox with relative ease. She noted how Mythril seemed to continue his miracle-granting streak—surely enough, if she had traveled alone, she would have been picking fights left and right. They briefly parted ways not long after, however, with Mythril claiming he had matters to attend to.

She decided to stroll around the area she was in, wary of all the townspeople. The peaceful scenery in Lato suddenly came to her mind. Everything seems so different. Lato was— She came to a sudden halt, inaudibly gasping. Vivienne happened upon a stark realization: she was in Attrox. This was where her family was taken, where people from Lato were forced into slavery.

She muttered a string of curses and clenched her fists. Her temper had always been hard to control, but it was now especially difficult as her abhorrence for Attrox became overwhelming. She tried to keep repeating Mythril's warning—that revenge was destructive—like a mantra, but she was already too blinded by rage. She cast a steely gaze on a white mansion, anger amplifying her 'magic sensor.' She shivered violently. In that mansion, she could count at least four people that exuded frighteningly powerful and dark auras. She recognized one of them; the knight who had turned the Monos army into stone.

Vivienne ran toward the mansion without hesitation. She veiled herself with a layer of her barrier, in an attempt to conceal her presence until she infiltrates the large building. Her sword felt hot in its sheath, and her hands ached to kill.

"Hey boy looks like your testing has been put on hault, lucky for you! Lord Seth seems to be leaving to the door, maybe he's going to go get some weapons to test you. either way at least you get a break, from whatever you were doing before I came into the room...... What he isn't heading to the door to leave, he's looking at something, I can't tell what, because it's also masking itself in the magic. Maybe someone has learned of your presence and is coming to rescue you. I see it as being foolish, two lords in the same building with an entire are out and about."

 

Vivienne easily located the knight, what with his dark aura acting as a trail, but she didn't think that he could spot her just as effortlessly. She had just snuck in one of the rooms when she heard his voice. To her ire, he seemed pleasantly surprised by her visit. Her temper didn't have time to flare, however, as what the Attrox knight said preoccupied her. Another? Then he must have imprisoned someone here.

She unsheathed her sword and rushed at the knight, thrusting her sword forward. She had to hold him off somehow. She just couldn't leave that person in Attrox's clutches.

 

"AH! I found the person who is here, it's a women! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! well prisoner I guess that means your the damshle in distress!" Dirk and the guards started craking up again at the joke Dirk made."Right now she is battling Lord Seth, her chance of success are very low, even if he was asleep or in a coma, I'm flexible. Even if she does succed she still has to battle Lord Caedus, which is stronger than Lord Seth."

 

Vivienne glared at the knight as he casually shrugged off her attack. He went on about the difference in power between the two of them. As if she'd forget how mercilessly he took all those people's lives. She was quick to notice the glow in his hands, and managed to set up a barrier before his punch landed. Again, it shattered on impact.

"Remember? I'm not going to let your filthy hands touch me."

She stayed in a defensive stance and generated another barrier. She knew full well that her attacks would be futile, but as long as her barriers were up, she could stall him. She needed to think. Where was the 'test subject' anyway? First on her priority was that person's safety.

 

"Sir the prisoner is escaping, should we do something master Dirk?"

"Yes follow me." Dirk jumped down from the ledge he was on and circled around the pit, to where the prisoner would come up. The guards stood a little back at Dirk's orders, making sure he wasn't to jump up and take one of their swords. The prisoner had finally reached the top and was face to face with Dirk." Yoy might need a weapon follow me to the amrory prisoner."

 

Dirk and his guards walked through the whole to see Lord Seth to pull out his deadly weapon."Ah so this is the perso who was hiding her presence with the same spell I used to do mine. Lord Seth what are your orders? Should we kill them or do we have to leave them intact, because I haven't seen the enemies blood in atleast a day. I think to make it more fair I shall that the female, because are powers are more evenly matched while the boy comes closer to your powers. Not saying I couldn't handle him myself my Lord Seth."

 

"Well isn't it you who says to become a Lord you must know everything? so to know everything wouldn't that mean doing a little spying. I've been waiting along time to become a lord you know! nothing is ever good enough for you! But I will do as you wish Lord Seth, but remember I do what my orders are, so if you are defeated and asked for help I'll only remind you of what you said, 'I can handle this.' So good luck be and my guards will just sit back and watch! maybe if they do defeat you, I could maybe take your place as lord. Lord Dirk, has a nice ring to it."

 

Everything just happened so quickly.

Just as she thought that one punch would actually connect, someone sent the knight—Seth, from what she heard—flying to the wall. A boy (one who apparently doesn't need saving) appeared from behind her and gave her a quick word of thanks. Then another set of guards trailed after him; from the way they addressed Seth, she could tell they were lower in rank. Finally, as if things weren't wild enough already, high-and-mighty Seth decided to get serious.

Vivienne assessed the situation with rising impatience. Are all the people from Attrox this frustrating? Fortunately, there was another seemingly sane guy in the room.

"I don't know who you are but I know that if we don't work together we'll likely be dead or captured. So we'll need to work together, ok?"

"Call me Vivi," she said offhandedly. She readied her sword. "So. What exactly do you have in mind?"

 

"Oh Don't worry Lord Seth wants you alive, also did I forget to mention I can read your minds!? So anything you think I'll be hearing! So don't get any funny idea's about running! There is no honor in running from a battle! running is only the cowards! which from what Lord Seth said, it seems you have run from him once female warrior, I suggest you don't this time!"

 

Dirk sat back, when he heared the prisoner say, "Lower ranking guy..." Dirk got mad and yelled even though it was againest Lord Seth orders.

"Hey I have a name you know! and it's not lower ranking guy! It's Dirk! also Lord Seth the prisoner's darkside is trying to get the prisoner to give him control of the body, but he refuses, you said you wanted to meet this darkside maybe if you give enough push he'll give in to his darkside."

 

Vivienne groaned as she heard the battle plan. Flight, again. Even between the two of them, the only reasonable approach was to escape. She knew she gravely underestimated Attrox's forces, but she didn't think anyone could be this powerful… it was highly unnatural. She shook her head; now was not the time to think of this.

Prisoner (she never did get his name) hurled parts of the wall at Seth, but he easily blocked it with his scythe. Vivienne shook her head. They needed to do a lot more than that to go through him. She raised her hand and pointed at Seth, creating a barrier that bound his wrists. The only thing she could do now was restrict his movements while Prisoner does his levitation thing.

She concentrated on strengthening the barrier, but lower ranking guy—Dirk—was distracting with his chatter. Dark side? What the hell does that mean?
