I'm loving all these theories on the identity of the mysterious figure, but what has bothered me since the moment I saw in the trailer was the fact that he was wearing the black leather coat..

I'm not bothered about what relevance him wearing the black coat has to do with the story, but more so with the fact that SE continues to reuse the same style of coat ever since KH1 final mix. It's beginning to bother me that a lot of people have the jackets outside of the organization. Is there some sort of retail store where you can easily buy these coats..?!

@Desert Warrior: Ah... Now that story makes a bit more sense... He still went about it wrong..

What I'm curious about the coats is what effect they have. In Reverse Rebirth in CoM, DiZ says that the Organization made them to protect themselves from the darkness. It would be understandable as to them making them if *Somewhat spoiler*Xemnas remembered how Master Xehanort got one*end*. But since no real explanation is given on the coat, if there is something important about them, then it is all speculative.

As for another guess on the Mysterious Enemy, he could have some connection to Xemnas. His weapons look similar to some of Xemnas' weapons in Days.

    Oh,I got a another theory!

Some spoiler in it,so all in white While he had amnesia and was studying under Ansem,Xehanort started tostudy time magic, eventually being able to send himself back in time.He did so to try and find out what happened to his memories, but it took alot out of him or the spell had a major cooldown,so he had to stick around for a bit.He had been learning how to use the energy blades of his, probably under someone else but possibly from Ansem as well.

While there he met and fought one-three of the heroes, possibly because he feels like he knows them.Eventually he was able to return to his own time, but decided not to use the spell again because it takes so much out of him.

He may or may not have found some answers, who knows. As for why his heartless and nobody dont use it,they cant: They are not powerful enough. He was MUCH stronger whole in Terra's body then seperated.
    end theory and small spoilers.

Here's my idea. I think the whole time traveling thing would be cool. I just don't know if it will fit into the plot line very well.
Has everyone forgoten about the third boss that is left!!!!
Aqua can fight master Xenort in terras body
after the game is done!. I know this because it's in the game guide!

Haha, you could have simply said "Aqua fights Master Xehanort" and that wouldn't account for a spoiler as we all knew that from the beginning -It's in the intro video.

Yes. That's all that's needed to be said. I haven't even developed a decent strategy against the guy short of block like crazy..

That's what pissed me off against that boss. All I could do is block his attacks, run away and heal when needed, and block some more. And even then, I couldn't beat him until I put every healing spell I had into my command deck. *spoiler*Luckly it is only the first form you need to spam block.*spoiler*

Well it seems you guys have a lot of good theories. Who knows? Maybe this guy might have something to do with Xehanort.

I've finally gotten to fight him (It involved manipulating Vanitas' Remnant's AI, so I'm not going to say that I've actually defeated him), and dang. Once he starts hitting you, you're screwed.

I looked up a strategy that looks promising, but VERY time-consuming: Equip a good number of Curagas, keep dodging his attacks until u c an opening (They appear more than u think, but u must b brave). If ur close enough, give him a good 2 hits WITHOUT GOING INTO THE COMBO FINISHER! Rinse repeat. I have not tried this myself, but a watched someone employ this strategy and win.

Yeah I think I've seen that video, and, honestly, I wasn't impressed by it. I was impressed that he won, but the that kind of tactic is so lame, and isn't worth watching at all. It's effective, yeah - if you know how to use it properly - but I hate that kind of fighting like the plague. It's too careful and guarded and doesn't suit my play style. I don't think I'd ever employ that strategy, no matter how difficult MF is - that's a promise.

The mysterious figure is tough, though..

I don't think it is possible to beat him without being that defensive. Heck, when I tried fighting him a little while ago, I tried dodging but he'd end up hitting me. The first time I fought him, he immediately did his clone attack. Another time I fought him, he did that attack where he grabs you with his weapon and pulls you into the air and attacks you. After I landed (With 1 HP left), he immediately does the attack again. I died.

From what i have seen you do need to be on the defensive usually, but some attacks leave him open for a good offense.Like that X energy attack,Ive seen people dash through it and take off a good bit of health that way.

I've always managed to balance offense and defense well. I just dislike an entirely defensive battle with the occasional attack to ensure the battle ends eventually. I don't like sitting, hunched over, at my PSP screen for up to 9 minutes - it does awful things to my neck and back.

I'd rather finish it in a timely fashion; 5-7 minutes at least..

I just lost to him as Terra about 10 times. But I did get some good insight. One match I actually got him down to 2 blocks of health left. As an obvious thing, multiple Curagas are a must. Especially for Terra, since his dodge sucks compared to Ven's and Aqua's. When he does his clone attack, a single Thunder Surge will get the clones. I'm thinking about going into battle with just Thunder Surges and Curagas.

If it makes much of a difference, I am at lvl 52 and am using Void Gear.

No offense, but what I don't think u understand is that Square Enix designed the MF so that players would have to change to a defensive strategy. I like just wailing on enemies with everything I have as much as the next guy, but when a foe like MF arises, u need 2 ADAPT

No offense to you - No.

Not really, its just a way to challenege you.Yes many might find themselves defending more then anything, but some will be able to keep up their offense and take him down that way. There is always more then one way to defeat an opponent.

Plus having to be almost completly defensive is BORING,which they dont want to happen. You lose fans when stuff gets boring.
