As the first of many threads I intend to make here, I thought to try something out before I went into my usual stories. So let's start this off with something different and interesting, shall we?

    ___________

A creak resounds through the house. The warrior cat briefly stirs from her sleep, her senses not yet fully alert. A bright light begins to glow and rustling sounds stir from behind one of the barriers down the hallway. Yawning and stretching, the warrior cat emerges from her nest she had made for herself the night before. Curiosity, as it always does, gripped her and she ventured down the hallway. She pushed the barrier, which was always open to her (how she knew this eluded her, it was more of a sixth sense), and made her way through.

The adjacent room was a den of sorts. It used to house everything of the warrior cats, but all that slowly began to spread to other parts of the building she called her land. Now all that remained, shockingly enough, was her bathroom. One of them, at least, as she had also began to use the one in the land below more often. Everything else in the den belonged to the human.

It stood towering over her, using its giant clumsy hands to search for something. Stuff that it put over its body, she had come to realize. The warrior cat let out a single bellow, one that she had come to use as a greeting. The human turned its head to her and smiled down on her. "Good morning, Midnight." It said, reaching down and began stroking her back.

"Midnight." Such an odd sounding name to be given to a warrior such as herself. She preferred her true name, Blake, the name that she had been born with. Midnight was just her given name, given to her by the human who cared for her. She scuffed slightly. She could easily take care of herself, if need be. But it made it easier to have her own servant, even if it didn't realize what it was to her.

The human ceased its petting and continued to search for what it desired. Midnight hopped onto the bed it stood next to and began to search with it. "No, Midnight." It said and picked her up. The human lightly tossed her to the side and continued ita search. Not that this would halt her progress. She began attacking movement in the strange open container with holes on the side. Suddenly, she felt something slap her behind. She reared back and spun to see the human retreating its hand. She took a swat at the hand, then began to attack the container again. She jumped in and began to attack what laid inside. As she bit at the strange cloth, she was picked up again and tossed onto the floor. Midnight landed gracefully on her feet.

As she straightened herself, the human stepped over her and crossed the barrier. It retreated into another den and shut the barrier off, leaving Midnight to the darkness again. She preferred it, which was why she stayed in the land below more often than not.

And so begin the exploration and adventures of the warrior Midnight. No one knows what obstacles they'll face in life. But she would not let it stop her from becoming the greatest warrior cat known in the land.
