ok ok you win :) but i want to clear up some things

first when i said parents should teach their kids morals i was saying thats what other ppl think not what i think. just wanted to point that out desert warrior.

also i believe it is societys job to raise kids. i dont believe in religion or right and wrong and also if parents raise kids themselves u get things like inequality with some being superior to others, having more money. i dont like that. we treat kids like property and have this thing with marriage like promoting loyalty to 1 person for life its unrealistic in the modern world and outdated. but i kno lots of ppl ill equipped to deal with real life because their parents have crippled them i could throw out stories all day.there was a girl who had a baby cuz her mom wouldnt let her abort. etc.

also about drugs some are legal in some places and smoking is and i consider it drugs. so yea parents should say stay away from drugs when the cops will get u both they shouldnt say drugs are wrong. or anything. yes i have my own beliefs but the only way to build a proper society is if u prohibit all brainwashing (which it is.

this guy expressed it more than me his name is richard dawkins my hero.

YouTube - Richard Dawkins - Is Religion Child Abuse?

now where does the license come in. well, it's not just religion thats dangerous and not all religious ppl are dangerous. that was just my example. and yes i hate christianity but i kno some real good christians actually i have friends that are christian and my best friend is. i dont want to make this about religion, but about the dangerous ways ppl mistreat their kids and how its not always obvious what the danger is. u might not care but u are part of this society where children are abused. do u care when a murder or rape happens. yes u do. as a part of this society it is my job and ur job to make sure that NO ONE INCLUDING PARENTS can PERMANENTLY HARM their kids.

as another example i dont want an atheist parent burning a book sacred to their kid who just discoverd christianity. yes im biased against christianity but u dont have to be to agree. we should be made individuals and define ourselves.

making ppl have licenses would mean the government would have a PERMANENT WATCH over them. yes i think this is best for society. it makes it stick together better if ppl adhere to a similar set of values and it means that no person is mistreated or outcast because of their parents. i dont kno if ive expressed myself well so sorry but im really trying

Is this not another form of brainwashing? If you tell kids to stay away from drugs because the cops will get ya, you're essentially still telling them that drugs are wrong, you're just not using that exact wording. It's the same thing.

Not to mention that if drugs aren't wrong, why would the cops even want to arrest people for using them? I'm sorry, but your logic doesn't make sense to me.

What you aren't considering is the practicality of this. How could the government possibly watch every parent and child in America to make sure they aren't doing what you consider brainwashing? Who would pay for this? I sure as hell wouldn't give any more in taxes to fund it- I pay enough as it is. And surely America has enough debt already.

This parent is an asshole, but I don't consider this child abuse. And to be quite honest, I've had experience with the Dept of Children and Families, and the social workers I've met so far have all been a bunch of morons. And even if that is the minority, they are all severely overworked and miss too many cases of children being physically and mentally abused to waste their time on something like this.

Here's an idea- don't be an idiot teenager and have unprotected sex. This would be where those morals would come in. Or another idea- if you're adult enough to have sex, you're adult enough to face the consequences and make your own decisions. And if that involves wanting an abortion, then you do it. I don't think you always need a parent's signature. Or yet again, there are plenty of people in this world who want babies and can't have them. Put the kid up for adoption if you aren't prepared to raise a child.
