It is the empty space that creates the barrier between the living, the immortal, and the dead and serves as the road between the three.

Name: Raven

Age: She has lived the span of many lifetimes.

Class: Somewhere between Mage and Knight.

Character Tier:

Description: Raven has light brown naturally wavy hair that is usually a mess around her shoulders and back. She has a warm complexion with green eyes that appear more blue in different lighting. She is 5'6" and has a lean athletic body type. She is most often seen in casual, neutral colored clothing that is easy to move in. She has large white wings.

Weapon(s):

• Sword: Shaped like an over sized katana, Raven's sword is about as tall as her and the blade is half the width of her forearm. There is some minor decoration etched into the blade but not much. For someone who relies more on speed, the sword would appear counter productive but she manages it without trouble.
• Knives x10: She carries 10 knives 5 of them have straight blades and are double edged. The other five are single edged and more hook shaped.

Armor: The basic premise of what Raven wears is pictured above. She avoids having to rely on anything but herself in most cases, including with defense. For this reason, she relies more on her own skill to defend from damage. She is hard to hit, though she does wear a red jacket with interior plating for light defense. She has also been known to cast some spells to reduce damage from darkness based magic.

Stats:

• Enhanced Speed- She rarely meets people who can match her in this category. Is very quick and has excellent reflexes.
• Enhanced Physical Strength- By the standard of mortal creatures, Raven's strength is without equal. However she can be outmatched in this category by more advanced beings.
• Detail Sensitive- Raven is capable of taking notice of an opponent's potential weak points or patterns very quickly.
• Self Discipline- Raven is stubborn and resilient. Because of this, she can take on a lot of damage without backing down from a fight.
• Survivor- Mortality is a part of Raven's past. From her mortal back ground, she has kept some subliminal habits including fight or flight. She gains an adrenaline boost from life threatening situations.
• Stealth- She's quiet, even when moving quickly.
• Agility- Raven's agility and flexibility are far above average, due to many years of training herself to be so. She is capable of moving quickly, into various different positions, to dodge or block attacks. Or to attack from unexpected angles.
• Tactical Proficiency- Her many years of experience and training gives her an expanded knowledge on how to find the upper hand in most forms of combat.
• Enhanced Senses- She has honed all of her senses (Touch, Taste, Hearing, Sight, and Magical) to be hyper sensitive.
• Mental Guard- Raven is able to block outsiders from reading her mind or assessing her power level with spells.

Abilities:

• Magic:
  • Light
    • Light Compression- This is one of the first light abilities Raven learned. She is able to use it to gather light energy at a certain point until the energy becomes unstable. She then unleashes that energy on an enemy, causing what could potentially become an explosion of light concentrated on a target. (Credit: Desert Warrior- Kingdom Hearts Daybreak)
      • She has learned control the amount of concentrated light in this spell to focus on a specific target, or to affect a large area.
    • Fabrication- She can also form the compressed light into weapons or objects for a limited period of time. However at some point the light energy will become unstable and react.
      • Shield- She uses a similar technique to compress light energy to a thin, strong, compact shield that blocks out some damage from attacks. This varies depending on the type of attack and the strength of the attacker.
    • Illusions- Raven can manipulate physical light to create illusions or cloak objects from being seen.
    • Fusion- Because she is capable of creating new spells, Raven is able to use light energy in other types of spells such as elemental to vary certain affects.
  • Elemental-
  • • Aside from light magic, elemental comes the easiest for Raven. She is capable of summoning any of the four elements and using them to her advantage. She can also combine elements in singular spells.
  • Spell Crafting-
    • Over a large number of years Raven has become knowledgeable on various different kinds of spells. She has become so skilled with magic she is capable of creating new variations of known spells and cast them in rapid succession.

• Teleportation-Raven can disappear and re appear somewhere else using magic.

• Healing- She is hard to hurt, but is prepared in case she ever is. She knows a few healing spells. But they take extra concentration which can take her attention away from combat if she isn't careful.

• Flight- She has wings so this happens.

• Her wings are also useful for making powerful bursts of air to knock back enemies or aid in elemental spells.

Once the shroud of darkness faded away, the ground beneath of her feet disappeared and she began to fall. Raven gasped at the sudden sensation of falling and instinctively stretched out her wings to fly but was surprised to find it had no effect. There was no air in the atmosphere for them to catch. She recovered from the surprise quickly and instead summoned light magic to create a disc of compressed light directly under her feet like a platform. Once she landed on it, she stumbled a bit but managed to catch her balance. Once the initial crisis was out of the way, she finally had a chance to observe her surroundings. What she saw was bizarre. She first looked down to see how far away the ground was, just to see a seemingly endless chasm beneath her. There was no end that she could see. Unusually, that was all she could see in all directions. No sky, no landmarks in any direction. Upon further inspection, she could make out veins of energy running through the atmosphere in all directions. The more she focused on it, the more she could feel it. This was a place of great power, and it tugged at her from all directions and distorted her vision at the farthest reach. It was odd, but there was something about it that seemed familiar.
So this is the space that holds together all worlds... she speculated while she took a step forward, creating another platform to stand on as she walked forward. In the far distance, she could see the figure of a person, hovering in the air similarly to how was. That's got to be him... no normal person would be able to survive here.
She continued to use the compressed light to make the rest of the way over to him. "Ka-" she called out his name but her voice was overpowered by the sudden flair of a nearby pocket of energy. "Don't do this. I don't want to have to stop you."

 

The massive pillar of iron plowed into Raven seemingly too quickly for her to react. As it continued to grow, though, it seemed to veer off to the side before curling back like a peeled apple before suddenly half of the cylinder was broken off long ways, revealing an unharmed, though clearly startled, Raven in the center. She hovered a few feet back from where had prior to the growth of the iron tower. Her sword glowed brightly and was held upright in front of her body. There was a wedge shaped shield of compressed light energy that she had formed directly behind it, in front of herself, to split the tower in two halves that would push past her.
The compressed light energy suddenly wavered and expanded, sending a blast of light which broke away the two split ends of the pillar.

"I know enough." she answered his question vaguely while summoning a spear shaped compression of light energy which bolted at Kaiden with a flick of her wrist. "I feel the power that resides here, and I know you intend to try to access it. I'm asking you not to. It will destroy you." her warning was sincere though she wasn't expecting him to listen.

 

As Kaiden's shadow stalked around her one way, she kept her blade between herself and it. But her eyes never left Kaiden's. The way the two of them moved around her was predatory. She could tell an attack was coming but for the moment she didn't move, she simply watched Kaiden. "Be careful what you wish for-" she countered just before he and the shadow both launched to attack her. Exactly at that moment, there was another flair of energy that revealed the mortal realm. Raven's wings spread out to their full length and moved them down while summoning wind energy siphoned from the flair.
As the air was summoned and forced by Raven's wings, she was launched upward above the advance of Kaiden and his shadow making a singular spinning motion with her wings. Triggered by the twist of Raven's body/wings the summoned air created a powerful cyclone directly in between where Kaiden and his shadow were advancing. Still above the wind spell she had summoned, Raven brought a cupped hand in front of her face and blew into it. When she opened her palm, an open flame danced just above it. She brought back her arm and threw the flame into the cyclone, which ignited throwing a pillar of flame around the wind spell.

 

As the sphere of iron began to enclose around Raven, she stretched out her arms and four disk shapes were formed in front of her out of compressed light energy. With a gesture of her hands, each of them began to spin quickly like saw blades before flying of in four directions and cutting through the iron that threatened to capture her. As they met in the center, the light energy compressed to a point of becoming unstable and exploded outward, sending four crescent slivers of iron flying away in each direction. One, directly toward Kaiden. Raven jumped onto the flying hunk of metal for a moment before jumping off of it toward Kaiden to slash at him with her sword, which again began to glow with light.
The iron was pushed away as Raven kicked off of it, as she had intended to keep it as far from her enemy as possible.

 

The sudden change of Kaiden's tactics did surprise Raven. Momentarily, the surprise did show in her face as she threw up a shield to try to block the bullets. Her wings spread out harshly and flapped forward in front of her body to push her back away as the bullets broke through her shield. As the shield shattered, the compressed light also became unstable. Each individual shattered piece of her shield exploded with bright light, creating a firework like effect that limited the sight of anyone close to it. Through the flash of light, Raven could be seen once again charging forward, seemingly unfazed by the barrage of bullets that came her way. Her form wavered slightly when a bullet grazed her cheek. But she ignored it as a circle of spear like shapes formed from her magic in a halo like form behind her. With a gesture of her arms, the spears each flew at Kaiden at various speeds. Each still moved fast enough to escape the sight of the normal human eye.
Nearby, a one of the many veins of energy was becoming dangerously close to becoming unstable.
