Kage was waiting for Kawi to answer him when a girl ran up with her weapon drawn. After she finished talking Kage gave a slight smile. "I am Kage, one of Lord Masen's most trusted Forgotten generals. I am here for Kawi and if he gives himself up, I can promise you I will leave immeadietely. If not I believe I can take on him and you, little girl." Kage drew out his sword and held it in his right hand in reverse grip as he held his left in front of him. "Now Kawi, will you come peacefully? Or must I use force?"

    Kawi glared at Kage.
"No, I will not bow down to the darkness any longer. I will help the resistance defeat the Dark Order and you're by yourself in the Resistance Headquarters, which is a bad move on your part. There are many of us and one of you."
The handle of his keyblade was fuming with darkness but the blade was shining bright like an inferno.

"True, I am in the resistance headquarters. However right now, I only see two that I must fight. And I believe the rest will be... distracted." As if on cue, the castle shook as the Heartless Kage arrived with began attacking the castle. It's attacks were stopped by the Cornerstone of Light but the shockwave of them still shook the castle itself. "Your friends will be far too busy dealing with the Heartless to notice us. You know, I must thank you Kawi. It was your dark heart that let us finally find the resistance. In fact, you were allowed to leave because we knew they'd 'rescue' you. We've been planning this for a few months now. So, thank you. You've played your part well." Kage had made up the 'planned' part but it was no lie that it was because of Kawi that they finally located the Castle. He taunted him in the hopes that he would just give up. Meanwhile the Heartless kept attacking the Castle.

Anger started to grow inside Kawi. The fear of his darkness affecting the Resistance grew immensely and as he looked back at Nozomi, his eyes were red. He looked at her with a sad look and he knew that he was a fool.
    "I am so sorry"
He clenched his left fist and it started to grow black like a heartless. He turned towards Kage.
"You will pay for everything that you have done" he muttered, his voice sounding deeper and more malevolent.
He dashed towards Kage and grabbed his throat with his black hand.
"You will leave this place immediately and if you do not listen, I will kill you with no mercy. DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?" he screamed at him. His clothes changed to a black robe, symbolic of Organization 13. His hood was up and his face was covered. Scars formed on his face and his left hawk yellow like eye and right red eye beamed towards Kage.

Kage grabbed Kawi's wrist and tightly squeezed causing him to let go of his throat. "I'm not leaving without you, Kawi. And if you want to stay, then perhaps you should control your darkness. I doubt the resistance will let such a dark entity such as yourself to taint the pure light of this world." Kage let go of Kawi's wrist and stepped back a few feet. He held up his left hand and pointed towards the wall on his right. A corridor of darkness formed instantly. "That leads back to Hollow Bastion. This is your final chance. Will you go willingly?"

Kawi felt the Cornerstone of Light strike through his heart and his skin turned back to pale white and a look of sadness shot through his face. He closed his eyes.
"Nozomi, I'm sorry. Take care of yourself. I care about..." his voice drifted as he lost consciousness. The experiment fell down in Kage's arms. A heartless in the outline of a boy was standing, trying to listen into what was going on.
"He is so much like his ancestor. I'll be sure to kill him, when Masen has finished using him. I failed the first time at Neverland but this time, I am much stronger."

"Alright that settles it!" Zack shouted above the noise. They had been here for around ten minutes or so and already he had enough. "Both Dominic and Bell will be on clean up duty for three weeks" And with that Zack walked out the room not listening to the protests of the annoyed people. I need to clear my head Zack thought as made his way to his room. Gahh..If I go to my room I'm only going to be interrupted with some stupid problem He thought to himself irritably. Zack couldn't think of anywhere he could go without being asked to sort something out of asked about some small matter.

"I wonder if Crystal is at her ship" He said aloud to himself. Zack turned around and began heading to the docking bay were the damaged Gummi ship was. After avoiding a few people known to come to Zack about every little thing and brushing some other people off he finally arrived to the bay. To his disappointment there were some resistance there, none of whom he could see were Crystal. "This area is off limits for repairs" Zack said not bothering with some formality's. They all quickly left without a word. Being leader did have some benefits. Now if only he could get others to leave him alone that easily. Zack saw that the ship was open. "Crystal?. You there?"

Nozomi was startled by the change in the boy who she had helped save from the Hollow Bastion. She barely knew him but a sick feeling entered her heart as she thought that maybe she wouldn't be able to help but then she dashed forward and slashed her sword at Kage, knowing that he would either have to dodge or block her and either way he wouldn't be able to keep a hold on Kage to do it "I told you already." she said "You aren't getting to him without going through me." she warned, she may have looked more harmless than other members of the Resistances (not including the refugees or Crystle who was always harmless until angred).

Crystle took a step outside and felt a little better, breathing in the fresh air helped her to clear her head and be able to think about what she just agreed to. She now had the heart of the last completely light keyblade weilder in exsistance inside of her for who knows how long. She would have to protect him... or it... whatever, nomatter what. That put her in an odd position with how secretive she could be about it. She certainly didn't want the entire Resistance knowing for fear of spies who would be able to tell dark officials. She thought about telling Zack but as the leader, it would be his job to keep the resistance informed about everything that was going on. She trusted him fully but if the people found out he kept a secret like that it would put him in a bad position. She decided if he ever got suspicious she would have to tell him but for now, 'dont ask dont tell.' She ran her hand through her hair again, playing her fingers through the blue streak again as she walked down the path toward the place she had left Chibi. As she reached the bay she climbed down the stairs into the garage and was annoyed to find that there were still resistance people in there. She would have much preferred to work alone. They seemed to notice that because as she passed through a lot of them walked out the door but they did remain somewhere in the building, just in a different room than her or outside the door. "Hey ol' girl." she said softly as she climbed up onto the ship and examined the place where the heartless ship had ramed them. "Ouch. Lets see what we can do to fix that." she said as she climbed back down and went inside the ship to get her supplies. SHe got about halfway in and then realized that she left her tools on the bridge just before takeoff. She didn't want them to get lost somehow on the mission. With a soft growl, she walked back out of the ship and started for the door to the bridge. She left the door open, knowing that she would be back soon and wouldn't have to worry about anyone highjacking it.

It took her little time at all to reach the bridge because it was not very far from the bay. *bridge is where they takeoff just thought I would mention that incase I'm saying it wrong* She looked around at the ground where she had left them but they were nowhere to be found. "Thats odd.." she muttered, wondering if someone had moved them. She began to turn back in the direction that she came from but she thought she saw something move from the corner of her eye. Her head turned back toward the odd movement but she saw nothing but shadows that couldn't be seen from the moonlight that was comming in from the window. She sighed, wondering if it was Kilet playing a trick again "Kilet if thats you I'm going to get Nozomi out here." she warned, knowing that wasn't much of a thread because he was more intrigued with her than afraid of her but she was one of the only people that he couldn't scare with his suprises. She walked toward the shadows but as she got closer she saw nothing. A confused frown replaced her original expression and she looked back in the direction she had come but still saw nothing.

Suddenly, she felt something cold wrap around her ankle. It only took a second for her to realize what was going on but by that time it was too late. Her attacker pulled up on her ankle and caused her to lose her balance. She managed to catch herself with her hands and then she swung her hand up to hit whoever it was that had attacked her. Her elbow came hard in contact with some body part of her attacker but she wasn't sure what. But the sound of protest from the blow wasn't what she expected. It wasn't the sound of a moogle or a human. It was a high, unpleasant shreik and it was accompanied by more howls similar from outside. The moonlight from outside was blocked and Crystle looked up to the window but saw nothing but black.

Thinking quickly, Crystle raised up her hand, it came in contact with some other thing she couldnt' see but it felt like a claw. whatever it was it slashed through her wrist. SHe bit her tongue to prevent herself from crying out mostly from suprise. "FIre!" she commanded. A ball of fire rose from her hand and into the air, illuminating the shadowed part of the room and a sight that Crystle never thought she would see at Disney Castle even if the Cornerstone of light only protected places a certain amount away before it couldn't reach anymore. She was surrounded by heartless. They were all a tall form of shadows but there were so many of them. Crystle got over her suprise just in time to roll out of the way as the three of them(three that she had originally mistaken as one human being) swung down clawed fingers toward her. Their attacks stuck into the ground seconds after Crystle rolled away and picked herself up off the floor. She looked at the fire she had created in the air that she knew wasn't going to last forever. She would have to think of something to do and she would have to think fast, blocking attacks from the heartless, she ran back toward the place that she had come and quite a few of them followed her. Crystle would have to stop them from getting out of this room, it would be too dangerous to the rest of the resistance who were also too far away from the castle to be protected by the Cornerstone. So instead dhe decided she would have to trap them, here in this room, until she could get help of other members to kill all of them.

She crossed the bridge and pulled the leaver that would pull up the bridge, turning it into a giant steel door that blocked the way between the bay, the sky, and the rest of the castle from that direction. Now that that was taken care of the only way out was the window.

The light was faiding quickly and she was still standing on the steel bridge as it angled up toward the ceiling. She kept standing there with her sword drawn, killing any heartless that tried to pass her and get out before the door would close. But as it got steeper, She began sliding down. She remained on her feet, feeling a bit like she was snowboarding on steel. Eventually the gap was finally tight enough that the heartless wouldn't be able to slip through it even if they did manage to climb past Crystle. So Crystle jumped off of the bridge (which was now almost at a 85degree angle from the floor) and she landed on her feet on the ground below. One heartless attempted to suprise her again but this time she was more alert than before and she kicked it aside.

"Ok... escape one taken care of now how do I get out without them." she thought to herself, casting a fire spell in a ring around her that knocked the heartless back away to give herself enough time to think and look around.

She then realized what she would have to do, the window was the only way out. It was on the ceiling and it led out to the roof but there was a ladder outside she could use to get back to the ground. And she could use some light magic to block the way for the heartless to follow her. With that idea in mind she took off running toward the latter that led up the wall toward the window. The heartless seemed to know exactly what she was thinking because those of them closest to the wall began to beat at the latter, trying to knock it down. "great" she thought sarcastically as she picked up speed. She cast an ice spell on the latter, freezing the bolts in a ball of ice to make it harder for them to break. Crystle never had to rely on magic this much before and she didn't like the feeling but it wasn’t too hard to ignore it. She jumped onto the latter without faltering her speed at all and began to climb but her ice spell was wearing off quickly and as she was perused onto it with the creatures still beating on it, she could tell it wasn’t going to last much longer. She climbed as quickly as possible, ignoring the fact that there were a few of the heartless that were grabbing for her ankles as they perused her. Had she not been distracted with the situation she was in, she would have wondered why she couldn’t see the sky or the moon outside the window above her. She quickly rammed her elbow into the window but it wouldn’t move. Below she could tell that the heartless who were also climbing were catching up and she had to reach her had away from the window to grip onto the latter with both hands when the heartless managed to knock a few bolts out of the bottom rung. She was running out of time. She used her sword to kill a few heartless that were still grasping her leg and then jabbed it upward on the latch at the window, finally breaking it open enough to crawl out.

Just as she crawled out she reached her hand out to the opening and used the light in her heart, avoiding draining the light of the key blade wielder too, to summon some light from the cornerstone to prevent the heartless from crossing the opening of the window. Breathing hard, she watched the heartless at the top of the latter reach up only to get destroyed by the roughly created barrier of light Crystle had used. “That should hold them… for now at least.” she said to herself, standing up. “Why are heartless here anyway? I better get help-” she was whispering to herself as she turned around to find the latter that would lead to the ground outside the gummi ship garage but she stopped mid-turn as she saw what was blocking the moonlight and it was an a lot worse sight than what she had just got done facing “-Great…” she said looking up at the enormous Darkside that was standing there, staring beyond her at the castle with a great orb of dark energy the size of the Cornerstone, floating above it’s black, steady clawed palm. “Out of the kettle and into the fire.” she thought to herself, shaking her head with an exasperated look on her face. She pulled out her sword as the gigantic heartless sensed her heat and Tom’s. It turned it’s head to look down at her, towering over her even as she stood on the rooftop of a tall building. And then it reached down to her. Crystle dodged out of it’s way, losing her balance when it’s hand brushed against her side. She rolled a few times down the side of the roof and then caught her balance well enough to jump off of the building, landing on her feet in the grass. The heartless’s hand hit the roof of the building and she saw the force shake the entire roof. She hoped it would withstand the force enough to keep the lesser heartless trapped.

The Darkside looked back down at Crystle, “Way to go.” she said to it sarcastically “You alerted anyone who may have heard you slap the ceiling…” she just hoped it was someone strong enough to take on an army and a monster.

Just as he said that, the roof shook and a few things even fell off. Something had hit it with great force from the outside. And then a voice came on from the receiver of Chibi next to Zack. It was Crystles “If anyone is even remotely close enough to hear this…” the signal was interrupted by static for a moment and then it was back “…I repeat, backup is needed by the outside of the bridge. Don’t go inside, come around.-” Another interruption “…dangerous.” That was the end of the message.

Kage could easily tell what the girl was planning. However she hadn't accounted for anything he might be able to do. He quickly gripped Kawi with his left hand and swung his right arm forward to parry the blow. When their swords collided the result was them being pushed away from each other. "You're stronger than you look, little girl. But like I said, I am one of Lord Masen's Forgotten Generals. While it's true I cannot take on the whole of the resistance by my lonesome, do you think it wise to challenge me by yourself?" Kage quickly pushed Kawi down next to the wall to keep him out of the way. From just one glance he could tell what happened to him. You let your darkness grow too large. You didn't have Lord Masen's protection, so the Cornerstone shut you down. Foolish move Kawi, you should've controlled it like I said. Kage got into his stance, his knees bent with his right arm in front of himself holding his blade at the ready. "Before we begin, little girl, a question. What is your name? I prefer to know the fighters I kill."

"Ke-ke-ke-ke-KEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Kilet cackled gleefully, sighting the Darkside from the bell tower he called his room. "First the griping duo, and now a toy for Kilet to play with! Hoooraaay!"

Thankfully, his place of residence was the highest point around, which made his Nevermore ability all the more effective. So, he did just that - he summoned his wings and took flight, making a beeline for the giant heartless. The massive being shot orbs of darkness into the air which the Carver dodged with ease while he conjured up several pumpkins and Ignited them, then using ghost arms to launch them at high speed at his foe. By the time he had reached the mass of darkness, the pumpkins had exploded in a brilliant blast, allowing him to fly directly into the face of the massive being and attempt to knock it down. His knife gleamed in the moonlight as he plunged it into the eyes of the Darkside all the while spewing flame from the coveted staff he carried.

The most recent resistance group has left this world, returning to their base. My generals tell me that their mission was a simple reconnaissance mission. There was no way they could have known of Kawi's existence. And then.... That keyblade master. Somehow that knowledge still exists. At first I suspected I was the only one who knew of a master's powers. Especially that of the heart removal. That keyblade master's heart.... It will be useful with future experiments. Perhaps as a fail safe if Kawi fails. The most intriguing thing of their assault was one of the resistance members. Her heart is like Kawi's. She is our next experiment. With her.... Perhaps more keyblade memories will be absorbed. She too, will be used as a fail safe for Kawi's possible faliure.

Nozomi hesitated to tell her name to this general of the Dark Order. She didn't know him but her name was still widely known in the Dark Order as the daughter of Shane, the man who had captured Kawi. He was also a high ranking scientist and general in the Dark Order and he had placed her on the list of 'wanted persons' since the week after she went missing to join the Resistance. Not that it wasn’t already bad that the Dark Order knew where Disney Castle was, but she would rather keep her identity a secret to keep her father ignorant about whether or not she was alive. With that in mind she just decided to give the man her name so to not raise suspicion but she gave the English translation of it “My name isn’t that important.” she said, “But I may as well tell you so you can tell Hadies who sent you. My name is Hope.”

Crystle smiled a bit when Kilet showed up. She hadn’t seen a dark side in a while and though they weren’t difficult, they were a pain take down alone. “Watch out for the bridge.” she warned Kilet as he got within range for him to hear “I managed to lock hundreds of them in there. Wouldn’t want them getting around town.”

*Yes I did mean town. Not all people among the resistance are fighters. Some are just light refugees who need protection*

"Well then, Hope, I'll make sure that will be carved onto your tombstone." Kage gripped his blade tighter and rushed at her. As he got close he spun himself to add momentum to his attack, a slash at her head. Since he wielded his blade in reverse grip, it seemed like a punch aimed off to her side with a sword coming out of his arm. As he attacked he made sure to keep an eye on Kawi, though it was hard because something was bothering him. This girl, now that I can concentrate on her, something seems strange about her. What though, I can't say. I can only hope that I will realize it in this fight.

*I've recieved permission to take control of Nozomi/Hope*

Hope looked at Kage and as he came towards her, she managed to step back to avoid his attacks. She looked at Kawi and felt a rage within her. She was angry that Disney Castle was now being attacked and they infiltrated the castle by using Kawi. Her blade was gripped in her hand and she attempted to slash her enemy's legs to make him unbalanced. She needed to help Kawi escape. The voice told her that he was important.

Kawi was now gasping. The cornerstone was now sapping away the energy away from him. He started to forget who he was and he saw himself plunge into a black atmosphere inside his consciousness.

Kage sighed as Hope dodged his attack. He was hoping for her to parry so he could test his strength against hers. One thing he never did was underestimate an enemy. There could always be some trick or attack that could change the flow of battle. The fact that Hope had jumped back signaled to Kage that either she was weak or wanted to avoid a direct conflict. He was assuming the first until she tried to attack him. So she was just getting into position. Well then perhaps I should disrupt her. Since Hope was aiming at his legs he quickly jumped over the sword and once he landed he did a quick spin kick to her legs, hoping to trip her like she just attempted to him.

  16. Ventus

Hope, after the kick to the legs, went down to her knees but almost immediately she got up and casted a large ball of fire towards Kage (Firaga) so he would back away.
"This guy's tough" she thought, clenching her sword, which was facing Kage. "But I'm better"
She started to run at him but as she was about to strike, she glew and disappeared but a second later, she was behind him and tried to run him through. He was too dangerous to keep alive.

  17. GrandShadow

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

Kage quickly slashed the Firaga in half, its pieces safely flew past his sides and into the ground behind him. What he barely noticed in time was that Hope had vanished and appeared behind him. He wasn't going to be able to parry in time without using his ability so instead he rolled to the side, causing Hope to rush right past him. As Kage stood, he gave a quick glance towards Kawi. The Cornerstone is draining him. He let his darkness go out of control and now he's facing the consequences. However I need him alive, so I must remove him from the Cornerstone's influence quickly. Hope must be killed or subdued immediately. As Kage turned back to Hope he focus some of his darkness into his sword. His blade began to glow with black smoke when a there was suddenly a flash of light and the glow was gone. Kage was surprised but didn't show it. He was slightly expecting this, but had hoped that Lord Masen's protective power would allow it. "Consider yourself lucky, Hope. The Cornerstone is negating a portion of my skills. Your death won't be as swift." Kage quickly rushed in at Hope and began a barrage of slashes and kicks.

    Nozomi grinned.
"Are you sure you will kill me?"
She waved and disappeared. She reappeared by Kawi and held him up.
"Bye, Kage. We may see each other again and that is when we will fight but now, goodbye"
YouTube - Beyond Good and Evil Soundtrack- 'Peace'
They vanished from sight and they reappeared in a different world, covered by rotting rainforest trees and ash was on top of the burnt grass. They were in Deep Jungle. Nozomi fell on the floor exhausted. Transporting so much in the matter of five minutes is very dangerous for one being to take but Nozomi wasn't any other being. On the floor, she looked at Kawi.
"I was told he's important and Zack put me in charge of him" she thought. "But the castle is being attacked...I shouldn't leave them like that. I have to..."
Her hand started glowing but she stopped. Nozomi was too tired. She couldn't go back if she tried. All she could do was hope that they'd be okay and stay put until her energy was back. On the other hand though, Kawi was safe and an essential part of both the resistance and the Dark Order's plan was with her. Kawi turned to face her. His energy was gradually restoring.
    "Thank you...Hope..."
Kawi's eyes closed and he fell to sleep. The skies were dark because it was now at night. Nozomi yawned and felt exhausted. Before she could fall asleep, she decided to survey the area. She scanned the dead brown bushes and the leaves that overhung them, in a circle. All she could hear were crickets. There was nothing sinister around them. Nozomi wanted to make a campfire but because of the energy she used, she couldn't even get up. They would have to do without it. Nozomi closed her eyes and breathed in the mildly sooty air. She sighed, wishing the world was the way it used to be but eventually she too, fell into a deep sleep.

She ran when she saw my power was superior. Smart choice. However she took Kawi, and I can't sense him on this world anymore. If I am to track him down then I need to get a ship. Before that though, I believe I should at least attempt to locate this keybladers heart. Kage thought as he calmly sheathed his sword. He once again began walking the halls of the castle, although now without any attempt at stealth. If he happened to come accross someone and they challenged them then he would take appropriate measures. Logically, the keybladers heart should be filled with more light than any in this castle. Especially if my fear is correct and it has already found a carrier to host it. So now to find the brightest heart in the castle.

Taking Crystle's voice's advice, Zack quickly ran back oustide of the bay wondering what on earth was going on. The building shook because of some force that had hit the roof. He ran through the cold night air around the building but it didn't take him too long to find what was causing distress, the thing was a lot taller than any of the buildings. A darkside heartless stood towering over the trees and buildings and Zack could see Kilet flying around causing damage to it. That must be what Crystle had contacted Chibi's speaker about, it's not every day dark creatures got past the help of the Cornerstone. He sped up his run into a sprint as he pulled out his sword to help Crystle and Kilet.

Zack reached the scene just in time to hear Crystle make that announcement and that made him feel all the more worse about the situation. How had they all gotten here? Was it that boy? He thought that to himself as he showed up. After looking over Crystle and Kilet to make sure they weren't too badly hurt he looked up at the massive creature who was attacking Disney Castle. "The Order must have found us." he muttered with a whispered cuss word. He didn't have much time to speak after that as the creature shot dark energy at him and Crystle on the ground with one hand and Kilet with the other. He grabbed Crystle's hand and pulled her out of the way. The grass on the ground where they had been standing before was dead when the heartlesses power had stopped.

Zack then looked at Crystle "Go find Nozomi and that boy." he said as he stood up and faced the creature again "Kilet and I can take it from here."

"Why do they matter right now?" Crystle prostested "I dont want to leave you guys against this thing alone."

"Kilet and I can handle it." Zack said again and gave Crystle a gentle push in the direction back to the castle to reinforce what he said "I'll explain later." partly he didn't want to explain it to her because he didn't even know for sure himself why he wanted to see Kawi and Nozomi. He just felt like for some reason the heartless had something to do with Kawi and Nozomi seemed to get an attatchment with the kid since they found him.
