Kingdom Hearts: The Resistance

Zack had made his way to his living quarters, not without the difficulties of been asked about the mission or questions about what should be done here and there. As he walked into his room he quickly closed the door, took his belt off flung in on his dresser, took off his boots and jacket and jumped onto his bed. You'd think someone around here was able to make a decision other than me around here he thought to himself. Zack reached over towards his bedside table and grabbed a remote and pushed the play button, this activated a CD player he had set up and some soft music began to play. There wasn't anything significant about the music but when he listened to it it cleared his mind of everything for as long as possible.

Zack was dozing off and he had just closed his eyes when an obnoxious knock came to the door. "Excuse me sir?" he heard behind the door. Zack didn't answer in hopes that they would just let him be. Then the knock came again followed by "Sir are you in there?" With a sigh Zack stood up, walked to the door and opened it to find a young man there. "First of all don't call me sir, and second of all what is it?" He asked trying not to show his impatience. Apparently he wasn't doing a very good job at it because the guy said "Sorry for bothering you but there is another argument happening in the front court. And some of us thought that it would be wise to come get you before it got out of hand again." Zack rubbed his eyes and went and sat on his bed leaving the door open. "Why didn't you get someone like Nozomi or even Hooper?" he asked putting on his boots. "We felt it was something you should sort out yourself sir" he said with abit of attitude behind it. "Alright then" Zack said standing up and walking out his room closing the door behind him. "Show me were the commotion is." he said gesturing to the young man to lead.

Zack had been lead to the main garden and he saw to large groups divided on either side of the garden. There were however two people in the middle having an argument. As he got closer Zack saw that one was a young woman who had on several occasions gone above and beyond on some of the smaller missions he had lead them on and the other a young man who he wasn't particularly fond of. He wasn't fond of him for a couple of reasons, the major one been the young man felt Zack wasn't leading the resistance in the right direction and felt he should engage the darkness in a full on war rather than the missions they had been doing. "What's happening here?" Zack said as he got closer to the two. "And here comes our fearless leader" The guy said sarcasticly. "Shut up you moron!" the girl said in Zack's defence. "Its always a pleaser Dominic" Zack said "And thank you Bell. But what's going on here." There was a silence for five minutes before Zack finally said "Alright fine, both of you will meet me in the throne room in a half an hour. And this had better be good" He said before turning around to make his way back his room.

 

Leonardo's eyes remained closed has he felt the fluids pumping into his veins giving him nutrients while he slept. He opened his eyes and blinked a few times. He looked to his left and saw that he was hooked up to a barometer that monitored his biorythms. He scoffed in the back of his mind and thought, "Come on guys, really? A few gashes and I'm the one in the bed?" He sat up and sighed as he felt his nude bottom rub against the sheet of the infirmary bed and his touched his clothy apron. He looked to his left and saw others who were probably in worse condition than him. "Humph, why do I have to be someone's baby?"

 

Kage walked the halls of the castle on his way to Masen's chambers. All around him were signs of a struggle and servents cleaning up the aftermath of it. Kage ignored them and continued on his way, Masen would be able to give him the answers he needed, if Masen deemed that he even needed to know them. As he neared Masen's chambers he detected a faint feeling of light. So there were light beings here? Then Masen likely fought them or encountered some trouble. Kage braced himself for a likely punishment or sight he would regret seeing before he opened the doors and entered. "Lord Masen, what is it that happened here? Is there anything I can do for you?"

 

Kawi smiled but then was curious. She looked like she was hiding something in her eyes. Something deep....
He shook his head though. It was probably nothing. They continued to walk around the castle and they entered inside a dim circular room with computers and wires hanging loosely on the ceiling. Kawi thought they looked like spiderwebs. In the centre of the room was a green hologram of worlds, which illuminated the room. One world looked like Hollow Bastion, Kawi's home. He was glad he left that godforsaken place, as he stared at the world. A woman in white waitress like clothing touched the hologram and it spinned. It stopped spinning and the entire galaxy was shown.
"Wow..." Kawi murmured with his mouth wide open.
"Yeah, it's great" the lady spoke to him. "You must be new, right?"
"Yes, I am"
The woman smiled at Nozomi and turned back towards the 13-year-old.
"This is the communications room. Agents around the worlds report to us what is going on"
Kawi nodded and turned towards Nozomi.
"Hey Nozomi, why don't you give her the disc from Tron?"
"Tron? I remember Tron. How is he?"
"I think he's been erased"
The woman looked saddened at the answer.

 

"The boy has escaped with a new resistance group. Their base is located at Disney Castle. The Cornerstone of Light protects them from us. And as for the damage to this office...." Masen conjured up an image of Tom. "This person did this. He is the last keyblade master. He has separated his heart from his body. I do not believe his nobody will do anything against us. But we need to find his heart. It too is probably at Disney Castle." Dark energy flowed from Masen into Kage. "I have given you the strength to enter Disney Castle. Retrieve Kawi and the keyblade master's heart."

Crystle's consciousness was suddenly transported away. It appeared on top of a large tower. The floor of the tower was of a stained glass image. The image was of Tom with his keyblade in hand, back to back with Motx and his katanas. A small orb of light floated down to her. "Do you mind..... If I reside in your body? At least until my body is ready?" The orb asked her.

>The orb is Tom's heart. Regardless of Crystle's answer, the moment was only a second in real life, so Zack wouldn't notice anything different with Crystle. And Hope, if Crystle agrees, would you mind Crystle getting a streak of blue hair? Just to show Tom's heart is residing in her body?<

 

"Understood sir. It shall be done." Kage turned and left. As he was going down the hall from Masen's cambers he thought of how he should go about retrieving the target. A corrider of darkness would automatically give him away since the castle likely has a darkness detection system. So a ship would be best. A good thing they could track Kawi due to their expieraments on him, otherwise Disney Castle would be impossible to find. As Kage entered the hanger he was greeted by a group of humans that served willingly. "Where to, sir?"

"Give me the fastest ship available and set it to track down the escaped expierament Kawi." They showed him to a large black Heartless with a small cockpit built into it's head. The Heartless was five yards long and jet black, save for the large emblem located between its yellow eyes. It had four limbs, each with a foot long wing attached. The limbs were acting as landing gear now but Kage knew they would become weapons once in the air. Kage climbed into the cockpit as the humans set the Heartless to locate Kawi. The process took a minute but then they backed off as the creature leapt into the air and flew into the air. From a speaker in the cockpit, Kage was told by the humans, "Sir, the Heartless will reach Kawi's loaction in approximately an hour. Once there it will float in the atmosphere and obey any verbal commands you give it. It's excellent for combat so we suggest using it to fight the opposition while you do what you need to."
"Don't assume you pathetic humans can tell me what to do." Without another word the Heartless sped off into the blackness of space.

 

Kilet sneezed. Now, if another person sneezed, it would mean somebody would be talking about the victim. In Kilet's case, it meant bad luck was heading his way. Being a resident of Halloweentown told him the difference between 'good' bad luck and 'terrible' bad luck - and it was not the good kind this time. Ignoring this omen, he entered the throne room. He loved to watch a good chastisement any day, and he knew that this would be especially interesting given that Dominic was involved. And so, he walked up a pillar and sat on it and waited, mysteriously defying not only gravity but also logic.

 

"Crystal." Zack said a small smile coming to his lips. "To be honest I'm not to sure what's happening. My guess is that Dominic was expressing his opinions and was abit to outspoken with them and Bell had something to say about it. Iv told them to meet me in the throne room so we could discuss it in greater detail" He told her. Zack wasn't in the mood to deal with little quarrels between members right now. In fact all he wanted to do was sleep. But the resistance came first, no matter how small the predicament.

"Anyway.." Zack said changing the subject. "Your not looking to well, have you been to the medic?" He said as the two entered the castle.

 

Kage was deep in thought, formulatting his plan of action when he was jerked back to reality by a loud beeping. The Heartless ship was nearing Disney Castle. As Kage looked out the cockpit he could clearly see the world. It looked just as it had during the Mouse rule, the only difference was the castle looked more defensive. The ship pulled in as close as it could but suddenly seemed to hit an invisible wall. The Cornerstone... I must proceed alone from here. Kage thought. Luckily the ship was blocked within the atmosphere of the world and not in the vast emptiness of space, otherwise his mission would have come to a halt there. Kage opened up the cockpit and yelled out to the ship. "In five minutes begin attacking the castle. The Cornerstone will block you but no matter what continue the assault. You need to draw there attention so that I may complete my mission in secret." The Heartless blinked as if to say it understood. Kage then stood up on the edge of the ship. He closed his eyes, spread his arms wide and calmly fell off towards the hard ground below.

He didn't get very far before he started feeling the effects of the cornerstone trying to expel him from the world. There was a pressure on his body, as if he was getting pushed into himself from all sides. He was about to think he wouldn't be able to take it when suddenly his body glowed a dark purple, a small veil of smoke shrouding him. The glow and smoke vanished and Kage no longer felt the pressure. Thank you Lord Masen, your gift was most useful. Kage thought as he came towards the ground. To slow himself down Kage manuevered himself to be closer to the castle walls. When he was within a couple feet of the wall, he drew his sword and dug it's temepered metal into the wall. As he continued to fall, the sword cut a deep gash into the wall and began slowing his descent. As the ground seemed to rush up to meet him he pulled his sword from the wall and hit the ground with a roll to reduce the impact. He quickly got up and hid by a few bushes as he brushed the dirt off himself. He sheathed his sword and looked around to see where he was. Kage was right outside the main entrance to the castle. Kage sighed as he saw he'd have to climb the wall to get inside. He tried looking for the best entrance when he saw a small wind, barely large enough for him to squeese through. So troublesome... Kage thought as he leapt onto the wall and began climbing.

 

"Yes." The heart answered back. "I was fighting Masen. But then the battle turned in his favor. I released my heart from my body in order to survive. But I don't know how much longer I can last outside a body. And my body is not yet prepared for my heart to return to it."

Motx stood, at a beach in the darkness, listening to the sound of the calm waves. Being a Nobody, Motx was never bothered by any creature of the dark. He could do as he pleased.

 

"Thank you." The heart spoke. It slowly floated into Crystle. As soon as it joined with her, Crystle's consciousness returned to her conversation with Zack.

No time had passed during Crystle's encounter with Tom's heart. All that changed was that Crystle now had a streak of blue in her hair because of Tom. (Unless of course Hope doesn't want that.)

 

Kage was hiding behind a corner at a hallway intersection. He had managed to get in the window from outside and was now sneaking around the castle in search of his targets. Kawi first, as a boy is easier to find than a heart. I don't know how Lord Masen expects me to bring back that keybladers heart anyways. It could even be hiding in another being by now, making it impossible to locate in a place like this, filled to the brim with hearts of light. Kage leaned tightly against the wall as a couple people walked by. Kage quickly glanced down the intersecting hallways before closing his eyes. Kawi's dark feeling heart... he's that way. Kage took another quick glance before rushing silently donw the hallway.

 

Zack was a little surprised when Crystal suddenly tripped. "Alright, come on I'm taking you to the infirmary" he said picking her up by her waist and putting her arm around his shoulder. "You need to take more care of yourself. Your the best pilot we have, and one of the only ones that talks to me like I'm normal. So it would be a great loss if something were to happen to you." He said with a smile.

Zack took the opportunity to think of things while walking Crystal to the infirmary. Crystals ship had been pretty badly damaged during the last mission. Did they have enough parts to repair it. They would possibly need to take parts from the other two ships, It would put them at a disadvantage but Zack knew how much that ship meant to Crystal, and it was the only ship she would fly. But he would worry about that later. He changed his thought about what he should say to Dominic and Bell. There was a chance other people would be there, mainly because some of them saw it as a form of entertainment. He would first have to find out what there argument was about. Then Zack felt something strange. It was a strange feeling...as if something wasn't right. Zack put the thought to the back of his mind when they arrived at the medic centre.

"Here we are" Zack said as he pushed a door open and brought Crystal inside. "Can we get a check up here?"

 

Kawi heard an ear-piercing sound, which sounded like a dog yelping. He looked to the right and sensed a presence. It was bad news. Very bad news. He could feel the presence's hatred for the light and he looked at Nozomi.
"There's someone in the castle. He's from the Dark Order."
Kawi stood up from his seat and summoned his keyblade.
"Get everyone ready to fight and protect the cornerstone."
Kawi wanted to protect his new found friends and return the favor of being saved. He stormed down the hallways, ready to face the new threat.

 

Kage was hiding while rushing through the halls to find Kawi when he happened to glance down a side hall to see Kawi actually rushing down a hall himself. Kage calmly stepped out in front of Kawi's path and held up his left hand. "I'm only going to say this once Kawi. I'm here for you, surrender yourself and I can promise you the rest will be left alone. Fight and I will attack any that get involved." Kage placed his right hand on his sword handle, ready to draw it if Kawi decided to attack.
