Sora received it only because Riku chose the darkness. And since Sora was near the destination of the keyblade, it quickly chose him.

 

Wrong Keep Trying, because if that was true, then it wouldn't have went back to him in Hollow Bastion

 

He only got it back because he took it back, because since he was the original keyblade wielder he was also able to wield it and then Sora takes it back later by proving himself to it.

My question is
Why Did Sora Get The Keyblade On Destiny Islands, Instead Of Riku?

*hint* you have to know alot, and it takes research, its not even mentioned in the game

 

Okay I think I got it x3pic ^^... Tell me if I'm wrong though... On the final night of Destiny Islands, Riku's heart's strength weakened (He went into the darkness and vanishes). And because of that it went to the next strongest heart, Sora's.

Well I guess since nobody got it, I might as well ask you... Why did Sora get the keyblade on Destinys Island and Riku didn't?? And also how did you figure it out x3pic :3

 

Ha, Sora basically snatched the Keyblade from Rikus Heart. let me say thats the easiest way to put it. It was trying to go to riku, but sora litteraly reached into rikus heart and took it.

Nomura: That part is also a bit vague. In the Destiny Islands when Riku is swallowed by the darkness, there's a sparkle of light, and next comes the scene where Sora first gets the Keyblade, right? In my setting, the darkness wrapping itself around those two is the darkness of Riku's heart. At the moment when Sora enters that darkness, the light you can see is the light of the heart. Sora, trying to help Riku, struggling in the darkness, touches that light and temporarily the Keyblade goes to Sora.

 

Sorry but that is a false interview. The real answer is basically the start of that quote.

That is it, that is all that happened, Riku was being swallowed by the darkness, a sparkle of light, that being the keyblade appeared, and Riku disappeared with the darkness so then the keyblade chose Sora.

Well, how many times have you seen Nomura give something away in full description? There is not one interview where he states anything in full, and i certainly have never seen one in which he explains any secrets of his games.

But at least you know Kairi was in Sora's heart and that was why Sora felt as though he knew Hollow Bastion on that slide.
