Kingdom Hearts: Origins

Jordan jumped when Will put a hand on him but quickky relaxed, once seeing it was him. "Oh, haha, thanks man. Some birthday though, huh? I guess cake could possibly fix this...just maybe." Jordan smiled as he continued on to the first district only to see the strangers from earlier beginning to lead them. It wasn't too long until they arrived at the front of the store. Jordan began to yawn and looked up to the tower which was covered up slightly from the buildings. "As soon as we get this stuff, I'm definitely getting some rest," Jordan said with a smile. Again, he felt a small sting in his chest but just rubbed his chest and ignored it.


"Enough," Saïx replied to Axel's comment. Saïx looked down at his friend and took the ice cream. "The only way you could have saved me from such events would have been to have not lost yourself to the darkness in the first place. But this is neither the time nor place to discuss that." Saïx stared of into the horizon and looked around the town. "I'm surprised that Devlin could pull off such a maneuver, don't you? Everyone in this sad town have completely forgotten about their children and friends. And then to have so cleverly isolated this world from all others. Were it not for the corridors of darkness, I believe we'd have no place for ice cream."

Saïx gave a quick smile before changing it for his normal serious look. "We can't be seen talking as frequently Axel. Xemnas has cleared us of suspicion for now and I'd like it to stay that way. And I do believe we need now a backup plan. Suggestions?"


Devlin had stood outside the door to hear bits and pieces of the conversation to only lose interest and walk away. "Heh, should have expected as much from two old friends. Might as well give Virgil a few minutes to finish up. Then I'll-" he was cut off short to meet a hooded figure about 6 feet away from him. His coat was similair to that of the Organizations but was red and black with black chains around the arms. The only visible part of the figure was his glowing red eyes.

Devlin jumped back and quickky knelt trying to smile. "Oh, boss, heheh. I-I didn't see you there. Um, Virgil is, uh, in the other room fixing S-Selena." Devlin tryed to squeeze out a laugh but to no avail. The figure approached Devlin and patted him hard on the head before walking away, completely disappearing. "Yeah, um, you have fun in the forest doing...you know...whatever," Devlin yelled out to him, frowning afterwards.

 

Saïx pondered over this thought for a few seconds. To bring Keyblade Warriors into the equation was actually a good idea, even Saïx had to admit. But of course Saïx pointed out many flaws in the idea. He dismissed them all so he could be as kindhearted to his friend as possible after the charade he had pulled previously. "Not bad Axel. However, I do believe in a better one. I say we watch them until they defeat Devlin, to prove their strength. To send them to Xemnas at such an early stage would be like sending pigs to the slaughterhouse. No, if they can defeat Devlin, they will show their potential and power and just maybe be able to hold a candle to Xemnas." Saïx took one last look at the children before walking back through the corridor to the clock tower.

 

Jordan caught the chains and smiled at Will. "Don't forget about Darian and Angel either. Still got them around, haha," he joked. He walked around the store, eying all of the supplies it had to offer but only saw things with such incredible prices, it merely made Jordan turn away. He leaned against the wall, yawning, feeling himself grow more restless.

 

Saïx nodded to Axel's first question and replied, "Xjgbar is indeed a separate problem of his own. However, if we are to do anything at all, whether it involves taking out Xigbar or not, we must act cautiously. His antics merely hide his more cunning and sneaky nature. With him trying to be second in command with Xemnas, we may begin to see a lot more of him. I say we let the children handle him when the time is right." Saïx finished off his ice cream and sighed at Axel's second comment. "I assure you Axel, that by the time all of this is over, and with us in charge, we will regain our hearts and may acknowledge ourselves as full beings. And not the empty shells that we are now." Saïx paused, thinking about what he had just said about being empty shells. He had no idea, truthfully, if they would get their hearts back but knew that to gives up now would be giving up on his friend, which was the last thing he wanted.

 

The behemoth within Darian roared loudly as it's eyes went to a solid white color. "Leave...us...Go...BACK!" It's words echoing throughout Darian's being so loudly, it woke Darian up, and pushed Marluxia deep within Darian's subconsciousness so he could have no control over Darian for the time being. Darian's eyes opened up slowly to the sight of Angel's hand resting over his heart.. "A-Angel? What's going on," he asked, yawning as if he had just taken a nap.


Jordan looked at the kind strangers with a smile before saying, "Sorry Will, um, and people, I'm too worn out to hang around. So," before finishing his statement he took two pairs of the same chains he and Will had and walked out. "I'm off!" He made his way quickly to the ship and knocked on the door to be let in. "Knock knock!" He chuckled a bit before quickly turning around with a serious look. He then summoned his Keyblade to his side as if he were ready to fight. However, there was no one there.

 

Darian looked down at Angel, who had fainted onto his lap. He turned her around so he could look down at her face. After brushing some hair from her face, he sighed and put his head against hers and whispered, "Please Angela...please be alright." He quickly jumped upon hearing a loud crash outside followed by yelling. "Was that...Jordan?"


Jordan shrugged and sighed. "I must be hearing things, heh." He then proceeded to knock on the door again to see if there'd be a reply this time.
"Weee are NOT aloneee!"
Jordan quickly turned around again and stuffed the extra chains in his pocket and held his Keyblade tightly waiting for his hidden enemy to reveal themself. "Show yourself coward!" As if replying to his request, a few of the many other hidden foes revealed themselves to be Shadows and Soldiers. Smirking, Jordan taunted his enemy by swinging his Keyblade at a fast rate before spinning it on the ground, causing sparks to fly before stopping to yell, "Well what are you waiting for?" Slowly, a Shadow inched very slowly towards him tickling Jordans leg with its antennas as if checking for something. After a few seconds, Jordan simply slammed his Keyblade on the Heartless, causing the others to attack as well.


Devlin jumped and nearly pulled his Keyblade out on his friend before realizing who it was. "Oh Virgil. Just you. What? Oh it was...nothing. Forget it. And sure, sure, whatever. She's your pet, got it." Devlin laughed, hoping Virgil would too find the humor in it. He turned his back on Virgil and Selena to open a portal that overlooked the events transpiring in Traverse Town. "Hmph, they haven't even left yet? Well then, they will be heading to Destiny Islands afterwards so we'll get some time to 'spar' with them soon enough."

 

Devlin smirked and nodded in response. "Good idea. Knew there was a reason I kept you around with me," he said in a cocky voice but gave a chuckle afterward. Even through his devilish and sadistic demeanor that he could carry with such earnesty, he could show a more playful and joking side to Virgil. He stared back at the portal that overlooked Traverse Town's events and cocked his head to one side. "Oh? Jordan is...normal? Hmph. Selena will definitely be useful at the islands then if he is so resistant to," he mumbled, stopping after realizing he was biting a nail and was talking out loud. "If anything in our plan changes, I'll be sure to let you know. Especialky with others watching this as well."


Saïx looked down at the two children fighting off the what quickly looked like an endless wave of Heartless. He then turned his attention to Jordan. "Yes. That one is rather...peculiar. However," of course there was a however, "we cannot simply show up without a plan nor is it the appropriate time to appear after their recent run-ins with the Organization, all negative may I add. We must allow them some time between our next appearance and their previous one with Marluxia and Larxene." He then looked at Will and watched the fire in his eyes. Too Saïx, these two couldn't be more perfect in taking on Xemnas. With one having, what looks to be, a power for darkness and the other having such an intense sense of anger and will to fight, there was little doubt that they could defeat Xemnas. He was especially anxious to see the other kids as well.


Jordan turned to see his friend and smiled. "Not too much for you, right? I think you can handle it if I clear the first wave for you first." He slashed through a couple more Heartless with only more to reappear. He could feel his Keyblade grow heavy in his hand, from fighting and restlessness, but continued only for him to start swinging slower. 'Why...Why do I feel so tired,' he thought, figuring a confrontation like this would keep him up.
