Deimos grinded his teeth as Sophia hugged him, his body still in pain from both Kousei's punch, and the assault from earlier. "Don't be mad...?" Then he heard Jordan loud and clear, and against his better judgement, he summoned his keyblade and threw it at the boy, only for his shadow to rise up and block the weapon before it could connect. "Okay, while yes, that was understandabley called for, it wasn't fucking cool."

"Cool? Are you insane? You wipe out our soldiers, and damn near fucking kill me, and you expect me to care whether it's cool or not if I attack you?" He then turned to Jordan and pointed, cringing as he did so, "As for you, I don't know what Sophia told you, but you belong in a cell. Apologize all you want, but you're a threat to Sophia and I cannot allow that to stand." Breathing heavily, Deimos grabbed his chest and with all the strength he could muster stood up from his bed and in a second lap of good judgement, punched Jordan's shadow, only to be kicked in the midsection in retaliation, sending the guardian to one knee.

"Oh you're dead. Jordan, let me kill this stupid son of a bitch..."

" Chill would you..do you want to end up dead and buried" A Voice said lazily. It was none other than Virgil. he had been observing all of today's happenings from a safe distance and had all the information he needed. and some information he didnt expect to find out. Walking past jordan he only turned a single eye in his direction then quickly adjusted his attention to Sophia and the injured Deimos.

My student i can help him get better i know exactly what he needs to eh...recover properly. Virgil pointed a finger at Deimos's chest " That is the core of your problems friend. and i think i know how to remedy your issues because at this rate you won't recover at any sort of pace that will be helpful to anyone. let alone recover at all.

Virgil sat in a chair across the room next to the Doctor who had her arms crossed and her eyes were fuming.

" Look here yall can't be coming into my office causing all this non sense!" She yelled.

Jordan had begun to protest his friend's destructive notions before hearing a familiar voice from behind him. His eye twitched once, the voice ringing through his head and chest. Confirming his suspicions, a familiar figure walked past Jordan, barely even glancing at him as he did so. Jordan's face twisted a bit, a crooked smile emerging from the corner of his mouth. He took a step forward and began to speak. "V-"

"Oh, Master Virgil," Sophia exclaimed, a bit caught off guard by his sudden appearance. Granted, it was nothing new for Virgil to suddenly appear when he could add more to the situation than others. Sophia motioned her way towards Virgil and pointed at him. "Jordan, this is my teacher, Master Virgil! Master Virgil, this is a new friend of mine who I might not too long ago, Jordan. He also had another friend but-"

"MASTER Virgil," Jordan yelled happily, clapping his hands together. He had a wide smile across his face as he grabbed Deimos by his shoulder and squeezing it tightly. "Deimos, my friend, there's no need to harm this...other Deimos. Besides, what has he done wrong? He merely defended himself and we just, barged right into this world, attacking with little hesitation." As he spoke, he began to slowly move towards Virgil, each word he spoke aimed at him like a dagger. "I mean....if I got attacked for just being myself, hell, even killed...I'd be pissed too." He stared at Virgil intently, locking his own lips a bit.

Just as quickly as he began his rant, Jordan recovered himself, placing a hand over his face and wiping it down to his chin. He took a step back, turning around to recollect his train of thought. "Ok...ok...I'm sorry...where are my manners," Jordan turned around with a smirk. "Let's redo that, shall we?" Clearing his throat, he held a hand out to Virgil. "MASTER Virgil, my name is Jordan. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Eyes opening upon unfamiliar settings, Kelianne pushed herself up from a cold, cobblestone bedding. Immediately abused by the shining of neon lights, she squinted as she peered about her new surroundings. “Where…? How…?” she asked her question, voice resonating as though she were standing in the midst of the castles grand hall. When her eyes adjusted to the lighting, she found that she was standing in an abandoned, yet well-kept town plaza. “Traverse Town?” she recalled from her days learning of the worlds from her father. Many strands of neon and other lighting mediums decorated the plaza, livening the otherwise dull, gray-blue stone work from which the walls and walkways were made.

For some time, so it seemed, she circled the plaza, hoping, with each pass, that she would come across another person; no such solace was to be found. At long last, she gave up her pursuit, setting herself upon one knee by a doorway marked with a flame emblem. Unsuccessfully attempting to rest upon that very spot, she was pulled back to her feet by a noise coming from somewhere beyond the door. She spun around, surmising the noise as the crying of a child.

“Kelianne.” A strangely familiar voice called out from beyond the door, muffling the cries of the child. “No. Don’t hurt the kid!” Kelianne responded, indifferent to whether or not the person on the other side had any such intent. She moved towards the door, which opened of its own accord.

A blinding light pierced through her pupils. A shadowed outline of a person stood in the doorway, not from the Third District of Traverse Town, but within her very room in the castle. “What?” Eyes adjusting once more to new lighting, she discovered that she had, somehow, fallen from her bed and onto the floor; she also noticed that she was drenched in a coat of sweat. She looked up to the now clearly-focused Raven, rubbed her eyes, and hastily rose to her feet. “To what do I owe this sort of honor!?” she asked. Just barge right in why don’t you?

"VIRGIL?" Deimos gazed questioningly at his creator who appeared out of seemingly nowhere. What were the odds, honestly, that he'd run into the man who created him, and subsequently ended his existence. "Umm... I mean...? Hi?"

Glaring at the people surrounding him, Deimos relented and bowed through the pain towards Virgil. "It's a pleasure to see you again Virgil, shall we speak in private regarding the... core of the problem?" A frown graced his lips as he looked over at the man's shadow, who seemed to recognize Virgil, but that could be addressed later. If Virgil stepped in, something was wrong internally and it needed to be fixed.

Virgil turned his head towards Jordan and smirked. " Yo!" was all he said in a seemingly playful yet lazy manner. Virgil knew more than he was willing to speak of that much was obvious. " It's nice to meet you to Jordan and i see you've met my tiny titan of a pupil here Sophia. She's currently under my super vision for training. which we need to get to today but i need to speak with Deimos for a moment.

Virgil stood up and stretched patting Deimos on the back to follow him. " Sophia why dont you give jordan a tour of this castle. maybe a walk around the locals show him the bar's taverns really make our guest feel at home yea? and when you return meet me at the courtyard for training. As Virgil crossed paths with Jordan it was almost as if time stopped. " Meet me tonight in the forest we'll talk then."

With that Virgil walked past Jordan and gestured for Deimos to follow him outside to the courtyard.

"Direct and straight to the point. That's always convenient. I'm here to give you a new assignment and get you back up on your feet." Raven silently complimented herself for what she considered to be a pun since Kelianne was on the floor a moment ago.

"Due to some unforeseen circumstances Deimos is unable to fulfill his role as Sophia's guard in his full capacity. Given that this leaves me shorthanded I need somebody to help pick up the slack. Which is where you come in. I would prefer it if you were to serve as Deimos' replacement until he is able to recover from his current state."

"By the way, do you always sleep like that? Or does being drenched in sweat mean you had a bad dream?"

Deimos sighed and nodded, following Virgil outside to the courtyard. "I don't quite understand what's wrong. Usually I'm able to determine what's wrong myself and I can fix it without your aid... Truly, it befuddles even me, but regardless, I have faith in your ability to fix whatever is wrong. Just... keep the princess in the dark. I know you know why, so I won't say more then that."

Shrugging with little care, Deimos threw an arm around Jordan and smirked, "I guess we're getting a tour! Woohoo! This kind of excites me, I haven't seen a castle since Pinky's! Damn that was ages ago!"

"Yes. Of course." Kelianne combed about the floor, collecting her armor, listening to Raven's instructions as she re-donned the regalia. It was a quick process, trained and honed over the years of experience, both simulation and real. Each piece of armor practically set itself upon its necessary portion of body, and was just as quickly secured into its position. She made it half through the process before dropping a shoulder plate with another piercing clang. Quickly as she had been donning her armor, she spun about and glared at Raven, blushing in light of the last inquiry.

    "It was nothing,"
she said, stoutly throwing her chin up. "Just fell out of bed; stress and fatigue... is it really all that important?"

Whether or not it was important, she didn't care for the answer. She resumed gearing up, and steered the conversation back towards the topic at hand. "Tell me," she said, strapping her scabbard at around her waist. "Does this have anything to do with the commotion in the woods earlier? What happened out there?" She slung her shield onto her back and cradled her helmet in her left hand. With her right hand, she ushered Raven out of the room, closing the door behind with a resonating slam. "Just tell me what is going on... everything, please."

Raven looked at their surroundings. Out on the castle grounds, in the open. The answers Kelianne wanted weren't exactly open conversation material. Raven thought of a way to explain things in a way that would be vague enough for people to not catch on while simultaneously answering Kelianne's questions.

"Yes, it has to do with the commotion earlier. A small group of travelers were caught by some guards and a fight broke out. Unfortunately some of the guards died during this fight. Deimos rushed to the scene and panicked, attacking the group with his spell Oblivion. They survived and injured him and then I intervened before the fighting continued. After negotiating with them they told me that they were on some sort of mission. In exchange for continuing their mission unhindered, I have taken one of them into custody." Raven pointed at Kate's still frozen in time body. "Princess Sophia, with the naive kindness in her heart, has offered the remaining traveler a place to stay while he recuperates and goes about on his mission. As for why he needs to recuperate, they appear to be not of this world nor any other known world in the realm. I don't know the exact reasons why, though I could hazard some guesses, but being here prevents him from being at full strength."

As Raven explained the details to Kelianne, the pair was walking first to the dungeon and then next to the infirmary. Upon reaching the dungeon, Raven set Kate's body in one of the cells and locked it up. Bars of light formed alongside standard metal bars and a barrier to keep things in. "Release." The stop spell ended, unfreezing Kate. The chains of light Raven had previously used to bind Kate's hands also vanished. "My sincerest apologies for the wait. But as promised, the spells binding you are now removed. Once Jordan completes the mission you all are on, you shall be released and your weapons returned to you."

With those words spoken, Raven left the room with Kelianne. She placed Kate's weapons in a chest and sealed it with her magic and then the pair left for the infirmary.

Jordan's face had momentarily broke from his faux smile and instead had a serious face, one familiar to Deimos as a face of business. "Good. I'm sure we both have some questions," Jordan managed to quickly reply under his breath to Virgil. He turned his head back and watched as he left the room before turning back to smile warmly at Sophia. Several questions arose in his head, most of which were obvious given the current situation. However, he kept a level mind of the situation and decided that those questions and issues could be resolved at a later time.

"So Princess, it sounds like you'll be giving me a tour. If you don't mind, that is."

Sophia shot Jordan a smile and cocked her head to the side and replied, "Of course! I would love to show off my kingdom to you and your friend!" She quickly grabbed Jordan by the hand and began skipping out of the door. It happened so quickly, the Jordan had actually been caught off guard, stumbling a bit to catch up, as to not fall behind.

Just as the two were halfway down the hallway leading to the outside, Jordan managed to stop the two of them from moving further, firmly planting himself so Sophia could no longer drag him. Tripping forward a bit, but still holding his hand, Sophia looked back at Jordan with a slightly confused face. "Um...is everything alright?"

Jordan scratched his head a bit, remembering that Sophia had told him and his friends that she was currently supposed to be having brunch with many people in her kingdom. "Weren't you supposed to be having your little brunch thing though? Wouldn't wanna interrupt your plans just for some tour."

In all of the excitement of the day so far, Sophia had completely forgotten about it, dropping Jordan's hand to cover her mouth. "Oh shoot! I have to go say something to them or-"

"No need Madam. Muriel and I sent your guests off mere moments ago. The dining hall is already cleared of guests," a voice said from behind the two. Descending from the stairs was Parzival, Sophia's blind butler. He walked down with his hands folded behind his back and stopped on the last step. He moved his head from side to side curiously before frowning a bit in Jordan's direction. "You must be the cause of that commotion earlier this morning. I trust that Kelianne or Raven are aware that you are taking the young princess away from the safety of her castle right now without any guardians present?"

Jordan raised his chin up a bit, as if looking down on Parzival, although he was merely examining him in his own peculiar way. "No. Virgil is well aware that I'm with her. And she's actually taking me out of the castle right now."

Before the soon to be heated argument could gain any fuel, Sophia butted in by grabbing Jordan's wrist and smiling happily at Parzival. "Don't worry Parzival! Master Virgil told me to show our guest here around the kingdom a bit before our training later on! I won't be out long, I swear!"

Almost like a parent, unwillingly agreeing to their child's wishes, Parzival sighed and nodded at the young princess and mysterious stranger. "Very well Miss Sophia. I shall respect your wishes and allow you to take this...gentleman out into town." And with that, Parzival turned around and retreated back up the stairs.

Jordan watched Parzival leave with much confusion and distaste. He was never fond of people distrustful of him, and could tell when someone felt that way about him. He wasn't allowed to dwell further on it as Sophia began tugging Jordan away once more, shouting happily, "First stop should be the marketplace! That's where all the good stuff is!" And with that, Sophia opened the doors of leading outside and guided Jordan and Deimos out.

"-cker," Kate finished yelling after being free from the spell Raven had casted over her. She looked around, examining her surroundings and realized that her hands may have been free now but she was also now locked up. She began biting her bottom lip furiously, the cage bringing back some unsettling memories. She ran up to the bars, staring at Raven and this new female with blue eyes filled with rage. Before she could say a word, Raven spoke first:

"My sincerest apologies for the wait. But as promised, the spells binding you are now removed. Once Jordan completes the mission you all are on, you shall be released and your weapons returned to you."

Kate grabbed the bars, irritated that she now had to be on standby until Jordan finished what the trio had came here for. "Seriously? A fucking cage? Do I look like a damn monkey to you bastards?" Kate began to kick the cell bars repeatedly out of anger before growling out loud. Before Raven an Kelianne left, Kate managed to yell out, hopefully for them to hear, "You better hope Jordan gets him soon! Because you fucks got some kind of assassin running around here until then!"

With that said, Kate turned around and slid to the floor, back against the cell. She brought her knees to her chest and buried her face in her knees, whispering something incoherently to herself.

Leaning against the wall to the dungeons Kousei waited for Raven to exit. and came around the corner entering. He never had many problems sneaking about when he wanted. Kate seemed to be sitting on the ground her face in her knees. " Well well well what do we have here? ya know for someone who doesnt want to be caged like a wild animal you sure act like one. " Kousei said in a arrogant tone. His sword and weapons had been returned to him so now he was waiting to make a move.

Kneeling down to her level he tapped on the bars " Some strong magic they got you behind here. So tell me why you guys are here" Unlike the others i'm less diplomatic maybe we can strike some sort of deal.

    --------------

Virgil lead Deimos out of the infirmary and out into the main courtyard. Coming to a stop he brushed his black hair away from his face and directed his attention to Deimos " As i've said to you prior, your core is not functioniing. Under normal circumstances it would be easy for me to repair it. However you took a critical blow directly through the main Corvex. Magic mumbo jumbo, what you do need to be worried about is a few things however.

Putting up one finger as he spoke.
"One, your body will not repair itself properly, and you will remain in a low power state,
Two, your body will consume more energy to make up for what it does not currently has meaning you will be fatigued greatly. and 3 if you do not get this repaired soon, your body will enter a shut down state. Lucky for you in my observations there is actually across the mountains a cluster of Underground ruins. In these ruins you will be searching for a Anima Relic you'll know it when you see it. it's essentially a glowing blue orb. if it's still there that is. with treasure hunters about who knows if it has or has not been raided but according to my sources a lot of this place is unexplored. For now this will keep you moving. "

Virgil placed his Hand upon Deimos's chest and black and white waves began to pulsate. a large boom sound was caused and it made a small impact causing the ground to shake slightly. " I just imbued you with energy directly into your core this will keep you functioning at 100% only temporarily. So make your trip swift. under normal circumstances i'd go with you but...we have visitors and i have to .....tend to them"

"Uuuh." Kelianne heaved a massive, disappointed sigh. So Deimos was involved; I hate it when I'm right. Using Oblivion right from the outset.

"What was he thinking?" she spat. "That kid'll get himself killed one of these days if he doesn't find his caution soon." She shook her head and shuddered. Oblivion was one of Deimos' most devastating spells, one that even the most stalwart of the castle's Knights admitted to fearing. Of course, few had ever been on the receiving end of the barrage; Keli herself was one of few that had managed to fend it off, but that was only once, with great difficulty and even she hadn't emerged from it completely unscathed.

She glared back at the bound and frozen Kate with narrow, scrutinizing eyes. But these travelers seem more trouble than we expected, even in the current climate. To survive Oblivion with only part of their power is a mind boggling feat. This could get rough should we come to blows... but then... I've been holding back myself, lately. She remained silent, observing Raven's crafty spell work in arranging Kate's containment. When the magic was done, she threw Kate one last sharp glance, and departed beside her fellow guardian towards the infirmary.

The walk remained in silence, neither Keli nor Raven divulging any further information. A short while later the infirmary doors came into view at the end of a corridor. "Well then," she said, as she halted in front of the double doors. She swung one open, and stepped into the infirmary. "Lady Sophia?"

"I'm sorry. Lady Sophia is not here at the moment. She left a little bit ago with a new guest. Master Virgil insisted that she give the guest a tour of the castle grounds. He did mention that he would meet up with Lady Sophia in the courtyard later for training." A nurse spoke to Kelianne when the pair walked into the infirmary.

"I see." Raven sighed. "And where is Virgil right now?"

"I'm sorry milady. He left with Deimos shortly after Lady Sophia left. He didn't say where they were going."

"Of course he did. Sorry for troubling you."

"Oh no, it is no trouble at all."

"Thank you for your help." Raven replied before she and Kelianne left the infirmary.

"While I'm not too worried about Jordan doing anything to Sophia, it is best we find them. Considering what his companion spoke as we left her, I think it is about time he told me who it is he is looking for."

Kate managed to break from her repeated chanting momentarily to look up at the unfamiliar voice. She recognized Kousei's face vaguely from the forest but had not gotten his name like the others nor had she been able to analyze him beforehand. This all had her uneasy to speak to the stranger already.

"Fuck you," were the first words to escape her mouth, her mind lingering on the comment comparing her to an animal. She gave a disgusted look at the boy, eyeing him from head to toe, as he dared to ask what their purpose was here in this world. As far as she was concerned, there was nothing much to discuss other than the fact that Jordan had no issue with the kingdom and was merely dealing with business. But even that seemed too much to say.

But every second behind those bars grew more painful and even longer.

"That's it? Bust my ass out of this shit and I'll tell you all about our little excursion."

"It's just around this corner now Jordan, this way," Sophia happily exclaimed, skipping down the street ahead of Jordan. Since exiting the castle, the streets had seemed rather empty up until this point. While only a few people were still walking up and down the street, a loud gathering of people could be hear not far from where the trio were. Undoubtedly this was the marketplace Sophia had spoken highly of during the entire walk here. She held nothing back when explaining to Jordan and Deimos in depth as to what they could expect there and what kind of merchandise they could expect from the vendors here. From the usual to the unusual, there was something for everyone here. You just had to look.

Jordan smiled as he slowly began to catch up to Sophia, mumbling under his breath to his shadow, Deimos, "She sure is a ball of energy, ain't she? Hey, when we get there, go ahead and walk around as you please if you want. Just don't draw too much attention to yourself, alright? last thing we need is our assassin catching wind of us being here." As he approached Sophia, she placed her hand behind her back, leaning in to him with a playfully evil smile. Jordan raised an eyebrow at this non-cheery face of hers and stuttered out, "Wh-What is it?"

She swayed from left to right, quietly just smiling at Jordan before finally giggling out, "I don't have any bodyguards so that makes it your job to protect me, ok?" She then put her arms out to her sides, as if to show off muscles and continued, "See? So don't let me down!"

Jordan chuckled and looked off to the side, with a face of slight amusement. "Heh, you know, I'm usually the one with the bodyguards, and that's so I don't have to exert myself. So you got the right guy on your hands when it comes to protection, Princess." He gave a small bow before giving a coy smile.

Sophia giggled and turned to face the marketplace. "Good, then let's get going!"

As the two made their way around the corner, Jordan could finally see the layout of this massive place. The entire street was littered with crowds of people either moving through the marketplace or gathered around the vendors who had put up shop in the stores on the street or the sidewalks. One vendor was selling Potions for 50 Munny while the one further down had multiple signs saying 20 Munny. Surprisingly, both shops were evenly split in customers. Jordan scratched his head, not sure where exactly to begin, before Sophia would grab his wrist and begin pushing through the crowds of people. To Jordan's surprise, whether or not the people recognized the young blonde girl trying to make her way through was the Princess made no difference. Not a single person would step aside and miss out on bargaining on whatever trinket intrigued them.

"You never loved her!" Palmund heard the roar of his already booming voice escape his lips. The crown on his brother's head became all the more aparent, but he could not stop himself, "You're too busy being a king to be the girl's damn grandfather!"

The throne room fell silent. Palmund's heavy breathing resonated across the hushed crowd. The King, sitting before Palmund and the rest of the assembled lords and ladies in a high, white and gold throne, was not pleased with his sibling's remark. His face was red, his lips puckered into a thin line, and his right hand grasped the arm of the throne with a vice grip that looked as if he was trying to flatten the thing. (Though more than likely, he was keeping his hand from dropping to his sword.)

"Get...Out." Hissed the ruler through gritted teeth.

Two days later, a royal edict was passed down, straight from The King, ordering Palmund to lead a small garrison of the castle guard into the Kingdom of Twilight "to protect his beloved granddaughter in these troubling times."

And so it was, that Palmund the Grey heard the mighty gate of the castle crash shut behind him, and started his trek to the Kingdom of Twilight.

When he and his men finally arrived, they were tired of travel, but curious as to the state of the castle. Palmund's voice echoed across the land as he sang a fairly common travelling song (slightly off-key) all the way up to the mighty fence.

"Halt!" came a rather tinny voice from on top of the ramparts. "State your name and business or turn back on your way!"

Palmund found this odd for the typically accepting kingdom, but advanced security measures were to be expected, so he cheerfully called back, "Palmund the Grey, brother to The King of Light! I'm here to deliver soldiers to the Prin- Er, Queen."
"Queen," he thought. The word sounded so odd. The little girl he had left here years ago had not been a queen. He wondered what his niece would be like now that she had grown.

His pondering was interrupted by the creaking of the gates, and after a grateful wave at the guard, he and his party strode into the Kingdom of Twilight.

"That's it? Bust my ass out of this shit and I'll tell you all about our little excursion."

"Gritting his teeth Kousei stared Kate in the eyes, His green viper eyes almost seemingly glaring into her soul. " That's not now this works you'll need to give me more than that if you want me to get you out of here. To be quite honest when i first saw you, you looked like you've seen battle a few times in your life....more importantly.." Kousei clinched his fist." I saw the weapon that was confiscated from you.....you're a sniper and i need you for something. So let's make a deal. You tell me why you're here and i'll help you with your little " excursion" as long as it keeps Sophia out of danger and in exchange you help me take care of ....something"

Kousei hovered a hand over the bars and his hand began to pulsate with a dark green aura. " This is a powerful magic barrier but i can break it. "

Kousei as he finished saying this words his eyes became as almost they were devoid of life, a cold glaring stare as he opened his mouth once more. " However...if you double cross me i will not hesitate to kill you..."

Deimos gazed at Virgil and sighed, "Very well... If I am to go, then I must first speak with Sophia and Kelianne. After that, I will head out and retrieve this core. Thank you Virgil, I understand that time is of the essence, but this is important." He bowed to Virgil and headed off in search of the two ladies he was looking for.

"WOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Deimos went back and forth between stores, browsing and eavesdropping. It wasn't too exciting, but he had fun, though every few minutes, he'd return to Jordan's side to see what was up. "So Phie Phie, have you crushed on anyone yet? Maybe Raven? Or the bodyguard? Come on spill the beans! Tell old Deimos who you're falling in love with! Or... maybe you aren't crushing on anyone?! That would be interesting!"

Palmund and his men moved across the ground with a cautious air about them. It seemed as if no one was out and about despite the pleasant weather. A few guards rushed about their duties near the castle, but they were few and far between.

It wasn't long before Palmund and his group reached the castle's barracks, and he gave a message to one of the weary-looking soldiers unlucky enough to be traversing the halls upon Palmund's arrival. Soon enough, Captain Garrick came forward to meet him.

"Garrick!" said Palmund, putting forth no effort to mask the air of excitement about his words. He thrust forward a large hand, and the captain respectfully returned the greeting.
    "Palmund," he said uniformly.
The captain's formality did nothing to change Palmund's enthusiasm.
"I've come to deliver these men to Princess Sophia... Under your command of course."
"Is that all?" asked Garrick, raising a silver eyebrow quizzically.
Palmund chuckled a bit, "No, I suppose not, Captain. I'm here to oversee the castle and the garrison for some period of time."
"I thought as much." said Garrick, "Oh well, I suppose the castle could use your presence again."
"I imagine it's been rather dull around here since the assassination?" asked Palmund in a much more grave tone.
"As can be expected," Garrick replied.

Palmund nodded comprehensively and got the castle's news from Garrick. Halfway through the captain's recollection of the days excitement, Palmund stopped him.
"Hold on, Captain," said Palmund, "You left Sophia alone with one of the attackers?"
Garrick coughed, pausing a second before replying, "It's not how it sounds, I can assure you."
Palmund regarded the captain, his eyes reflecting what came across as dismay. He smiled faintly, before thanking the captain and, despite Garrick's staunch objection, briskly paced off to find his niece.

Kelianne's face slowly went from off-white to red as the nurse spoke. She was ready to burst when Raven began speaking, cutting her off before she had a chance to speak herself. Her bottom teeth bit into her upper lip; her tongue rolled to the back of her mouth. Silently, she bobbed impatiently from toe to heel, gritting her teeth until it was finally her turn to speak.

"IS ALL OF THIS A JOKE TO YOU PEOPLE!?" like a large balloon popping in the middle of a party, Kelianne let loose a vicious yell. Every patient and nurse in the infirmary cocked their heads towards her. The nurses in particular wore expressions of disdain, as if to scold her for making such an uproar in a medical ward. "Sorry," Kelianne said after an awkward moment of silence. "But we seem to be forgetting our current circumstances." Still fuming, she pulled at Raven, ushering her out of the infirmary behind her. Expediting and lengthening her stride, she cut through the corridors towards the main entrance.

"What a fucking mess... pardon. But first Deimos is injured; now everyone and their mother is letting Her Majesty out of the castle in the company of someone she's only just met. You may not have a problem with this 'Jordan' fellow, Raven, but anyone involved in the slaying of our own guardsmen shouldn't be so lightly trusted in these times... And VIRGIL?! What was HE thinking? HE should know better than anyone... ugh! Let's just find Princess Sophia. The sooner I see that she's safe, the better off I'll be."
